Bricks On The Euro.

I don't even like to order from Germany that because the shipping is very high in general. [toyspoiler]In my experience, the stores from Netherlands are most based, both in inventory and shipping prices[/toyspoiler]

Quite the contrary imo.
I have a taste for rare and weird parts but hardly order those from here, they are also often more expensive per part than in let's say germany.

Apparently there's a pretty big and dedicated adult community for Lego here though. But i never went to a LUG.

I'm from amsterdam and fear venturing out to the distant lands of Zwolle.
>>

It all evens out, because the minimum shipping from most German stores is 5 euros or more.

Not insulting your building abilities. Just the overall uninspired/pop vinyl design of these feels terribly uninspired. And they seem to be aimed at adult collectors which makes it even more disappointing.

Hello, I have questions regarding the August superhero sets.

1. Is the plastic of lesser quality than is to be expected from Lego? I have heard rumors, you know.
2. I was really only thinking about buying the Tanker Truck Takedown, but it's not yet in stores where I live. It will arrive, but I don't know when. Would it be quicker to just order it directly from Lego?
3. Ordering just one set of that size will not grant me free shipping, but buying both it and the Sanctum Sanctorium will. Is it worth it?
4. Should I decide until after I have seen the Dr. Strange movie with ordering/opening the Sanctum Sanctorium?

>>
>>5847555
These things whole existence literally begins and ends with "We at lego are shamelessly cashing-in and piggybacking on the popularity of pop! figures."

Still, it's just lego. Worst case scenario we get some useful new pieces/color variations out of the line of figures. Best case scenario, one or two of them might actually be something better than mediocre. But that's unlikely.

>>5847584
It looks like the exact same thing, but the head's been turned 45 degrees.
>>
>>5847595
The only reason I buy Lego instead of other brands is the quality in plastic. Without that... I guess I'll start buying Chinese bootlegs and Megabloks.

how would you rate the Sith infiltrator overall, minifigs and all? I really want it but it's 90 bucks and Idk
>>
>>5847767
I got it on sale for about 77 bucks total during the May the 4th sale, and it also came with a poster and First Order Stormtrooper minifig.

The ship itself is pretty damn good, but I'd highly recommend getting a discount on it if you can, as 90 dollars is a bit steep. The build is satisfying and challenging at times, so you really have to pay attention, but when it's done it really feels like a big set that's worth the money. It has some play features if you're into that, but even without them it's still the absolute best rendition of the Sith Infiltrator to date. I often find myself picking it up and just flying it around because it's so damn fun.

The minifigs are great. Qui-Gon with his poncho and Maul would have been enough, but you also get Anakin and Watto (Who was only available in the 2012 podracing set I believe). Maul's face looks kind of goofy though, but I personally don't mind.

It also comes with a brick separator. Overall, it's a pretty good deal, but like I said I highly recommend getting it at a discount.
>>
>>5847215
Eclipsegrafx sucks compared to Citizen Brick. Most of Eclipsegrafx stuff is printed using a shitty UV printer and the ink dries in a raised texture on the surface. Citizen Brick uses the same press and ink that Lego uses for a much cleaner more seamless look. Plus Eclipsegrafx keep stealing ideas from Citizen Brick and doing them in a shittier design.

The message of the movie was that you're supposed to play with Lego rather than hoard it. It had little, if anything, to do with age.

Interesting piece but still not as useful due to the bar being parallel with the stud instead of perpendicular like the MB part. Maybe useful where you can't fit a 1x2 plate with bar and somehow can't just swap the position of the bar and clip?

The kid who sold it to me was 15-16, and the most recent pieces are Agents stuff from 2009-2011, probably the last stuff he got before his dark age. There are also some first-gen Star Wars pieces from the late 90s-early 2ks, some late 80-early 90s stuff that I recognize from my own childhood, and some pieces that are a lot older, like this late-sixties 3x2 train coupler.

engine is a bit too tall for the room. I put some stuff behind a grate so it looks like there is more stuff working in tandem with it

I'll probably cut back on the height a little, got plenty of room for a control panel.

it can spin, but I dunno if I really want it to, makes it take up more room than it should since it's got those knob things on top.

kinda weak though, since it's just the lightsabers holding up the top half.

I might see if I can turn it sideways and connect it to the walls.

I just checked
> heads got approved after a week
> pants still waiting after 2 weeks

At first I thought I fucked up the naming of the heads since there were no real guidelines for describing faces so I cross-referenced the naming with other heads while inventoring but apparently nothing of that was changed.
And I still don't know what could be wrong with the pants except maybe some words missing Capital letters.

Should I feel ashamed for going back to lego after becoming an adult? I had so many lego sets as a kid and played with them all the time.

Last year on my bday I got some beer and an AT-AT just because, fuck it, I can afford it now. Soon after I got the TIE Advanced prototype...Excellent build.

Next thing I know I get the complete set of sets 4484-4487...not just one of each but two, so I could build all of them and keep a complete whole set new in box.

A few months later I bought the Legho Creator Lighthouse to put by the window at work because it just looks so dope. I watch JangBricks all the time and will probably get another Star Wars set when they announce thre stealth Tie Fighter coming out this fall/winter.

Should I feel like a creep?

Cool. Well I can't recommend the tie advanced prototype enough.

The AT-AT was awesome as a first build in 10+ years, but it did feel a little samey with the legs.

When I built the Tie Adv. prototype I was like holy shit this is what Lego is like now? I remember building the clunky Y wing and Tie advanced first versions with my brother when we were younger. Fun at the time, but they don't hold up. And that original X wing...When it came out I lost my shit as an 8 year old, but compared to the T-70 out now it doesn't hold a candle design-wise

Just found out this Rebel pilot polybag exists. I have always loved this helmet style. Hopefully, LEGO will release a Return of the Jedi Y-Wing and a couple of pilots with them.

>how does aliexpress work, what's the best way to handle payment? The sellers I'm looking at don't take paypal and I'm not too eager to give them my credit card.
You pay Aliexpress, they hold the payment until you confirm that you received the goods. After you confirm, the seller gets paid.

Before you ask, yes, if you say that enough orders didn't arrive, they will probably blacklist you.

I suppose I grew too demanding as a child. Now I seek to patch up old wounds, to try to fix what I had destroyed.

Why does Lego color code the axles when they can't stay consitant themselves? I thought that black 2-longs were phased out in 2006 or so and yet they're still used every so often.

And I fucking hate the new red and yellow axles. Black for evens and bley for odds worked just fine

"You will see a feminine Gordon (wife or daughter?)
Don't remember the hair color, but all minifigs (I my opinion) were just great.
There will be a batcave, there will be a bat-vehicle that looks like a bat an some small sets.
The bigger sets all had 4-8 minifigs, and all great."

They haven't had a pizza van since the 80's or 90's, have they? Hopefully the pizza will be the classic printed pizza tiles and not FUCKING STICKERS.

Street Sweeper sounds interesting too if it's anything like the Unimog snowplow from a few years back. Odd that they only have police/fire/Great Vehicles listed there; no other City sub-theme like 2015's demolition and Swamp Police, or 2016's airplanes and volcano explorers.

SW is the reason they barely make any space themes nowadays, because why would a kid buy a LEGO set of something he's never heard before when he can ask for that "cool set with Darth Vader"?

The only theme that could stand a chance with SW is a Classic Space/Blacktron reboot.

Might wanna take these one with a grain of salt.

NEW Arkham Asylum set:
- At least $100.
- Around the size of the previous Arkham Asylum.
- Minifigures include Batman, Barbara Gordon, Aaron Cash, 2 Arkham Guards, Harleen Quinzel. Then all figures in Arkham jumpsuits are the Joker, Two-Face, the Riddler, and three unnamed villains.

NEW Batcave set:
- Features an area where Batman's suits are hanging.
- Suits hanging are the Disco suit and the Diving suit.
- Also features a walkway leading to the Bat-Computer, which is shaped as the Bat-symbol.
- Alfred is being seen jumping into action trying to escape from Penguin minions (which are the new CMF series 16 penguins). The Penguin minions have an attachment on their back so they can hold accessories.
- At the bottom is the Batboat and Penguin's brick-built duck.

Miscellaneous News:
- Mr. Freeze figure is in an exo-suit in a small set featuring him, Batman, and a hostage.
- Lots of vehicles included in these sets, mostly for the villains.
- Other minifigures to be featuring in these sets are Tarantula, Zebra Man, Kite Man, and Calendar Man.
