He had a spear and a shield in 2015, then he swapped for a gun and a sword, and then lost a lot of his armor.

Weirdly enough they were putting stuff on clearance from various themes yesterday (Prisma)
and the bonkle shelf only is now the only almost empty one with Akidas and Ikirs. They did say that they fill the shelf from left to right and bonkle is on the far right so if they have it coming it would take at max to the next Monday for someone to put them on the shelves according to the employee.

Some guy also on Norway mentioned they'll be available on next Monday there despite them also releasing uniters in March there.

So despite it being really odd that the uniters were for sale only three months I'm pretty positive the beasts arrive soon.

So I was at TRU and saw the new sets, my reaction was a slight gasp, with a quiet whoa afterwards, quake and storm beast were the only ones that looked interesting, but I left the lego aisle and ended up buying a Charizard and Fox amiibo instead. Because the combination gimmick is rad as fuck, too. Plus, you can either have a normal Toa and their cute animal pet OR a tricked out Toa of beastliness. I see no problems with the idea at all.

You know what G2 is missing? The whole robotic/mechanical aesthetic and feel that the first few years of Bionicle had.

I remember in MNOLG how the characters had those mechanical sounds every time they moved, and how things like the Boxor and Exo Toa existed (The former actually being built by a matoran). G2 just seems to forget all about that and goes for a purely mystical vibe which, while still pretty dope, just doesn't feel the same as G1. I was hoping we'd get some vehicles and maybe some more robotic enemies, but from the way things are going I'm going to guess that the most we'll ever get are those piston pieces and some more Technic/CCBS builds.

Yes and yes. I mean, the beasts still aren't GREAT, but they're definitely cooler in person. And Umarak is actually a really solid set. He's got a few gaps, but I barely notice them because of how jacked and impressive he looks sizing up the Toa.

Amiibo don't really offer anything all that cool in terms of gameplay (except getting the FXchip arwing in Star Fox zero, thats pretty cool) but the sculpts are pretty solid, good for decorating and admiring.

Quake beast has a massive gap an is generally considered the worst by the community. Storm Beast thas an unique function but the open socket and no elbows on the arms is rather questionable.

Lava Beast has the most generic build but it gets the job done without looking too odd and is generally considered the best of the beasts.

Ekimu only has one new piece for the crystal hammer but comes with two really cool mask recolors., light transparent blue mask of creation and Umarak the Hunter's mask dualmolded in trans-orange and gunmetal

Umarak has pieces definetly worth the price but the model itself has some gaps here and there, nothing what I could consider a dealbreaker tho.

Finally got my hands on the whole wave today and tried doing this with QB.
As expected, it VASTLY improves its design.
I also changed the way the parts are attached to the trans-green wheel which puts the arm more closely to the torso but still lets it swing freely.

That's not a good thing for the line though, and in no way proves they're selling better than Bionicle.

Both will likely be cancelled sometime next year and Lego will wrap up it's think thanks to create a new theme that will try to save constraction. Or they just say fuck it and constraction is dead forever.

Other option I see is that they cancel Star Wars and throw the current Bionicle story and setting out of the window and make a "soft" reboot with new setting and brand new characters.

He looks a lot better in person and the best way to describe him is probably "G2 in a Nutshell": an almost entirely trans-colored figure with gold highlights, gear functions and a a custom-built weapon.

Unity torso armor is nice simply because it has some level of detail, I would prefer if it was two pieces and not printed, but its better than the godawful torso shells we got last year.

Rahkshi's were great. They had a function that makes them completely immobile but it was executed so well compared to the beasts.
