Let's get the one accessory that shows the most personality and exemplifies the character best and make it exclusive! Fuck you. They've been pulling this shit for a while now and i'm not going to put up with it. It was one thing when bonuses were "bonuses" in the sense you didn't HAVE to have them. Now they are taking integral accessories and holding them hostage.

Asuna being robbed of her smiling face was already ridiculous, then Yuuki got made into a pure exclusive altogether. The alternate hair for Kirito wasn't too annoying but still obnoxious. If this grinning face is a web shop exclusive I will stop buying these figures altogether unless they are on DEEP discount.

My issue with GSC is that they generally pack in a bunch of face plates that are rather generic. Look at the Hunter x Hunter releases like Killua who didn't even get his serious assassination face but they included the hands that would be used with that face. Gon was terrible too and had basically no face plates that truly conveyed his goofy fun loving character. So many face plates are wasted on generic neutral smiles most people won't even use. Yelling faces range from amazing to so-so, in Leafa's case it's about average. Her embarrassed face shows a lot of character and the neutral face is boring as ever.

Then you have figma they seem to care more about like Ryuko or Satsuki where all of their face plates are amazing representations of the character and convey the characters perfectly. Granted Sword Art Online is sorta generic in style but i'd rather they just remove the neutral vague smile and replace it with the grin/smirk and have 3 face plates. Then make the exclusive bonus something else that doesn't matter as much.

I empathize with GSC's need to increase profit margins but I think it's pretty ridiculous that they are holding back really good accessories to do it. They have to know that overseas and even local customers now have to basically pay an extra $20+ just to get a single accessory which is going to rub a lot of people the wrong way. Personally I am angry that Yuuki was an exclusive and I missed the pre-order window because I had too much other stuff ordered at the time. With prices going up and struggling to even justify buying toys these kind of decisions make it easy for me to just avoid buying certain lines or sub-lines altogether. Both Bandai and GSC are losing a lot of my business because I am realizing I won't be able to have a complete display without spending a fortune.

I have said it before, that I understand that GSC/MF want higher profit margins from their sales of figures,but they have become greedy.
If the bonus were to be some effect part or a tea table, or a special base, that's something that most of us can easy pass as these bonuses are 'little extras' for the people that want to have these extra accessories that it isn't essential for the character, and those are bonuses that we can try to make some kind of custom.
But it really piss me off, when they make a face part as a exclusive, as these parts are harder to pass or try to make a custom as a substitute.
This is a coercing jewtactic from MaxFaggotry actually, if you check the online bonuces from the nendos that GSC announces, there isn't a single nendo that have a face part made into a exclusive online bonus (I can't remember if there is one, from the top of my head)

Windranger is pretty fun. I really like how she's got a ton of layered parts instead of just sculpting out details. I sort of wish the bow didn't have a hand molded into it though, that seems like a weird choice.
