October Challenges:
Come up with new challenges please
First.
>>5194299
I'd like to nominate Designer (not Creator!) and its sub-derivative, Inventor, for extra cosy themes.
Those instruction booklets were something I really enjoyed looking at, because besides an idea model or two you got the models actually being shown doing stuff with neat backgrounds, or even little stories in the case of Robobots.
Challenge suggestion; Create a monster that'd make a mean ride, or make a mean ride for a monster. Alternatively, create a vignette or display where monster hunters or innocent bystanders spar with spooks.
October challenge: Make the spookiest skeleton
>>5194299
October Challenge: Make something very spoopy with skeletons. It doesn't really matter what, it just has to involve a LOT of skeletons
>>5194320
>>5194322
make the boob plates rahkshi heads for old time's sake
Fallout 4 comes out early november perhaps a fallout inspired challenge would be good for october.
>>5194299
October challenge suggestion: build a mad scientist's lab since Halloween is near!
>it's leaks season and TLG is sending out C&Ds left and right
>build a scene showing your favourite security force busting into someone's home for posting leaks
>>5194333
finally a use for all my Super Secret Police minifigs
>>5194333
Eh, close enough
>>5194320
>>5194322
Good stuff man. Thought is there any particular reason why you deleted the posts?
>>5194323
LDD doesn't have rahkshi heads as far as I know.
>>5194299
Why can't we have cool stuff like this anymore?
Why is Lego suddenly hateful of yellow figures?
>>5194378
It's what the retarded fanbase wants.
>>5194406
Shut up grandpa, your kin derailed too many threads and too many people wasted time explaining why your standpoint is nothing but misguided nostalgia and you don't even look at modern Lego before making dumbass comments
>>5194406
Because they don't make as much money as licensed themes.
>>5194406
>City is yellow
>CMF are yellow
>all original action themes save for bonkles are yellow, with at least 3 running at a time, just like the norm always was
Christ, shut up
>>5194299
October challenge: Make up your own B-movie and create a scene from it
>>5194406
The world became a less gentle place :(
Guys im gonna play with my lego tomorrow what should i build.
A robot?
A Speeder Bike?
A Spaceship?
Somethin' else?
>>5194299
>>Current proposals for October Challenges:
>Halloween is near! Build a suitable hideout for horror minifig of your choice to celebrate.
>Time Cruisers / Time Twisters: great theme or greatest theme? Design an original set for whatvis arguably Lego's greatest triumph!
>Make up your own B-movie and create a scene from it!
>Create a monster that'd make a mean ride, or make a mean ride for a monster. Alternatively, create a vignette or display where monster hunters or innocent bystanders spar with spooks.
>Make the spookiest skeleton
>Make something very spoopy with skeletons. It doesn't really matter what, it just has to involve a LOT of skeletons
>Fallout 4 comes out early november perhaps a fallout inspired challenge would be good for october.
>Build a mad scientist's lab since Halloween is near!
>Build a scene showing your favourite security force busting into someone's home for posting leaks
>>5194202
Suuuurrrre it is.
https://youtu.be/X8oaVoT9KqY
>>5194424
I like the B-movie idea.
>>5194439
A robot that turns into a space bike.
>>5194311
>Designer
aw shit son
>>5194311
aww yiss
series 15 is about 2 1/2 months away and no list is out? Lego and their secrets.....
>>5194450
Terrifying/10
I actually had these folks lying around for about a year before Gor et al. started posting the wojtus. When they first showed up in /lg/ I was a little worried that somebody would think I had stolen their idea.
Man, it's the last day of the month and I haven't done anything for the Paradisa challenge yet.
>>5194541
I blame Hiroyuki.
how do you like my legendaries?
>>5194573
>Aquasharks
Mein neger
Lego Ilithid.
>>5194579
I want this because
Medusa.
Gnoll
>>5194579
>>5194582
>>5194589
These rock
>>5194589
>>5194582
>>5194581
And my new PC. Hula Macalister.
>>5194668
The party is ready to get into the dungeon!
>>5194668
Would Snoo snoo.
Also, going to post the Halloween Contest rules tomorrow afternoon/evening EST depending on how long my work day is.
>>5194668
And my take on her
>>5194344
Where in the hell can I get a Hitler minifigure? I want it.
>>5194710
Oh damn that's cute
Great movie, fun Mixels. Overall a good Wednesday night.
>>5194894
How do you feel about 2 tops and only 1 bottom rock parts?
>>5194969
Indifferent. I have no intention of taking these guys apart.
>>5194894
Kamm gets a lot more posable if you switch the joints in his arms and take out the trans-red studs above them.
>Mixen Lagann.png
>>5195061
Kramm*
Does the Kylo Ren minifigure have a face under his mask?
>>5195081
No, but he does have another mask.
Any tips for building circular patterns like for say a lighthouse?
>>5194894
>>5195061
However, the Klinkers remain the best mixels of the year, with Jinky's superior poseability.
>I've decapitated this chainsaw and I'm not afraid to use it!
>>5195081
Just looks like this. Kylo fig is best fig.
>>5195086
Like these?
It's October! Post skellingtons!
>>5195214
For those who have it, what do you think of Dimensions, /lg/?
Is lego white mega pure white or bone white? I cant' tell if I need to peroxide clean a thing.
Found this in an old lego magazine the other day
>>5195214
>>5195313
I prefer the purple Gorm, even though this one has Kek Powerizers.
>tfw water on mars got me jonesing for life on mars sets
I couldn't resist dropping some money on one of these, hope the life on mars sets are as fun as I remember them being!
>>5194894
Really liking the builder tribe's designs, the purple guys look meh but the max is great.
>>5195214
>>5195313
>60 dollars
shit nigga
>>5195330
Life on Mars was great. It's the last "friendly space explorer theme we've gotten isn't it?
>>5194572
That's awesome, are they all based off WoW? How did you do the glaives?
>>5195411
Yeah theyre all from wow. The warglaives are a bit unsturdy. The gun piece is for gripping. Ive played with other designs but this is the one im most satisfied with.
>>5195550
Awesome, what are each of the weapons? That orange one is hand of sulfuras, atiesh? the bow from sunwell?
>>5195313
Because I felt it needed it.
>>5195214
Hello. I haven't been here in a while, hope everyone is doing well.
>>5195388
If you don't count the current City spacecraft sets, then yeah. It was the only series with friendly aliens, technically - later we got Mars Mission which was pretty much a gritty reboot of the LoM aliens and semi-realistic astronauts, SPIII and Galaxy Squad.
I don't count Alien Conquest because it's pretty much a pulp theme like Pharaoh Quest and Monster Fighters rather than a space theme.
>>5195388
The sets were hit and miss for me, but this mech, the blue one and the tan thing you could make out of the second biggest Martian vehicle were all rather good - better than most of Exo-Force mechs, imo. For me, they were only surpassed recently by the Ninjago samurai mech (and its ghost remake from this summar) when it comes to official mech builds.
First monster fighters, then scooby doo. Do you think Lego will continue the spooky theme in some way?
>>5195869
Ninjago had ghosts and skeletons and presumably gets some more next year.
We'll probably see something like MH in a few years as the standard one wave only theme they do in the summer wave considering there's a pattern to them, seemingly. And it's guaranteed we'll get many more monsters in CFM, there's at least one every two series.
>>5195214
are these made of hard plastic or is it that kind of flexible rubbery material like the medusa/ninjago snake tails?
>>5195882
It's a soft plastic, but not the same one as the tails, it's less rubber-y.
Would a space theme free of faction conflict work today?
>>5195895
City has a space subtheme, so the answer is probably yes, even though conflict/faction-free space themes were oddities in Lego's history after Classic Space (the exceptions were Mars Mission, M-Tron and Ice Planet - maybe Exploriens and Insectoids too, but iirc Insectoids fought each other and Exploriens were fighting UFO, most other space themes had different versions of Blacktron and/or Spyrius as villains)
Knights of NEXO
>>5195909
kinda disapointing that with an evil jester as a villain they went with this boring lava motif for the enemy stuff
>>5194406
Every non-licensed set has yellow figures. Plus Lego Movie and The Simpsons.
Man, I'm enjoying the hell out of Lego Dimensions. Really glad this game didn't suck!
>>5195324
I thought it was cute...
>>5195909
>Knights are composed of OCs rather than an infantry with the occasional soldier with cooler armor and a unique name.
Will we ever see the return of glorious fantasy era?
>>5195909
I'm probably gonna get every set in this line. The concept is pretty damn appealing, let's hope the execution is done well.
Let's get groovy!
>>5195949
Oh my, it's beautiful.
>>5195949
>01
post more
>>5195954
Thanks!
>>5195955
Alright
>>5195962
>>5195962
This is so cool, the muscles are really well realized.
Fin
He stands up fine. However, it's obvious that mixel joints aren't strong enough for this build size, but Jim skipped leg day so that's what I had to work with.
>>5195971
Hehe, now you HAVE to make a Psy-Crow and Princess Whatshername.
>>5195975
Welcome back to /toy/, anon! It's cool to ask questions here.
>how much would this cost to build
This would depend on the rarity of the specific pieces he used, and
>would there be a tutorial or brick list somewhere online?
This model was designed by that anon who posted it. He might help you out, but MOCs elsewhere on the Internet rarely ever have tutorials; it's not that they're being assholes, it's just that it's unnecessary work unless enough people ask for it.
>>5195909
So this is a new show on CN as well along with Ninjago and Chima?
>>5195909
Interesting.
Wonder how much money Lego is spending on series next year. Even Bonkle is getting a Netflix-series
>>5195909
>retailer catalog highlights collectible NEXO POWERS
>new shield pieces have QR-like markings along the edges
>guaranteed multimedia support
Looks like we're getting an interactive mobile game with this theme. Interesting to see them progress from the Ultra Agents app bricks.
>>5195909
>tfw a fellow anon got fired because of leaking nexo knights
>tfw it pops up a few weeks later in a kids mag
Let us mourn our lost brother.
>>5194542
Naaah Wojtuś is actualy the maskot of our Lego shop- I designed it and kids love it. I made him whole family and friends and when we have birtdays I tell stories about WOJTeam.
>>5196013
Yep. There will be an app where you can scan the shields and it gives something called Nexo Powers. There are 3 unique shields in each Ultinate set.
>>5195975
I have no idea what any of my mocs actually costs. This one contains 661 pieces so you could probably calculate a rough estimate from that and then add upwards to 50% depending on what sellers you end up buying from. I only needed 2 or 3 semi-rare pieces this time, so it wasn't too bad.
Latest minifig display cut and test fitted.
>>5196128
That's beautiful. What size are the slots? Can Woody or Medusa fit?
>>5196139
those slots are only standard minifig size (32mmx50mmx25mm) the larger display boxes I have have slots for taller figs, bit not deep ones like medusa or mermaid unfortunately
>>5196148
and now its full of bootleg iron man minifigs.
>>5195909
theme of the year
>>5196193
Tell me you have official suits in thee where applicable.
>>5195929
Did you actually look at the older leaks? There are at least two types of rank-and-file knights for the good guys if not more (tiny robot knight and dude who looks like Man-at-Arms form He-Man in blue), and only 4 or 5 named ones, much like Fantasy era had 4 or 5 "characters" per side (king, queen, princess, golden knight and jester for the good guys, evil wizard, troll king and shaman and skelly knight for the bad ones), technically there's not much of a difference.
>>5195949
Grymt bra jobbat
>>5196199
Yeah there are 3 or 4 official ones in there too
>>5196193
...who the fuck cares about Iron Man to such a degree to get so many of them? He's among the most bland "mainstream" superheroes
>>5196299
I also have small collection of Ironman suit minifigs
I think they are
fun
>>5194668
>>5194710
I want her to cuddle me in her strong womanly arms while she whispers sweet nothings to me in her Viking language.
>>5196299
some of those look to be Vision, War machine and iron patriot
>>5194441
good suggestions anon
Anyone out there still in need of Dimensions build guides?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHQVGsmGXZI
>>5196299
Well, a lot of people. The chinese bootleggers are making bank with all the units that they are selling. Why do you think that exist all those repaints in first place?
Lego and Marvel are losing millions because they are so rigid with the licences and shit, finally all this only benefits to China.
I recently got one of these, and now I want to make Lego mechs with space for pilots. Unfortunately, I have all the creativity of a brick.
In spite of that, I want to try making my own, but I lack a lot of the parts. Are there any sets or anything that just come with a load of handy parts for that kind of thing?
>>5196414
mixels and creature/mech focused creator sets
Dear /legg/
Is there some kind of app (I'm thinking like a QR reader) where you can scan a piece/pieces and have the closest color match come up? I'm trying to separate my light greys and light bleys, and sometimes it's pretty near impossible until the thing's put together - but my eyes aren't what they used to be.
>>5196419
No such software exists, sorry. Light conditions are so variable it wouldn't have been feasible for it to exist anyway.
Do you know anyone, any friends whom you know to have better eyes for colors than you? They could help.
Alternately, you could put together a chunk of old grey and a chunk of light bley and just stack pieces onto them to check the colors.
>>5196015
Idiot taking pics of his easy-to-recognize-hands holding the catalog...
mfw
>someone bought two stud minigun barrels, but not the triggers from my store
It's always fun to look at the orders and wonder what the guy will use the parts for.
And then there's stuff like this. I honestly can't think of a single use for the barrels only.
>>5196488
Maybe he got the triggers from somewhere else, but needed more barrels.
I know I had to buy canon bases from a different store that I bought the cannons themselves from.
>>5194311
Fucking this. Designer is the most underrated line there is. As someone who mainly MOCs and barely ever buys sets, these are my favorites. Designer reminds us what lego is all about, as the kits themselves are made to provoke now ideas in builders. I'm scared it'll dissapear at some point.
>>5195131
these are great
>>5195086
this image really helped me a lot in making a castle tower.
I've spent the past couple months or so building some MOCs. Initiating dump.
>>5195388
>>5195330
>>5195781
These were my first lego sets back when I was 6. They have a special place in my heart.
tried going for a Space Marine vibe with this one. Local lego store had some unique pink panels so I wanted to do something with them.
BATTUL BROTHAS!
fuck, stop rotating
>>5196352
Not my suggestions, just a list of all the proposals made by different anons.
Speaking of castles, the only castle set I've owned is the fright knights tower. I wanna get a proper castle now, so I'm asking - whats the best castle out there?
I've beemn eyeing 6086, it looks sick and has 4 knights!
>>5196549
but I did rotate them you fuck. No matter what I do it posts them sideways.
Welp, Canada Post hit a new low for me today. Pic related finally arrived after 12 days in the system (point of origin is about 4 hours drive from here). 5 bucks (with shipping) and all my patience, guess it's worth it to finish my helicopter...
>>5196558
USPS took 10 days for a 2 min drive
>>5196560
20*
>>5196498
>I'm scared it'll dissapear at some point
Like ten years ago.
>>5196564
Bullshit. Sure it's been marginalized because chimashit and bonkles sell better, but you can still find plenty of new creator sets in LEGO stores, Target, Walmart, ect. not dead yet.
>>5196567
He mentioned Designer, not Creator.
>>5196567
>Creator
What? I thought you were talking about Designer.
>>5196556
Remove EXIF data, THEN rotate.
>>5196488
>It's always fun to look at the orders and wonder what the guy will use the parts for.
I always wonder what BL sellers think about this stuff.
Ordered a singular maraca for this.
>>5196575
thanks, trying this now
>>5196590
http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?M=gen001&name=Skeleton%20with%20Standard%20Skull&category=[%28Other%29]#T=S&O={%22st%22:%224%22,%22ss%22:%22FI%22,%22ii%22:1}
Well, there's this one guy with 400 in stock.
>>5196595
So wait, is he saying he will sell you 400 skels for $1.50? That cant be right.
Hohoho fellow toy soldiers! It's that time of the year ag... Wait it's only October..? I'm early? Oh sorry, wait what's THAT?!? OH GOD! NO! PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN! Ahhhhhh...
>>5196613
You HAVE to buy them in the lots of 100, and they cost $1.50 for a single one.
>>5196616
lel
>>5196616
Well then. Moving on now...
Happy Halloween fellow /toy/ soldiers! So I have three of these polybags and they can be yours!
All you have to do is from now until the 22nd is make a Spooky MOC! Can be anything related to Halloween. Rules are you must email me a picture of your MOC with a piece of paper showing the date of your email and your email addy. Next you must post a picture of your MOC in the LEGO General as the point of my contests are always for original content.
'and that's it. I'll pick my three favorites and they'll each win one of the polybags. Anyone can enter and contest will end on the 22nd.
Good luck!
>>5196625
>mfw no MOC parts and I don't want to pull any of my complete stuff apart
>no Dimensions in my country
>fug
>cave in and import from neighboring country
>actually cheaper than resellers here
oh well
>>5196704
also made these
>next Mixels wave
>'Law enforcement' tribe??
>Im gonna make my own 2edgy "fuck the popo" mixels
and so Kapo, Krip and Dindu came to be
>>5194572
Really like the mase/hammer
I got a nice bonus today because apparently I didn't take enough sick leave in the last year, so I finally got the Detective's Office that I'd been lusting over since it was first announced.
This is by far the largest set I've ever bought or received. Pretty excited.
I think I'm done with this for now until more.predominantly white sets are released.
>>5196704
I hope they do more Portal stuff.
>FINALLY find the smaller Speed Champions sets at TRU
>19.99 cad
Yeah, nah.
Dimensions or an RPG with Classic characters and CMF
>>5196828
dat tyre grip
how do you flatten lego baseplates? i bought the lego dimensions set and my baseplate came slightly bent so it doesnt stick to the portal.
>>5197094
Apply heat, or go to the Lego website and fill out a part replacement form to get a new one.
>>5197094
I have heard of putting things between your box-spring and mattress. That could fix it. If it looks like it might be melted or something you could maybe re-heat it on a flat surface.
>>5197091
This is the final drift.
>>5196414
I'm in the same boat brudda, all i want to do is build a customized speeder for my shiddy tatooine moc.
>mfw I have every star wars set I want
>mfw I have no spare pieces
>mfw I don't want to disassemble the sets that i have for extra pieces
>mfw I gave 25 years of legos to the neighbors kid (he loves them, even shows me what me makes)
I remember when I was a kid I built all types of weird shit, now that i'm older legos are a form of mediation. drink whiskey, relax, mindlessly follow the instructions and observe the complete product.
>i'm a basic bitch now
>>5196809

Glorious! I'd like to see your other builds, and that subtle ass detail gave me the best chuckle.
>>5196015
That actually happened? I feel sad for him as I was enthused with seeing what Nexo had in store in terms of designs but his hands, shoes and the store's laminate floor wasn't the brightest of
of ideas.
>>5196537
Im quite amazed that balances.
>>5196549
I'm sute if 4chan had a preview feature before post this would be avoided. Its impossible to tell when posting from mobile devices usually.
>>5196581
I often think this too, I often feel obliged as a buyer to inform them if they ever enquired. Do you have or sell the LDD file for this anon? Everytime I see your lady posted or on the legocarblog I think to myself 'one day...'... When the missus is away. The maracca made me giggle when I spotted it.
>>5196704
Love Chell, Gimli and the upcoming Marshmallow Man but not £30 each love.

>>5196551
Anyone?
>>5197550

>>5197549
>Please tell me that
>triple barrel bayonet chainsaw laser cannon have a name!?
you'll have to ask LegoQuest, i stole it from his mining quest a while ago.
>>5197549
Jesus Christ. You just have to reply to every little thing, don't you?
>>5196397
I doubt the total volume of the bs mall/chinabootleg fig have even REMOTELY cost LEGO that much money.
I'm thinking of getting a bunch of garbage pail kids cards and cmfs to give out for halloweeners?
Good idea or bad idea?
I'm already dreading how ridiculously overpriced Dimensions are here.
I saw one online store have the Portal-pack for 35€.
>>5197683
I was tempted by the Chell figure, but yeah it's too expensive. I'll just wait for lego to release a Portal line.
>found pic related from the closet
>still sealed
>have no need for it, or the parts
>no one would probably buy it sealed, especially since shipping costs here are insane
>the parts themselves are nothing special, even if I managed to sell them, I'd make probably 2€ profit or something
God, I honestly don't know what I should do with this fucking thing
https://twitter.com/netflix/status/649585393176678400
>>5197737
Tiny turbos were a nice source of parts, especially in metallic silver (according to bricklink, it's got 1 engine part and 3 grill tiles).
Too bad they discontinued them.
>>5197742
So Bonkle and what's the other one?
>>5197745
Friends
>>5197743
They had some chrome pieces initially too, mostly those grills (I still have 4 or 5, they're more resilent than any other chrome piece I ever had...). That wave with glow in the dark pieces was good for parts too.
>>5197745
Friends
Nexo Knights is getting a cartoon too but it'll air on the same channels as Ninjago does instead of being a Netflix thing.
>>5197675
Great Idea if you have alot of money.

>>5197550

>>5197488
>get the promo polybag made to compliment it
Which one is that?
>>5197742
>trash on a trashy service
makes sense
>>5197550
I have that castle, built if you want pics or something. Not sure all of my knights are in place with it since I was collecting my legos from all around the house to make a list what is lost/broken.
>>5197549
Cool car.
>>5197550
I always thought this castle was generic, along with most of 1992's offerings, but it's probably one of the most complete castles out there.
The Royal Knights castle is big, but always looked awkward to me.
Who /customminifig/ here?
>>5197971
its more custom than minifig now anon, best to put it out of its misery before it ends up like the joker minifig.
>>5198009
>jealous fag
>>5198025
no really anon, if you have to cover over 75% of the minifig with modelling clay or whatever that is then you may was well just make it from scratch, i will admit that its well modelled, but i don't see a point in bothering to keep the minifig features if you put that much work into it.
[spoilerswhenmootwo?]also, im not a fan of anime stuff, so no, not jealous.[/spoilerplsHiro]
>>5197809
Yeah, trash service, pirate bros 4 lyfe, am I right ?
Doctor Who might be revealed this weekend, check Ideas blog
>>5197549
>Do you have or sell the LDD file for this anon?
Honestly I should sell this shit, but my gut fucking hates the concept of paywalls.
https://d.maxfile.ro/brbqdifjmf.lxf
It's pretty dense, has no steering, and the rear end is held together entirely by force of will and a blatant disregard for stud height.
>>5198138
Just give me a lego tardis and I'll be happy.
I've got all the Series 14, plus put all my spooky figs(about 10 maybe) in da haunted house.
It's quite a lot now, I may need another house.

Halloween CFM are an exclusive. A fucking Smyk exclusive. Not sure how Carrefour managed to get them a month ago, maybe they have own distributor, but it seems individual, non-chain stores can't order them. My local one got a mix of random polybags (the Ninjago mech one, the tiger, some Friends stuff) and can't order CFM due to the restriction mentioned above.
I hope it's just the clerk being minsinformed, otherwise Onionland might be entering some new level of distribution hell nxt year (to be fair, this one was pretty bad too: Pirates are exclusive, UA is exclusive, good chunk of Superheroes is exclusive, seemingly Halloween cfm and some SW are exclusive too).

It's pretty good value for money, imo - those printed pieces go for 2-3 pln on Allegro and such, so with postage fee these alone would cost as much, and you get nifty golden chains and some studs on top of that.
>>5198719
Rzeszów here, Auchan seems to have them and Carrefour briefly had too, so yeah, likely not exclusive. There does seem to be a distribution problem, though, and I did see one store that got the assorted polybags instead.

Which themes AFOLs didn't hate in the last few years, really? Forgettable one wave Castle from 2013 that brought nothing new to the table and didn't even have civilans like Kingdoms?
Ninjago is bad because not muh ninja even though each wave has at least one semi-realistic building stylized appropriately and somehow it doesn't matter that once they've dropped the rubber dragon heads, everything is using pretty clever builds. NK doesn't even have that drawback so it's all grasping at straws so far, the complaints always resolve around the fucking visors.

It's probably my favourite out of all the TFA sets. Surprisingly big and feels very heavy and sturdy in your hand. Very cool thrusters and neat door mechanism. It nails the Imperial Look, it wouldn't look out of place next to an AT-AT.
And 7 minifigs! Captain Phasma is phenomenal, the stormtroopers and flametroopers are cool and eh the resistance is meh but atleast you have something to fight.

That's a different tool, I think. LDD doesn't really use UVs in the classical sense, just surface shaders and a decal system, whereas a game engine would be using UVs, so that's probably an internal TT tool. Still official dimensions, but the bricks would be in a 3D modeling software format.

>>5200394

Honestly, the problem with knockoff brands isn't so much their part designs (I'm sure MB, say, has the same design tolerances when they /model/ the parts), it's that none of them are very good at the actual manufacturing process, so their plastics tend to be shit and their mold tolerances are worse.
>>5200394
>warhammer40k
Can someone explain to me why people keep saying Nexo Knights looks like Warhammer? Is it just that futuristic knights always look like Warhammer? Because the aesthetics are completely different.
>>5200405
Giant pauldrons, knights with blocky semi-futuristic vehicles, colorful armor.
NK matches Space Marine aesthetic pretty well.
>>5200403
That's the main problem with MB. I actually like some of their pieces and concepts they offer, but their materials just don't hold up.
>>5200405
>Is it just that futuristic knights always look like Warhammer?
Futuristic knights are the centerpiece of Warhammer and the new figures look Spessmuhreen as fuck.
>>5200405
WH40k is simply the most well-known sci-fi setting which boils down to "fantasy in space", it's not the best match but most people recognize it and the marine imagery, hence the posts you ask about.
The best match would be Stanislaw Lem's sci-fi pseudo-fairytales with robot knights and such but as far as I can tell they're not really well-known outside of his home country unlike some of his other work.
>>5200436
They look more like pic related IMO. I think the people saying it just lack sufficient points of reference so they just spam the one thing they know of that it vaguely resembles.
>>5200464
Yeah, they're basically like a mishmash of various 80s toylines with some improvements, you can find a plenty of similarities to MotU, Visionaires or Wheeled Warriors in the design department.

Not everyone likes the same things!
>>5201303
Check Walmart. I got it for 20 bucks.
So for the first time in 25+ years of buying and building lego, I ran into quality control issues.
The new x-wing set apparently has a big problem with missing/wrong pieces and a fucked up cockpit. I personally got hit with the 2 1x4 bricks with three holes swapped with 2 1x4 bricks with slots, also the bb-8 figures bottom hole is a smidge too big to latch him onto anything securely. Anyone else got this set and having these problems? I looked it up and apparently its pretty common (that and the new M Falcon missing pieces as well), and people predict Lego got rushed for force friday release. Some even said they issued a recall on the sets but a LOT of stores ignored it and kept their stock on shelves (I personally got mine from amazon).
Im not joking when I say 25+years, I have NEVER had a missing piece in a set, usually ALWAYS extra pieces, but never missing.
>>5201369
Shit, forgot to add, I already sent a message to Lego asking for the missing pieces, and they, NO QUESTIONS ASKED, already responded and said they would be sent out. How long is it usually for them to send shit out like that? Itching to build the thing, but the two missing pieces are pretty integral for it so I dont think I can really just "build around" them.

>>5201033

>>5201371
They do it immediately if they have the parts in stock. For licensed sets they ask for the number on the back of the instructions but depending on the problem being widely known (like all first batch Republic Cruisers having Obi-Wan heads instead of Qui-Gons) or if the replacement service is generally full of requests (the week after Christmas) they don't even do that.
>>5200334
They included a button to slow it down on will in the Hobbit game onward and if that´s still too fast you could just look up a Youtube video and slow that down.
>>5196616
And it was an unpleasant christmas that year.
I haven't had legos since I was 12.
I was in Target today and realized how much I loved legos as a kid, but could never get the big sets because my family was broke as shit. Now that I have some money I want to buy one of the $100+ ones, any recommendations?
