A quick pic of my progress so far.

This model has floating-axle suspension, and the two front axles are both steered. The two rear axles drive the inline six-cylinder engine that sits under the cabin.

I'm very impressed with the design of the suspension and steering.

Still here, and here's the file.

Just a arning like I'd posted last thread; the thing is still fucked up. I didn't have any photos for reference to the back, which is incomplete anyway. and regardless of that the torso is fucked up a little as it doesn't quite provide room to make the exact loincloth as in the first pic.

The pictures you'd posted earlier are not one "model" of GK Termie, in the sense that between the first plain gray one and the orange and purple termies there are variations in the build. This could make the reverse-building process harder, but if you want your daemon-stomper by all means go for it. If there's problems with replicating the termie exactly, you could also easily just wing it and do whatever you'd like to complete the model.

Good luck getting him on your desk!

Anyone know what pieces are used for the fingers and the dark gray part that attaches the fingers to the hand? I can't find them on Bricklink and can't remember which sets I've seen them in.
>>
>>5426666
It sucks, especially on bricklink, all the prices are in EUR at the same amount it would be in Canada, so if I try to quote something in bricklink, not only am I paying more for the set than I can get in my local Walmart, but then I'd have to pay shipping on top.

Also, them quads

Dude as a shipfag myself. I will never question the wafu way again. You seriously made my night. It's gonna go right next to my strike cruiser.

Close enough is good enough. I was planning on modding it anyway. And it's a thousand percent more than I could have done on my own. If I read Spanish correctly, & I don't, the orange and purple ones came first and the great knight was done later. That would explain the changes.

You did all the hard work. Thank you again anon. You rock.

Here are past villains from my universe. Brief bios cause I'm lame. From left to right-
Ghost- blatant Crimson Ghost knockoff, longest reign of terror thus far, likely deceased but no body found.
Ahab- ocd assassin who stops at nothing to eliminate his prey, incarcerated.
Parasite- outer space entity that drains hosts of powers, deceased.
The Alchemist- bad bitch from another universe, unknowingly leads to the creation of Meltdown, deceased.
Pre-mechanical Meltdown- former heroic hypochondriac who's fear of death took a villainous turn.

Or you could stop being a faggot. $30 for a stage and what amounts to an $8 lego set isn't acceptable pricing and that's half the reason the game is on sale fucking everywhere. Even people who like the game admit the pricing is fucking horrible.
>>
>>5427353
Haha fucking poorfag!!

Nah just kidding, the prices are fucking trash.

Luckily I have Gaymers club from best buy so I get discounts on them. $6 each fun pack right now.

The $30 for a level pack are shitty, but amazon dropped the price down to $23 for me and I also happen to enjoy the game so it's not all bad.

I'm hoping future sets will be cheaper because nobody was buying them at original msrp. Literally the blunder of 2015.
>>
>>5427429
I think Amazon's price points for the sets are about what I'm willing to pay honestly. Around $20 for a Level Pack, $15-18 for Team Packs, and $8 for the Fun Packs. It feels around about right for the amount of content you're getting out of them.

I get the feeling though, even with pretty much every major chain trying to clearance the damn things out, Lego aren't going to get the message and they'll continue to insist on the original price points despite it pretty much holding the entire line back.

Rather than create something totally new, pick some object that you can get decent photo references for (e.g. your favorite model of car) and try to replicate it in Lego.
>>
>>5427443
not trying to be a dick but, this is incomprehensible to me; here Lego's always been about building my own stuff. I have a few shelves full of MOCs and zero set builds kicking around..

Since you've got your stuff sorted you could try this - find instructions for some set you like and build it in different colors, then modify it. Build a car, give it a spoiler and bigger tires. Make it a station wagon or whatever. Take off the wheels and put on wings and jet engines. End up with something cool and original, do that a bunch of times and you'll end up building cool and original shit from scratch.

I'm talking mostly about the people who exclusively collect SW LEGO stuff.

Because those types of people come off as being stuck in a weird place; They want to be part of the LEGO community by going to the different LEGO conventions and whatnot, but they don't really seem to want to be known as LEGO fans or AFOLs. They want to be known as SW fans.

Also, have you even watched any of that guy's videos? The guy pictured in >>5428018?

This guy has the same setup as most SW collectors. He shows off his collection in a few videos, and its like, 5-10 copies of each set just piled on shelves in a huge clusterfuck. As expansive as SW is within LEGO, there are still a finite amount of sets out there, so they just seem to buy the same sets over and over and over again just so they're still building sets. Because practically the only other thing to do when you have that much money I guess, is amass Clone Troopers or Stormtroopers into huge rows like that.

Also, there are lots of teeny-boppers collecting SW LEGO, and outside of them, I have never heard the term "TFOL" (Teen Fan Of LEGO) thrown around. It's like they don't want the "stigma" of being an AFOL, but they also don't want to be "a kid playing with LEGOs" so they coined their own cutesy term for it.

Sorry, but if you're 18-19 and you're buying LEGO, you're still an AFOL, and if you're younger than 18, you're "LEGO's intended audience."

$6.00 each from Best Buy. I saved like $150 when I first got Dimensions and some figs I like. Really the best deal besides some Amazon Prime sales.

I have most of series 1 but skipping ninja go and sinew DC stuff. Have Zane and Wonder Woman, but will skip Cyborg, Harley, Aquaman, Joker but will probably get Bane for Memes and because he has that classic Animated style.

Some of the mini builds are really fantastic like the Ecto1 and Back to the Future train. Also the Simpsons TV. It actually had a printed cassette tape that's hidden under blocks to emulate a VCR.

Also Bad Cops' car looks like a way better batmobile than batman's.

AND lastly the DeLorean and hover board are fantastic.

Brilliant, but I'd probably have redesigned the head as well.

One thing I don't like about the King's Mech is the sword-hand. It looks like it's holding the sword rather gingerly, rather than properly gripping it tight. I guess it's because the fingers are splayed out, but if you change that part they probably can't get enough reach to go around the hilt at all.

>are you bloody daft? Ain't no nigger have anything like that guy. Not even "star wars fans"

They do, really. They just have collections of varying sizes and degrees. They generally all tend to look the same, though: Piles of the same vehicle stacked on top of each other on a shelf, in a huge mess.

>Didn't know there was a theme with infinite sets. Please tell us more about this.

Certainly! Most people who are fans of LEGO collect stuff of all themes, and LEGO has made dozens and dozens of themes over the decades. There's a lot to like, whether it's Space, or Pirates, or Castle, Super Hero stuff, or even other IPs they've done like Chima, Ninjago, and the new Nexo Knights.

Most SW collectors don't see that stuff, though. They exclusively buy SW sets, and that's all they see. Instead of branching out into other themes for those cool sets, designs, and minifigures, they'd rather just buy multiple copies of the same set, because it is still Star Wars.

And I'm not even talking about LEGO updating certain sets/vehicles every 3, 4, 5 years or whatever. I'm talking about straight-up buying tons of the same exact set for no real reason other than it says "Star Wars" on it.

>You are just trying to justify to yourself that you are "less weird" then other people who share your passion.

Not justifying anything, but cool assumptions, bro. Just wondering why people can't branch out beyond their narrow view of LEGO of one theme.

If anything, I want people to share in my passion more, and explore other great stuff LEGO puts out.

You must be one of these shallow SW fans I am talking about, though.

Buy sets from some other themes, sometime. They're fun!

>>Not understanding the concept of "finite" and "infinite"

No, I understand the concept, and yes, it is an exaggeration to say infinite obviously, but there are a hell of a lot more "not Star Wars" sets on a shelf at any given time, than actual SW sets on the shelf. I was hoping that you could pick up that I was being facetious, but obviously, you need things spelled out.

Point is, there are always way more LEGO sets available at any given time than SW. Once you guys buy and build the newest wave, you're hungrily looking forward to what's coming 5-6 months down the road, and rebuy all the sets you already have over and over to fill the void.

>I buy what I want, and for me it is much easier to buy Star Wars rather then the flavour of the year theme.

Ahahahah. I didn't actually expect you to be a SW fan. I just thought you were defending the variety in LEGO and backing those who collect SW exclusively.

Now I understand your butthurt more.

>I'll always proudly display my custom star wars ships but all these temporary themes are destined for parts bins sooner or later. Just look at your own collection you know it to be true.

>Non SW fans can't ever do MOCs or Customs.

Sorry, I don't usually buy pleb sets anyway. I rarely buy sets under $100, and anything under $50 I pretty much see as parts and minifigure packs.

The irony in all this is that I also think a lot of the bigger SW sets are actually really cool, but I also enjoy things outside of one theme because I don't have tunnel vision.

Little gap that didn't need to e covered, but it looks better with the tape. I don't have any spare blue stickers so I guess it's not purist. Structurally it makes no difference. It just looked weird having two little nostrils on the top surface due to the way the slit in the nose is achieved

My childhood legos are long gone. But now I've started to crave to build something, robots, vehicles, spaceships and something of that sort mostly.
Buying someones old collection from ebay (or my countrys equivalent) sounds tempting, as it would be way cheaper than buying several individual kits myself. But it'd be pretty hit and miss in terms of the parts, right?

I "collect" SW Lego, I'll buy a repeat if it interests me or is better than the set I already have. I have limited display space so I happily retire sets to storage and put new stuff up.

I'm getting into doing some custom building and I do grab things from other Lego lines that interest me. I have the entire recent Pirate and Castle lines, for example, and King's Mountain Fortress from my childhood is still on display. I've never been to a Lego convention but I'd love to go and see what others have made and possibly find some local friends in the community, without having to pay dues and do gruntwork like this area's LUG requires of new members.

I have a small Stormtrooper army (20) and they aren't displayed in file on an empty baseplate.

I'm going to back off because I realize I was being a shit earlier, dude. So, I apologize.

You're right. SW collectors aren't all the same, and fans of other themes, and eve LEGO as a whole really owes a lot to the SW license. They might not even be around (or might not still be as big as they are) without it.

Most of my judgement was coming from watching YT SW collectors, and you're right. It's wrong of me to judge like that. Especially since a lot of the LEGO YTers, not just the SW collectors, are kinda shitty to begin with. A lot of them are resellers, scalpers, or they just buy everything up with the intent to part it all out, which is lame.

So it really isn't fair to me to say those things about SW collectors. I just wish more of them saw LEGO as a whole, and not just for the SW stuff.

At the same time, I don't really feel like it is fair for you to talk about how some themes are only around for a short amount of time. I mean, sure some are only around for a little while, but many have been around for a very long time, or come back every now and then for a renewal.

So, all of that said, I am sorry anon.

Now, let's all get back to building some awesome shit!

Yeah, but this is the Mall of America. Like, the biggest (or one of the biggest) Malls in North America. People from all over the world come here.

Its 4 levels, and each level is waaaaaay bigger than a normal mall. It has an amusement park in it even.

And their Pick a Brick wall changes constantly. But the build-a-minifig selection is kinda ass.
