It unironically is. See: Emrakul. Though you can substitute straight mana cost for some other extreme obstacle to getting them to play, such as removing the counters to get the Marit Lage token (let's ignore how Vesuva makes that incredibly easy for now).

Iname's problem is that the card is weak, not that it's expensive. A card like O-Kagachi, who in lore is pretty much omnipotent and who previously atomized the plane just by appearing should be some absurd "I win" thing that has some new and novel way of getting it to play, and if that doesn't fit Commander, maybe you shouldn't fucking print him in Commander.

It's been almost two years, when I started playing again. Even with Ur-Dragon coming out, I'm not gonna take her apart, instead I'm buying two copies just to cannibalize one to improve Intet.

I'm not sure how it came up in conversation, but when talking to a couple of friends the topic of death came up, and I told them they could have my cards on the stipulation they keep Intet in one piece and play it every once in awhile.

To the flavorfag last thread, I see nothing wrong with Kaalia being a 4 drop on a flavor perspective. She's a human, a cleric who wants revenge. There's not much on her story-wise, but from what I remember scrounging up is she made pacts with Angels, Demons, and Dragons. Not for their power to be hers, but to call on them. So to me it wouldn't make sense for her to be a huge CMC bomb, since she herself is not powerful. If anything, the mana costing is more flavorful because each type gave her a color.

The card literally becomes worse the more players are in the game. It's at its best in a two player match because you only have one player to choose from and thus will always get a hit, guaranteed. Every extra player you add to the game makes it weaker and weaker. Commander is a multiplayer format.

This is True-Name Nemesis all over again, weaker obviously but has the same fundamental problem that they're using a Commander product to introduce a card that's not meant for Commander, a card that's at its worst and weakest in Commander and at its best in any other format. Why don't they just put these cards in some random normal set?

Not that guy but it's more complicated than you think. There is a huge amount of non gay stuff but it still dwarfs in comparison. I personally believe, that fictional art allows for the exaggeration and mixture of male/female attributes that gays want. More so than 3D. I think that we can apply animalistic traits that we perceive as masculine (like being territorial) when creating characters. Along with that, for the non complete mega muscle gays, it is really easily to apply female attributes to male fury characaters than it is to 3D. Really? The majority of traps/twinks/other will never look as feminine as modified 2D artwork. At least, not in a coat affective mass consumer based porn way

I need to tutor for molten pinnacle, take way more mountains in the deck and then draw scapeshift to deal a small amount of damage that i also need to conspire and copy to kill even one player with, it isnt spicy enough, doesnt make use of mana i generate, too hard to draw.

I can conspire and copy both pieces of this combo, use either piece independently and generate retard amounts of tokens and mana if i get both.

I dont disagree though it is jank. I really just want to get Increasing Vengeance in and maybe some more interaction and now Rude Awakening but im open to adding some more wincons.

I know some people here were miffed about Eminence when they revealed it, drawing obvious comparisons to Oloro's obnoxiousness. Here's what the lead designer had to say on the matter today:

"Oloro works in any deck from the Command Zone, providing something incrementally every turn without caring at all about what you're doing. It doesn't have any kind of deck-building restriction.

With eminence, on the other hand, you actually have to do something to make it good. You're paying a cost of building your deck in a certain way. Additionally, unlike Oloro, which simply awards you life every turn, eminence impacts cards you actually play, meaning they're as removable as anything else. Yeah, I can play my Dragons for cheaper, but you can still deal with my Dragons all the same. It just helps make some Dragons playable that are one mana too expensive."

For one it's kind of a "win more" card, if you're having plenty of tapped creatures, you're most likely swinging and doing decent damage already, couple more points won't cut it. Might as well play another creature instead.
Two, being Legendary hinders it somewhat (for non-EDH constructed), if you're playing 4 of, the second one is dead draw. So it's really either combo piece that will make you win through getting shitton of tapped tokes on the field (but once you have shitton of tokens there's plenty of outer way to win with them). Or EDH fodder, and that's where we are.
