Featured characters like Johnny and Gyro are very obvious choices for Medicos to ride on for releases. Same with Valentine and D4C. Johnny already has an announcement so hopefully next WF we see something.

Things has just gotten much slower with all these reissues and newer series being picked up for releases. The bigger question is mostly allies for SAS releases since smaller villains never got an SAS for JJBA.

It's speculation now but as far as Medicos knows, Stone Ocean is done and Steel Ball Run is the next step for the JoJo line. Might as well settle for her mini-figure and call it a day since they won't revisit Stone Ocean for a new figure but instead just reissue the usual cast and possibly throw in a recolor like Giorno 2nd.

Yep, took SAL on both. Okuyasu went out on the 16th and I got him on the 23rd.

Hard to say beyond the regular spots. Jungle is an option and I think I linked her once but you have to keep in mind the 5% additional fee and Jungle's shipping on top of your order (though it has been a while so I'm not sure how much changed for Jungle's shipping now)

You can always take a shot on the other buyfag sites and keep a tab on those who keep an pre-owned or 2nd hand section for Medicos figures. Or use Figinstock and see where that takes you but my luck hasn't been the greatest in terms of message retrieval times to actually finding and ordering the item in question before the sold out message pops up.

Not much as far as I know. Usually we either wait until WF for a painted showing of the figure or an announcement on Medicos's main site with both release dates and final color choices.

No fakes exists for this line so if anything is wonky then that's probably a qc issue related to that particular figure like The World's eyes being mis-positioned.

As for the characters you want, Josuke got reissued like the 3rd time so you're good. Blonde Kira is only available for Kira 2nd who will never get a reissue so take your chances on the usual shops. Jotaro and DIO are easy to come by depending on what version you want. Jotaro 1.5 is a redone version of Jotaro 1st with the standard headsculpt we have now and is usually the rarer Jotaro beyond the super limited diamond Jotaro. Same as Dio but depending on if you want Awakened Dio or regular Dio who is readily available versus the rarer WF Dio.

Since you're getting into this line, expect only 1at release colorways to meet reissues whereas more desired colors like Limited Edition Josuke is much harder to come by and more expensive due to that.

If it's coming out of Osaka Intl it can get there in a week. Tokyo it's more of a toss up, most likely 3 weeks or more. My Kira and Killer Queen took about 2 and a half weeks to get out of dispatch office of exchange on SAL small packet, so don't freak if it takes a while.

Good rule of thumb when it comes to posing JJBA characters' legs is that you can do some seriously crazy shit with them and it will almost always fit better than them being straight-legged.

Also, you can tilt his head down when it's sideways, you just need to move the head off the peg.

Probably ties better if you can get an in-scale table set. Stray Cat doesn't really need to be there since the whole look would be Kira sitting in a cafe or at home with different food items. Though I like the idea with the hand, maybe using Giorno's tea cup helps displaying that better.

It isn't exactly "loose", but it does pop out if I pull from the bottom with the same force to take the head part off. Maybe it's a defect specific to figures with that kind of neck joint? He was a brand new figure, all his components were sealed and his box had two clear circular tapes on top and bottom.

Not sure if it's a defect exclusive to the figure like The World's misaligned eyes or Jolyne's loose elbows. No anon's seem to report it when he was released and to my knowledge it can be a general qc error if it's truly new. If anything your case seems light versus my Giorno who's neck just falls off by a single touch from the joint.

What you can try to do is put a little layer of tissue paper and see if that's enough to secure the neck without it popping out when you swap heads but also retain general range of movement.

Just her but a few other preowned SAS I have loose elbows but that was through previous usage versus the brand new Jolyne at release. Though my brand new WF GER has a poorly attached elbow piece when I got him in post-WF.

However anon's had a couple that are fine but it is an issue to be aware of if you plan to get her. Not sure on how WF Jolyne came out since not many reported on her also so I assume maybe she's better. Like anything, just be very careful when manipulating her.

I've had the rocket elbows happen on Anasui and Hermes, too, but not much else.

Kiss has that swappable back piece that just friction fits so it will dislodge constantly unless you glue it in, and the floaty neck piece might be annoying.

Diver Down's arms detach to use Anasui's effect pieces and they can come off too easily sometimes.

Not always. It really depends on the figure, as many of them just have a ball joint rotation around the midsection + a side/side swivel on the hip due to belts, shirts, abs, or other pieces.

Some designs have enough soft material or lack of intrusive features that change their flexibility.

For example, Stone Free (right) has joints below the ribcage AND the hipjoint, while Rohan V2 (left) seems to have a unique case of just a swivel joint at the midsection and a ball at the hip.

It's an interesting topic of discussion though, since I often find myself unaware of all the joints some of my figures have, since articulation varies so much between figures.

Part 3 has shown its age honestly now that you compare them to later parts but it depends who you pick up. The World is a fine figure given his standard prices across all 3 of his regular colorways and even though I don't have the original shot you can pull of a decent recreation of the scene with him and Star Platinum pulling off one final attack even with the hip parts limiting his leg range. I heard some good things with Magician's Red and Star Platinum himself is decent enough even though you will miss the improvements the Part 4 resculpt has done for general articulation.

Forgot to add, Dio himself is still decent enough. Awakened Dio is something I've always had a mixed bag about but he should be generally cheap if you want to make a final battle scene with him and Jotaro. Regular Dio just comes with enough accessories to really make him worth the purchase.

Got WF Jolyne, surprisingly not a single rocket elbow yet, but her spiral hand piece (the one that spirals up to a single string) was a pain to remove once trying it out; almost thought I'd pull the ball peg out of her wrist.

Also, she had a defect with her cape being easily removable (which the seller disclosed)...it can actually fit back in the back cape hole and sit there (loosely, granted), but I like her better without the cape, so yay for defects? She just feels less restricted without it, easier to have Stone Free up in her space, too.

It could ultimately be a choice decision somewhere in Medico's department. They never really got into reissuing 2nd and 3rds even though they are vastly more desired for the most part. Only Jotaro 2nd was the case but I think that was for the Jotaro 1.5 head he came with to help out those who have the original Jotaro 1st.

Just set your expectations to dead if you want to see 2nd and 3rd colorways reissued and just stick to the aftermarket or auction sites like YHA if you really can afford the fees.

That sucks. Why the fuck wasn't Killer Queen first pink then? I know there's no "canon" colors in JoJo but pink Killer Queen is basically canon as it's the colorized manga and anime color.

I kept it as a rule of thumb that 1st colorways are usually standard and not going for the more fantastical color contrasts that Araki is good at when he does colored artworks. I guess at some business perspective, always save the good colorways for later releases/WF since fans will pick those up and only reissue the standard 1sts for those who missed out on the character but not the colors.

Oddly enough I find it funny that the expensive as sin Swarovarski SAS's are usually colorways that are common to find versus desired ones like KQ2nd's pinks or Caesar 1st's greens. Even The Hand I think was The Hand 2nd and not the 1st when he was given the diamond treatment.

Up to you on which color you prefer the most. With the anime still on-going and with Bite The Dust being an eventuality I won't be surprised to see KQ in general being hard to come by.

Then go for KQ2nd when you have the chance. All these reissued KQ1st should eventually pop up on the usual sites for 2nd hand figures. Plus I can already feel KQ's biggest scenes like pic related bumping up people who want a KQ figure.

Seems like there's a few spots where the paint is pretty iffy, but overall looks good. I still don't like the edgy CUHRAAAZI face.

I also don't like that the TG SAS seem to be their own scale, bigger than typical SAS to perhaps be able to ask more for them. In the end, I'd prefer them smaller because they'll just stick out, scale-wise.

That normal face suits me just fine.

Jesus, it seems like Medicos isn't giving their all for this IP. At least Shinichi comes with various accessories and 2 migi figures with one having movable points with the only downside being his single jointed elbows.

To be frank, it's just an edgy crazyface, and I don't mind that it looks ugly. The main face, bar sloppy paint around hair, looks great to me, and that's all that matters.

They could definitely do better, but it doesn't matter. After Kaneki, they'll probably drop the license anyway, so it's fine. My gripe remains the scale, which seems to be larger than the average SAS, which might be a way for them to jack up the price, but in the end just makes it harder to fit into collection.

But whatever, maybe I'm too easy on Medicos because my standards were lowered considerably by the trainwreck that was Tsukiyama.

Hell, for me, if Kaneki ends up okay, I consider that a victory.

The emotion of the face isn't the issue Tokyo Ghoul anon but the fact the paint was applied in such a way that it seems that Medicos isn't giving the same effort like they did with their mainline. I don't care too much for Tokyo Ghoul since I dislike some of the designs but seeing Medicos taking the chance to make 3 figures from this line and having 1 being such a letdown that I wonder how well the other IP's will do if they keep trying new series. So far Parasyte and Aijin/IBM are solid releases but I wonder what's going on for Toyko Ghoul to have such lackluster showings. Hell, maybe Nuu just got a iffy one but I have to see other Japanese reviewers.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. Well, I think RWBY figures might end up like the Tokyo Ghoul figures. Drifters? Not sure. Baoh? I doubt it. They probably hold too much of a respect for Araki's work to deliver anything lower than a typical Jojo SAS treatment.

And yeah, the fact that they're delivering such poor quality on the Tokyo Ghoul line could sensibly annoy people who don't even like Tokyo Ghoul.

Tokyo Ghoul fans can hate it for obvious reasons. Jojo fans could hate it because if you're not gonna even try, then don't even bother - that way Jojo releases won't be delayed for sub-par to mediocre quality figures.

Probably expanding to more series like other companies seeing how Kinnikumen fell short. Not sure if this shotgun approach will help since I don't know if this is done to find the next mainline series once they finish JJBA or they want to test waters in series other companies haven't invested heavily in.

Why? You seem to be already set on what color you want. The reissue is just there to meet the anime and for those who missed out on the last reissue orders. It's not like there's a major engineering difference between the colorways, it's just a recolor with an additional soundplate irrc for KQ2nd. The KQ1st just comes off a little bland once you've seen the 2nd and even 3rd colorways but that's just my observation.

It's up to you. The initial shots of Killer Queen in the anime looked pretty white, but lots of later scenes (and I'd say most scenes) have KQ with fairly pink tones.

Pink KQ to me seems most accurate to the anime, especially because it has reddish pupils (even though anime KQ has red irises, too).

Medicos did a solid do-over on his body. The new hips are open enough that you can do high kicks easily without the sculpting of his leg restricting movement. There's also butterfly joints so he has extended range of movement for his arms. The ab crunch is slightly better but the waist rotation is the big plus over Part 3 SP.

They also threw in joints for his shoulder armor so you don't have to worry about warping those for high punches like in Part 3 SP.

The only gripe that comes across people is the headsculpt and colors but Medicos essentially made a SP 2.0 for Part IV.
