My biggest issues are regarding the leg articulation. I'm not even sure he has any joints other than "ankles". I also hope that isn't the only angle the cannons can sit at. Plus, I'd rather they be black (or at least very dark smoky clear plastic if it must be clear.

Nero Rex is just Feral Rex in different colors, honestly I find it ugly as shit. Sometimes you can get it cheaper than the FR though just because it's a different color scheme despite being a con exclusive. And yes, Feral Rex is one of the few 3P combiners worth the money, but it is a lot of money (like every 3P combiner).

Do you really want to spend nearly $600 on it? Thats for you to decide. The individual figures are all very well done, solid and weighty enough. Combined mode looks great, and has pretty good articulation, though like most 3P combiners, it's weight and bulkyness can restrict posing a bit, same as any big figure.

I get the color scheme they were going for, a more traditional, black/purple/silver Decepticon scheme, but I think the basic Predacon color scheme is great. Vibrant colors in nature frequently mean something is dangerous (see: Bees, wasps, tons of poisonous things, etc.), and the yellow/red/orange/black of Predaking really suits it well I think.

MMC as a whole makes pretty good shit. It's not just Feral Rex, most anything in their Reformatted line has turned out great. Probably their worst Reformatted figure is their Arcee (and her recolors), and only because the early IDW-ized Arcee design wasn't too great and the altmode is a bit fiddly to get into. Makes you wonder why they keep re-using that one mold though. They've now spat out Arcee and like 6 recolors/different heads. Someone at MMC must have a big fat hardon over that mold.

I have Prometheus. His strongest point is his faithfulness to the original G1 figure which is why I went for him. Unfortunately that's all he has going for him. He can't get out of his own way and there's no way to put him in an awesome pose. The individual bots are rather bland and feel dated.

Gurdia who I'd written off because he was too stylized has ended up winning me over. I've warmed up to the bots who have loads more personality and the combined mode is a modernized super robot he still evokes denfensor to me. Not to mention he seems to have way more playability that Prometheus.

i like them aesthetically overall, but the first three ( i don't have grimlock ) all have small issues about them that bug me. the face sculpts all look pretty bad because the sculptor has some obsession with lips. i don't care for the plastic quality either. it feels lighter and cheaper than say MakeToys or MMC

sludge has no wrist swivels and can barely hold his gun. the sword holds securely, but he can't hold it straight because the guard bumps into the forearm.

slag has clearance issues with transforming the frills. he lacks a waist swivel because the tail is connected to his lower body and tabbed into pegs on the upper body so it doesn't flop around. they also randomized his head to be either black or red. if it matters to you and you're buying brand new, you'd have to ask the seller to peek through the dino mouth in the package to determine which color it is.

swoop is probably the worst. the wings don't compact and fold up as much as you'd hope, so they always feel like a giant chunk of plastic hanging off his back. his waist swivel is pretty loose. his legs are needlessly ratcheted for how light he is. the outward ratchets have way too much space between teeth. moving each leg outwards once already puts him into a fairly wide A-stance. this would be tolerable except the gears have way too much give. this allows him to slump, forcing the legs into an even wider A-stance. the retail version also came with a blue body in a separate box. if you don't switch out the entire arm/wing assembly from the red to the blue body, the wings can potentially break when moving them if you aren't holding them correctly. the wing assembly installed in the blue body has extra notches added which makes rotating the wings incredibly tight, and the wings are assembled at the joints with thin plastic that won't hold up to much twisting.

They also aren't scaled well with other Legends style figures, namely IF stuff. Both weirdwolf and chromedome are 3.75" tall, so they are relatively massive. That and they have the 3mm hands and peg holes. I don't want to pass on them but these two facts make it so they have no place in my collection.
