So after abstaining from pretty much the entirety of Combiner Wars, I've been popping into retail stores to try and find a Wheelie to go with MP Roddy. My local retail always fucking sucks. I never find anything, but there, at my local TRU, just hanging on the end of the pegs stocked with RiD and CW, as though it were a relic of a lost age, was a single Hardhead. Nothing else from TR at all. I so rarely see current waves at my local stores that I decided to just fucking buy him. He looked like a definite step up in quality from the CW stuff I've been ignoring for years.

I'm quite pleased with him, even though deluxes have gotten pricey, he's still cheap as fuck compared to the MPs I've been buying, and quite fun. Great paint apps and a simple, satisfying transformation. It was the silver-trimmed Autobot tampographs on his shoulders that won me over.

I remember being irked at how small deluxes had gotten over the past few years, but now with the embiggening of the Legends class, it kind of makes sense. Before, the two classes were far enough apart in size that they felt like two different toylines. Now they feel like they interact together wonderfully as larger/smaller bots.

I think Bee looks okay. At least as good as the last Legends version. Possibly better. Only thing I don't like are the rear windows on his biceps. Look like they'll get in the way, but considering his articulation looks better than the last Bee's at pretty much every other point, I think I can deal.

That said, there are plenty of other bots they could have made into titan master taxis. Do we really need another Bee so soon? No Outback/Brawn? Or how about poor Seaspray? Or giving Warpath another go?

I dont think I would buy a Windblade. First, I would not be able to write fanfic for her because she already has multiple official incarnations that people accept.

Second, I have no idea which of her 3+ incarnations is THE Windblade. This is a problem, and to describe how, I will use Optimus Prime as an example. Optimus Prime from the G1 cartoon is THE Optimus Prime. Animated Optimus Prime is not. If I didn't know that, it could lead to me buying Animated Optimus Prime to be my Optimus Prime, which would be terrible.

Third, no matter which incarnation is THE Windblade, I question whether I like any of them enough to warrant buying her. I don't read comics, Machinima Windblade is a big mystery, and while RID15 Windblade's first episode was great, since then she has been just another shitty character in a shitty show.

I ain't totally closed on getting a Windblade one day, but as you can see I would need to clarify a few things first.

Anyone pulled apart a titan master before?

I'm seriously considering modifying my voyager galvatron so the face doesn't sit so far back, but I stumbled onto problems, I thought I could just take off the face, paint, glue onto faceplate and done but seems the crown prevents the face from sitting flush, what I plan to do is LEAVE the springload gimmick intact (too many screws and I'm more comfortable sanding shit than cutting) and just have half the face spring up with the crown.

So how do I go about sanding the back of the crown, my usual gunpla technique (Popsicle stick/rubber with sandpaper) ain't gonna fit, what else can I use to sand/chip away at the back of the crown?

I ended up buying the hasbro version today as the few extra paint apps just don't cut it when we have the glorious darker purple, but the one thing that helps the takara release is the silver paint on the titanmaster face.

Even if I don't paint "nucleon" himself painting the main body face silver like pic related will really help, and since its just that one screw holding it in its quite easy.

You're in for a treat, they're both great figures. Forewarning though, I had some small tolerance issues with my figures. One of HH's wrists was too tight and the plastic warped a bit using the swivel, and SC's croc-neck had one tab a bit too thick at the end to fit into his shoulder, so I suggest keeping a small file to hand when they arrive to smooth out any issues.

It barely leaves any residue, unlike glue, and you don't have to babysit it to prevent your joints from fusing. Glue is necessary when you have a balljoint that needs to be built up due to it being way too small, but for anything else there's no fucking reason not to use Pledge.
