Apparently Toys R Us is getting better with amiibo. My co-workers proceeded to rub this in my face because they live off their relatives and can spend their whole check on toys while I have to support people.

If anything goes on clearance, it's a vote of no confidence in the line.

It won't be as bad for Mega because they're relatively fast moving, but given that Yoshi clogged shelves like crazy and Diddy/Donkey clogged as 2.5"s, Target's probably lost some faith. They literally cannot tell when one character sells faster than another, nor do they care, they don't even have an idea of which wave it is.

Even though this figure requires a stand to do any pose, I don't mind. It's nice that they made that as DLC, but I think I'll keep Mario in a standing still pose.

Today at my local wallmart I saw this disaster
their where a lot of broken and scratched figures, some had their parts completely missing and packaging removed, their where a lot more broken but I only took 2 pictures, the wallmart boxes we're a horrible idea, tons of ruined merchandise, does anyone know what they do with the broken figures? do they toss them away? or send then back to manufacturer somehow?

(also on a related note I found a single toon link shield on the floor but no toon link in sight, I simply pocketed it, was that bad?)

Ive worked at walmart before and all that stuff gets pretty much junked. its put in a bin and then a guy scans em out as damaged and then they are packed in a box and sent away. (not via trashcan FYI)

Good morning. I have recently got some spending money, and I am interested in purchasing Amiibos. I bought a Dr. Mario one last week, and it has surprisingly great quality. I really like it.

These in pic related are the ones I am planning on buying.
I just want to know -- is there one best place to buy them from? I looked at the TRU, Walmart, GameStop, Best Buy, and Target ads, and none have a deal for Amiibos, except for TRU, but their website only shows the first wave of them - and there are none there that I want. Also, is there anyway to get KK Slider individually?

Oh, and does anyone own the Mr Game & Watch one? I think it's awesome that it comes with different poses, but I'm a bit worried as to where I'll store the other pieces when they're not being displayed. My current apartment is pretty small, and I have a lot of stuff on display already, so I'm running out of room to even store things.

One of the keychain things under "Small Accessories". They have a Lapras one for $2.99. If you don't want that they also have a pack of Pokemon cards for like $3.99. Personally I bought the Magikarp and Gyarados keychains for like $6 or so to get the free shipping.

You can't order them online, but you can check the find a store option to see where they are around you.

The 'check a store' is mostly useless.
DPCI code for 4" is the same no matter which wave it is, same with 2.5". So essentially, you could look, see the one you want is listed as 'in stock' at the store near you, then go and find out 'oh, no, it's just Yoshi and Toad'.

Finally found a Fox in Canadaland. Also looks like there was a restock of Metroids. There were two left if any Torontonian's are still looking for one I'll share the location.

It's extremely work in progress at this point, but here's Midna. The helmet's just a kneaded eraser as the naked head's pegged into the stand, eventually I'll sculpt something with actual detail(assuming I don't just steal the head off the Amiibo). I've got some thicker hips in the works, but the Monster High Mega Blocks aren't awful. Stole the arms off a Mega Bloks Halo, cut down the detailing, then swapped forearm and bicep for better poseability.

Now watch Jakks announce a 2.5" of her.
