Anybody here pick up the Disney lightsabers? They're basically Disney's answer to Hasbro's Ultimate FX sabers but they're cheaper and better IMO.

Humming seems more accurate and sensitive as well. They also have a cool saberlock feature when you hold two of them together. And if that wasn't enough rubber gripping is actually used on sabers that would have it, unlike Hasbro's all-plastic hilts, even on gripping areas.

I don't know how Disney manages to offer these for 30 bucks when Hasbro's are 40-60 but I'm really impressed. Going back tomorrow to get Yoda and Kylo.

It's (sadly) the most accurate official ROTJ Luke saber you can get at the moment. Beats the Hasbro version and even the Master Replicas/Force FX version has the wrong soundboard. That's criminal for the original MSRP, let alone the absurd amount those things go for now.

Only problem is the Luke sabers are Disneyland exclusive so you'll have to call and order them unless you want to go the park. The Disney store only carries Vader, Yoda, and Kylo. You can order the Vader and Kylo sabers off their website.

Elite Series General Grievous just arrived and he's bigger than I expected. But with the figuarts announced I'm conflicted as to whether I should open him up and enjoy him until the figuarts comes out, or just keep him packaged and sell him off later. Legit the shittiest plastic on a Hasbro figure. Think the worst recent ML like Ant-Man and then worse. His articulation doesn't work very well. The POA are there, but they don't function well enough to actually do anything. The range of motion is hindered and it's just not fun to play with. His legs barely swing forward. Not even 30 degrees. His sculpt looks like a fat stumpy garbage person.

All around no fun. Had a judgment lapse when I saw it but no Phasma and just said fuck it and bought it and absolutely shouldn't have

I ordered off of Amazon and the first one I got, the handle was scratched to hell, with little bronze colored scratches, so I exchanged it for a new one. The new one still has small scratches on the handle, but they blend in a bit more with the metal since they're not deep enough to appear red, but the blade is a bit wobbly. I decided to just live with it since I'm primarily just going to mount it on my wall as a decoration.

TLDR: Don't pay 300 dollars in the aftermarket for it because chances are if you have toy OCD like I do, you'll be disappointed.

I've handled Hot Toys, but I've never owned one though. I'm planning to get the Luke Skywalker as a first though. Just to see if I personally think they're worth it.

I can tell you that some are amazing for the price, and some are not so fresh. The likenesses can be amazing, which now that I think about it, helmeted characters like stormtroopers and Phasma won't be getting face sculpts. Huh. Just depends on what you want out of a figure. They've got pretty good articulation, great head sculpts, and great outfits.

Picked up the Black Series Tie Fighter at Target earlier this week,

It's so impractically huge that the play options are pretty limited, you can't really comfortably swoosh it around the house (doesn't stop me from doing it every day though, haha), takes up a ton of space, and yet I can't help but smile whenever I see it chilling in the living room.

The elite pilot figure is also deadly cool, can't wait for the standard pilot single pack release so I can fill both seats in the TIE.

I paid 20 bucks for this small part, to put it into perspective I paid only 50 bucks for the Turbo Tank itself. The tank, however, was missing the barrel to the top-center gun and I've been on the look out for one ever since (several years now).

Dang it feels great to finally have a complete Turbo Tank. I wish I hadn't had to spend so much on one part, but all told I still spent well under MSRP for a vehicle that'll probably never be released again, so I'm quite happy!

The only issue I have with the Mafex is the shoulder armor, with it being connected to the torso instead of the arms. I guess I could modify it though. They look much more realistic than the Revo, less anime inspired.

Dear anons, I tried my best to resist it because I kept telling myself I didn't need to spend the money, but I now know I need a Vader for my SHF Luke to battle. For 3.75, this is the best figure of Grievous. Taller than any ROTS rendition, the cape is pretty good, and has little pockets for you to put lightsaber hilts into them. The arms can split four ways, combine again. Trully fucking awesome for a 3.75 inch.

or find some repack of this for cheaper if you can.

Finally, there's also the Pre-Cyborg Grievous, not exactly what you are looking for but he is pretty cool also, worth checking out.

Most of Hasbro's amazing sculpts even in the 1:18th range are mostly thanks to 3d face scans.
For faces that are seen only in two dimensonal 30 year old photographs and moving pictures, that requires a artist to interpret that into 3d and it's very hard to do. There's literally a ton of failed Luke/20yearoldMarkHamil sculpts out there even from high priced statueshit and dolls, yet i think it's funny that Hasbro has produced the best likenesses thanks to the fact that they've made tens of thousands of sculpts for Luke/youngHamil over the decades
