They appear to be the same foldy-back-and-forth mechanism that FT Soar uses for this thighs.

Hopefully they've improved the tolerances and execution or it'll plague the bot mode for anything but straight up standing poses.

After seeing the neutral expression, I still think Apollyon has the better face but that one aspect isn't enough for me to pick him over this guy here. Eh, I wouldn't say that. I have the FP Dinobots and I like them well enough, though I do think they have some flaws. The line started out fantastic and then Swoop and Grimlock went a bit downhill. They're still fun toys with a decent design but I can't help but feel like they don't stack up to their Sludge and Slag.

TF-direct is good as well, sometimes a little cheaper, but it comes from China which takes like half a month.

A lot of people like TFSource, but they have shit all over me every time with their customer service so I really don't advise them. They took my money and waited a week to ship out my items, none of which were pre-ordered, then they shipped the stuff a slower speed than what I paid for and they said "Sorry, better luck next time" more or less.

BBTS has awesome customer service even though the prices are a little more (like $5-10).

TF-direct as also treated me well on the rare occasions I've ordered from them.

One store I LOVE but they are small and don't have a lot of stock is Lunar Toys, if you live in NY always check them first. They ship hella fast, have really competitive prices, they just don't order a wide selection because they are more or less a start up store right now. I ordered MXII Andras from them, he was $20 under MSRP, then the store owner emailed me apologizing that the last figure in stock he had was the one checked for customs and the tape on the box was cut on one side and wanted to make sure I still wanted it.

I only deal with tfsource at cons, their tyrannical preorder policies and whatnot are just not worth it. bbts may be slightly more expensive and take longer to ship but I've had many interactions with their employees (on and offline) and they are really stand-up. going to a Chinese company is probably cheaper but if you value customer service BBTS is the way to go.
