In terms of daemons, no brimstone spam. Actually use splitting horrors, or maybe some of the other ones. Variety is fitting for Tzeentch.

Guys, I'm painting my Devastator ammo fetus and I don't know what color I should be painting the skin.

My chapter is one of the pale/grey skinned Raven Guard types, so I want to paint the baby grey. But then again, cherubs don't have geneseed, so it should be the color of a regular baby. But then you'd get into the "why is your whole chapter grey skinned and then you have one blindingly bright tan/flesh baby in the whole army?". But then on the OTHER other hand, I don't think I even have any unhelmeted miniatures. I might have like one, two at most, but even those guys I'm thinking of throwing on helmets.

So I'm just getting back into 40k after about 6 years, and horror of horrors I'm looking to play tau. I've wanted to play tau since I was 11 years old but was always talked out of it, and now that I won't be lumped in with all the WAACfags (and now that the WAACfags flooded ebay with cheap tau models), it seem the time for my taudom has come.

I'm looking to start a ~500pt army for skirmish games to begin with. I've got a box of firewarriors, a box of pathfinders, and a trio of stealth suits which I've really been enjoying modeling. All conventional wisdom says the next step would be the start collecting box, but there also seems to be a consensus that crisis suits are trash compared to commanders. Both units are equally cool in my book favor-wise, so i'm unsure what to get.

Are Crisis suits really that much worse?

Does anyone feel either actual model is significantly higher quality or more fun to built/paint?

Do I gimp myself and take crisis suits to save money and get the SC set?

Do I become a WAACfag myself and get a commander?

Would it be feasible to get the SC box, sell the crisis suits and try and use that money to get a commander?

I can see that, the errata one in the OP is pretty hard to read too, I can't mouse over certain errata.
But the fact it has stuff like;

If he's in a normal army, you deal with him like you do with any other similar unit like a Knight.

If he's in the 21 model, 16 character assassin festival list, you don't.

Many factions have similar units, although not all do. Although Guilliman is one of the worst offenders due to giving you 3 CP, saving you 3 CP from buying a chapter master (thus gaining you 6 CP), and also being just small enough to not be targetable.
