Plenty of figmas conceal their torso joints by making the shirt one big rubber piece that conceals the bigass seam for the waist/diaphragm, and this one looks to be the same. Like as far as pure metal robot porn goes, its great, but he doesn't have that many accessories, and there's some unfortunate aspects like having screwholes all over its back. For various reasons, I've been thinking about adding a secondhand Figma Miku to my collection. What's the best version for the price/quality?

I can get a 1.0 Miku with a missing faceplate for $30 or an very incomplete Append for $25. I also kinda like the racing Miku version, but I can't get her for less than $40.

I actually hate my Miku 2.0. She has a slit down her back so she hunches forward. Makes her sit well but she never stands up straight and it bugs the hell out of me. I also can't stand changing her hands and mine happens to be really loose on her stand so she falls down at the slightest touch.

Well, I lost a cheap racing Miku to a sniper by $1 on an eBay auction. I found that the $25 Append Miku came with nothing but a stand. And when I questioned the seller, the message was highly suggestive that it was a used bootleg all along, so...

Anyway, I did my research & some more searching and I finally made a commitment. I picked up a Cheerful Japan Miku for $40. She's new & authentic from a personal seller here in the US. I could have gotten her $4 cheaper from a Japan seller, but I'll get her quicker and I prefer to deal with private sellers in country for a myriad of reasons.

Several of you said to go with 2.0. I thought about it, but I didn't like the super fragile wings & twin tails. I actually prefer the look of the older style tails. Cheerful Miku is a nice middle ground between the old 014 Miku and 2.0 with some extra accessories to the former and slightly cheaper to the latter.

I'm not a big Figma collector. The last one I bought was KLK Satsuki from last year. But damned if I haven't worked hard & dealt with some troubles the past few weeks. I just want something that's cheerful I can look at, ya knoe?

No idea about Killua specifically, but the best way to identify this sort of thing is to track down a picture of the figure's back. For the most part, if the back has a seam like what you see here, it means that it uses the "big seam and hollow rubber shirt" trick. The chunk of her back above the seam is solid plastic, and below it (underneath the shirt) is pretty much empty space to give the joint range.
