I got an Aly doll about a year a go, but sadly the body she came with was shit so I picked up a MTM Kira doll a few weeks back, and give her body to my Aly doll.

Sadly this is most likely a foreshadowing of future prices to come.

Back in 2012 Classic princess dolls were only $12.34. That was until the new movie Frozen came along in late 2013. The Frozen dolls were priced at $16.50. People would comment online that the price jump was probably do to how highly detailed these new Frozen dolls were. Shortly after in 2014 the Classic dolls jumped to $14.50 than a few months later they jumped up again to $16.50.
The once frequent $8 classic doll sale turned into 2 for $20.

If history repeats itself all Disney Store classic dolls will be priced at $19.99 within the next year or so. The 2 for $20 sale has already jumped to 2 for $22 at my local store. Mark my words, and feel free to take a screen shot of this post. A new $20 price point on all classic dolls will happen soon.

Oh btw, do the actual dolls have height differences? It looks like Wonder Woman and a few others are much taller in the cartoon but I've only picked up Harley and Batgirl so far who seem to be pretty similar.

So I was at my local comic book store and found that they are selling the DC Girls for about $40 a piece. I understand selling collectibles at 'market value' but literally every retail store that carries them has a near full stock of them right now around here.

Real question. Are these conservatively dressed teen super hero girls related in any way to any of those new Cartoon network shows that have come out very recently like Teen Titans or Ben Ten? I don't know much about Teen Titans or Ben Ten because I was already in my mid 20s when those shows started airing in the early 2000s. I did used to baby sit little kids who wanted to watch them. I wanted to get them into none shit shows like DuckTales or Chip and Dale, but they kept crying that they wanted to watch Ben Ten and Teen Titans so I would just put their shows on and leave the room.

I saw her in person a few years back. You press a red rose button on her chest, and flowers light up and start growing out of her dress. The only thing I found off putting about the doll was that the red rose button was forever molded onto her body.

Crap, this is the exact reason I'm scared to buy the new Disney Store 17" singing Belle doll. She has a dress that lights up, and spins around. People online say that her yellow dress is non-removable, but nobody explains the reason it's non-removable. I don't know if doll reviewers are lazy or if they don't want to showing doll nudity, but nobody has ever shown whats going on under her dress. All I know is that I would have to pay $50 to find out.

The bodice of the dress is removable, but not the skirt. The reason for this is because the skirt spins, so it's built into the doll.

It's only when you look at a beautiful doll like the one you posted that you realize how the quality of Mattel Disney dolls went down from the 90s to the moment before they lost the rights to Hasbro. When the Cinderella blu ray was released in 2012 Mattel released a fancy holiday doll which they wanted around $40 for. She had a crummy cheap plastic crown. Her hair was as basic as it could be. The dress was kinda fancy, but very cheap, and her gloves were molded on. I actually bought it, but the moment I unboxed her, and I noticed how cheap she felt in my hand I boxed her back up and returned her. Once removed from her box she lost 50% of her appeal. I found her fancy dress (which was the only nice thing about her) a few years later at a Goodwill, and put it on my Disney store Cinderella that I got when I bought the Deluxe Cinderella box that included Lady Tremaine, and the step sisters.
