Flail of Corruption : Make d3 hit rolls each time you attack with this weapon.

Death to the False Emperor : Each time you roll a hit roll of 6+ for a model with this ability (vs imperium), immediately make an extra attack against the same unit using the same weapon.

So if I roll 3 attacks for the flail and 2 of them are 6s to hit... do I get 2d3 more attacks? or just 2? Seems insane but it'd definitely one way to read it and I haven't seen it in the faq but I might have just missed it.
>>
>>55383546
I can concur, the only tau player at my LGS was the least liked person there even when he wasn't playing Tau, when someone else actually picked up Tau and then dropped them right before the end of 7th because they said they felt like an asshole playing them
>>
>>55383559
why? now I have to figure out the equivalent colurs and they're only slightly cheaper
>>
>>55383573
just paint the fucking model already. this time you've spent shopping and posting about it you could have used to paint it, strip it and repaint it if you were unsatisfied

NOBODY CARES
>>
>>55383580
The problem with Tau is that the model line sucks. Fire warriors are some of my favorite sculpts in the game. Very cool, westernized, safe Alien aesthetic. Lots of smooth edges and just overall dope look.
And crisis suits are pretty cool too. And then things turn up to 11 and nosedive. So the only people that play Tau are either hyper weeaboo or WaaC
Captcha: magnus stop
>>
>>55383543
citadel paints are generally higher quality, and it's easier to get actual paint colours since 40k is almost completely standardized with citadel colours.

This is a long term project, I dont want to waste time painting something I'll have to strip in some time. It's just a general idea and a reference so I can send it to a comission painter

I think I'm doing something wrong mixing all this red and purple

Given. The example actually happened in my last game, but amounted to rolling 3 6s on 4 dice so it's not likely going to happen again any time soon. I relented to his opinion that it was only 2 bonus attacks, but mostly just because 2 guys with flails basically ate his whole unit of conscripts anyway.

Thanks for the input.

Whats up with the height of this dude from the legion command set? I'm gonna use him as a company champion, buts he's like a head taller than his captain. (Its that older space marine commander set) the guy is almost as tall as primaris marines.

Fuck this gay earth. Also to answer your question, warp fuckery allows damn near anything to be possible in 40k so its well within the realm of plausibility for warbands to encounter their legion counterparts at regular intervals
>>
>>55383900
Well the great crusade and Heresy were both super wide spread, but it was also 10,000 years ago, a time span fans and GW have a hard time understanding, we still find arrowheads and pottery from that long ago but it's not an every day thing, a crate of bolters or plasma guns would have rusted away to nothing unless it was kept in a sealed environment
So I'd say hunting for heresy era supplies would be like an archeological expedition, some nerd from the thousand sons has discovered records of a battle on this planet, or maybe some imperial fists fortress long lost to time, so you and your group head out to see if anything still of worth survived
So while I'd say they wouldn't be impossible to find you'd need to do actual work and not just hope to stumble on them if you want any consistency

What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class at Abbey Community College, and I’ve been involved in numerous competitive 40k games, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in the art of keyboard warfare and I’m the top troll in the entire Black Library stable. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. Then I'll write you in as some shitty stock character that gets his head blown off by Abbadon the Despoiler, while getting butt-fucked by some lesser demon. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting network Administrators at 4-Chan, and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can write about killing you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare hands, and, a pencil. Not only am I extensively versed in Chaos Lore, but I have access to the entire library of Games Workshop Black Library and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable faction of choice off the face of the this earth, you priviledged CYS male. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re fucking dead, kiddo.

Been trying to find the willpower to paint these six chosen.
I was looking at it for so long I went through all my bits to see if I could add something to them to inspire me.

Turns out I had some old command squad legs and this missile launcher, a chaos rhino torso and a spare head so I made an extra missile launcher guy out of them.
Who I also have no willpower to paint.

Friendly advice to guardfags that the weapons team box comes with bits to make a heavy weapon and a mortar if you buy extra 60 mm bases online for dirt cheap and sprinkle in a few extra bits
You can also proxy one as the other, so if you buy two boxes you have enough to fill a spearhead of mortars or give each infantry squad you have a lascanon weapons team if you're not an asshole

different guy, but I haven't played against them in 8th, as all the tau players I know dropped them as soon as the rules leaks for 8th came out.

in 7th they were just really frustrating and unfun to play against. they weren't unbeatable, though they were always difficult regardless of the skill of the player, and they generally just turned every game into a tedious slog which, even if I won was still unsatisfying.

Mythoclast was a cool idea, I'm sad it got abused in PvP then subsequently nerfed into the ground and left to rot for most of the game though. Honestly though, the most exciting drop I got other than Last Word was the No Land Beyond, purely cause being able to dash around and dome people in Trials of Osiris was hilarious.

If you want to focus on nationality then focus on it
I'm not the "german" fellow.
Hell if you want it as a demographic description go for it.
However depending on the system of integration and the current generation the given person may not believe that the nationality is their own and their identity can be more accurately formed by their religion or their parent's place of birth.
For instance Dutch pillarism has led to Turkish Muslims maintaining both their national and religious identity over the adoption of the nationality of the state they are currently in.

Armour
Mechanicus Standard, Nuln Oil wash, Dawnstone Administratum Grey

Gold bits that for some reason are green and blue:

You can disembark after a valk moves. I'm surprised people still don't know this.

You can also summon after disembarking, because you can move after disembarking.
>>
>>55385282
>disembarking after moving

Valkys allow you to disembark after moving.

Disembarking doesn't count as moving. As you may move normally after disembarking (or in this case be stationary and Summon)
>>
>>55385288
for all purposes of rules, a disembark is treated as 'moving' even if they don't choose to use their move.

yes, for purposes of rules such as heavy weapons. Summoning doesn't care if you countas having moved, it cares if you can move. The rule is presented as such: instead of moving. Meaning you can exchange movement for summoning.

If you can move, you can summon.

Valkyrie has a rule that lets you disembark after moving, if you move more than 20" it counts as a risky disembarking so you roll a number of dice equal to the number of models disembarking, a number of those models of your choosing are slain equal to the number of 1's rolled
Disregard >>55385288 and >>55385297 on the second point disembarking counts the unit as having moved for the purposes of rules that such as Heavy Weapons, even though you can still move, Disembarking counts as a movement.

In order to summon you are not allowed to have moved. If you disembark, even though you have movement you have moved.
It's that simple.
Tailoring your list using summoning isn't WAAC, it's why summoning exists.
This specific iteration of summoning doesn't fucking work though, because you can't summon after a disembark.

What a coincidence, I spoke to a judge with higher credentials than yours, and my dad works at GW and nintendo. They both said my ruling is correct and not yours.

Summoning is very basic: you can give up your movement to summon. That's what instead of means. If you can move (and you can act normally after disembarking), you can summon. It is really that simple anon, and no amount of poor english will get you around that basic fact.

>>
>>55385383
Nobody is going to mock you for being WAAC at a big tournament. Thats what they're there for, pure unapologetic competition. The thing is this isn't a video game where you can just swap your character or army at the drop of a hat. A lot of the game is also hobby elements, collecting cool models, painting your dudes, and coming up with cool narrative forces. These elements can get pretty negatively impacted when one player is playing for pure rules optimization and another player just wants to play the best game possible with the models that attracted them to the game in the first place. In a casual game context the game works better when people come to it looking for a similar level of competition. Hopefully the difference between "waac" armies and friendly armies will get smaller and smaller in 8th ed. as GW makes yearly points adjustments in Chapter Approved. But this kind of community responsiveness and balance tuning is uncharted territory for 40k. Complaining about "WAAC" is the outgrowth of a game where historically your lovingly painted army might be stuck with weak rules for years or even a decade.

Those arms should be fine, although you'll have to cut at the elbow if you want any guys with saws on their other hands. Almost any heads work aside from Guardsman sized ones, since those don't even cover half the neck after you're done filing to make the surfaces match.

Currently looking for any convenient sources of a lot of medium guns to make into Corpuscarii variants, but they'll wait a while since I don't have another 20 mecha-heads. I have 10 Stubcarbines that might do, though, and I suppose Ranger and Infiltrator heads would work.

Anon I'm done arguing with you, we've explained step by step in the rules why you're wrong, you're using extreme sophistry and ignoring the fact that the rules go against you
It's clear you never planned on arguing in good faith, your original post had all the markings of b8 and we replied anyways, foolishly
If you do actually play 40k, which there's a very small chance you do, just remember this when you leave the group you've lied to and try and play against someone else or in a tourney and they flat refuse to use your interpretation and the store agrees with them
Try this again in a few hours when everyone here is gone, I'm sure more people like me will be retarded enough to reply

This means, that if you can move, you can forgo that opportunity to summon. I'm surprised there are people autistic enough to debate what the definition of instead is. This is the most intellectually dishonest bullshit I've seen in /40kg/, trying to argue against this.

The trait is shit. It will have far less impact than comparative traits such as the AL/RG -1 to hit. It's also really fucking boring, such as the AL/RG -1 to hit.

The Deep Strike stratagem is pretty nifty though. Since it doesn't have any limits on unit types, it's better than the AL/RG stratagem in some ways, and worse than others (no movement after it).

Overall I'd say that the AL/RG does the faction concept better than Lucius.

it's not asking if you CAN move you illiterate fuck, if that was the case you would never be able to summon because you can't move in the psychic phase. using your own phrasing would disqualify all psykers from summoning.

it's saying you forgo one for the other, and since the movement phase happens first, weather you can summon is determined by your actions in the movement phase. and since disembarking COUNTS AS HAVING MOVED it means that you forfeited your ability to summon.

So in the fight phase, if you do more wounds to an enemy unit than they have models within an inch do those wounds get thrown away or do they carry over? If you split fire chainaxes first and kill enough models for them to remove the units keeping your guys in base contact, do you not get to use your chainswords, or do they have to allocate wounds after you finish all attacks?
