>all pork tastes bland unless it's Chinese.

You've just gotta spice it properly, or try different cuts. Or maybe not douse everything in condiments, if that's what you're doing instead.

Try this, and don't add anything to it when it's done. Just eat it as-is. No steak sauce, no ketchup, nothing. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ellie-krieger/pork-tenderloin-with-seasoned-rub-recipe-1917382

I didn't make it, but in fairness the restaurant was pretty disappointing.
Maybe different cuts? Everything tends to be belly or chops, and it tastes of boiled paper.
>Or maybe not douse everything in condiments
Why the fuck would I use condiments what kinda prole do you take me for I don't even know why I come to these threads utterly disrespectful...

He might have some sort of genetic defect that doesn't allow him to enjoy the glory that is pork.

>>54452238
What you need is genuine North Carolina barbecue.

aka pulled pork for you yankees.

I usually hate pulled pork with a passion, although I have had one really good pulled pork doughnut.
Obviously as a good America-hating Brit I'm never gonna have a genuine NC barbecue tho

Pork really shines on denser, slower cooking cuts in my opinion. It can take it's time to let the seasoning set in, and stays edible in the process.

Shoulder's my personal favorite, but it's cheap as hell where I live, so that somewhat influences my favoritism. I let it go for about twelve hours, and I can tell you that it will bear no resemblance to paper.
>>
>>54452370
>You know, like those poor souls that taste the bitterness of brussels sprouts.

Their lives must truly be suffering. But I'll never have more pity for them than I do those who can't taste the differences in hot sauces, and instead feel only varying degrees of "Oh God my mouth, it's on fire!" and "Holy shit is this lava? Did you feed me lava motherfucker?!"

>>54452353
>Why the fuck would I use condiments what kinda prole do you take me for

Gotta be honest, I completely assumed you were some kind of normie that found your way onto /tg/ instead of the type of autist that never actually leaves this place. And around here, normies need condiments on everything.

2400km is a lot of room, I can hit most critical places between 10,000BC and 600AD. I'm also in the important areas for the rise of various religions, which gives me a huge advantage in Myth Maker.

I spend the first thousand or two using time dilation to rapidly master all the magic I unlocked, then I begin to explore near the fertile crescent. I find promising young people and teach them magic while telling them to spread me as a myth. Eventually as the Greeks rose to power I'd return to Cyprus and build an academy, and continue to train people while telling them to tell others about me. Once the Romans appear, I'd ingratiate myself with their government while taking promising people as my pupils, while hopefully getting government influence. I would continue to instruct them to spread the word of my academy, hopefully by now a great college. I would largely teach minor powers, though I'd have a few apprentices of Major Blessed One..
>>
>>54452473
Does that mean make waifu CYOAs, or be in CYOAs a waifu author? So confused.
>>
>>54453287
Absolutely both.
>>
>>54453276
Estimates peaked the population of the Roman Empire at one point to be around 120 million. With the addition of the mystical power of my healers, perhaps with enchanted items from stormsage to continue to provide good harvests and the population would grow even larger. So around 100AD or even before that I would qualify for Sorceror Supreme and remove my drawbacks while gaining a new major magic. At that point, I'd gather all the magical artifacts and take them back to the Magical College, then I would close it off from the world. I would study my new magic, and eventually my magical apprentices would die off and without magical support the Roman Empire likely wouldn't be able to keep their population fed, and the inevitable riots plus the Gauls historic pushes would likely result in their collapse, though perhaps a few years late. After that, I assume I still have a few more mythologies to become a part of. I'd use a combination of aiding the Celts, the Great Heathen Army, and Rurik to gain at least three myths in Christian lore, and perhaps in the native lore of other areas. Federation and Empire Builder are fallbacks in case my own meddling or another person's meddling disrupt time and I need to use a different method. Though I should be able to at least ingratiate myself as a Sorcerer.

Lore question: Why was it better for me who apparently was responsible for the death of the previous leader (however accidentally) and thus the destabilization of their realm, (not to mention being a complete outsider), to be elevated to king than for Nesbit to lick up the blood and take on the job?

Also good job. I'm struggling with some of the decisions here. Well especially the public works decisions. (Moving the number that can be done immediately to three makes it a bit easier, and some more obvious choices than others, but still some tough decisions.)

Initial impressions.
-Orla the Fairy Tooth Necromancer is the biggest issue. Not marrying her means an army at my doorstep constantly looming until I can either subsume or kill her. Wedding her is even worse, as it would easily be seen as a foreign interest taking central role in internal politics and radicalize some factions. My reign would likely be both short and bloody.
-Fae, Flora, Fauna and Elf factions are likely to be easily appeased. The librarian would make for an excellent counselor but doesn't appeal to me on a personal level. Some token shows of support for Fauna would quickly buy their loyalty.
-The Underworld is a competition between Drow Triads and the Sylph Syndicate. The Drows I could work with but Sylph is too bloodthirsty. Uprooting them should be priority number one. Air, however, is fleeting. All of this started with a movie, perhaps a subtle memetic war would solve this situation?
-Changeling is most likely the court faction. I'm not sure what to make of them, although I fear the complexities of their Traditions are such that sooner or later a faux pas would occur.

I think I'd go with Tianna and the Changelings to ensure a strong political base. I'd have to ask her to show the me and only me her true face in the morning however, she can change her accessory mask when she dresses up.

Key : Y- = Your, M- = Mutual, H- =Her, -M = Major, -m = minor
Love : YM (0) Ensures loyalty from her part. Her attitude towards the maids is reassuring however, she doesn't mind sharing when it is clear she is the top bitch.
Interest : Ym(-5) Might as well give her some relatable knowledge with some freebie points.
Attraction : Hm(5) Honestly, with a changeling this feels like cheating. She changes her form often, but each one is 10/10 would berry my dick so hard whoever pulled me out would be crowned Arthur King of the Britons tier.
Libido : Ym(0) Healthy sex drive but not enough to hamper our duties.
Empathy : Mm(0) As I have the trust of this faction I'd rather not share in their eccentricity and disenfranchise the members of lower castes.
Dominance : Hm(10) That's what a court faction does, essentially.
Support : YM (0)
Others : Mm (0) Sex has often been used as a diplomat's tool under the trade table. As spies and diplomats I expect my Consort's Concubines to excel in this regard. As for me, any fetish I want can be sated by the Queen so the Concubine position would be used as a way to honor families and factions(and later, sequester and Fetching). I would seek support from Fae, Drow and Flora first, then we'll see how it goes.
Thinking about it; a Consort position would be a great way to drive a wedge between the Crane sisters if my memetic approach doesn't work.

>Aspect

>Projects
Seasons : A safe Center Egalitarian move. Excellent publicity being my very first act.
Bloom : Ties in with the previous, but I actually choose this one because I'm a regular coffiya/gween tea fiend.
Undercity : History teaches us that the easiest way to bring a diverse crowd together is to band them against a major Foe whose willful morality/nature is so alien to us that it's very existence desecrates every value and ideal we hold dear. So I will exaggerate rumors about whatever is down there while building up the Traditions that bring Fae(and more importantly, those weird Changeling fuckers) together in order to booster a sense of status quo and secure my powerbase.
Fae, Flora and Fauna will be appeased by my first two moves, and I hope to bring Honor to Elves, their city to Drows and establish cordial relations with Orla with my third campaign. It's pointless to try and get those Sylphs fucks in line, we'll have to wait to see if we can get them addicted to dank memes and super inflation hentai. At worse, I can pull a Bush and declare fatwah on terror on their asses. After that, it will be a case of carefully balancing the Elves, Drow and Orla till my Specter Shadow Fetch Army is done. To be honest, I would rather not wage war at all but I am a pragmatist. Si vis pacem.
Plus, it's a sweet ass brooding capital for my dark magical kingdom. If only I could make it always foggy earlymorning-dusk-summer night(but not too hot) and raining too.

Priorities
Mousway - Assassins y'all
Fetch Factory - There's no war on...what's the name of my kingdom again?
Breeding Rights
Fantastical Familiar if they swear loyalty to me and me alone. A beast of divided loyalties is of no use. THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE MASTER

I imagine elves will rebel somewhere along the line due to my drow/changeling leaning. Hopefully I can play the undead angle and sic them on Orla, killing two birds with one stone.

That's an interesting build, but I kinda feel like your realpolitik approach is misguided. We're talking about a kingdom of weird fuckers who apparently generally hated your predecessor, who nevertheless stayed in power until some random mortal fucker came along and killed her. Most of the potential brides don't really seem like they'd be too eager to rebel. As just some weird foreigner who waltzed in and declared himself King you might just be killed, replaced and forgotten about, but the CYOA implies that marrying one of the princesses takes care of most of such problems.

Humanity was overrated anyways.

I am now Dalas, founder of the Flora clan, King of Waking Nightmares.
The title is scarier than it needs to be. Don't touch me without my permission, and you'll be fine.

During the day, I oversee the more militant, predatory, and industrial aspects of our realm. At night, a more benevolent and revelrous side is influenced by our beautiful queen.
Our extreme influence over eachother means that neither side is completely out of control. So that the Fauna clan won't feel so alone, castles and towns wander about during day, and settle down to relax and celebrate at night. Each of these holdings contains a monstrous servant who owes the crown a debt, and is guarded by toxic plant spirits that can choke the life out invaders.

Now, if you'll excuse me, the sun has set and my wife wants me to sit on her lap.

>World
Nobledark, since saving a shitty world would be awesome

>Inherent power
Guess I'll be a Marisa on this one and take skill thief

>Birthright
Marked hero since I watch a lot of anime and play Fire Emblem

>Weapon
Solais, again due to Fire Emblem but also due to it reminding me of Excalibur. And the Kriscarn, because it sounds awesome.

>Armor
Scarlet cape, since its power is pretty awesome, plus I could still wear a bit of armor under it.

>Mentor
Since I'm going sword and knife, I'll have to go for Fara Antor.

>Companions

The Aegis, since an unstoppable tank would be helpful, and Tatrenua, since a support could be useful.

>Mount

To be honest, that political fuckery is what gets my rocks off. It's an aspect I like from both this and the Vampire Brides one. There, I even made it a Constitutional Monarchy(with the caveat that, as the King, it is I the one who gets to write the constitution) divided in 13 votes and seven different Ministries.

Here's the pictures and titles for the fourth and final page. If you have any objections speak now or hold your peace just kidding, I don't expect you to ever hold your peace; never change. But in seriousness it will be a very long time before I'll want to add more characters after this page, so if you think I missed out on your comment from before say something.

>Biomanticle Alchemist

I personally like nature, nature magic, animals, lightning magic (and weather magic more generally), and I guess archery, stealth, and healing. And persuasion/charisma.

In a friend or a lover I like cheerfulness, intellect, passion (e.g. dedicated to a cause), humility, and compassion.

So with that in mind, there are a lot of good choices here, since many of them have at least one of those traits.

>Mentor
There are a lot of good choices here. Sulvora (druidism & communicating with animals), Imindis (archery - but since a lot of her archery has to do with her genes, how does she "teach" me that?), Calladan (protective magic & healing), Evala (protective & wind magic), Lothienye (healing, nature), Umur (healing, but also other stuff I don't care about) Githiue (healing, but also melee it looks like, which is meh), Suse (legendary healing), Mesym (nature, archery, air magic), Nina (summoning animals), Masorn (lightning), Oaksrtrider (plants), Abeta (talking to birds, but I don't care about the fire), Redar (mindreading animals). Whew, too many good choices.

>Lover
Literally all of the women have something about them that's appealing. But for now my top choices are Sulvora (smart and dedicated to her cause, and she's also nature-focused), Imindis (humble, sweet, and her bio really pulls out to my heartstrings), Cilia (passionate and really feels her emotions), Lothieneye (cheerful and passionate and nature-oriented, though idk if I could handle the "don't go into civilization AT ALL" thing), Githiue (probably my #1 pick - she's loving and dedicated to a cause, even if I've never heard of Punora before), Suse (pure and pacifistic), Siga (dedicated etc.), Evet (intellectual - and i'm curious about that aristocratic life), Kathil (cheery)
>>
>>54455446

>(continued)

>Friend
This is an even harder choice. I think I'd either pick for party balance (personality wise, but also in terms of survival in combat, etc.) after I've picked the other two. Most likely I'd pick one of the runner-ups for the mentor or lover slot.

>Final choices
Githiue is my lover. My mentor, Suse, will teach me legendary healing. Kathil will be my good friend.

So basically we'll travel the world spreading love, healing people, and cheering people up with music and stories.

I can't tell if I'm getting used to your writing or if your writing improved as you transitioned from setting to profiles, but editing probably doesn't apply as much as I first thought. (I can still go over it if you'd like.)

Your word choice is patchy in places, but given your rate of progression, I'd say you're on a roll. It's your voice, embrace it.

I'll post what I think of your characters when you hit another milestone. There are a few I prefer.

I still think the marriage contract thing needs an overhaul. Just my two cents. Unless you want a slave as a wife (which, sure, some might, but not everyone) there are zero tradeoffs that you have to make in that section. I'm sorry that I don't have a more specific suggestion, though.

And I'm glad you took my half giant suggestion, even if I do wish it was a woman instead but I know that's just my dick talking
>>
>>54452469
Actually, I do have one suggestion regarding the marriage contract.

The primary "problem" (acknowledging that you may not view it as a problem) is that a lot of people (certainly me, and others too judging by builds) see the "mutual" options as the best. And they're free, which means you can just take all of them and move on, without much thinking or reflection.

It might be interesting to have to balance between mutual/his advantage/her advantage. Like, maybe you can have no more than half of them be mutual, and the rest have to add to exactly zero to "balance". Just a thought.

How do we tell which are authors?
>>
>>54455272
>>54455559

Eh, hell. I'm already reading, might as well give my thoughts now:

Hmm, your formulaic writing style seems to work well. Intro-Personality-Traits-Abilities is a common one, though you swap them around in places. Oddly enough, your writing style changes from a fairly casual one to a more clinical one in the profiles. A bit more "tell" than "show" (Authors use 1st-person speech or different perspectives to get around this), but you compress the information well, and write quickly and consistently.

It's a bit funky when you reference your characters to each other to compare/contrast. If you can spare the effort, moving them next to each other would be ideal. It's a bit hard to easily compare characters we've just been introduced to.

To list your more unique characters:

Lei: Her personality shines through better than most other profiles.
Mumbali: A more unique character class and design.
Imindis: The tiefling that fights her past. A classic that expands a bit on their background.
Clara; Wulfwe: I like the two takes on the barbarian. That, and I like the female warrior archetype as a whole.
Cilia: I really like her ability and class design. It's much more unique than the more D&D style class/personality combinations the others have.

I feel like the CYOA needs to be more specific about what you can learn from these people. Do you just get all the abilities from your chosen mentor (the most "fun" approach but it makes no sense as written), or do they just teach you what they can while you develop your own that might have nothing to do with them?

Umur: Stronger take on most elder magi.
Githiue: Githue is in an odd place where you gather more of her personality from the god she worships, but she has a really striking portrait.
Sir Tane: Good background writing.
Suse: You break character in your writing here and it sticks out. Odd, but I think it works.
Siga: I love her art (Kaladesh!), but the serious personality type is not a very interesting one (to me). More because it says less about the character than it does about their duty; Hard to draw a bead on them.
Nina: Another writing shift here. Helps her stand out.
Masorn: The showboat character is always a good one to include.
Sheli: A non-generic dwarf, and she's the only dwarf at that. I like her.
Lady Evet: Her personality shines through easier than other characters.
Abeta: A character with a more developed background. Very Unique.
Kathil: Tinges of "yandere". Not overwritten.

Overall: You seem to get more comfortable picking out archetypes as you write along. You start with more generic Mage, Druid, Paladins, and do more unique things later in the CYOA.

Expansions/DLC: Since you've already chosen to "go wide" as opposed to "go deep", all you can really do is provide a section for player or world building. I'm not sure how much it would add. I don't think it's reasonable to expand on characters individually, there are far too many. Adding more and more characters like Travellers/Pokemon Personified would be more intriguing I think as it would strain your ability to create unique characters.

My build: I think the best way to build this would be to pick the lover first, then use them to determine a quest. Then pick a mentor and friend to shape my abilities to match the quest and my personality. Balanced party and all that.

Potential Lovers: Imindis, Githue, Suse, Wulfwe, Sheli. I think these characters are the most attractive in terms of personality. I'll go with Wulfwe because she seems well balanced in terms of strength and intelligence, and you planted a few seeds for a background to make things intriguing. (Cast out; bitterness)

Friend: Tige the Monk, his lack of focus on "small talk" and preference for philosophical debates means group interactions will go smoothly. It's weird to have outsider/insider conversations in a small group. Basic Training is a plus.

Mentor: I'm built light, and function best as a caster of some sort. Healing is a critical skill. Oddly enough, there are quite a few mentors, but Sir Calladan looks like the best for healing.

Party: With Tige, Sir Calladan, and Wulfwe, we have a fairly martial, fairly serious party composition. Assuming I can't just spontaneously learn magic, I'll pick up skirmishing from Tige and Healing from Calladan to be some hybrid Monk-Cleric. Tige and Calladan might get into philosophical arguments, but it would be interesting, if not cordial. Ideally, we will do standard good-adventure things like hunt bandits and protect villages, and eventually Wulfwe would find another purpose in life or otherwise resolve her past. If Calladan has his way, all, or most all of us might turn to altruism and join the order.

Overall thoughts: I like how this came together. Unlike more "build everything" CYOAs, you give us a buncha characters and make them interact. I think the hardest thing might be developing a quest for the players to tackle. I was able to generate one from having a characters with a mysterious past and a character with a strong worldview. I think character and builds without a strong background or goal will make it hard for the player to develop their quest or overall goal.

You developed this rapidly and provided a quest framework with only 3 choices. Impressive job I say.

>>54456516
hm... I'll try to add more clarity without "over-defining" things. It's meant to be that you have the potential to learn anything, but it would be easiest to learn from your mentor or other companions. Mentor is more a mentor because they are showing you the ways of the world, than because you are learning their specific abilities.

You had a list of all the RWBY waifu's, and you picked for of them to bonk. And each one had a special ability that came with picking them, in addition to group bonuses. So you picked Emerald, so now fucking a girl would turn her into a loyal minion, and then you picked Arslan, and then you had the team bonus where fucking a girl turned her skin brown over time.

I haven't found it in the archive, so my only options right are go looking through all the archived cyoa threads, or hope someone here has it.

>>
>>54457873
A vampire count, a -normal- Hapsburg count, a galactic count, or you as some sort of esoteric one of a kind particle count in some numeric system?

Cause each of those sounds awesome but hard to put in CYOA format (except the first one ironically enough)

We'll there have already been at least two CYOAs with "math vampire" powers as inspired by Count von Count from sesame street.

>Bride
Tianna

This one is tough, just like Vampire Brides was. Tianna, Maurelle, and Elfie are my top choices, but they're all so damn quirky. I think Elfie and Maurelle would eventually drive my batshit with their optimism and pessimism respectively, so I'll go with Tianna. God knows at least she'll keep things fresh.

>Contract
True Love, Mutual Minor
Interests, Mutual Minor
Attraction, Mutual Minor
Libido, Mutual Minor
Empathy, Mutual Minor
Dominance, Your Minor
Support, Mutual Minor
Others, Your Minor

Tough stuff. I'm comfortable with the Your Minor Advantage for Others, since Titania's little blurb seems to indicate she's down for that anyway. It'll be a little tough to deal with her feelings and interests intruding into my thoughts, given the out-there nature of the Changelings, but maybe it will give me some insight.

>Fae Aspect
Pointy Ears
Fairy Eyes (6)
Horns (5)
Antlers (4)
Tongue (3)
Plant Life (1)
Wings (0)

Horns and Antlers? Not sure how that's going to look. Maybe combine them into Horntlers.

>Public Works
Fetch Factory
Fantastical Familiars

It may take some time, but my next priorities would be Heartstone for infrastructure, reclaiming the Dark City, reestablishing the Seasons, and reviving the Spritewell. The two I choose were simply to appease the wife and Nesbit, since he was nice enough to help me with all of this.

Not exactly a galactic count, you'd get to choose your own nobility title and the smaller fries were more mobile while the big fishes were more powerful. A specialized galactic count would be somewhat different, something like, here there are x threats, these are the houses you can marry with, these are the other niggas that have a vital resource and these guys are pissed at you, these are your genetic augs, these are the planets near your starting point and shit. It would be like stardust meets supersoldier crossed with zodiac brides but with more pollitics.

I'll make money selling the alraune's fruit and perfumes and the sheep girl's wool, and then spend the rest of my time getting my brains fucked out by the succubus. Fae Aspect:

Public Works: Mousways, Fetch Factory, Dark City

The Ghast King, the Missing Monarch, the Silent Footfalls, and the Fucking Moose Giant; Fairy King Urdon goes by many titles, many given to him and a few purposely spread for propaganda, but the moniker he lives up to the best is that of the Spy Lord. Not much goes on within or outside of the Land of the Fae without him knowing, or at least, not for long.

Tales abound of foreign enemies seeking to infiltrate the fairy lands simply disappearing into thin air after meeting with a looming giant in the dark; a reminder to the Fairy People of their Unseen Ruler's protective hand as well as his uncomfortably pervasive grasp on all that goes on in their realm.

Wife: Maurelle

Public Works: Heartstone, Sun’s Tail, Seasons

The Happy Prince Baum, beloved of his domain. He wanders the land of fairies as he likes, his appearance like the brilliant morning star to his devoted subjects who hold him dearly in their hearts. With him always is his dear wife Maurelle, each like the sun and moon as, some say, the Sun Sprite's radiance and good cheer has even smitten the reclusive Dark Elf people.

Under his rule, the Dark and Light Elf peoples have been united as they have never been before or ever will be again and, with the return of autumn, fall, and winter to the realm, his subjects have come to call him the Seasonal Lord, the grand uniter.

Instead of used goods 'turning pure' Which is impossible since they've already been defiled, why not go the route of turning a perverted girl into a sweet and innocent angel, by showing her how much you love her, gently kissing and caressing, and cleaning her of her degenerate mind. Watching her blush and stutter like crazy at all the pure handholding you'll do to her.

>>
>>54460367
Don't mistake me for some rabid purityfag, yes I prefer my waifus virgin but I'm in no way demanding there be no waifus with more lustfull personalities. I like harems and stuff like that with multiple participants, but once you start adding love to the equation it just feels wrong.
>>
>>54460296
Why does it work for guys? Why does it appeal to women?
>>
>>54460367
Just to add my 2 cents to the pile.
If you're going to pick a waifu for the sole purpose of fucking and the cyoa's focus is sexual, anyone will do, pure girls and sluts who have more experience if that's you thing. But if you're picking a waifu Specifically with the cyoa focused on who you want to Fall In Love With, (which most of the cyoas here are focused about. And I assume what most purity fags get mad about) Then there is literally no reason to have waifus who have fucked multiple guys unless you want 'Muh Sexually Experienced', In that case why do you want some other man to make her fuck her when you can delevop her yourself?
>>
>>54460469
Simple human reproductive instincts: manwhore - successful male who is chosen by many females to reproduce, which means it's good genes, whore - a female who fails in choosing best reproduction partner and instead reproduces with anyone, bad genes.

If we're being somewhat realistic, and cyoas can be realistic, then I'd argue an adult, virgin woman is likely to have severe mental problems especially in this day and age. I'd be freaked out if the 24y old girl I was dating told me she was a virgin.

>>54460544
I agree with your first statement but your second is bogus. A girl having had many partners in no way implies bad genes. In tribal times girls would fuck all the Chads and not particularly care which one impregnated them. It could even be argued the girl with bad genes is the one who remains a virgin and has one monoganous relationship in her life with an average or even below-average guy. In tribal times only 20% of men reproduced. That's normal and good for the species.

You're a fucking pussy for not making her an unvirgin as soon as possible and getting into a shotgun wedding. You're the worst for not marrying her as soon as she expose she's a virgin.
>>
>>54460542
Depends on the CYOA, and how fantasy/wish catering it is.

Let me be clear, wish fufillment CYOAs are perfectly fine and fun, but they shouldn't be the only type. Its okay to have more realistic ones (even if they are still fantasy based), and in reality then use sometimes girls will have had sex with people before meeting you.

Mostly though, jesus I'm tired of authors having to be careful about accidentally triggering a cuckstorm everytime they write a girl that hasn't been locked in a tower without male contact all her life.
>>
>>54460611

Your post makes no sense. Someone having a sexual history doesn't make them incapable of love and loyalty. Just like being a virgin doesn't make someone more capable of love and loyalty. This whole discussion is ridiculous though because 24y old virgins don't exist outside of cyoas.
>>
>>54460699
I'm not even sure what that guy is on about. Women are perfectly good for a fuck until at least 40, and most of them are good well beyond that.

If you want KIDS, now that's a bit of a different story, but 24 is still a good 6+ years before you need to start worrying about that.

This is bullshit. The vast majority of tribal societies we know about practice either monogamy or polygyny (man with multiple wives), and all of our instincts point to that too. You're going to need some evidence for your bonobo bullshit, anon.

That guy's better example would have been paternity, in that a man doesn't have any sort of interest in taking care of a woman unless he KNOWS she's been exclusive with him, since otherwise he's wasting his time raising someone elses genes. This is the more likely reason why men care more about purity than women.

>>54462090
Using one study as evidence is poor form. Using a genetics study for a social field is also not the best.

However, ignoring that, if we take this study and its conclusions as absolute fact without carefully examining their methodology and judging if it's actually correct (because I don't have time for that shit), what that would actually suggest is polygyny, not monkey orgies.

Seriously anon, if women did as you suggested (just fuck all the men whenever), there would actually be a MUCH higher variety in male DNA, rather than this 'bottleneck.' Less male variety means more selectivity on the part of the women, which argues against random sex.
>>
>>54462204
You keep posting it because your culture prizes casual sex or you're desperate to white knight in hopes someone will sleep with you.
>>
>>54462147

I said no such thing. I said that they all fucked the Chads together. That is still a possibility. It all depends on whether these few men who procreated were in some form of polygamous relationships with their women or whether the few Chads just shared dozens of girls.
>>
>>54462220
See >>54462209 for further commentary.

8,000 years ago is actually closer to the END of caveman times. That's when people in the Middle East, North Africa, China, and India first started settling down and creating permanent cities with stonework (so we can actually find evidence of them, chances are completely wooden settlements are even older.) For some armchair theorizing, I predict that the more regular supply of food allowed men to support a larger number of wives.

I had a hard choice between Orla and Shaylee. Maurelle was tempting for what she could provide (the internet), but I'm not a big fan of drugs and I might be able to get that regardless. With Shaylee I can use the mousways for myself, and Orla would provide her army, meaning I don't have to worry too much about defense with my other choices.

>True Love: Mutual Minor
>Interests: Mutual Minor
>Attraction: Mutual Major
>Libido: Mutual Minor
>Empathy: Her Minor
>Dominance: None
>Support: None
>Others: None
Half of the "your benefit" options would make her practically a slave, and while that may be somewhat practical with a realm to run, it's not the way I want to do things. Her benefit on empathy actually seems like it would be more helpful to me.

>Pointy Ears
>Wings

I really want the antlers benefit, but I absolutely do not want antlers themselves. So much so I'd be willing to drop Magic Fingers and spend 2 points on the effect alone. Aside from just being out of place with what I'm going for, they pretty much get in the way and are a pain in the neck, literally. Also of course I'm going to take the girl option. I could take "sex" but that would make other things more weird.

>Bloom
>Dark City
>Mousways
A lot of the options seem to come with major drawbacks or risks. Random emotions from the spicy wind, monsters potentially going out of control with Breeding Rights etc. Bloom generally makes the realm "stronger" without as many risks. Dark City has its risks, but I want to get on good terms with the Dark Elves, hopefully I can make use of some of the things that Maurelle offered that way. I'd probably pick either Heartstone or Spritewell if I went with Orla, though I like the idea of giving something to the Little People anyway.

All else being equal, I'll tend to run toward superintelligence (or at least strong mental boosts) and immortality of various forms.

Also in general, I'll tend to be more attracted to utility than pure offence. Well, for the most part. Basically, given the choice between being able to quickly spam fireballs, and that's it, vs some form of circle/rune/ritual magic where I can engineer a broader array of effects, "programming" more complex magics, at the price of basically being useless in combat (since much slower), I'll tend toward the latter.

For physical boosts, I'll tend to lean toward things like speed/agility boost, higher strength/weight ratio, and endurance and durability boosts. (Basically I want the sensation of my body being able to easily let me move the way I want to, so can parkour all over or whatever.)

Let's see, what else.... Not going to bother going into the more magical realm-y of my preferences, so I'll leave it at that.
>>

One woman and multiple men is bad from an evolutionary standpoint because it severely limits the production capabilities of 'new blood'. A woman can only be impregnated by a single man at a time, and she has a 9-10 month 'cooldown'.

One man and many women makes sense, since a man can impregnate multiple women.

There's a reason male-focused harems aka alpha males with multiple female mates are found in the animal kingdom.
>>
>>54460634
>the entire world shares my fetish
>I base this on absolutely nothing
>>
>>54463489
You're ignoring the patrician's choice. All the women are freely shared by a minority of men consisting of the all-around best of them.

Only the best would get to reproduce this way and because it's impossible to know who fathered who they'd all take care of and protect eachother. Unsuitable men (so the majority of men) are disposed of or discarded into eunuch/servant roles.
>>
>>54463557
>they'd all take care of and protect eachother
This isn't how human psychology works. Humans aint horses.
>>
>>54462480
Ah, alright. That makes more sense. As is, was a bit "one of these things is not like the others..."

Actually, you may have answered this, but if so, I missed it: What would be involved in doing more of the public works? ie, what efforts/etc would be needed to open up more of the "locks" our predecessor put in place?
>>
>>54463568
There are plenty of small communities all around the world where women are freely shared and children are considered communal. They seem to work out fine.
>>
>>54463557
There's nothing patrician about that, just because you have a fetish for wife-sharing doesn't make it the superior choice.
>>
>>54463557
Is this the mythical "alpha cuck"?
>>
>>54463608
I can't imagine anyone not wanting to live in a society of only beautiful, talented people where everyone can fuck everyone. Shit, this is how the elite are going to live in XXX years while automatons or castrated drones work in the underground.
>>
>>54463557
Considering a man's time is limited and the men are going to prioritize the women they like the best, and the women will do their best to do the same, the glut of women who are getting little or no attention are going to hate this arrangement as are the lowest tier of men allowed into this 'minority of men' who are getting the least attention themselves, along with all the uninvited men who are working for nothing. So the vast majority is society is dissatisfied, including several within the inner circle. Your shit just plain isn't going to work. Dissatisfied 'upper class' men would be constantly backstabbing and ensuring their rivals die or upsetting the entire system, lower class men would be sabotaging the system and work on a rebellion along with fucking any woman they can corner/is willing, and the dissatisfied women are going to be working with the former two groups of men, trying to escape the system, and actively looking to fuck lower class men just so anyone is paying attention to them. Then, the upper class men who aren't dissatisfied? They're going to be using methods, real and imagined, to try and determine paternity, try their hardest to kill or ignore children they don't like to ensure the ones they think are theirs do the best, backstabbing rivals so their attempts to do the same fail, and generally trying to hoard their preferred women and not let their rivals touch them.

Your system would fall apart.

Have you read a modern female romance novel targeted at woman?

All of them are basically endless variations of the same story; 6'4" narcissist chiseled stud with a 10" dick who is also a businessman/Lord/pirate/werewolf/biker/gang member/fireman/doctor and has had hundreds of women before somehow falls in unconditional love with a plain jain past her prime in her late 20s or early 30s, there might even be a beta bf/husband already but he'll turn out to be abusive and/or unworthy of her and he'll probably get his ass kicked by the stud at some point.

A succesful playboy becoming devoted to a plain jane is essential womancore taste.
