No experience of art can be "proven", but it can be explained and assessed assuming the one doing the explaining is recognized as having the correct knowledge. Weekend OC anon here again, I think I've hammered out that short and sweet Space Marine concept I had, with a bit of luck I'll keep the streak alive this weekend after all, even it its just with a silly little thing.

One thing I wanted some feedback on was art choices; it'll come down to what I can get that'll fit at the end of the day, but I'm broadly looking at using either actual models, 80s 90s era art like pic related, or modern, more realistic art. Any preferences?

The tough choice is what do do with the last few points. Witchery 5 and Catmancy 5 are the mandatory options, they give me maximum utility with minimum effort. Their immortality options also complement each other very well, ageless+extra live.

What I really want after that is Charms 4 (or 5, but at least 4). Sadly I can't buy that as a sorceress no matter what. I could spend both items on pre-made charms to fill out 2 of my 3 slots, or I could only buy one and use a potion of witchery to settle for level 3 charms. Stamina, Perception, and Quickness are the ones I want most.

Really I should just go with Average Witch to start with. I don't even want cowtits, I prefer a more lithe body type, but I still want "beautiful" within my preference.

Balancing text and pictures is tricky. The author could for example have text only and let just the personalities speak, but I think that would play against one of the strengths of the CYOA format as well as disregard that physical attraction is important too.
I don't really see it so much as them checking racial boxes off a list (though lets be real, with this author it might literally be that) as much as making sure the visuals are as diverse as their personalities.

The problem with intentionally diverse visuals is both that it feels like ticking off check boxes, and that his choices can actively hurt the profile. 2. The problem with cyoas is that you're already limiting yourself to sexually attractive companions, usually at least. In a regular 2D cyoa you easily get away with that. If your cyoa uses 3D pics you'll soon realize things turn into a sameface blob. Diversity makes it more visually appealing.

I've stated before that AA strikes me more as a sociopath than an autist. Look at The Game of Alice. Some of the stuff written there shows an enormous degree of understanding of human emotions and motivations, but so far we've never seen him actually EXPRESS any, he clearly sees everyone he meets as an asset to be used when needed (like, "so what if this person I enjoyed spending time with once will now become masturbation fodder for anons. The theme of the entire CYOA is realism and realistic balance, and appearance vs personality is perhaps the most archetypal of all considerations when it comes to choosing a partner. Check the CYOA as a whole: a lot of thought clearly went into pairing girls with personality traits 4chan is known to like with physical traits known to trigger it, and the other way around. Most obvious examples:

Arielle, fellow geek+giant boobs (maybe the personality and physical traits this thread places more significance on than any other), paired with her being fat and argumentative (which /cyoag/ famously despises).

Johanna: designated housewife material, but fat (same shtick).

Elizabeth: stereotypical appeal to the most common political views here (blonde submissive conservative American girly girl), but the only one who actively hates geeky hobbies (the biggest deal breaker of all for much of /cyoag/).

Betul, basically tailor made to appeal to the crowd her, then hits you with the bomb of being uncompromisingly Muslim.

Trisha, a personality once again tailor made to appeal to /cyoag/ in particular but black.

Diana, blonde bombshell but also a vapid party girl bimbo, maybe the type /cyoag/ is least likely to go for.

Gloria: perfect gamer waifu (and blonde, thin and non-Jewish, likely to taunt those who had to agonize over Arielle), but "impure" because of her sexual past.

Felicity, built perfectly to appeal to the amazon chasers but without a single shared interest.

Laura, perfect all around choice but won't go out with introverts.

Shanni with her Judaism and communist leanings, etc.

List goes on. I'd call it being deliberately annoying (in a sort of "haha, I'm dangling your perfect waifu in front of your face BUT [she has a single physical or personality trait I know very well you'd never accept]"), but since that's the point of the CYOA I guess that's just it.

If 'd do anything with more Essence choices it would be gaining some kind of flying to the avatar but I don't think that's as important as the Influence Choices I've made. I think the big theme is aerial in nature... fitting for a world reaching for the skies that some of them find... something reaching back. Something cold and swift as the north wind but also strangely beautiful, electrifying to heart and mind alike. Certainly alluring, maybe scary... which is more powerful likely depends on the mortal

All my godly minions share a few traits: Speed, Flight, and Perpetual. They're beings of the wind, and as with gifted followers (See immortality) they are deadly hard to put down for their opponents

The Lesser Minions are the shepherds of storms. They are fast as lightning and probably especially agile. They never hold still and really they're little more than knots of of thunderstorm made solid. All bits are grabby bits, but they can invigorate as well as shock

Then there are windwalkers, sons and daughters of he Dark God, beings of impossibly unearthly grace, the living world tends to bend to their whims. They're very person like, though they have some alien traits of course, and their minds equivalent to great polymath luminaries. They fly as simply as they walk with no need of extra appendages and can hide behind the air.

The greater minions, then, are roughly avian. Like the lesser, they're kind of living clouds (though these have a more definite shape), and in their case the size of the real thing. Impossibly tough to really destroy, tend to shepherd lesser copies, oh and they're actually combat-ready if you're an enemy, best of luck!
