I don't believe you for a second. For starters, most people don't actively try to catch other people from cheating because they're honest players themselves. It doesn't occur to them that cheating is a thing they have to watch out for.

If they play stalking leonin, make them choose a player with the notepad function of their smartphone (or a text box if there isn't one) if they don't have a phone, make them write it down, if they can't, tough shit for them the ability is null and void. Obviously the player can't fiddle with their phone until the ability activates or the creature is removed from the field, an easy task for someone actually playing the game.

Don't rely on creature based ramp unless you can win before a wipe. 1 mana dorks like Llanowar Elves and Birds are fine, but after that you're typically better off with ramp spells that give you lands, like Cultivate/Kodama's Reach, Skyshroud Claim, Wood Elves, or mana doubling effects like Caged Sun or Mirarri's Wake. If all else fails get more rocks, like Darksteel Ingot, Thran Dynamo, Thought Vessel, Mind Stone, Command Sphere, etc. Generally speaking you should avoid mana dorks unless they give you an absurd amount of mana, since boardwipes are so common in this format.
