Had Hero Factory stayed a couple of years more and Bionicle was announced this year, this shitfest wouldn't have happened. But maybe it's just me being too optimistic about Lego's appreciation to the non-licensed line that saved their asses.

Got a heavily scratched chrome Hau and I could see the colour underneath. Being curious and seeing how worthless the mask was in this condition, I got rid of almost all the chrome now. Comparison shot with the old grey shades and chrome.

Okay, there were a couple of ones I liked for the most part, but the internet-exclusive serials were one of the main reasons why I didn't mind G1 getting canned. So I want to get a Titan Scale MOUP. I'm undecided between these three:

BSF seems like a sensible choice but the rough surface bugs me.
I wouldn't have to paint BA, but is it worth that extra price?
I included FUD mostly because of the "showcases fine and intricate details" tidbit, but I'm most likely not getting that because the price seems pretty insane.

I'd like to paint as little as possible because I'm not that great at it and I fear I'd just ruin something I paid dear money for.

It mostly boiled down to the limitations of Greg's writing. Some fans complained that his female characters tend to fall into two basic stereotypes: gentle and caring or tough and murderous, and that the scene in question tried to disprove one stereotype by presenting the other. The problem is the polycarbonate that they use for those claws which isn't as bendable as their normal opaque plastics and therefore more prone to breaking.
Take a really close look and you'll probably see that the clips on them already start to show signs of wear and tiny cracks.

How was Nuju supposed to fight with his tools? Was he supposed to hook unto foes and throw them? Swing and impale them with multiple sharp points? Step on them repeatedly? His tools as well as most of the Metru tools were weird. They're too dark to shine through so they basically dropped them. Same for trans red and trans green.

I think trans medium and trans light blue are OK, the real problem is trans red. Lego really needs to come up with a transparent bright red color like they did for trans bright green. I'm sick of trans orange eyes being sold as "red eyes".

Unfortunally no. It has been in H2O2 for about 47 hours now and no results. Seeing how other people were able to remove the yellowing with hydrogen peroxide, the yellowing in THIS case might be a special layer of something that allows plastic to be chromed. I have no idea how to remove that tho. If I find a way to sand it off without visible scratches I will try it some time in the future.

I forgot about the self titled "JTO accurate" one (he removed that bit now Ken). Cyberhands's is definitely the superior one between the two at this point, isn't it? And I heard he's about to release an improved one soon too.

I'm not feeling confident about a new original CCBS theme after what happened with Bionicle. If it is a set driven theme rather than a story driven (like Throwbots) I think it would be a safer bet on Lego's part.

There are also rumors in the system general that the 'Action' Nexo sets aren't entirely CCBS. Though if they end up being like the IfB mechs it will be better than nothing.
