Get Fucking Hyped

Why are you making a new thread for news that's from February when we have a general thread and TFcon is going on so there's tons of actually new news today?
>>5795186
Haven't you got enough of these threads open?
>>5796854
You mean one thread. Third party goes into its own general.
>>5796872
my bad. you guys are fine. I only have gripes with /tfg/.
>Error: You cannot delete a post this old.
>>5796854
tbf, five of those threads will disappear when someone makes a new thread
also, was this posted last thread? would kill for an Iron Factory version, I think my full sized transformers days are behind me
>>5796941
This was posted in the last thread.
I would inb4 MUH GREEBLES but someone already did.
I think it looks nice but no spoiler ruins it. Hope that's just a pre-production thing.
>>5796941
>>5796943
You think people would be used to greebles by now instead of bitch, bitch, bitching all the fucking time!
It's in the comics, it's in the official figures, it's every fucking where so get the fuck over it already! If you want plain surfaces go jack off all over your G1 statueshit.

>>5796953
There's such a thing as too much and I don't think anyone liked Figueroa's art style anyways. Everyone is currently pining for MTMTE and RID style bots, that are detailed but not overdone. Hence why the new TFC stuff and IF are doing so well, they toned it the fuck back.
Even MMC's DJD look perfect because they haven't been greebled to fuck and back, covered in non-essential detail. Does nothing but make a lack of paint more apparent and make it impossible to put reprolabels for the faction icons on.
>>5796953
But those greebles don't look bad, see all those relatively smooth surfaces overlaid on technical detail? Compare that to the sharp extrusions on the legs in the figure posted above.
To be honest, it's not too bad, more so just the overall style that doesn't really do much for me. Floro Dery's greebles are more my thing. That man is a master of miscellaneous surface detail.
>>5796943
Someone commented that the bow could possibly be the spoiler
>>5797053
Thats really shit though, the bow is too thin and looks nothing like a spoiler.
Seems to be a whole lot of Prime now. Not sure which kit to pick up if any.
And here is the SND kit.
>>5796941
Mmmmmm
I really want to like this because I really want a mtmte Rodimus, but I just...don't. I don't like his chest much at all and there are just too many parallel lines. I don't even mind greebles if they're like mech details, but all the line shit like on Hexatron just kills me.
>>5797219
I think its that his chest is too big and bulky for the rest of his body.
>>5796941
Looks like shit. All MMC reformatted stuff aside from the DJD and Overlord is suffering from their remold obsession.
>>5797339
This. It's really depressing too because we've seen with the DJD that MMC CAN do great figures when they aren't being cheap fucks.
Just got off work. Anything new revealed today?
>>5797400
Just MMC Hot Messimus
This year was a bummer for prototypes. Toyworld embarrassed themselves and Fansproject was a no show.
>>5797493
I think FP are going to slowly fade away. Damn shame to see the pioneer of 3rd party die like this.
>>5797493
Toyworld flopped except for Arcee. I think that will actually be good once we see a colored one. The new king of design looks like it might end up being Maketoys.
>>5797508
Their headmasters were mostly a joke and their dinobots had serious QC issues and their Zone toys are just repaints of pre-existing stuff. The only major recent project was their Trianix Alpha.
>>5796941
Does Not rod look like a remold of this guy to anyone else?
>>5797810
This guy too. All three look kinda similar
>>5797810
He has a very similar chest plate; that was one of the first things i thought. And I hate how it looks on both of them a lot.
>>5797737
which hasn't even been released yet.
>>5797824
Were these guys not shown more at TFCon?
I hope this bootleg kicks Planet X into making a WFC prime figure. I could give two shits about the FOC prime look.(Not bad just the WFC version was more bad ass.)
>>5797839
If the bootleg is good, and it has the same complexity as the original Hasbro toy, it easily has the complexity to make a good voyager size toy.
Any news on where/when we can order the Feral Queen set? There's been barely any news about her that I've seen.
>>5797897
Con just wrapped up today and it's a Sunday. Probably news tomorrow.
>>5797897
Was it confirmed as being for sale at retail? I was under the impression that it was an exclusive? If so, then that's awesome.
>>5797940
I've read it'll be available online after the con. Nobody has said where/when/how much. They were $100 CAD, I believe.
I haven't seen anything if they were sold out or how they are.
BBTS has had the con exclusives before, as did PSX. TFSource has the Nero Rex exclusive and the Cynicus too. So I imagine those stores will get it.
Also, if anyone is debating on Seraphicus Prominion, he's $45 off at TFsource right now as part of the con weekend sale.
So sick of waiting for the ashura knight's set. I finally had a good enough month to be able to splurge on it and they keep yanking back the release!
>>5796941
I get that a lot of people aren't feeling this one, but for me the only issue is the spoiler, and I'm really hoping that it gets fixed up, I think it'll probably end up being the bow but I hope not.
But aside from the spoiler I am so fucking stoked. The 1986 movie was my first experience with transformers and I always loved Hot Rod, and especially his MTMTE design, been waiting on this toy for ages
>>5797992
If it's any consolation, the MMC facebook page has a pic of him up and right under in big text it says 'prototype not final' or something so I think he'll be reworked some more before release. Maybe the bow-spoiler will be dropped.
>>5797999
I think the bow idea is pretty neat, but maybe if it clipped onto the bottom of the spoiler instead of being the whole thing, that way if you did want to use the bow as a weapon it wouldn't ruin his profile, but keeping it on would add some little spikes or something
>>5798001
My only problem with the bow being the spoiler is that the bow looks too different from his spoiler, that bow is really thin and has all those strange greebles on it -that would look awful on his back.
>>5798057
I agree, the bow being the entirety of the spoiler would look bad, but I think as an option clip on to the spoiler it could work, I really hope that gets added on
even if it doesn't I'm buying this though, I don't see another company making a better version of this Hot Rod anytime soon
>>5796953
I'm stunned i haven't seen folks whining about the comics being shit or whatnot because gay robots.
Pic of TFC Poseidon's combined form.
>>5798313
This isn't even my final form!
>>5798313
>tiny head
what is it with the TF aesthetic that insists they all look like the shrunken head guy from Beetlejuice?
>>5797839
This looks like it'd make for good SG Prime. Neither of the other 2 official SG Primes look like they'd pose a challenege for SG Megatron.
When is this being released and for how much? I may pick him up for my SG display.
>>5798325
It's even worse from the side. It's basically flat.
>>5798313
my fucking wallet
Fanstoys not skyfire just got listed at the usual places. It's going to go for 220 burgers which isn't that terrible all things considered.
>>5798325
A common super robot trope as it makes the robots seem bigger and bulkier than they are.
It's also hard to hide a huge head on a combiner.
So what's everyone's favorite Combiner Wars bots to use as arms/legs. Don't care about matching/having a complete set.
>>5798237
>Figueroa's art is always really good, but bored of doing the same style of Transformers since 2002, he went with a weird G1/Bayformer hybrid style at that time that wasn't well received
Yeah, that shit was eye meltingly terrible. Really fucking creepy looking designs that didn't fit anyone. It's hard to re-read the issues he did in that style because of it.
>>5798239
Oh that's great to hear, thanks for the info dude, I'm definitely getting that Rodimus now.
I dunno do you guys think this thing has an ab crunch??
>>5798522
until prime can suck his own dick as i have always sought, it is not enough
>>5798522
It's going to be hard to chose from all the Not-Primes we're getting. They all look good in their own right.
>>5798522
Wow which set is this???
Okay guys, if you were to get a Bruticus, which one would you get?
Unite Warriors with the PC10 upgrade kit, or the Warbotron?
>>5796941
His feet are small
>>5798325
It's for "muh perspective" too make it see, bigger
>>5798529
UW Bruticus looks way nicer to me, though im sure both sets are fine toys
>>5798522
honestly one of the nicest third party designs i've seen. different from the original design, but never loses focus. the dynamic proportions and articulation accentuate this. more 3P companies should follow this example
>>5798537
having said that, my autism disallows me to like those feet, it lookes like he has toes. that sandal look must go. give me some robot boots pls. and while the axe idea is intersting, i dont welcome the injection of gray it gives his shoulders, perhaps there could be some armor that covers them up?
>>5798237
>Figueroa's art is always really good
I remember when he was the absolute highlight during the Dreamwave years. To see his art change so drastically, and to that style is kinda sad.
>>5798522
Who is this made by?
>>5798529
I'd say UW for the simple fact you can Scramble City the limb-bots
In fact I'm tempted to get a Sky Dive as an extra member for my upcoming Combatrons
>>5798522
Jesus that's awesome. We don't get nearly enough Transformers with ab crunches.
>>5798529
CW Bruticus. UW has a lot of QC problems and the deco is raw shit. The only good things were the new BO mold, but the BO mold has a shit color scheme and QC issues, and the Vortex remold which, well, not worth the surcharge to get a whole 2 more chopper blades if what you're getting with it is a terribly shitty deco and QC problems.
>>5798580
>UW has a lot of QC problems
Oh really? Please share as I was close to pulling to the trigger on him.
Back to MT Optimus only thing I don't like is the wonky truck mode.
>>5798522
Finally classics Optimus can be put to rest. He had a good run.
>>5798586
I'm probably gonna get shit on for this but I love that truck mode. Looks like a mix of WFC/FOC and Unicron Trilogy with a hint of Maketoys' house style.
>>5798586
Loose joints, shit not tabbing right, UW Onslaught has the same problem as fucking Hotspot with the legs in combiner mode despite it being fixed in the CW version and thw CW version being out for months beforehand, Onslaught's leg hinges mis-assembled so you can't even peg his legs in in robot mode like CW/Hotspot, lots of problems with UW BO, like his ball joints being too small so his arms just pop off.
Takara fucked up with this one.
>>5798597
Mine doesn't have any of those problems.
>>5798599
I'm guessing he's voyager/leader scale seeing him next to Guarida here.
>>5798600
Post pics plz!
Does anybody have the warbotron Bruticus here?
>>5798614
I can't at the moment. I had an operation done on one arm to remove a mass of calcium, so I can't transform him at the moment.
Anyway, I can confirm that Blast-Off did have problems, but they were just lose ball joints, the legs un-tabbing easily and the head falling off easily. You do need to cut some tiny dots between the pelvis and the torso, it's nothing you can't fix.
The rest of the team was fine, better than their CW counterparts (which I also own). They all had better tolerances all around, and Vortex even had a fixed peg hole for the hand/feet part.
>>5798530
Agreed. Still gonna get him but that does kinda stand out.
>>5798594
Yeah it looks nice in my opinion as well, I kind of look at it as somewhat of a cybertroninan semi.
>>5798522
>>5798586
>>5798613
Damn. I usually dislike G1 Optimus' windows being stylized like that, especially if it affects the alt mode like that...but this just works. I mean, the alt-mode still isn't much good, but the super robot proportions worked out really nice.
I kinda feel there's a bit of an Optimus glyut in 3P what with the upgrade sets and the new stuff, but I appreciate things like this. Its interesting the way things are going now with so many different style; I don't see me using that Optimus in a Transformers display at all, but I would totally use it on my shelf with Sentinel Dancouga. Figure like this are interesting to me in that they're almost like physical fanart; or more appropriately a fan redesign. As I'm veering away from collecting a checklist of characters and more into unique pieces, I get interested in things like this more.
What's 3PG's opinion on this one?
With the MP Inferno on the way, the Ocular Max Backdraft has pretty much become obsolete. I still ended up buying one because I'm a real sucker for the Studio Ox design and the fact that it was cheaper than the MP, even though I have that on preorder.
This hobby is painful
>>5798713
Well for one, the two 3P versions of Inferno are far more visually interesting than Takara's effort, especially the legs (which on the official figure are completely devoid of detail). Also if you're a fan of toy accuracy over cartoon accuracy then the unofficial route might be for you.
Not mine but, gurdia looks great with UW superion with PE parts.
>>5798818
>FP Intimidator 2.0
Should I buy Quakewave for $100?
>>5798717
>the two 3P versions of Inferno are far more visually interesting than Takara's effort
For you.
>>5798833
Sunbow sucks, Jin. 3p did it better this time. Fuck off back to lulz.net, Sergalicious.
>>5798837
What a great argument. I hope you'll get plenty of 3P toys for your 14th birthday.
>>5798527
I'll say.
Just pre-ordered Iron Factory's Pink Assassin. Thinking of getting their windblade and something else, any suggestions?
>>5798717
more greeble ≠more visually interesting.
>>5798313
Eugh, that head is fucking awful. I knew TFC's sudden improvement was too good to be true.
>>5798313
Fuck that looks awesome.
>>5798909
>muh GREEBLES
You keep saying that word.
>>5798832
Get a Quakeblast instead. They're usually $85 and generally better, as long as you don't try to use the solid barrel attachment.
>>5798903
Their Overlord is baller, so much fun, the Prowl 3-pack is also good.
You really can't go wrong with the Iron Factory minis man
Well this thing is great and near perfect from the knees up. Killbison however fucks the whole thing. His combination port allows the leg to swivel so freely that when any weight is placed on him, the leg rotates in the joint and the whole thing buckles.
Going to need to go in and tighten the rachet hardcore.
>>5799366
Seriously though the looks kill it hardcore. Thing is Bari as fuck.
>>5799366
Is that a widespread issue or one unique to yours?
>>5799400
No idea, I've not bothered with any reviews past the first two and when I test-fit the leg last month when Jallguar came out the issue didn't make itself apparent since there was no weight on him.
>>5799366
How tall is it compared to some CW combiners?
>>5799427
Here he is with Bruticus with PE parts, MP Sideswipe and Legends Shockwave.
Oddly enough I think I prefer them in their individual forms, they're all amazing as standalone figures.
>>5799448
I'm guessing slightly larger than Star Saber, could be wrong.
>>5799455
Starsaber's around MP Magnus' height. MP Magnus is about a foot tall, isn't he?
>>5799455
He was considerably bigger in show model, and Victory was actually pretty consistent with the scaling. Want to say Victory Saber was the same height but we're never gonna get Victory Leo.
I'm four deep into TFC Liokaiser but I'm interested in what Mech Ideas has in store.
Word is he's only 10 inches so he's way shorter than TFC. Might look good with Iron Factory or DX9/UT Legends.
>>5799474
Only 10"??? I would definitely be in at that size. I need more tiny combiners.
>>5799474
moar legends combiners
beautiful
>>5799474
Looks like they're going the toyworld route of add-on piece for the thigh area.
Not a bad idea since he'll be solid in combined mode and can avoid skinny midsection that TFC has.
>>5799443
fuck this set man, I want to get two of them just to have one for combined display and the others for individual
I almost always end up feeling this way with combiners though fml
>>5799474
So he's made up of smaller deluxes sort of like Maketoys/FP/CW combiners? I'm using Iron Factory's stuff among other legends for that scale.
>>5799497
The face sculpts of everyone are way too characterful to be stored away in limb modes, man. Can't wait to see how light piped Guyhawk's face is considering the rest have been fucking amazingly good. The translucent red on the whole set is perfect.
>>5799503
Well if he really is 10" he'd be the same size as a CW combiner with the HFG's so they should be small deluxes.
>>5799474
If you look closely you can see the breastmaster guys on sitting on the middle of the shoulders below the jet nosecones and inside of the legs for the tank bots. Leozack's looks like his is behind the combiner head. I can't spot Jallguar's. It's either forming some part of the stuff sticking out of the combiner ass or ends up split on the abs somewhere.
>>5799508
Only problem with this is that the big bad Liokaiser will now be a midget compared to CW combiners using PE hands and feet
>>5799517
aslong as he's not 200 plus I don't care
>>5799517
Put him with your legends. I mean you are collecting the most exciting scale happening in 3P at the moment right?
>>5799533
[whyaretherenospoilerson/toy/]I'm too busy CHUGging away to collect Legends class although I wish I could[/hiroshimootplsgiveusspoilers]
>>5799524
>not $200+
>3P combiner
Expect a minimum of $300. Probably closer to $400.
>>5799577
It's not unreasonable. Mech Ideas's releases where pretty competitively priced before they stepped out into animated. Combiners are much more complex than what they had going though.
>>5797947
Thank you. Good to know it won't be like that Azalea thing.
>>5799596
If it helps, the con exclusives from MMC also seem to shelfwarm like a motherfucker. Places still have Nero Rex's and Cynicus' sitting around, and Cynicus was supposedly one of MMC's best sellers next to Feral Rex.
>>5799603
The blue Azalea sold out almost immediately and as far as I know, haven't been available online. The stealth Azalea was available online (I got one off of BBTS) but she's long gone too.
Nero Rex is $500, which isn't an easy sell, so that explains why he's still sitting around. Not sure about Cynicus. I got a normal Cynicus, and he had some QC issues. I have no clue if the exclusive Cynicus also has QC problems, but that might be a reason it's sitting around.
>>5795186
>i want that
>I want that
>#wantthat
>wantthat.com
>wan it
>wantthatthemovie
>>5799606
What's wrong with your Cynicus? I got one too, it's fine other than the backpack being pure murder to unclip to the point I just leave it unclipped.
>>5799617
First the crotchplate that spins to transform into gun mode cracked. Then the scew that connects that part crack the other side of the crotch. Then his right hand cracked at the knuckles.
I like the figure, I just wished he didn't fall apart while transforming him. I know MMC was also in the middle of switching factories, which was a big reason why he was also $20 more expensive than the Azalea figures despite being the same size. I have a bunch of the Reformatted stuff (all six Feral Cons, Hexatron, Stealth Azalea, Salvia, Commotus, and Seraphicus in the mail) and none of the others have any QC issues.
>>5799630
Ouch, that sucks. Sorry to hear Anon.
Worst I've gotten so far is a Hexatron that arrived brand new missing both his guns (retailer sent me replacements), and my Leodux's inner chest bar is upside down and I'd probably break my figure trying to unscrew him so I can unscrew and flip the bar.
Didn't notice it for over a month since I never bothered to try plugging in the chest fill-in's for his lion mode.
>>5799642
Oh hey what's up only other person to constantly get QC issues with MMC products.
Though I guess we're not alone anymore with some of the stuff I've heard about Backdraft.
>>5799665
Well, I don't know if I could call it constant. If my Anarchus arrives with problems, sure yeah.
I'm generally an unlucky person though. Especially with any expensive figures. My MP Hotrod arrived with dust or something under his hood paint so it chipped off where the offending material was. Hexatron missing his guns, Leodux with the upside down bar...
>>5799642
>>5799665
>>5799670
I've had similar issues with mine.
Both forearm guards cracked, as well as one of the hands cracking through around where the gun grip is. That in addition to the main balljoint part of the torso being cracked and the whole mess just being way too loose and finicky to be any fun...
He looks great but compared to Anarchus he's just terrible in terms of play value. I haven't touched him since I got replacement parts and found more issues while installing them.
>>5799684
Well, if theres any looseness, use futureshine.
>>5799690
Looseness of joints isn't an issue, I've fudged PE's Devestator upgrade hands into working order before, the problem is that none of the tabs actually do their job properly. The hands grabbing the torso in gun mode are attached by ball joints that can be moved out of whack, and are in turn secured incredibly poorly to the gun itself, and this leads to the front 60% of the gun mode to just be way too floppy to hold its shape if you so much as touch it or, god forbid, stuff it in someone's hands.
He works as a robot incredibly well but god that gun more is horrendous.
>>5799700
Mine is really solid in gun mode, sorry to hear about yours Anon.
>reading the thread on TFW2005 about MMC Backdraft
It's like PE Leonidas all over again. I'm scared now.
>>5800419
I'm getting worried about MMC. Sphinx's QC was hit or miss and now Backdraft is a mess. I want their trairbreaker but, if they don't step up their game with QC I'm out.
>>5800433
To be fair, the ocular max team is different from their usual reformatted team.
>>5799366
Liokaiser was my favourite bad guy in the G1 continuity.
Should I get Hades when it is completed or wait for Pestilence?
How is the QC for TFC?
I clicked this by mistake. This thread is way more chill than /tfg/
>>5800533
I waited for reviews and I still got a lemon.
>>5800538
What'd you buy?
>>5800539
A lemon
Alright I finally got 3 of the Feral Rex component robots from the netclow guy on ebay.
Everything seems to be okay, actually.
Are there any scans of the instruction manuals?
That's all I need to see if there's any damning issues in the toys
>>5800558
There might be video guides on youtube, MMC puts them out sometimes. Otherwise I dunno if theres instruction scans, you could try looking up some reviewers and seeing how they transform the stuff.
>>5800558
Might wanna check bovis's elbows. They came assembled incorrectly on the original and a nub rubbed up against the divots in the joint. There should be replacements with Fortis though.
>>5799665
I've had maybe one or two things wrong with my MMC stuff and that was back in the Knight Morpher days.
My cursed company is Perfect Effect. Everything I get from them is fucked one way or the other.
>>5800639
ugh I couldn't afford fortis at the time
>>5800558
Alright I finished inspecting netclow's Leo Dux
Other than pic related being screwed in (with +, thank god) reverse, some skid marks in the chest cavity, rough finishes on the end of the tails and shoddy paint finishes for the shoulder guns, he's alright.
For now, I'm just gonna attach the chest chunk piece to the end of the tail and pretend the tail has a bushy end or something.
>>5800732
Holy shit, you got one with the chest bar in upside down too?
>>5800991
yeah, I think I remember you lamenting about it.
did you fix it?
seems doable.
the whole chest chassis (2 piece plastic) is held together with + screws, right?
>>5801159
Yeah but I fear I'll fuck up unscrewing it. Last time I tried to unscrew something (Gen Blitzwing to do the shoulder mod) ended with the screw head pretty much destroyed before I even got 1 screw fully out. The others wouldn't even budge.
>>5801159
>>5801278
Oh, and I saved this from another Anon who did it.
So I snagged sky lynx from Ross earlier for about 15$. His transformation is unique and I got confused, but once I got the hang of it, I have to say I really like it. it's a real fresh idea.
Any cool shit you guys get?
>>5798713
Ocular Max has been incredibly stupid so far.
Studio Ox designs my ass, so far all they've released are G1 cartoon designs. their insecticons are very much not the Ox designs especially
im sure they're good toys, but this is supposed to be an Ox line, no?
Anyone got the DX9 Leah & Toufold? aka Legends notArcee and notKup?
>>5799473
Not sure i care for that Liokaiser headsculpt. The individual bots look good though.
>>5801423
They're more ox-ish than cartoon-ish. But I do agree, it should be 100% ox.
>Maketoys First Aid and Hotspot were supposed to be coming in today
>Get email from Kapow telling me the package has been delayed
>>5801686
>maketoys guardia
You deserved it
>>5801687
wat
>>5797947
They were $130 CAD cash, tax with credit, for I forget how much more, $7 or $17 or something.
I couldn't pull the trigger on Seraphicus Prominion for $200 or whatever. If I'm going to spend that much, I guess it'll be on the new Overlord.
>>5801686
I got an email from Kapow this morning about my TR blaster being delayed. Maybe they got washed away by that mental thunderstorm?
>>5795186
how are MMC so eclectic with what they make?

>>5802105
>implying people like cassy's designs
im on mobile can someone post an image?
>>5802141
Here you go.
Looks like this render was retooled into Rodimus lol
>>5800645
Fortis has the same problem. It's more of a visual thing that's hard to spot until the gears are rubbed down a little. People didn't notice it until someone started pointing it out.
You just need to pop the pin out and flip the piece or something. I'm babby mode when it comes to disassembling things and even I could do it. Just make sure you get the parts with fortis.
Also check for buttcracks. For whatever reason I got an extra Bovis ass with Fortis as well but I never had a problem with it.
>>5802212
My Bovis's ass is fine though.
Also I'll just have to get Fortis to figure out what's wrong with the elbow.
If it's just a visual thing rather than a mechanical problem then Imma just gonna leave it alone.
Oh and I checked Tigris and he's A-OK.
Came with all the retrofit extra parts for other figures too, like Leo Dux's cannon.
This netclow guy is a saint.
Bless him.
[toyspoiler]Or I just got lucky with the draw from the rejection pile he's selling from[/toyspoiler]
>>5801280
thanks for that pic, anon
I managed to fix it.
now he's all good
Does anyone know what this is, btw?
Came with Bovis and Tigris.
Is anyone else planning on making another Predaking or is MMC the preferred definite Predaking atm?
>>5802278
If you like bigger shoulder cannons then check out TFC Ares.
>>5802281
But that looks like a fiddly mess.
>>5802184
>Looks like this render was retooled into Rodimus lol
Son of a bitch, the legs certainly look like it at least, fucking MMC.
>>5802314
It wasn't that hard, really.
just loosen up the 4 screws on the chest and make sure you don't lose the ratchet and gear pieces for the arms.
and then unscrew two tiny screws at the each end of the long piece, and then flip that to the other side and screw them back in.
>it won't budge.
ya gotta put some serious downward pressure on to the screw before turning it.
or get someone with better gripping strength than you to do it for you.
make sure you're using pic related
>>5802314
oh and you're turning them in counter-clockwise to loosen them, right?
this is important.
>>5802331
Yeah, turn to the left to loosen, right to tighten, right?
>>5802351
yeah
make sure you use the right size for the screwdriver
if it's too small then it will fuck up the screw head when turning
if it's too big then it will fuck up the screw head when exerting downward pressure
>>5802360
I'm just gonna leave it be then. I'm too afraid I'll fuck it up.
>>5802379
for the record I used the red one for the chest chassis
and the blue one for the long piece
>>5802256
>>5801280
Oh shit someone saved my pic! Glad to have helped someone for a change.
Now I'm having an issue with my TFC hades guys. So to the anon here with the Combined Hades pics>>5799443
I assume their yours, and this goes to anyone that has these guys. Just how snug/flush is Cerberus's combiner peg with the tank guy's ports? Mine does not want to stay connected for shit on Hypnos and I just found out the hard way that fucking Thanatos is outright missing the inside of his combiner port. Pics coming in a few minutes.

Here is a pic of Thanatos and his missing port part
>>5802437
and here is Hypnos with his complete port, so if anyone out there has a thanatos you may want to double check if he is properly assembled.
>>5802437
where did you buy that thanatos
Lastly here is a pic of Cerberus and Hypnos. Is this normal? It snaps free in a instant and won't push in any further.
>>5802464
ebay, private seller in the US, two months ago or so. I have tried contacting tfc's after sales service but no reply yet.
Traded off my old version of Tyrant for this Windblade and I'm not regretting it.
I'm pretty psyched for their version of Arcee and I hope they do multiple colors.
So I just got IF Blizzard in the mail, and he's pretty cool, but I can't get his tank-mode to seal up right. Like i cant get those wing-flaps that go on top of the legs to tab together with them
and the smaller fold out wings, Im not sure wether to keep them IN the treads or try and fold them out, either way they seem to clash with the legs so it doesnt go all flush.
Any Help?
>>5802923
>Kat on Anarchus

>>5802467
Jallguar's comboners are shit. The issue I thought had arisen in Killbison's port was actually because of that exact thing. The rivet holding the bottom part of the joint isn't in strong enough to deal with the tensions required, so if you can, yard it off with a pair of needlenose pliers and then glue the rivet back inside. Makes for a tighter knee rachet and better knee in general.
>>5803447
okay, I can do that. I'm waiting on a tfc mad blender I found on ebay that was loose and incomplete for $35, i'm gonna deconstruct it for its combiner port innards for my notkillbision. But in my pic of not drillhorn the two ports never sit flush, and if I were to bend the knee joint while its attached it comes apart instantly. Is that normal?
>>5802467
Is it one of those goofy ones where you have to insert it one way, then rotate to the desired position?
>>5803097
I dont think many people have that figure yet, you might have to wait a while for an answer.

>>5806603
There's so many 3P Optimuses going on, I'm kinda lost on what to wait for.
I was gonna get the KO normal sized MP when they go back in stock in fall, but third party looks tempting + Chinese shipping is expensive
>>5806611
What's wallah?
>>5806622
There's a ton of Optimus shit coming out. Everything from upgrade kits to a bunch of different iterations. Maketoys doing whatever the fuck they want is probably going to work out for them at this rate.
We might need a chart for them soon.
>>5806625
its arabic, it means to swear in god's (Allah's) name
>>5806721

Can't wait for Megatron wars, especially for non-G1 figures.
I hate G1 Megatron because the altmode always fucks up the robot mode, and I don't really like gun modes.
This looks like shit. Did the original toy alt mode look like garbage?

No the original toy Jetfire had a gorgeous altmode. that said, that's not a Jetfire toy, its a skyfire toy.and Skyfire had a blocky cobbled together alt-mode animated on the cheap. He had no toy
That said though, its still not an excuse because that figure still takes liberties witht he design. It needs far more sweeping lines and better proportions.

>>5807371
This is the "some bootleg garbage" thread.
>>5807378
Then why is it titled "Transformers" and not "Bootleg General"?
Transformers is a trademarked brand by a company that creates things, not a random label for every uncreative knockoff design that apes other people's work.

It's also not a knockoff if the mold is original shitcunt learn what words mean.

Some KO company really should upsize it to fit deluxe TFs.
Black Shadow looks cool, too.
>>5808308
I'm really loving this Ark set. $17 New in box at Bargain Hunt on Wednesday.
Black Shadow is ok. Bot mode and sculpting are 10/10 and he /looks/ great. Pretty decent plane mode, but he has a pretty standard plane transformation where the feet become the jets and his arms just peg under the wings and the wings themselves are kind of fiddly. He also has some painfully sharp points. Not very imaginative. Not IF's best work, but still pretty great. Bot mode's totally worth it though.
>>5808334
Yeah I think his major design philosophy from them was "How goddamn pretty can we make a figure."
Plus experimenting with translucent plastic.
>>5808343
>Yeah I think his major design philosophy from them was "How goddamn pretty can we make a figure."
I am 100% ok with this. I wish more 3rd parties thought this way.
>>5807766
Aww shit mate, that sucks. I'm sorry.
In slightly less depressing news the final two components of Guardia came in today and holy FUCK is he great. Easily the best combiner I've ever had.
Only 3 complaints-
>1: I got 2 left parts of one of the leg pieces. That said it doesn't affect the figure at all so it's pretty much just a 'tism issue.
>2: The ankles are a liiiittle loose. Just a little mind you.
>3: Some of the torso panels can come unpegged easily. Again it doesn't really affect the figure at all but it is slightly irritating.
He's complex for sure but he isn't scary to transform, just challenging. I won't be regularly transforming him but he isn't a "Transform once and NEVER TOUCH AGAIN" deal like some combiners.
Overall, I love 'im and if you want a Defensor but don't want to go Repaint Wars I'd suggest this one.
>>5808358
Well for one, I have no idea how that guy managed to break that. It must've been retardedly tight and he must've been using a lot of force. Mine clips in and out snugly, smooth like butter.

>tfw misplaced all of my autobot stickers
>>5810566
So how is he?
>>5810618
After reading the tfw thread and hearing about the QC hell, I'm surprised that mine is in really good condition.
It does have the common faults that have been reported and supposedly being fixed by mmc, like the crotch not tabbing in and the head panel not locking ( you can see it in my pics) but other than that, no further issues. No paint problems, tolerances are nice otherwise.
Essentially, QC wise (issues and non-issues), it's on par with your official MPs.
>>5810673
Oh and the gun won't tab into the hand.
>>5810673
You're damn fucking lucky. On top of everything you mentioned, mine has chrome wear, chipping paint and loose limbs.

Now that you've pointed it out, my OCD is kicking in and I'll take another pic tomorrow when there's light outside.
>>5814113
>I envy you, anon.
Nothing to envy, good anon. Just a big Bruticus fan. I'm especially keen on any Bruticus done up in his glorious G2 deco.
Speaking of which, I have the original G2 figure, the G2 FoC version, and the G2 CW version (With PE hands/feet). Is any 3rd party ever going to take a swing at a G2 Bruticus. I was hoping Microblaze would do a proper G2 FoC Onslaught kit...but I'm guessing they went out of business?
Did people not like their military titans kit? Because I think it's awesome.
>>5815212
Oh my anon even Blastoff's face is obsecured!

Don't give James Roberts any ideas.
>better build quality
Better than what? Better than the original Beast Wars figure or better than their own Leonidas? Either way I'll let you goons be the guinea pigs on QC, but I like what I see.
"Better than our past shit" is my guess. I owned the official one and it was solid as fuck.
>>5815551
Leonidas I'm sure. Their smaller figures haven't really had much to complain about wrt build quality but then when they bumped it up to the size of Leonidas it had a lot of issues and this figure by being huge and full of metal will be most similar to that, so it's kind of exactly the sort of thing they feel they need to reassure people about.

Firmly in the wait for reviews. Given how massive it is and PE prices, I'm betting its going to start at $200. After many fuckups in the row with Aranea and both Leonidas molds I'm sitting on the fence until these are in hand.

>>5816907
Such as?
>>5816907
He's been a shill for years like most reviewers.
Is TFC Hades considered MP Liokaiser? One of the reviewers show that the basic guys are as tall as the MP Cars and I've seen how big it is in combined mode and he scales well with MP Star Saber since that's basically how tall he was against Star Saber in the anime.
>>5817197
no because he's the same size as starsaber,
>>5817239
Really? Isn't that TFC Hades only slightly taller than Star Saber. Star Saber is quite huge since he is as tall as Road Ceasar and Landcross and those 2 are already combiners. Saber on the other hand is as tall as the Breastforce guys when they're in their individual forms.
>>5817239
I was just checking the anime again and yeah this anime is not as bad when it comes to scales unlike the original 3 season, the Anime since God Masterforce had constant scale to them.
>>5817263
liokaiser is to starsaber as overlord was to super ginrai
>>5817277
Yeah but isn't that the TFC Hades is about 2 heads taller than MP Star Saber combined?
>>5817026
Chrome chipping, vehicle mode wheel too tight, god awful overspray, ladder having black dust on kit OOB, ladder fragility, doors too tight, doors not sitting flush, head panel not tabbing in properly to cab when going to robot mode, etc
>>5816907
The only one who isn't is Skullface and even he can be way too forgiving of companies he really likes like Fans Toys and MMC.
>>5817443
>Skullface
The biggest thing I noticed from him is that when he has a dislike bias on the toy he will ham hand it and try to break it on camera to justify how "shit" the toy is rather than transforming it carefully then giving his opinions on it objectively. He has done that again and again that's why sometimes I don't find him as a credible reviewer.
Wotafa is still better and because he actually takes care of how he does things and doesn't ham hand them that's why you rarely see him mention about problems with his reviews cause of how careful he is when he's handling the item.
Emgo is on the middle ground for me on the other hand cause he really does point out the problems of the toy but at least he does it without any bias and that he actually doesn't ham hand them just to show how shit the toy is. I just personally hate his mascot so I skip that and him talking about the box for the most part.
You can see it on their difference of sub count, Skullface says he's doing it for the sake of people but sometimes you can see just how much the lack of enthusiasm on his part that after watching one of his reviews sometimes you would feel pissed off at everything for a while--while Wotafa and Emgo you just want to keep watching their videos cause their videos are really enjoyable.
>>5817531
I like Skullface for just ripping into the bad shit about most toys, we need more of that in reviews. Too many are "YEAH THE THING FALLS APART IN YOUR HAND AND GIVES YOU ASS CANCER JUST LOOKING AT IT, BUT 10/10 I LOVE IT".
Emgo is pretty good for pointing out problems too, but he's usually still pretty positive overall about most toys. He's usually damn good for transformation steps though.
>>5817551
Yeah the problem is some of his "bad" shit isn't even that bad and he just go full bias on those that's why I look into people like Emgo for a more objective view on it.
>>5817388
While I don't doubt those issues exist, how widespread are they?
>>5817531
Very good points. I find Skullface increasingly grating the more I watch him. You can tell sometimes he really doesn't give a shit.
Emgo's kinda cringy most of the time, but he is one of the more thorough reviewers.
>>5817694
Half of the TFW thread has reported it. It's pretty god damned widespread, like PE Leonidas.
>>5817694
Quite widespread. Other things to add to that list are two of the same hands, two of the same shoulders and loose joints.
Friendly reminder to rev up those 180 burgers this September.
