Marvel Legends collection chart anon here. Well, the chart got way too big with the recent releases and announcements, so I had to cut out the older releases (for now).

Anyone know of a good set of replacement hands for this thing? Using a pair of White Tiger hands but the are gummy as heck and clawed.
>>
>>5601238

How do people even replace the hands of toys that only come with one pair of hands? Just heat and switch, i'm guessing? Or will I have to damage the figure?
>>
>>5601268

Gwen's hands pop out very easily.
>>
Just got Jack O'Lantern. I really like the body he's on. He's by no means the most articulated figure, but he just looks really nice. I've wanted a figure on this body since I first saw Ghost, so I'm glad they reused it for Jack.
>>
>>5601268
I think almost all of the legends figures hands pop out with a bit of moving. There should be a ball join in there holding it in, and it's just a matter of trying to get it out of the hole.
>>
>>5601340
I managed to pull out Daredevil's hand with a bit of heat and pressure and replaced it with one of Scarlet Spider's fisted hands. Had to trim the peg on the end of the new hand but besides that it was an easy customization.

Stumbled on a Venom at the store last week. It's only the third ML I've bought (the other two being Carnage and Black Widow), but Venom is my favorite by far! I don't have Carnage anymore as I gave him to my nephew (slightly regretting that now, as it'd be cool to have him squaring off against Venom, haha), but Venom seems to be a lot bulkier than I remember Carnage being, which is great!

Liking this guy so much that I went ahead and ordered a Spider-Gwen off HTS for him to face off against.

>>
>>5601830
>left email address in
Well, whatever.

In other news, I recently got Venom, Taskmaster and Scourge and they're all going up in the BST soon because I'm selling my collection again. Definitely some of the more fun figures that they've made in a few waves.
>>
>>5601720
You're a saviour. They had venom and taskmaster too
>>
Is the white Vision from the 3 pack any good?
>>
>>5601720
>What makes her so bad?
I don't own her personally but I own figures that use the same base body as she does.
The body isn't as bad as many make it out to be but it's pretty weak in some areas, mostly the torso. There is very little forward or back movement there. Another problem is that the left ankle pivot, at least on my Anya Spider-Girl, was extremely tight and made standing her a bitch. The legs are also a bit wonky to move and like to pop out sometimes with the figures I own on the base body. It makes posing the legs both easier and harder. Harder because the legs pop out often, but easier because you can half the joint to get a better range out of them. They don't have much outward movement. Finally the lack of interchangeable hands appears to be a problem most people have with the figure.

It's not a bad figure by any means, at least if the other figures on the same body are anything to go by, but if you don't know these problems then I can see why somebody might be disappointed with her.
>>
>>5600411

Juggernaut is also rumored as the x-men BAF, Id very much prefer apocalypse. Though I hope Marvel Select tries their hand at an Apocalypse.

They've said it's really big though, almost as big as hulkbuster, one of their biggest BAF ever will be in the x men wave. I can't imagine hasbro doing a fuck huge juggernaut, and boy do we not need one.
>>
>>5602010
If they did do Juggernaut it would be Rhino all over again, where there's an obviously better Select and it makes the BAF choice a complete waste.

>>

Yeah, BAF rhino was pretty great, I donno what you're talking about. The select was one of the better ones in the line, but the legends was at least on the same level and with the bonus of scaling even better with legends. I also way preferred the paintjob to the select's grey.

I really wanted to do Kamandi [The Last Boy on Earth], this Jack Kirby character. I had this great pitch … and Dan Didio, Co-Publisher of DC Comics, said, ‘You think this is gonna be for kids? Stop, stop. We don’t publish comics for kids. We publish comics for 45-year-olds. If you want to do comics for kids, you can do Scooby-Doo.

I hate this figure so much!

I like Jack and I think he looks amazing. However, even if I fixed his bendy leg I don't think I'd have to much fun posing him. He feels flimsy, and his hands can barely hold any of his accessories, had a hard time getting him to hold the sickle and it just looked awkward.

I'm so conflicted, thinking about returning him if I find the receipt and getting mockingbird maybe.

Non-exclusive Legends don't stay rare, you just have to wait it out and eventually they become so proliferated that the price drops to retail. People complained about Mandroid Widow being scarce, then they flooded the market. People complained about UGG Black Cat being scarce, then they flooded the market. The only somewhat impossible to find non-exclusive Legends I can think of is the RR Jean Grey.

Gwen's "rare" period is basically done, since she's been in-stock for retail at numerous online shops for days now.

Well the obvious choice would be a Giant Man figure for an Avengers display. The Toy Biz Giant Man BAF would be my first choice. Pic related. It's expensive though. I'm glad I got mine years ago when the series was released.

You could always go with last years' SDCC Giant Man. He's only 12 inches tall but looks pretty good.

Then there is the Marvel Universe Walmart 2 pack version.

This obviously isn't ideal, but when a figure doesn't want to hold something, I often use one of these bands. They're usually perfect size for a 6" hand. They can be found with the hair ties in the cosmetic section at most stores for a few bucks.

I saw one recently where they had taken the piece and the figure from a mockingbird package and replaced it with Valkyrie. And I just don't understand since she's a pretty recent figure going for retail. On top of that, at the time they didn't sell that Cap wave yet in the area, so he got the mockingbird elsewhere and returned it to this target.

You know how we throw around the word "autistic" here on /toy/ quite a bit? That's pretty much exactly what it is that defines these people.

They're likely losers still living at home with their moms, past the prime of their lives with no future prospects and not looking for solutions to better themselves, stuck in poverty and replacing the real world with one that centers around something trivial like toys.

They can't afford the things they like because of their litany of mental and emotional issues, and are so far gone from seeing clearly that they justify anything and everything if it pushes away the dread of having to face a life that can only be defined as shitty and pointless.

He's been around since 1963 and reappeared consistently since then, including stints in the Masters of Evil and the Thunderbolts. He has been featured in almost every Marvel cartoon since 1966 and there was even a version of the character in Agents of SHIELD.

Just cause you're some ignorant MCU baby doesn't mean that the character is unknown. It shows how limited your knowledge of the MU really is. Please go back to /tv/ since that's where you belong.

On a positive note...

I'd never ordered anything from Dorksidetoys before, and they got it to me fast and in pristine condition. Didn't realize they're based just 30 minutes drive from where I live here in Nashville. Hooray for my local guys.

Glaring lack of paint apps in places--just unpainted molded red plastic. Horrible articulation. Like, he has rocker feet but they don't allow for shit since his articulation is so limited at the hips. Shoulder articulation is shit because the shoulder pieces obstruct the movement (I mean seriously, couldn't they have done what they did with last year's War Machine figure?).

I've had a couple of Legends IM, and they were both gummy, lacking paint, and had limited articulation.
>>
>>5611681
They did an entirely new mold with this Iron Man. The plastic is a lot more rigid. He looks a lot better, but the articulation suffers for it.

Tried my best to get a pic of Black Panther doing the jumping thing from the trailer, this was the result.
>>
>>5611687
Yeah, but due to the hand armor/sculpt his hands will only flex one way so the fucking blast effect is pretty useless unless you raise his arm and bend it at the elbow joint (i.e. you can't do arms-extended poses because the blast effect will be pointing either straight towards the ground or straight up in the air, get it?).
>>
>>5611695
You can half-peg his hands, to get around this. Just pull the peg in the hand out a bit and you can get his arm fully extended and his palm at 90 degrees from his arm.

Stupid that you have to do that, but it's a work around.
>>
>>5611695
it's a good thing I'm getting the figuarts then, the ml just looks too cheap

My order came in today and I'm pretty happy aside from a few things.

>Iron Man
Definitely the worst in all departments so I'll be selling him

>Captain America
He really looks good but really could have used the extra hands and unmasked head. His eyes on mine were placed a little bit too high so it looks like hes scowling at you if his head is lowered a little.

>Giant-Man
As I was building him I thought he didn't look too bad until I put his legs on, that's when his proportions stuck out. But that aside he is suprisingly fun to mess with. If I knew how to I would repaint his mask as the eyes kinda stand out and because I'm not a fan of the color.

>Black Panther
He's awesome but cannot put his arms down his sides worth a shit and has some paint marks on several parts of his body on mine.

>Red Guardian
Fucking awesome overall, definitely my favorite out of the wave.

>Nick Fury
Mine came with a pretty loose neck joint so his head flopped around quite a bit, I just decided to use the mask instead. The wash they gave his equipment looks great too.
Dont care about Nuke so I'm selling him as well.
>>
>>5612090
Aren't the biceps on Black Panther backwards? A reviewer switched them and it looks a lot better.
>>
>>5612096
I dont think so, that's about as far as mine go as well.
>>
>>5612090

Giant Man's got great articulation from what I've seen.
>>
>>5612129
That's mainly cause the hip and shoulder sockets are empty af. Lots of room for them to move around, but they look awful.
>>
>>5612144

Post some pics?

Worth it, or should I wait and see if they make another Legends one when Infinity War comes out?

That's probably not for another 2 or 3 years.

Its worth it alone for the reissue as they got rid of the blushing face.

A Five Below opened locally, i went to check it out today. Saw 2 pegs of this and only this. Nobody else from this wave. Odd, any idea why?
>>
>>5612599
I kind of want him, but the lack of abdominal joint (and ankle pivot?) seems frustrating
>>
Is the Toybiz Silver Centurion IM any good? I've always liked the West Coast Avengers but I'm not sure how dated it will feel in hand
>>
>>5612653
The main body is basically the most antiquated Legends body there is. I mean, I love the figure, it's really kooky looking and has a great accessory, but it just moves so bizarrely throughout the entire upper body and is just really, really outdated.
>>
>>5612599
I just got him in a couple days ago and I really like him.
His paint is a bit flaky though. For a Select figure that was made in 2006 it's really good and still holds up today really well.

Only articulation points I feel he's missing is some kind of boot swivel and maybe an ab joint. Other than that he moves how you expect Thanos to and looks great on a shelf.

Nico from the Runaways.
I have no idea. I'm still crossing my figures that Shocker is part of the series. I know he was rumored, but I feel like Electro might take his place.

I need my Superior Foes team dammit.

Tell me she comes with a non witch arm hand. tell me that and Ill buy twelve.
>>
>>5612766
Marvel Select Hawkguy, the newest release. Comes with Pizza Dog. The articulation in the arms is a little lacking but overall he's an awesome figure.
>>
>>5612648
Five Below usually gets the leftover junk stores don't want any more. I'm thinking theres some huge thing where they sell off overstocked toys to smaller chains, like we have a grocery store near me that's only in this region and they get in toys from like Ben 10 Omniverse and shit all the time.
>>
>>5612787
Electro and Shocker sound like a perfect match for swap figures though.

Picked up Marvel Legends Taskmaster and not sure if I wanna keep it since I don't know much about the character. I mean he looks cool at least.
