For what he is he does pretty damn good, his faults lie in jet-blast off (but that's subjective, you either like the better military fit or hate the fact its a lazy repaint of slingshot), brawl and his waist, and vortex being a repaint of alpha bravo, the grey chest is very much subjective.

The sad part with him is he has THE best qc out of the bruticai, g2 has the wrong faction symbols and onslaught has the same strust issues pyra magna has (plus a very much personal choice driven color scheme) while the UW had WORSE qc issues and has divided opinions in deco choices (vortex too dark, blast off wrong brown, bruticus chest ugly to some people etc).

I say get what looks best, I'm waiting on my g2 and a sale on the UW, my cw shall remain until they come

Turns out I was wrong about Galvy not balancing on his treads. I was so completely wrong.

What it needs is to be sitting on a solid, flat surface, not on the slope of a couch cushion with a blanket over it.

It actually balances beautifully, although the ratchet positions really don't want it to point straight forward. Easy enough to fix if you adjust the torso slices on the sides instead of the shoulders.

Well, as much as my love affair with Hardhead continues, I'd like to add to my list of grievances (along with his waif gun), this terrible, stupid, dumb cockpit tab. Someone needs to teach the designers at Hasbro how levers and fulcrums work. Try as I might, this little tab is absolutely useless to raise the canopy. It's actually easier to lift the thing by grabbing it literally ANYWHERE ELSE, besides the intended tab. Nice job, guys.

robots aren't humans. they are often made with the same general body shapes as humans in animu, but its important to remember when drawing them that their physical needs are much different from human bodily needs

A human body model as organs and shit like that. A robot body model has machinery, pistons, motors, vents, things of that nature. They all serve different purposes and have different needs in order to function properly.

If you're drawing sentient robots like transformers it gets a little more blurred as transformers have a weird psuedo organic thing going, but even they have things like transformation cogs and core motors, and alt mode kibble and shit like that that keeps them from looking like people in costumes

basically, a robot wouldn't have birthing hips and tiddies

I got Legends Galvatron today.

It's so close to being very good, but they had to ruin it at the last stretch by putting in the retarded headmaster gimmick that ruins his neck articulation and requires the ugly ass crown to actually look like Galvatron's head. It's frustrating. They literally made the toy worse by adding more parts.

Am I the only one who wishes the TM ports were like the box art, having the clamps extending from the figure, grabbing the head, then going back down and attaching itself to the body? It's not really a panic thing, it's more of a probability thing. If a cop sees someone holding something that looks like a gun, they have to wonder if it's a gun or not. This is an important thing people don't often consider. Hasbro makes the molds with their own deco plans in mind. Takara then is left to try their best to fit their desired deco onto the existing tooling.

While it doesn't excuse bad decos, it does give some insight into why Takara is often in a strange place.

I'm black (and American), and I have to agree that Black people probably won't collectively get their shit together for a few generations.

However, I think that a lot of it stems from a few factors that are sort of beyond our control. For instance, read Willie Lynch's "The Making of a Slave". A lot of that stuff still goes on today and has pretty much solidified the black communities fate as being bottom tier. I obviously won't get into a long discussion about the letters, but one key point that was stressed was the demoralization of the black male and the destruction of the black family. That's been going on since the slave era and still goes on today. Back in the slave days, there were buck breaking farms (where white men would rape black men infront of their women and children to show dominance), raping black women in front of their kids and husbands was also a thing, and since then, black men's value has been lost. As a result, black culture puts emphasis on strong black women (which is why our women are sometimes seen as unruly bitches with chips on their shoulders). This helped break up the family unit for a long time, even after slaves were freed. Then along came drugs (which was introduced to the black community by the government) which broke up the family even more. Arresting black men for petty crimes has also been a thing since the slaves were freed, which also broke up the family unit.

As a result, you have the (mostly) true stereotype of the absent black father. This absence fucks up black sons because they don't have role models, and it fucks up black daughters because they don't have dads and eventually become baby mammas themselves to perpetuate the cycle.

There are a lot of factors that I could go on and on about...but I won't bore you. Just know it's way more complicated than "it's their own fault". That's like blaming a girl who's been molested and verbally abused when she becomes a stripper.

Of all things for this thread to become I didn't expect it to be a discussion of systemic racism.

I suggested reading The Making of a Slave in my earlier post, but you probably won't even get a good grasp of how it applies today unless you're black. As a black man having grown up in the black community, basically everything in that letter has been taking place my entire life. I was lucky enough to have a stable family with a great dad who's my best friend and is still married to my mom. But my mom came from a fucked up family and always had that "Niggas ain't shit, I don't need no man" mentality...which is odd because she apparently loved my dad who was the bread winner. I also make it a point to be as active as possible in my daughters' lives and show them what a good father is supposed to be. My first thought was aboriginals in Australia, only reason why they don't follow the black lives matter movement is they're all stuck in one state going backwards in terms of advancements, getting high off paint fumes and generally doing what the...um Darker skinned americans are stereotypically known for, very few get anywhere unless its within their community or within Aussie rules football, I knew an Aboriginal who was very promising compared to the rest of our class both academically and athletically, second his parents went back to that state he came back years later...with and under aged girlfriend heavily pregnant, he also regressed into a potato physically and his speech went from clear to "ARH HERYA GOIN MOITE".

I'll never fully understand what its like to be a minority as I'm a mixed race, primarily white Australian from an average family and Filipino who, while coming from a third world country they managed to get their kids abroad and doing other better things, my mother included, and even then my mother tells me the natives before the Spanish taken over are only doing slightly better than the aboriginals but then again she thought it snowed in regional areas of Australian.

So, yeah, that's why I assumed it may apply to other minorities, specifically ones that had settlers from another land who enslaved the original populous and or brought slave labor (I apparently have Apache blood from my pino side, go figure)

I'll admit, I don't know much about other cultures...so forgive my ignorance on that matter.

I just can't think of another culture that's been enslaved, tortured, divided, sold, raped, stripped of its identity, systematically persecuted, culturally destroyed, and essentially built a country without seeing a penny of reparations.

Only race I can think of that MAY have had it worse are the Native Americans.

The Chinese, Irish, Jews, and Japanese all have countries and cultures they can fall back on for support (in addition to having never gone through some of the horrors of 245 years of having your culture, women, and men raped/tortured).

Black America has...what, Africa? Africans have an extremely negative image of us due to their media brainwashing and the fact the fact that we have no cultural ties to them anymore. And African Americans have a REALLY bad image of Africa as a whole because of the mainstream media here in America. We also have a shitty sense of community due to the whole Willie Lynch bullshit, buck breaking, Jim Crow laws, and other means of fuckery. Not to mention the huge disparity of wealth that we've never been able to accumulate because of racism and the fact that we've essentially had to start from ground zero despite the fact that america was made on the backs of slaves.

But yea...like I said, I don't have in depth knowledge of Chinese, Irish, Jewish, or Japanese hardships. Care to enlighten me on their burdens?

You're probably right, as I don't know much about that era. I do know that the slavery that existed back then was A LOT different from the slavery that existed in America for Black people. Slaves weren't treated nearly as harshly, they weren't mentally and physically broken, they were able to buy their freedom and once free, actually have the ability to become a productive citizen and raise a family without fear. Also, slavery didn't negatively affect the entire culture of that group of people. It was a fucked up thing that happened, but you were always able to escape it and make a life for yourself with hard work and patience.

Slavery in America was WAY different. There was no way out, and even if by some miracle you had a "good" slave master who let you buy your freedom, you still ran the risk of being straight up killed for being out past curfew or just walking down the wrong road.

I have no idea if Walgreens themselves sell online (not American), but I imagine other online stores will get some stock of them, but if they're getting them "second-hand" from Walgreens, they might be marked up a bit.

In the end, non-US sellers might be the way to go as I imagine Hasbro will still release it someone in territories without Walgreens.
