No to all, I do admit I never opened him, but I already had a fair idea of how things worked, my plan was to open display him in a safe environment...right now it would not be ideal (mp wheeljack and starscream are fine but painted and mostly clear plastic toys are kept in storage).

I honestly bought him because I liked soundwave, and this was the most comprehensive set I could get at the time, for only a little bit more I get him in solid colors and plastic with a little diecast tape to mess with.

Any known qc issues with tr blaster?

I was initially going with the takara version (since I prefer that dark grey over the glitterly pale grey hasbro used) but noy only can I get him much cheaper but its quite clear hasbro designed him (g1 toy visor) and takara only redeco'd him, so far not one image without the helment to perhaps save him (even an all white face with a silver top on just the head won't save it).

But I still would like to know if here is any wide spread qc issues, I can tolerate the glitterly legs but anything major and its back to takara I go.

...also on that note, anyone here own the hasbro leader power master optimus prime with the intent of getting super ginrai as well?

There is a sale happening where I am and debating on getting 2 drastically different molds

Blaster is one of the few TR molds that have 0 QC issues. Hardhead has several cases of a floppy head port, Skull obviously has his floppy legs, and Scourge has the floppy headport too. Blaster has (despite me not liking the figure) recieved unanimous praise. If you really want it, go for it

In the end, for me, Wolfwire is the legit best deluxe figure for wave 2.
But then again all of the wave 2 deluxe figures are great, maybe except Chromedome, but that's just me being heterosexual I guess.

For whatever reason I happened to watch a video (from a certain austimo I'd rather not name) of the reprolabel upgrade kit for mp hot rod, and it got me thinking: is there any place you would be able to get clear rubberized tape that you could use to rap around plastic wheels or apply underneath plastic feet to make them grip onto surfaces better?

Something like 2mm tape, only just a clear rubber strip instead of ungodly sticky black goo.

A bigass roll of something like that would be so useful for improving wheel grip and pose stability of my transformers.

If the plastic is already clean overall but you want to decal surfaces pristine, I just wipe it with a cotton ball that's very slightly soaked in rubbing alcohol and let it dry. Only a very tiny amount of rubbing alcohol should get on the plastic though, if the quantity of rubbing alcohol on the area you're cleaning takes longer than like 5 seconds to evaporate then I rub it off. This sucks but what's fucked about this is that all the promotional images from takara that I see on the instructions and box that show him in his gun form form all use smaller, customized decals that fit as intended without covering anything they shouldn't, so they knew this was a problem.
I can't get a good enough picture of the pictures on the box or find any on the internet but you can kind of see the same custom decals in this image. The ones that come with Shockwave are rounded but the ones here (and on the box) are squared and smaller.

I don't like the look of the braid so I was thinking I could take it apart and replace it with a black wire that would look more solid and sturdy.
I can split it with a spudger most of the way but the grey "muzzle" will not come apart whatsoever and I think they might have used a solvent to glue it into one piece.
