In case you haven't been following along too, some of the "Forgotten Eight" from the first Skylanders game are returning as brand new Eon's Elite this year. Currently, Zook and Voodood are released, Slam next week. The next 3 are supposed to come out in December, although there was no word on if they'd be exclusive to TRU like the first ones are.

My money's on Grievous and Phasma getting figures. They might pull a Yondu/Antman with Mace Windu, but I don't expect it. JV has been cryptic when asked about C3PO and R2D2, but I think they'll decide they're too cars-like and just make Sheev.

For console, you have to have the power discs. On the PC and mobile versions of the game, you can unlock the costumes with sparks along with every other power disc.

Sadly, you have to unlock them with sparks since you can only use your physical disks on the console versions.

I'm on Wii U, so I do need the disks. I hope they're not too expensive or region locked, since They don't have blindbags anymore where I live. Picked up some minifigs for Lego Dimensions by using my brother's staff discount. I haven't got the game thought since I only bought the ones I wanted. Should I take the cash plunge and grab the full game or should I just stick to just the ones I want.

Hexagonal discs work for as long as they're on the pad or another hex is put on in the case of terrains.

Round power discs depend. Costumes and special effects (extra exp, more sparks) work for as long they're under a character, but ability discs have a short recharge period before you can use them.

Nothing in Disney infinity is region locked, so Ebay would probably be the best place to get loose discs. Where do you live exactly?

Honestly I'm not terribly impressed with the game. If you like the other Lego games, you'll know what you're getting into but the paywalls are kind of annoying.

That said, the fanservice and animation is all pretty cool. Like all the characters from the movie actually act like stop motion lego instead of the cartoony lego (like their waists don't bend and their arms have only the swivel articulation).
I recommend buying only figures you like, and if you see the game on a discount or a black friday special you can consider it then.

LEGO Dimensions is really fucking bare-bones, including expansion levels. Each $30 expansion is about the equivalent of a single level from any prior lego game. So if you don't mind spending 30 bucks for 30 minutes of gameplay, go ahead.

Honestly I have no interest in the game. I just want the Portal and BttF minibuilds. For the $100 the starter pack costs, you can get the entire Star wars Saga, Marvel Super Heroes, and Jurassic Park, so it's just not a good value.

Well the bags are totally random. There's no codes or imprints and it's impossible to tell one power disc from the other just with touch. If you had the Vita version, you could use the bluetooth pad to scan the bags, but it'll be cheaper and easier to get a lot from a website then get the specific individual discs. Orange and Red discs will generally be more expensive since they're less common, especially the Toys R Us exclusives.

And there's no alternate costume for Star Lord.

Yes, costume discs are circular.

You can try to find the packs themselves - they're on sale at a few places since stores are trying to clear out stock. But it might be easier to just buy the disc directly from Ebay if you wany it guaranteed.

If you like Lego video games (like me), then yes it's definitely worth getting. However, I'm a huge Doctor Who fanatic so I may be a bit biased.

If you want a sampling of what you're in for, download the pc version of 3.0. It lets you play the toy box for free and sample some random characters.

Personally I'd say stick to the PC since you can get all the characters and playsets without paying the $20-30 for the base software and it's way more convenient to switch characters ingame rather than physically move them from the base. The only shitty part is that you can't play it without a constant internet connection and you can't redeem your power discs from 1.0 and 2.0.

The paint job on my mewtwo sucks, there was like a weird splotch under his eye I couldn't get rid of so all I could do was lead pencil in some more eyeshadow to conceal it.

Although the Wii U is more powerful than the ps3, the gamepad screen eats up a fair amount of processing power, so they're evened out.

For me, the best version is PC, since it plays just like the console games, but you can buy the power discs in game with sparks. If you want local multiplayer though, then go Wii-U.

I plan on getting Lottie at Target when she comes out. It'll depend on how the Wave 2 guys are packaged as for when I'll get them. I wasn't planning on getting Nook but TRU had a 50% off sale when you bought the game, so I just snapped him up. Seems like theres good enough stock I can wait.

Honestly, I'm kind of shocked we've heard nothing of a continuation of the Mario line. The MP10 had Rosalina, Wario and Dong amiibos in standard poses in game (and maybe even for other characters?) yet we've never gotten them.

A new Rosie figure would hopefully drop the price of the smash one. Or they could just reprint her...but as it stands she's one of the more rarer ones because she hasn't really gotten a restock like most of the other figures.

I'm actually kind of surprised we haven't gotten a line of Tennis figures yet either. Daisy and Rosie in their sporty outfits, WAHLUIGI and maybe Boo and Spritize or something.

That's what I'm planning on doing with Dark Hammer Slam Bowser as well since despite being one of the better Hammer Slam Bowsers I've seen, the one I have still needs a bit of a touch-up.

My Shulk was returned to amazon by UPS because the delivery guy was an asshole and wouldn't deliver it when I could be home.

That's to bad, I missed out on his 1st run ,but this last month they restocked my toysrus like 20 deep. He's not even a character I play as, or no much about, but I knew a what are the chances of missing out on him ,so Shulk is now part if my collection. Ebay prices on him are surprisingly not to bad.

Besides the Smash DLC characters, pretty much. As a few have pointed out (and myself) It's kind of shocking there's been no releases of more MP or "World of Nintendo" figures like Boo, Daisy, Waluigi, etc especially with Tennis out.

Maybe if Tennis did well they'd stock more of the Mario ones, but who knows. Plus we still haven't gotten overalls Wario, Rosie and Dong from the MP series either.

With some figures kind of being uncommon, I'm kind of figuring there will be decent restocks with everything sometime soon. The last restock was good but there's still a few guys missing like Pit and Little Mac.
