Alright guys, I've got a dilemma. I've recently been wrapping up a Minifig display case and I've got 3 slots open. I primarily want to fill them with characters with Lego Racers, but I can't decide who. Who would be worth getting? I've already got Gypsy Moth displayed with my Insectiods and I may just fill one of the slots with the chief from Ice Planet. So wha 2 (or 3) characters are worth getting?

On the pro side, it actually does things with all the necessary space, on the con it's mostly for the flip out STAP gimmick...
Again on the pro side, the sliding track seconds are the exact width of the first Platoon Attack Craft, and can be easily used to up the droid storage a bit.

You could go for a jumper plate with TKH/ieyasu hands. The hand is a 1x1 brick with side studs, with 1x1 tooth plates to act as the thumb and fingers. It works and looks good, and depending on the 1x1 brick used it can hold stuff too.

I've been designing a massive Arkham Asylum. It's currently at around 5500 pieces, has 24 standard cells, 5 special cells, an evidence room, lobby, medical room, interrogation room, security office, warden's office and a working elevator. You can open it up horizontally like in pic and also you can take the levels off one by one. I'm saving up to buy it because when I did price gauging on BrickLink it's about $2000. Any suggestions on what to add or something like that? I can post more pictures if you want.

My local store got a bunch of new girl lego sets. They got the elves dark magic castle, white and pink dragons. They also got in Rapunzel's best day ever, Beauty and the beast castle, and a few of the amusment park friends sets, and I think a dog park. Personally, I think the dark castle looks great. Are any of the others worth looking at? I don't think they are avalible many places in the US yet.

2x2 is what Lego uses a lot, but they stick fucking mudguards over everything so of course that works out nicely. You can still put a mudguard over a 1x4 axle, but then you've got to use jumpers on either the axle (which defeats the whole point of using the 1-wide setup!) or the top of the mudguard (which might be one plate too high for the design you want, and won't fit nice with the non-jumpered plates on the sides).

Pretty much just put "custom minifigures" into google and youll get a good starting point. I got the "real" gwen figure off ebay, but saw it on several UK based sites, very low numbers available though and that was a few months ago. Expect to pay quite a bit for the "real" ones, where as the chink versions go for less than a dollar with slight differences in printing and also possibly quality (my deadpool figures kneepad is off center.)

Not true. The arms and legs came from one of those generic "TEN TRANS-WHATEVER MINIFIG BLANKS" sales on ali. They are pretty loose in the torsos. Not quite that bad. It's an Admiral Piett figure of which they've apparently have 7. But don't have any other figures from the Super Star Destroyer set Piett came in. In fact all their minifigs seem to be from a random selection of sets, so I'm not sure if they're bootleg or if the seller just buys them on the cheap to sell at a slight mark up.

Also, he's selling it for about US$20, which is about US$20 cheaper then the next cheapest one (not including the US$29 one that's part of a US$17k superlot).

If a piece has obvious chew marks, decal damage, and is covered in grime that shouldn't count as just 'used' should it? I spent 71 british pennies on this helmet and it's really a mess. Thing is I got another one in the same order and it was fine. But this chewed one is basically unusable. It wasn't even like there were comments saying "slightly chewed" etc.

Great set. Coincidentally my girlfriend bought that same set for me last year on my birthday. Comes with two sets of instruction books. When it comes to building it both of you can work on a separate building at the same time whilst helping each other find pieces in the pile.

Sounds like it. Unless you're really freaky and obsessive or have a closet stuffed full of bricks or something, I doubt she'll mind much. Legos are probably one of the most socially acceptable toys for "normal" people. Keep yourself in check and don't be weird about it, and she'll probably be cool once you admit how into Lego you actually are.

I'm okay with wear and tear on minifigs, helmets and certain accessories, it gives them character. But bite marks are a completely different mess.

I find building together with my wife way more satisfying than watching a movie or eating a dinner. When we build together we alternate each step - one looks for pieces, the other places them.

With 31026 you can also each build one building, just watch out so it won't be a race (which you would easily win and make your gf unhappy).
