Quick question since I'm working on the JLU jump. Is anyone still interested in making a Static Shock jump or should I just integrate elements from that into JLU?

Is this supposed to be a massive jump or something? Because there's already plenty of material between JL and JLU, and Static Shock easily has enough for its own jump. To say nothing that the most they have to do with each other (besides taking part in the same world) are a few cameos.

This is how it is in the jump right now. So far the only Static Shock related options I have are the quantum vapor and a location roll for Dakota, where the show took place. I may also add superpower options inspired by some of the shows characters, but only generic stuff like element manipulation.

I just really like the show, and it's in the DCAU, so I wanted to make sure it was included just in case no one wanted to make a jump for it.

Alright, i got too much shit on my plate right now with Blizzard's nonsense, so don't take this as a jump claim YET, but

Would the people here be interested in a Castlevania: Lords of Shadow jump, given that the current Castlevania doesn't cover it (or Judgment for that matter, but the less I give my opinion on that dreck the better)?

Just barely been rediscovering this game and all that it really could have been. Prime example of wasted potential.

Lords of Shadows 2 pissed me off. While in the Castle itself the game was loads of fun but they kept dragging back to the 'modern world' and I just couldn't stand it.

The 3ds game was pretty fun too, but good gods the writing. Oddly charming somehow.

Sort of. Gabriel Belmont doesn't become Dracula until the end (well, technically the DLC, but that was supposed to be in the game in the first place), and even then he's only the Big Bad in the Mirror of Fate (set between the first and second game). Lords of Shadow 2 has him as the main character again, even as Dracula, and by then he's just burned out, still hating humanity and believing that evil will triumph in the end, but not willing to actually go out of his way to exterminate them anymore. Then Alucard convinces him to engage in a crazy plan that will kill Satan and Zobek/Death if it succeeds, allowing him to have his vengeance at long last.

I did in my first chain, but I was a bit of a dick about it. FirstJumper!Me had a ritual to blow off steam. He went out once a decade, turned off pretty much all of his powers, then would get black out drunk before picking a fight with the largest bastard in the dive.

In the aftermath, people tended to ask all kinds of questions. So FirstJumper would tell them wild stories about Jumping the multiverse. Because, fuck it, he was black out drunk and had just won a fight, so why not? Anyways, he would make wild claims about being able to grant powers and magic swords and even just twist destiny over his knee. And people would ask him for stuff. Like to be younger, or have a life of adventure, or whatever.

FirstJumper would usually give the people what they wanted if it was simple enough. A magic ring here, a powerful sword there, a tome of magic spells they couldn't read for that guy. Whatever. One guy asked to be a Jumper, which the Benefactor thought was infinitely amusing so they just did it. Right there in the bar. The guy came back 0.01 seconds later sporting four Pokemon, conduit powers, and a Mega Man cybernetic arm. He laughed insanely for ten minutes then dove out a window.

FirstJumper was kind of a dick, but he did grant wishes.

I usually prefer Canon characters, but Lina was one of my favorite OCs to write about.

If I have to come up with OC names, usually I decide on a nationality, then look up the list of family names for that nationality on Wikipedia. I pick one that I like the sound of, then grab one of the real, but dead, people listed there. Wikipedia usually have a good half dozen choices for any family name on the list, so it's a good way to get natural sounding names.

If I'm shooting for more of a fantasy approach, I'll snip out a few letters or vowels and cram the remaining letters together. Scifi stuff is usually harder, because it's not always easy to speculate on the naming tends of the future.

Anyway! I'm interim vice headmaster here at Camp Campbell! My job doesn't involve dealing with kids or activities, and all I have to is keep the legal responsibility for the summer camp in the green!

Besides burning evidence, emergency repairs, burning evidence, bone setting, and burning evidence, I had to keep the campers from dying to supernatural horrors, which I took a more active role in. Decided I'm going to be decompressing from extensive and detailed writefaggotry in terms of /jc/ stuff. While I haven't lost my enthusiasm, it's kind of a huge energy sink and...honestly, no matter how I slice it, making an extended Jumpchain fanfiction is a hell of a way to use up time and creativity best spent elsewhere or in shorter bursts. Decade got his happy ending and I felt happy with Destroyer of Worlds. That's a good place to stop.

So yes, I'm admitting defeat. I cannot, for the life of me, write a full Jumpchain epic even with NEET time. On the plus side, this means I can focus more on Jumpmaking and silly combos again.

That's a hard question because I tend to write so much for all my Jumps.

I think for my last chain (Restarted), it was Undertale. The scene towards the end. After the barrier had been brought down, Jumper was essentially a "Bonus Boss" that was difficult, but not impossible. Jumper was talking with Frisk, pouring his heart out because he had come to Undertale so that Frisk could fix him. And Frisk just dodged all the electricity from the emotional outburst. Then he told Jumper he didn't need to be saved. He didn't need to be fixed. He just needed to stop blaming himself for everything that went wrong.

I know it doesn't seem like much and it's actually kind of cliched, but to me it was an emotional, pivotal point in the story. It's one of my favorite scenes to come out of that chain.

I would have personally separated CGI, Hand-Drawn, and Stop Motion instead of touching on the western/eastern split. But with that in mind, I'd suggest making Stop Motion the third one, since both anime and western animation make use of CGI fairly commonly nowadays, even if pure CG is still a large subsection of things.

One thing I'd suggest, if I'm not imposing, is to give Anime a low-tier perk for being able to make faithful adaptations of other artforms and taking the risks of adapting on-going properties in stride- having the writing chops to make filler arcs that don't clash with the property's original story or tie up the entire thing in an alternate ending even with little material from the original writer, alongside with the artistry to make your new stuff stand up to the rest of the work in terms of design and visual quality despite being completely new.

Like, even with how the power curve has shot up recently, I don't think jumpchain offers enough power to face him in direct combat. We haven't seen him actually fight, but he is very much capable of just deleting local multiverses with no effort and, even if it turns out that that's all he has and you're somehow immune, you'd still need to worry about the Angels and Gods of Destruction crushing you with biggatons.

You're best bet to kill him is to try to charisma-mance the two Zen-Ohs into killing each other.

I suggested it for Anime since a lot are direct adaptations of manga, while a lot of cartoons based on existing properties don't follow the source 1-to-1. An Endless Witch can turn 1 to infinity. At least that's how they explain it. Basically they have magic based around that concept. The one feat I think they kept hammering down was the endless witch being able to kill people "endlessly."

Voyager witches are a significant step above regular witches and can travel between different "fragments"/worlds. A fight between two of them involved entire universe being created and destroyed throughout the battle.

A step above that is Creator, which I believe may be the level you reach if you decide to stay in Umineko after succeeding. One was able to rewrite the plot of the story and kill a Voyager witch before deciding what actually killed her.

I remember them saying she was "a" Creator rather than "the" Creator. I believe they also said that she had "reached the heights" of a Creator but didn't actually cross the line to becoming one. The explanation I found that makes the most sense is that Creator status means you stop being you because you become completely perfect and lacking in all limits. Featherine stopped just before she reached it so she has power close enough to a Creator but may not actually be one.

How does becoming a servant (Fate/Stay Night) work as a jumper. If you are an experienced jumper do your stats weaken if you have E in all parameters. I.e. if I have super strength from a superhero jump do I lose that with an E parameter. Am I still a servant after a jump and what do I retain. The Type Moon servant supplement doesn't elaborate as far as I can tell

Servant Parameters add onto your actual specs instead of replacing them. This is just a detail I like to use to troll Masters but you can also let your OCP abilities appear on your Servant status.

You get a real body post-jump. This means you lose the ability to ignore purely physical attacks by virtue of being a spirit and can no longer dematerialize and materialize at will. On the upside, you are completely self-sufficient and do not require a Master. Purchasing the Living template allows you to keep these benefits post-jump as an upside to said template just granting you these post-jump benefits in-jump.

In fluff, it's meant to be magical Wuxia. I guess Xianxia with concept ball replacing biggatons is one way to describe it. In gameplay, it's rocket tag. With that stuff everyone goes on about gameplay being what's really going on in-setting, I don't know which it would be when you're really living the world of Exalted instead of playing it.

Just imagine how a native Master would react... First they get a Servant that doesn't match what they were expecting ("You!...You're not Medea!"). In a D&D jump would it be possible to create a variation on the Wish spell that instead of causing unexpected monkey's paw nonsense if you wish for something too big the spell just fails if you go too big?

Or to put it into game play terms when it is cast you state your wish and the DM decides if your character is powerful enough for the wish to work, if so it works out no problem if not the spell fails and you wasted whatever you put into it?

Jotaro could also do the 9 seconds at first, but then after being out of practice, he got cut down to 5 and then I think 3 in Part 6.

It's like how Joseph got lazy with his Hamon practice and started to actually age, due to spending decades trying to be a normal person instead of going full shonen/xianxia protag.

Actually it was 5 seconds during Part III. Part IV he didn't use it much so it went down to about .5 seconds before getting it to 2 seconds. Part 6 he was back up to 5 seconds.

Time Stop seems to affect the heart. Which is why he can't use it very much unlike DIO who was spamming it non-stop practically.

So are the Plug-in Chips an actual in-setting thing in NieR Automata? Because they apparently have absolutely ludicrous effects. They are, yes. Some core functions, like your minimap or the ability to turn on (Removing the turn on/off chip kills you) are obviously canon, so they do exist in setting.

Obviously they'd have different effects a lot of the time out of game terms. A speed chip that increases speed by 20% in game probably isn't going to do a 20% increase if you're a lot faster then a YoRHa unit already. On the other hand, there's some that don't have much reason for not working as they do in game, like the shockwave one or the slow mo perception one.

Generally, if it seems like it's not outright magic bullshit (Like percentage based increases to your stats), it should be a thing. Doesn't work for everything and some stuff is still muddled but it should sort some stuff a bit.
