So I picked up a Skull Basher with the TRU sale to try and mod into a FemSkull. I figure those bigger shells used on the lower legs can be moved up to the thighs and rotated out to make some Hartman hips, plus the other two shells could make some decent breasts. I plan on using Kulta's skull mask since I got a golden skull mask for Kulta.

Any recommendations to the idea? I've never MOC'd a bonkle before.

Sounds like a plan.

Maybe for the thighs, try connecting the skull knee armors with technic pieces instead of a ccbs shell. In other words, add it onto a technic leg that can hold other armor pieces on the front or back instead of only having armor on the side of a ccbs leg.

You have to get used to the idea that you may not get every little piece you want. It's not like shopping out of a lego parts catalogue.

Keep a wanted list, multiple if it helps organize the pieces you want into more manageable groups. You can search for stores according to which best fills your list, but if you prioritize a specific part(s) then work backward - check stores that sell that piece and see what else they have on your wanted list. The more reviews, the larger the store and its inventory tend to be.

NSSD's ass design is intended to be articulated; the rubber or elastic keeps the asscheeks in place, meaning that they'll hold to poses but won't flop around.

Some have parts cut off, most, however, don't, as it isn't necessary.
The pins that are used to hold the cheeks also allow for them to be posed as being peeled apart.

It's quite possible to figure out how some of these things work just by looking, NSSD takes a lot of pictures and has a fuckton of MOCs.

On second thought you're probably right, there's a connection in the usual Nimbutt that only effectively seems to come out from heresy, namely the connection done on the hip ball joint parts, usually it's made from a cut HF bone.

Ah well, NSSD has a tutorial for all of this, and sells asses on occasion too. You can find it for yourself. He really brought Bonkle ass technology into its own, if you ask me.

I wouldn't be able to really properly guess. Bionicle masks, especially as old as that one. have much more specific connections than parts like nuva shoulders, which have clear and obvious means of being connected to, say, System parts like Kiri there uses.

Additionally, NSSD is super liberal about putting his designs up, like I mentioned he has made tutorials for and still sells Nimbutts, amongst other things. It's possible to understand some of the stuff he doesn't post tutorials for, but you can still -see- a little bit of it.

I would guess, as of right this moment, that ti's a bracket piece with a hole, like the Moenicle 2.0 frames used. I'm still baffled by how the 3.0s have their boobs built but after getting a better look at Toa-Ju's Bionicants and seeing how the used camwheels and angle connectors I think I may understand it a smidge better? I doubt it.

If it's not that I'd think it could be nearly any piece that has the room to fit a stud into, but I'd think it's a System piece.

I've only done it once. My Ignika had zero friction so I super glued in an axle. Kinda regret it now, but atleast the Ignika doesn't fall off now.

The worst one I own is an Axonn mask my friend fucking ruined. First he burned it with a lighter so it would look battle damaged, but that fucked up its connector, so he shittily glued it to a mata head, but later broke it back off. It will not stay on a head very well at all now, it's fin is warped, and the face is all fucked.

Ekimu and the Mask of Creation have been consistently associated with trans light blue, so I was excepting the Mask of Control to be associated with trans purple to match Makuta.
