Also I tried. However I couldn't get through S1 of Supergirl. So I'm dropping it. She's just so boring. Almost everyone was boring. Also very SJW for no reason.

If people want I could add races to Arrowverse jump. Kryptonian/Daxamite, Super Gorilla, Green/White Martian, Misc Alien (Basically you're an alien but only in appearance nothing special beyond looking alien).

Stand Name: 『Magic Carpet Ride』

Destructive Capacity: C
Speed: A
Range: C
Durability: B
Precision: A
Development Potential: A

Stand Ability: 『Magic Carpet Ride』 has the ability to perpetuate and reproduce supernatural events or feats which cannot be attributed by the laws of science and are believed to be supernatural in origin by anyone inside of its effective range. The ability has near infinite potential and is capable of accomplishing almost anything but comes with many stringent limitations that stop it from being essentially all-powerful. While the Stand is almost unlimited in its power and potential, capable of reconstructing almost any event which is ascribed to the supernatural by anyone within its range, it is limited to events which the user can convince others are supernatural or that they already believe are supernatural. In order to make a playing card actually disappear, for example, the user would need to convince at least a single person within their range of several meters that the playing card has disappeared and that it was the work of magical forces. The effect persists even outside of its range once an action is performed but will cease if the individuals who bought into its authenticity are convinced beyond doubt that the event was not supernatural in origin.

>>54446616

>>
>>54446586
I'd rather not, it's a little bare bones at the moment. I've switched over to a 100/100/200/200/400/400/600/600 model for the Origin perks, which are quite far from readable.

It's basically the Author. Your life and fate become entwined with specific genre conventions or a set of rules. Like your life becoming one of a Detective - you always have murders happen nearby, and happen to always find just enough clues to find the perpetrator.
>>
>>54446949
Probably start a war. It'll get exposed in like 10 years anyway. I mean how the fuck do they expect to hide from millions of cameras?
>>

>>
>>54446949
Varied. Differenct nations, different cultures, different religions, different people. It's not an easy thing to predict, but overall, I'd say badly. Most religions won't like magic being real. Most egomaniacial people don't like not being as 'special'. And most of the 'muggle' world is capitalst/consumerist and so would look to exploit or destroy magic.
You may want to get your jumper to control the reaction rather than just try to mange the reactions.
>>
>>54446949
In the US:
"So, mind controlling wizards have been erasing our memories, altering our historical records to remove all mention of themselves, and keeping super cures for everything from AIDs to cancer for themselves?"
"According to [insert popular media figure], yeah."
"Well, shit. Grab your guns, we're gonna stake out [insert publicly known wizard sighting location]."
>>

>super cures for everything from AIDs to cancer

Annette already got the explanation for what Beyonds are, so... my Beyond makes me a character in a tragedy. But while I am the character our dear readers follow, I am not the actual subject of said tragedies, merely someone who observes the tribulations of others. The entire thing is heavily inspired by Umineko, as you might guess by its name.
>>
>>54446949
Without some sort of common enemy: badly.
If you want to be a moral ambiguous villain, make a enemy that requires everyone to unite to beat. Sure there will still be a shitshow, but a common enemy brings people together.

That WAS supposedly one of the reasons they kept up the masquerade. Somethingsomething Rowling said at some point "a muggle with a shotgun would win every time". The truth coming out in a culture where anyone can get a gun would be bad news for wizards.

>>
>>54447122
Mostly the fact that the wizard government is very corrupt and/or incompetent during the time of the setting.

Even if wizards did get there shit together, muggles still have technology that most UK wizards simply aren't aware of.

That said, we dont know much about the rest of the world and they could stand much better at hiding themselves.

I believe the argument assumes neither of them prepared, it's just in a vacuum, and a guy with a shotgun could aim and fire faster than a wizard could get relevant spells out, or something.
>>
>>54447382
Except maybe trying to kill a baby. That was kind of wrong.

They don't need to hit the cities. Aim for the schools. Hell Hogwarts is in the middle of the scottish highlands. I come from Scotland, there is literally fuck all that will be missed up there. With the schools gone, a number of generations of wizards go with them.

>even Death Eaters who preyed on muggles.
Happened in England. You know, the place where you can't buy a butter knife if you don't have a license.
>>
>>54447404
Something else to bear in mind, that in a true vacuum they'd only have the tools and stuff they'd normally have on them. Wizards always have their wands on them, but very few muggles always carry firearms on them.

>>54447467
As a fellow Scot, I'd ask you kindly not to recommend people to bomb our counties fictional counterparts based on so-called shortcomings of our actual nation.
there is a lot more than 'fuck all' in Scotland, lad.
>>
>>54447368
Is it ever actually SHOWN to block physical objects though?
Even if it does, it's a spell that (by all accounts) has to be continually cast or is a one and done. It's not like you can cast it when you wake up and be safe the entire day. So that means that in the time it takes the wizard (remember, we're talking average wizard not highly trained wizard James Bond or whatever) to 1) recognize that there's an immediate threat, 2) bring up their wand from wherever it's stashed, 3) determine that the Protego is the best course of action, 4)enunciate the spell; all in the time it takes the muggle to bring up his weapon and pull the trigger. That's...unlikely.

Of course, that's even before you get to the fact that the majority of wizards (at least in Bongland) seem to be incompetant. Remember, the MoM bought a fuckton of PRANK ITEMS from the twins specifically because a lot of it's members can't do a shield spell
>>
>>54447518
Never said fuck all in Scotland mate. Said there was fuck all in the highlands.
>>
>>54447368
Protego maxima probably could but the whole point of Fred and George's protective clothing line was that most wizards didn't learn the spell-

>>54447427
-that said, doesn't the protective clothing only work on spells?

That said the real issue, in my opinion, is training. Im fairly certain that in a one on one duel between a combat trained wizard and a combat trained muggle, the wizard is more likely to win.

That said there are more muggles than wizards, muggles are cheating bastards, and we don't know how much of the world's wizards are combat trained.
>>
>>54447517
Remember the time scale, anon. Things were a lot looser regulated back then. But if you are right anyway, then isn't the idea that muggles with shotguns could stand a chance against wizards pointless if no significant number of muggles can even get a hold of them?

>>54447537
Bu.. But the bonnie scenery. The heather and the wee bunies. Think of the wee bunnies, lad. Think o' the hills and valleys and lochs!

>>54447528
Point. So Dumbledore, Voldemort and I would be fine. The high ranking Aurors and Death Eaters would be fine. As would anyone else in the competent minority, but Stan Shunpike and the bellboy at the Ministry would be less so.
>>
>>54447517
To be fair, I'm pretty sure this is before that was a thing.
That being said, as far as I know, it was never super popular to have a pistol for home defense in Jolly Old.

Also, we know exactly nothing about how the Death Eaters conducted their attacks, but in all likelyhood, they did it in the middle of the night or didn't even bother breaking in and just fiendfyre' the place

Muggles aren't idiots. Before attempting any kind of military action, they'd make a muggleborn or their family quietly disappear into a testing facility to figure out how magic works. They'd recruit disaffected muggleborns or squibs to do intel gathering on what sorts of threats wizards can bring to the table.

The problem of "Wizards vs Muggles" as one of numbers: In Wizarding Britain, there were ~3000 people. Of those, a third were in Hogwarts.

There were 56 million people in England in 1990.

The odds are not in favor of wizards.

Modern muggles have better communication channels, far more experience in dealing with identifying compromised agents, and better long range options for removing individuals or groups of threats.

If attention is drawn, those muggle repelling charms become nothing more than painting a "this is a target, all inside are hostile and armed insurgents."

That's pretty cool. Are you just avoiding Jumps that happen to be vsbattles wet dreams or will you merely refrain from picking up powerful abilities?

I know this is unrelated and I'm not sure if this is made by jumpchain or not.

I tried to find who made this but never find out. I just want to know what this means.

Does this mean the entire CYOA scenario was a trap and you are actually in a lovecraftian horror setting with the only hint towards it being pic related?

Yes I have genuine autism and will be bothered for days if I don't get to know what the author's implications were.

But they can find people who have the gene at, say, six or seven years old and indoctrinate them into hating not approved wizards. Recruit a couple of muggleborns or have your sleeper infiltrate the Wizards to acquire Intel and spread dissension and boom. Now you have your own pet wizards
>>
>>54448085
From what I recall: Demiurge created the world as it currently is, with all the genie stuff being a stopgap measure to stop the people's dissatisfaction from breaking everything down. Lovecraftian things wants to end this shit due to reasons. Every person with Broken Facade exponentially increases the dissolution of the current world, or something like that. The eldritch entities don't seem to actually be malicious.

Alright say Wizards and Muggles don't immediately try to kill one another, what would the world come to look like thirty years down the road after tensions have lessened?

K9 (Legendary Cyberhound): My first companion and best friend from my first jump, Fallout. He served with the california state police before the war and survived two-hundred years in a post-apocalyptic wasteland as a loyal companion to my family for generations before I got him. Then got upgraded during the intermission to Fallout 4 by the Brotherhood of Steel, granting him the ability to speak and a well-developed sense of humor.

ED (Legendary Eyebot): A deactivated unit of the orginial duraframe eyebot program pulled from the wreckage at adams airforce base. I fixed him up to serve as a long range scout and traveling compaion during the intermission trek up to Boston, has the unique habit of communicating through snippets of radio dialogue he picks up and records. Received an upgrade to a Prototype Machine Caliber body during Gargantia.

Zoey (Charming Local): Affectionately known as Squidgirl, native of a earth Hideauze community near what would eventually become the Thunder God's Cult. She saved me with a symbiote after I was nearly killed trying to protect her people from Kugel and Striker's first hunts. Our unique relationship developed over the course of my stay in Gargantia from there.

Only three jumps in, but I'm trying to decide where to go and what to do next with them and myself next. Either Gunnm or CATastrophe, and Nier: Automata will be penciled in somewhere after, want to keep it post-apocalyptic for now.

Iji has nanofields that can be implanted into people, granting them superhuman abilities and defenses against really powerful alien weapons. One of the characters even has a nanoshield that can protect her against orbital strikes.

Interrupting ya'll's daft, daft bullshit to ask a question because the only way to defeat dickery is by being constructive.

A hearthstone will be a freebie, but would ya'll appreciate the plans to make more? For context: pic related is a hearthstone. You bind it to Your Home (or if you're a traveling adventurer, an inn or tavern in your current place-of-business) and when you need to skip a fuck-long-amount of travel or really need to get the fuck out of dodge, you channel it and it transports you to the bind point.

Works between dimensions (Outland-to-Azeroth and vice versa), planes of existence (Emerald Dream-to-Goldshire as one example), and other shit. Wouldn't let you Hearthstone yourself from New York City to Stormwind until Post-jump, but afterwards is anybody's game.

Maybe? I remember in game by Legion you had three regular hearthstones: the one you could set anywhere, the one for your garrison, and the one for Dalaran.

Since the garrison one definitely included both planetary and time travel you could probably do some weird shit.

That said there should probably be a definite rule to where you can set your personal hearthstone like that maybe the location has to have a function bed (or whatever equivalent for altforms) or that the location has to be relatively safe or something.

tl;dr version of it is: Kairozdormu used a magical relic he created using stones gathered from a free-floating-in-time-location called The Timeless Isle to transport himself, Wrathion, and Garrosh to an Alternate Draenor, long before Gul'dan's plays to sell the orcs to the legion.

It's some fucked up shit lemme tell you.

Hey, two questions/requests. One's pretty nothing but the other I don't mind if you turn it down due to how it'd snowball, but...

1. In the item section, could we get replenishing drink and food? Like the liquor option in Exalted Infernals. Except hopefully more plentiful.
2. Could we get an upgrade for A Celebratory Heart to bring festivites from past and (once we actually go through them, of course) future jumps along with us, in addition to those from WoW's world?
>>
>>54451227
Considering that it's pretty boring and doesn't do anything you can't do already with other perks, probably not too long. It's impressive for giving all of that in one package, I admit, and since it's a species option and there are perks to convert people to your species that has some utility for empowering others. But it's still got nothing you can't get elsewhere, and I predict that those exact words will be used in attempts to get people to stop talking about it before too long.

PtV is actually really bad at long-term planning due to the fact that it can't predict trigger events. Every time a new parahuman triggers, which more or less every other day, Contessa has to start a whole new path to account for them. It also can't predict the Endbringers, so every three months her paths get shaken up hugely. So I actually do believe that this is the best she can do. Yeah, she's a dumb plot device, but she's a dumb plot device that's up against several other dumb plot devices. It all balances out, more or less.

If we're only talking about base strength, then yes, I will give you that. If we're talking about perks that enable you to train strength, then no, there are many better. Toriko, for example, will make you strong enough to punch apart mountains even before the timeskip and resulting escalation if you keep to your training and eat lots of tasty things.
>>

I meant straight up base strength, yeah. We have quite a few jumps where you can train and eventually get that strong, but Ultimate Life Form has that kind of strength as a feature.

To be fair, even the plans of the Entities can be overridden by the shards themselves. Daniel Hebert was supposed to have Administrator, but it decided on its own to jump to Taylor.

>>54451556
If we're talking jumps, I find Fallout's "all your other powers are scaled down to fit Fallout" bit to be annoying. As for the setting itself, it's just fun (despite the "the world is grim and shitty" parts.)

Alright, good. Sorry, I'm just too used to seeing people complain about how strength perks were all crap and not worth taking. That used to be a pretty common complaint, I guess the frustration from that has left an imprint. It's not something that gets said as much these days, though. Power escalation has ended that. Go to God of High School and you can be strong enough to leave craters the size of Rhode Island with a single punch, at base just from perks.
>>
>>54451528
>already planned in two variants...
Sweet.

>eeeeeeeeeh... Feeling a bit leery on this one, mostly as I'm not sure I could make it sound kosher. What ones did you have in mind, as it were?
Honestly? Just bringing modern holidays (Halloween and Christmas) to settings where they wouldn't exist, and resurrecting the OG festivals (think stuff like the pagan festivals that may or may not have been the prototype for the Christian All Hallows' Eve) by going through historical jumps.

The main reason I'm worried is that after enough settings, the Jumper might accidentally jam entire worlds due to people partying too much to actually get shit done. The way I see it- as an example- bringing Dresden Files' Halloween to other places wouldn't let you do the full Darkhallow ritual, since the mystical significance of the date is tied to the setting, and you're just bringing the customs. So I'm not worried about the holidays themselves infringing on other jumps.

Hm, as a Druid, could we learn to take the form of animal spirits besides the Wild Gods of WoW? Like, the animal gods of Exalted, or Amaterasu from Okami?

Also, considering the difference between druid shapeshifted forms of different races, I imagine Titanforged Druids would take on metal/stone animal forms, and so on for the other race modifiers?

And as an aside, hypothetically, if I made a terrible, terrible mistake and gave Xal'atath a human form, how screwed would I be? I imagine she'd effectively be a powerful Shadow Priest/Voidcaller, maybe with some extra corruptive oomph?
>>
>>54451731
No problem, I can see where you're coming from. I did grab the durability perks though, because it's embarrassing (and painful) when you can level cities with magic and still get punched out by a normal person.

Man, there's so many to choose from. Imawabi No Dakini has some real potential there, despite the massively shortened run time of it. You could do some /really/ creative stuff with that setting. Spirits attaching themselves to people, whole cults draining the magic off captured spirits to fuel their own powers, all sorts of monsters just waiting in the weeds.

It's an expensive Jump to build for, but damn does it make for some impressive writer's fuel.

On an unrelated note, Night in the Woods skeleton is complete. Now it's just a matter of writing everything up. Unfortunately Real Life decided to steal ALL of my Monday off away from me, so I doubt I'll have it ready to show until Wednesday.

Val, quick question for Trace the Blood. According to the description, my descendants would be unnaturally submissive and easy to force my will upon in my direct presence. However, it also says that those with strong will can resist this. So, do they just resist the 'imposing my will upon them' part, or the 'unnaturally submissive' part as well? How far does this resistance go?

>I am making Dies Irae too and all

It means they're submissive for whatever kind of person they are. A very headstrong person is still going to be confident and hard to influence but it'll be easier then normal. An already average or cowardly person will become extremely easy to influence and order it around. Think of it like a debuff to their confidence around you.

>To be fair, most things that can replicate it either require someone to consent to a mystical deal, or for you to devour their soul. For obvious reasons, some people might find that inconvenient.
No, Ultimate Life Form lets you copy powers by understanding them and reproducing them with your own abilities. It explicitly can't do anything you don't have the intrinsic capability for. So really, it's nothing that you couldn't also do with other advanced shapeshifting powers, advanced senses to get a thorough scan of your target, and hypertech/magic perks.

Lorwyn/Shadowmoor is probably my favorite. No humans - elves have horns and hooves, fire elementals, giants, mermen, scarecrows, treefolk, halflings, fae are DICKS. Every so often happy fun land gets turned into nightmare world.

Theros is a Greek Mythology-inspired world. Gods and monsters, heroes and spirits. Harpies, giants, hydra, gorgons, merfolk, humans, satyrs, centaur, etc.

Ravnica is slavic-themed low-tech urban fantasy centered around guilds aligned with pairs of colors. They clash to promote their own ideologies, and work together to keep the world running.

Alara is actually five adjacent planes that fractured, each with a triad of colors determining their theme. Where one ends up could be a hellish land of necromancy with rivers of blood and mountains of skulls, or an idyllic place with rolling hills and chivalrous knights that ride giant lions.
>>
>>54452374
Uh, no, that's completely wrong. No amount of "shapeshifting" will grant you Devil Fruit abilities, Semblances or fiat-based Worm Powers. It allows you to gain any discreet power so long as you have the same basic "power source". In fact, it explicitly /doesn't/ allow you to gain skills or talents you could theoretically develop on your own.

In my mergechain, I'm combining it with Dodgeball and Sports. Using the different setting option in GuP to make it medieval-themed. So now everything is about dueling. Honor duels to "first blood" are super common, HEMA and fencing are popular sports for everyone. Lots of things get decided or are influenced by dueling champions representing various groups. Two companies competing for a contract might settle who gets it with a duel, for example.
>>
>>54452502
Alright, thanks Val.
>>
>>54452454
>No amount of "shapeshifting" will grant you Devil Fruit abilities, Semblances or fiat-based Worm Powers.
That's wrong on all accounts. Devil Fruits can be scientifically analyzed and reproduced. Semblances are soul/aura based, and technology that manipulates the soul exists in RWBY. Shard powers are explicitly the result of alien hypertechnology. If you have your own hypertechnology perks, you can make things that reproduce the effects of any of those, and then use shapeshifting to make your body into that technology. You can do that with any power, if you've got the science and magic (and magitech, to integrate them) perks, and a shapeshifting power capable of sufficient complexity. Just like Ultimate Life Form does.

>In fact, it explicitly /doesn't/ allow you to gain skills or talents you could theoretically develop on your own.
Yes, because you're not copying their skills, you're scanning them and copying their beings. I'm not saying that you're developing skills that mimic their skills, I'm saying you're developing skills to manipulate your being to imitate their bodies and souls.

From the Nier: Automata jump, I used the 50cp 'import or create' option to make two OC androids: 42B(E) and her operator, 17O. 42B was originally assigned to observe (and if necessary eliminate) a rogue A mode. Whereas I had to keep her from finding out that the war was supposed to be stalled forever.

In the Mother: CogDis jump, I took my Nightmare as a companion, with all my powers up to that point, then in Peter Pan I imported them as my own shadow.

In The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, I went Slider (drop in), but there's a freebie Little Sister of My Own. That actually worked out somehow as she was a Slider from another universe who adopted me as her older sibling after the original was killed in apocalyptic shenanigans brought about from the Strange Aeons drawback
(fanwanked she had a local multiverse version of a Rick and Morty portal gun, since the Little Sister companion doesn't have cp or perks except It’s Called Moe and Perfectly Normal).

No, it's technology. The Entities are living, yeah, but their powers are due to technology they've designed or stolen (I believe Wildbow has said that their gravity-manipulation tech was stolen from one of the worlds they've parasitized) and then built into their bodies. So that's biotech, not just inherent abilities of their bodies.

You can use epic magic, because epic magic only came into existence after the change. The way it worked is that basically, beforehand, the magic system scaled upwards infinitely, theoretically. Know how there are only 9 ranks of spells, sometimes 10 before epic magic? Well you used to be able to keep going, getting 11-14 etc rank magic which did increasingly bullshit stuff. Once Mystra made her change, magic was capped, and epic magic was literally invented as a work around by power wizards. In some ways it's weaker, some ways it's more convenient, but yeah, the stuff they had in the past wasn't epic magic.

Actually, the first goddess of magic, Mystryl, embodied the Weave. She sacrificed herself to protect the Weave from a Netherese mage's idiocy (Karsus made a spell to steal the power of a god.)

Her successor was Mystra, who governs magic, but isn't the Weave herself. She died in the Time of Troubles (this was the 2e->3e change point.)

Her successor was the mage Midnight, who took the name Mystra to keep things simple for the church.

Man, I think we were arguing different points entirely this whole time, then, since that's not what I was saying. Or at least not what I was trying to say. Mystra (Midnight) and Kelemvor are two of the only non-shit gods because they ascended from good aligned adventurers and tried to use their phenomenal cosmic power to fix things in Fearun.

They were then put on trial by the other gods for "incompetence through humanity", so they're legally required to not be too nice but the other gods.

Starting Plot says we get 100 kilometres squared (100km x 100km). Great Tracts Of Land says we get 100 square kilometres (10km x 10km).

I'm hoping it's the former as we need about ten million people to rival Tokyo/NYC and if it's the latter we'd have to build a city shaped like a Borg Cube to fit them all.

Also, is it even possible to build a rival to Tokyo and NYC in only fifty years without using serious OOJ perks? Just how fast do Cims breed?

Fight various supernatural beings. The main villains are the Khaos Brigade, a group made of three factions, all of whom deserve to get their asses kicked: The Evil Dragons, who are evil dragons, pretty on the nose there. The Old Satans, who are the old nobility of Hell from back when devils were all imperious and arrogant, and want to get back to the days when devils stole souls and tormented humans. They're assholes. Finally you have the Hero Faction, who are a bunch of chuunis descended from mythological heroes who think this makes them so much better than the rest of the world, and want to start a huge war against every other supernatural faction in existence so they can prove how cool they are by beating them up. They're all assholes, they all deserve to get a good thrashing. Ignore the people telling you to kill Issei. He's actually a pretty decent person who just acts out due to crippling shyness and self-esteem issues causing him to overcompensate. Still a pervert, but he gets much less annoying once he grows some confidence.

Is Destiny a valid element? What about Fate as it's opposing element?

No, and also that doesn't make any sense. How is Destiny the opposite of Fate? I don't get your logic at all.

As to Destiny vs Fate... they seem very similar to me, more aligned than opposite.

Although "biology" should probably be out in many quotes. It's more like interdimensional crystal computer-brain than anything fleshy. (And I think the Ultimate Being is very much rooted in flesh, considering he's thing is containing the DNA of every creature on Earth).
>>
>>54453706

>more like interdimensional crystal computer-brain than anything fleshy
If it's alive, it's biology, regardless of how fleshy it is. A silicon-based lifeform would fall under the purview of biology, even if an entirely new branch of biology incorporating a lot of mineralogy would be necessary.
>>
>>54453559
Most jumps would not allow that. The only one really coming to mind is Generic Xianxia with the Mystical Being's low tier perks. Anyway, Destiny and Fate are the same thing in a vacuum. But you can paint them as different things depending on the specifics behind them. Like, if Destiny is the grand design of the world, then Fate can be the course of life ordained for a single specific person. On the other hand, you could also say Fate is the natural course of things, while Destinies are created by the hands of beings in order to control how things progress.

tldr depends on the setting
>>
>>54453724
Can't point you to exactly when in the LN, but it keeps getting more and more edgy. Turn back.
>>
>>54453708
Well, if we're describing "fleshy" as "primarily carbon based" then sure.
We don't know what their composition is, but nothing says "biology is only about carbon-based life." That's just the only thing we have for reference here on earth.
>>
>>54453691
I think he means In Nomine, where Destiny is the Best Ending for a person's life and Fate is the Worst Ending. Achieving your Destiny lands you in Heaven, meeting your Fate lands you in Hell. Not sure what happens if you do both at the same time.

Also wondering how much it varies by person. Imagine a person whose Destiny was "saved a cat from a tree" and whose Fate was "shoplifted a TV" because there's literally no higher high or lower low that specific person can hope to achieve. Imagine someone with that little inherent potential.

Now it feels like I'm talking about myself.
>>
>>54450993
Will there be an equivalent to Paths of Darkness for those on the other side of the Spectrum?
>>
>>54453691

Fate is the pre-ordained course of events that happen no matter what you do or don't do.
Destiny is the pre-ordained course of events that you will shape by your choices and actions.

>Limits
It is unclear. Part of Cultivation is exceeding your own limits, to a certain degree, but even so a dedicated ability can only go so far. At the very least, you should be able to erode your physical and spiritual limits- or do the same to others- but much like human beings can not sustain their maximum theoretical strength (which is only truly seen during times of great stress- you've heard stories of distraught parents performing feats such as lifting cars by themselves, have you not?) permanently, you might blow out your soul or body if you do it too often.

>Relevance
The ultimate in memetics. No mortal meme could hope to survive your disapproval. Even if you were a painfully mediocre memesmith, you could strengthen your own memes in order to spread them worldwide. However, they would still suck, so people would treat them the same as we do rage comics.

>>54453692
A fair point. I was more referring to the "endless spiral of eating things and gaining all their powers until 'overpowered for the setting' is a laughable understatement" aspect of the two series. (To note, the class full of isekai he started with were noted as having 100 in their better stats as 1st-level characters, which was considered cheat-level broken, and they were probably going to hit maybe a thousand once they hit the really high levels. Several chapters after he starts eating things, the MC has gone a few more significant digits past that, and IIRC a few more chapters and he hits a point where he literally breaks the scale and his stats can't be read anymore, probably because the author realized he was going to have to start using scientific notation.)

Though the MC does treat pretty much everyone who isn't his vampire loli love slave (who was sealed away by her people for being too powerful) like absolute trash. He spends pretty much all his time riding around in his magitek humvee shooting random wildlife with his super-railgun which he holds in his magic cyborg arm, and when he inadvertently rescues a random bunnygirl, he just continually beats the shit out of her afterwards because she's grateful for being rescued, and he finds that annoying. He then goes to her village and verbally shits all over everyone there.

Given one of his main defning points is that during his near-death experience he decides his new motto should be "fuck everyone, they're all trash who should die" and specifically includes the girl who spent all her time being nice to him and trying to support him, I'm pretty sure he's heading that direction, yeah.

>Limits
Matches what I was generally expecting, although I was more thinking of imposing limits on others rather than reducing them on myself.
Maybe at higher levels on the Xianxia power scale there would be some weird wank about removing or raising the limits on various things to ludicrous degrees, or other crazy stuff, but at that point you get into the realm of crazy Xianxia bullshit, so...
>Relevance
I was actually thinking of using it to make random people or objects way less important than they otherwise would be, like reducing someone's protagonist level. Or giving someone literal plot armor by making them to relevant to kill.
