"You will see a feminine Gordon (wife or daughter?)
Don't remember the hair color, but all minifigs (I my opinion) were just great.
There will be a batcave, there will be a bat-vehicle that looks like a bat an some small sets.

Other 2017 leaks

C4MSci (whatever his name is) just confirmed on EB that Cars 3 and Sports sets will come in the summer.

Iron Man v Detroit Steel set will have Coulson and Lola.

Might wanna take these one with a grain of salt.

NEW Arkham Asylum set:
- At least $100.
- Around the size of the previous Arkham Asylum.
- Minifigures include Batman, Barbara Gordon, Aaron Cash, 2 Arkham Guards, Harleen Quinzel. Then all figures in Arkham jumpsuits are the Joker, Two-Face, the Riddler, and three unnamed villains.

NEW Batcave set:
- Features an area where Batman's suits are hanging.
- Suits hanging are the Disco suit and the Diving suit.
- Also features a walkway leading to the Bat-Computer, which is shaped as the Bat-symbol.
- Alfred is being seen jumping into action trying to escape from Penguin minions (which are the new CMF series 16 penguins). The Penguin minions have an attachment on their back so they can hold accessories.
- At the bottom is the Batboat and Penguin's brick-built duck.

Miscellaneous News:
- Mr. Freeze figure is in an exo-suit in a small set featuring him, Batman, and a hostage.
- Lots of vehicles included in these sets, mostly for the villains.
- Other minifigures to be featuring in these sets are Tarantula, Zebra Man, Kite Man, and Calendar Man.

Told you you would change it!
I agree i like the new torso better than the old one.

Oh i totally forgot.
On the way home i stopped by Köln. Somehow they had a fucking Lego store there. I thought those were only in burger and Denmark. They had so much stuff it was maddening. Kids everywhere. They didn't have anything in the pick a brick except for maybe dark bley 2x4 bricks, but i figured it wouldn't be really cost effective to put those in one of those cups since they are relatively big. It wouldn't come close to the 10cents per piece rule.
They did however have a load of cool stuff in the Build-a-minifig booth. I was the only adult browsing it among the kiddies and look like a bit of an autist so that was awkward. But i think i got a pretty good deal seeing how they had a bunch of older cmf and set exclusive parts that i had my eyes on for a while.
Including marylin monroes hair, the blue ultra agents girl hair and face. The divers helmet. The gramda face. Puking face from the fairground mixer. A chrome crown. the handaxe from the cmf lumberjack. Cmf librarian face, CMF popstar face. Cmf oldfag face. A cat that i didn't have in that colour. Two printed winebottles from the cmf waiter. A pie from the cmf clown. A newspaper from the cmf businessman. and some other stuff.

it's the 100th anniversary of the tank's debut in WWI.

Build a tonk or armored vehicle.
>>
>>5854872
The trick to this is as follows:
Because the sides of a minifigures torso are slanted in a trapezium shape, arms move outward if you pose them down and inwards if you move them up.
The arms facing the doors here >>5854261
are posed upwards so their hands can rest just in the corner of the windscreen.
>>
>>5854903
That doesn't answer my question for when you can see the minifig's arms are clearly in the down position.

>tfw love the 6x3x2 windshield instead of the 6x2x2 but the extra length means it's harder to use the 'just raise their arms' thing while keeping the same vehicle proportions

I just want to make a nice wagon, dammit.

Not him, or any other guy perviously in this conversation
The answer is jumper plates and tiles.
Use jumper plates for the seats and use tiles underneath the doors so that the minifigures can sit side by side in your six wide vehicle.

After my brother had his first son a few years ago I got him a $100 Lego castle set for his first birthday. My brother promised me I would be the one to help his son put it together once he was old enough to not try and put the bricks in his mouth. I am looking forward to that day and have an idea to help the playtime even more fun. I will help my nephew put together a Lego mini figure that represents him. The idea is like all those digital avatars you can make in things like the Nintendo Miis. So now little Aiden will not just be playing with Legos, there will be a Lego HIM exploring the castle, flying the X-Wing, or wearing the Ironman suit.

>Use jumper plates for the seats and use tiles underneath the doors
Even when using this technique, if you put the arms facing the door in a downwards pose, they will ever so slightly block the doors from closing in system.

cont.
Because I got that idea in my head I started looking around with more attention to what sets are out there and I have become fixated on Lego City. I am a long haul Truck Driver so I see lots of places and I suddenly fell in love with the idea of seeing those places as Lego. I mean I got my nephew the castle set because it was what I always wanted growing up but only ever got the little sets with a cart, horse, farmer, and thief. But now suddenly the idea of seeing the world we live in now as lego sets seems so enchanting. I keep looking for Semi legos too. And they need to be able to have a mini fig sit in it to complete the feel.

>>
>>5855494
She isn't really based on anything.
She's one of the first custom cyberpunky minifigs i made after i came out of my darkage. Wich according to the creation date of the earliest pics of her was somewhere before 2011.
I've made a ton of different minifigs the years after that from all the wacky parts i found, but eventually gathered a smaller group of main figs that are pretty much permanent residents in my cyperpunk citystreet. She is still probably one of my favourites of that group.

Honestly the impression I get every time someone shows off their backlog is the exact opposite. Did I fuck up, /lg/?
Last year, this set got me into LEGO. The build took me two weeks to complete. It was amazing.
But now I feel like it has essentially numbed me to all other sets, now. No other set can compare, the builds are all too short now. I'm still searching for a set that can match up to this, and haven't found one.
Was this the worst possible first LEGO set?
>>
>>5856993
I don't own anywhere near enough to justify a separate flag bin, and like I said I only have two in black.
>>
>>5857002
>Was this the worst possible first LEGO set?

It could be the best possible first Lego set.

Take one of the disappointing ones. Make it bigger, add details, change colors, put on more guns, whatever. That's a build that'll last you weeks. The end goal is whatever you think looks cool, that's up to the standards of that ugly flying shoe, and for bonus difficulty you don't get instructions. Enjoy!

It's not supposed to, but lots of minifig tools do now. You can blame that on Lego being fucking cheapskates with their modern plastic quality and molding.
>>
>>5856966
That's depressing as fuck. Never post again.
>>
>>5856966

anon, go back and buy that thing

The Dark Ages are defined as the period of losing interest in Lego usually between mid to late teens and a random age considered adult; this is where you are and you can rediscover it at any time you want.

Go back and buy that thing. Then go out and buy some new set, with lots of black pieces, so you can check out modern parts and building techniques, and start building a stock of parts with which to make that Blacktron II thing even better.

It's okay to be an adult and play with Legos, it really is.

It's not just quality, it's plastic cutting, too- all bricks are thinner now and lots of them are hollow, like minifig radios (which now have a HUGE HOLE in the back where the striping previously was). Even stuff that's unchanged, like minifig wrenches, had the casting mark moved so it's right in the fucking middle of the head for some reason, and ordinary bricks? Grab a few and I guarantee you'll very, very easily be able to see the exact same seams in the same spots on every one of them. Then compare the color and see how far apart that is, too.

Motherfuckers can't even make plain black parts anymore without half of them turning out a weird dark grey.

Oh man, it's that noticeable? That's super disappointing, I was thinking about picking up the Beetle for my dad's birthday present as a surprise.

It's not just the modified bricks, though- for an example, I picked four standard 1x1 white bricks out of a 3 in 1 Creator the other day and literally had four different shades of white, with one of them almost tan and one of them with a yellow tint to it. Not to mention how none of them fucking lined up straight when stacked vertically because the tolerances for the parts have gotten so loose the 0.1mm gap per side could be way more or less than that.

That's a really clever skirt, damn. The breakdown makes sense, but it'd probably be more intuitive if it were right-side up.

Related question; I'm trying to think of some absurdly huge System boobs; any suggestions for parts that'd help? I have some Nuva parts and CCBS parts, but I'd like to try something with bricks only as opposed to using technic/bonkle just yet.

I've been thinking about those sets and similar kinda-Technic dome parts, but they seem like they'd be tough to implement on a smaller MOC, unless we're talking obscures-your-entire-body tier huge.

It works surprisingly well because of how flexible the small towball joints are but yeah. I'm glad I eventually figured out the T-piece+male towball combo.

The sheer size of her chest kinda keeps it looking okay in poses like pic related, but obviously it'd fall apart were one to try and pose her reaching forward more casually.
Man, the more I look at her the more I realize I've changed, and the more I get pissed off at how clunky I built her. The knees, the torso, everything needs a redo. She must be half a year old by now.

I have a fucking zip-lock bag literally FULL of Lego SW minifigures. And I mean it's fucking LOADED.

>Shit-tons of Stormtroopers
>Original Episode II clones
>Original Episode III clones, different varieties
>Vader, Palpatine(Grey skin), Yoda, etc.
>Original Jango Fett(Different legs sadly)
And a bunch of others I'm having trouble remembering. I literally only cared about the minifigures because most of the sets were expensive as fuck but managed to amass an amazing collection nonetheless.

You mean to tell me I've been sitting on a gold mine? If Princess fucking Leia sells for 8 bucks surely I have to have someone worthwhile(Not that I'd be selling them but still)?

It's an absolutely wonderful set, but not something you'd start off with.

However, given your rather unique situation, I'd recommend you stick with the UCS line. There's a beautiful TIE and Sandcrawler out right now, with (another) Death Star on the way this year, and we're finally getting a new UCS Snowspeeder in 2017.
>>
>>5857002
You aren't even satisfied with other 100$ sets like the Star Destroyer, AT-AT etc.?
Your best bet seems to be UCS but those are also the most expensive models thanks to late-comers tax and if they need to be minifig scale or at least compatible it shrinks down the selection even further.

I do know that the Nederlandse handelsmaatschappij building in amsterdam (now the archive) we were talking about was initially also planned to have a similar roof to the building you posted. Personally, I feel that it would greatly enhance a set's play value and pose value.
>>
>>5858082

>>5858074
Isn't mine and was found by googling and apparently it gets even worse:
http://toysnbricks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=9358

However, I too had tons of bricks in recent times that cracked, especially one-stud wide ones, Technic connectors with safety holes and minifig legs (always at the same place: along that moulding swirl).
>>
>>5858094
I'd rather have the same minifigure design and have all future parts be interchangeable with old ones.
>>
>>5858094
minifigures don't need poseability.
>>
I have a bunch of Classic Space and Town sets from the 80s and early 90s. Those suffered from 1x1 round plates in transparent colors cracking, especially yellow, but it was a pretty rare thing. Now, happens all the time. 1x2 tiles, round and square, 1x1 bricks, the clips on flags, cheese wedges..
>>
>>5858094
dislike, I like the poseability they have for their size. Which is pretty amazing for a toy from 1978.

>basic bricks which are said to be almost indestructible start cracking left and right
>constraction parts which were once prone to cracking are the toughest shit out there now but the system is almost abandoned

But all the pictured figures aside from katana are designed after the movie, katana is the only one there you can get a legit version of.
>>
>>5858094
I think it's perfectly fine as it is, what we want is some good quality plastic again, I have some sets from the early 00's which have more durability and have had significantly more play than recent ones, with the former being built in walls or planes or robots, all battling and crashing, vs the latter, who have been mainly just displayed
we want ol' good lego plastic, resisting heavy wear for the kids, but also resisting the builds from AFOL without cracking

Not him, but the megablocks I have kicking around have a sort of 'softness' in their texture.
It's kinda difficult to explain, but if you're around lego a lot you can spot it.
>>
>>5858483
Generally speaking, Megablock bricks (at least compared to my other bricks) feel lighter and thinner than what they really should be. They were also quite... stained? Like they had a weird light-orangeish tinge around them. Taking apart a multicoloured wall from years and years ago, I could very easily tell a white LEGO-brand from a Megablock-brand brick. I haven't bought any Megablocks sets lately though, so maybe they've improved over the years.
