Sweet. My life just got a whole lot more convenient.
I now have a light weight solar panel that I can sleep inside. It's soundproof, weatherproof, very comfy, has free WI-FI, and has room for two.

As for the camp in general, I now have easy access to all of the basics, as well as entertainment. I can easily find interesting food by foraging and hunting, and interesting company to share the food with. I even have rope. ALL HAIL THE EVER ROPE! Really all I need to pay for anymore is gas and occasional computer parts when I'm unlucky enough to not just find them in the trash.
Life should be much nicer.

Just not something for me.
My biggest issue is the fact that in the scenario I'm forced to become stock regardless of whether I want to or not.
There's definitely a lot of options in it that would allow me to make the best of a bad situation, so to speak, but becoming someone else's property is a giant deal breaker in my opinion.
I'm all about being in control or, at the very least, being able to choose who I follow/serve.
Like I said, it's great, just not something I could enjoy fantasizing about.

Seriously, what can most rivals do against an Archmage just deciding to nuke the general they're in? Elemental immunity is useless against ferromancy, magic resistance also fails to deal with hurling a mountain, pure physical endurance doesn't stop asphyxiation through air, fire or water, and any of the rival's magic can be negated with counterspell.

The cannibal tribe seems like the least problematic nemesis, though I guess that depends on what kind of weapons they wield. Since they're on the 'fringe' of the island's food chain and live mostly as scavengers I would wager that their weaponry is not that impressive. Island Aurochs are a potential food source. The other Cryptids are dangerous, but not overly dangerous. For companions I took the witch doctor, as she's pretty much the only woman on the island. With the overgrown estate I'll at least see them coming for me.

The guide to magic seems like the best artifact by far for survival. Transmuting sea water into sugar water could keep me alive for a while if I'm starving. Turning my saliva into oil combined with being able to cast streams of flame from my nails will let me easily start fires and even set fire traps. Projection of voice may allow me to escape a predator or trick an opponent. Pouring mist from my mouth could obfuscate an area and cause enemies to trigger traps they otherwise would have seen. Weight reduction magic would let me carry big game back to my mansion, or make myself weigh much less so that I can jump higher and run much faster.

I'm a nurarihyon, so I am already very stealthy. On top of that I have the stealth suit. This should make me as sneaky as possible. I'm going to become a Photographer, with an unparalleled ability to travel to places that may be off limits to everyone else. I don't need that much money, but I'll want to squirrel some away for health care, and to pay for a satellite phone since I could not fit in the internet access option. An option for health would be nice, even if immortality is off the table.

Companionship will bring many friends by, and eventually I would hope to find someone to share the journey with me, hence Room for Another. 200 square feet may not seem like much, but that's bigger than some "tiny homes", and the thing is magical. I REALLY wanted hot showers, but there's nothing else I could justify giving up for it. So, a lot of soap and washcloth over the tiny sink. Auto-laundry makes a huge difference in keeping clean, though.

I think the Chest of Holding is pretty essential for miscellaneous stuff you need. In my case, cameras, laptops, books, a few extra clothes for different weather, and portable satellite internet device. I don't actually know how much power it uses. pretty comfy, though

Fast leveling is the name of the game here. As a Shifter, I level by exploring new places. Thanks to my flight as an Avian, I can do so extremely quickly, and I can dedicate 24 hours a day to the task thanks to Sleepless, and of course, Faster Growth to accelerate the process further.

I generally prefer to avoid conflict. My weapon and shield will more than suffice should I encounter light hostilities during my exploration, but if things look like they might get too rough I immediately teleport to safety. My anti-magic shield ensures that I have time to do so, no matter what kind of threat I face.

By the time the factions arrive, I should have a huge range and carry limit, as well as vast knowledge of the region. This is the service I provide to the Seraph Confederacy, getting their people where they need to be (and telling them where that is), "opening the door for their army" in that way. However, I'm generally not looking to command an army myself. I would prefer to rely on the faction for material support and protection instead. Simply being able to use faction safehouses would go a long way for me, though if the exp curve requires me to explore dungeons, a number of elite troops to do the heavy lifting might not be unappreciated.

I figure with such a focused build I should be able to hit level 100 at least 10 times faster than the "average" build. If the normal XP curve takes to about retirement age (ie when your getting too old to keep up the activity), my build should probably get there in 3 to 10 years. The only thing is I might have to wait for the world to "catch up" in order to advance the curve, I hope that's not the case given my method of XP gain.

All levels and plans aside, I think the shifter/avian combo suits me best anyway. Claustrophobia would be a little tough with my pre-system lifestyle, but seeing as that sort of thing is generally impossible anyway I don't see it as too big an issue except exploring dungeons, which I'd rather avoid if possible anyway. Being able to fly is definitely nice, and I think the Seraph Confederacy, though far from perfect, is the best chance the world has for any kind of return to normalcy. More than anything though, I pick Shifter because I am obsessed with my own survival. I should be able to survive anything with this as long as I don't go looking for trouble, which is a good enough reason NOT to pick Arachne or Oni

The way I see it, Paladin it up in here, set monsters on fire with a flaming Legendary Arma, tank almost every hit, if shit hits the fan, push yourself harder and harder, using that first rank in blood, overdrive, and full on Flare to kick ass till the cows come home, filling your reserves with dogged persistence, and repairing any damage after throwing the enemy into the sun. Definitely ideal for combat, but also good for saving people from fires and similar disasters, and the dragon's just fun.

With Dave adding some actual engineering skill to Jenny's ideas It would be no problem to fix up the old robot and likely improve the drones the ship carries. Dieter is handy to serve as a gunner and also connections, get us closer to our targets and people to sell to. Combat wise im thinking the drones can carry out and deploy the mines setting the stage for a longrange ambush or just out around the ship as a defensive screen. Mostly the main ship would hang back while the drones harassed just waiting to get a good shot with the heavy railgun with the accelerators as solid backup. With the expanded cargo hold should be able to carry some drones for salvaging and selling what we can to make extra profit. Perhaps after some reputation has been gained it would be possible to turn the attention of freelance pirates to our side and lead raids on the terrans instead. Pirate fleet.

My magic isn't all that complicated, and a lot of it I've set up to calculate and take itself into consideration. Getting too big for my heart to handle? Secondary and tertiary muscles start forming with the shape-shift to work in tandem.

On the Really big ones I've learned to start keeping seeds on hand to grow arboreal supports, alternative energy systems and I'm working on internal insect colonies to handle even more complicated things if I need to go deep-sea or high-altitude.

Life is messy and so's what I do. Still, size gives me strength, shape gives me mobility and adaptability. [The Memory of Trees] bit was a little joke, but they do like me more in rural areas where I can help crops flourish.

The Tome I picked up when I first started is where I really got the idea to start blending Scale, Bloom and Form the way I have been though. Really went all-out and followed up with proper anatomy lessons and biology studies to make the most of them. My Flowing outfit helps me make sure I'm getting the most out of Scale and Form in particular since it's quick to get out of the way when I need to pop out some wings, ram forward with a good set of horns, or even Bloom out some flora to hide my huge body for an ambush....the "minimal" aspect tends to be a side-effect rather than its actual nature, but the important bits are always covered and held where they should be!

Shimmer helps me pick the right plants and flowers for the occasion; a lot of people and monsters have allergies.

Though it would fit the dark knight theme better, I actually don't have a power to raise the dead. I control my minions through the power of operant conditioning. It is much easier to train them when they are small, and release them back to normal size when needed.

As cheesy as it is, I think our best strength will come from something that a dark knight would lack. Teamwork, cooperation, and the power of friendship!

In a one on one, I would eventually break in any sort of prolonged battle as our foe got stronger from her will AND the blood we shed, and you lack the striking power to return fire, even if you can take repeated attacks on the chin... but if you run interference and keep the fiend distracted, I should be able to get in enough good hits to uppercut her into the stratosphere, and from there, gravity will take its course. And you know what they say, the bigger they are, the harder they fall.

And worst case scenario, the two Knights run out of mana to do our fun tricks and you just toss the nasty one into the sky yourself.

Scale on its own can more then exceed the values of any other buff. Just pump more
mana in. What does pumping mana into Arma get you? Summoning armor for longer? More layers of armor?

Scale+reserves+Form+young+(ampoule or staff)+(Poofy and/or thematic and/or phased) far outstrips any physical build for physical damage.

Form on its own can give you gorilla musculature, which is an instant 6x boost over adult males. And once you have that musculature, you don't need to spend anything to maintain it.

Form is only going to be an either-or with Strength. Strength gives you magical strength regardless of your physical structure, if you change your body it would need to exceed that magical strength to see any benefit. Never going to happen.

Size is incredibly short lived (ultra high cost even before pumping it further). More importantly though as I said it's incredibly limiting, a weakness in itself. Size makes you a huge target and limits your ability to project force with accuracy.

If you are talking about adding arma/strength afterward, those points are going to have to come from somewhere. If you don't have maxed agility you dun goofed, because that further multiplies both your damage and attack speed, as well as providing you evasion and the ability to actually hit your target, all more important than strength itself. If you don't have stamina or defense you know what will happen. All 4 of those need to be S rank or close to it or you are basically worthless as a physical girl, regardless of which magic abilities you have to support your physical ones.

As written, agility does not add to your damage at all. Neither damage per hit nor attack speed.

Scale isn't short lived at all, if you have S rank Reserves.

Form is stacked on after strength. Nothing in Strength suggests that magical modifications won't stack with it.

Getting back to the point, running pure physical is incredibly short-sighted when you can do things like triple your physical capabilities for two points at LOW mana cost. And you only gain like 45% taller.

This would be absolute heaven. I'll wait 18 months to finish my contract and use weekends/days off to refresh my camping skills/get my fitness back up then it's out the door.
