Beta of Altering History 2.0. Final version I'll make into pngs, but it's a hassle, and I'm tired.

Make builds at your own risk, as I plan to revisit and expand several power sections. There are several modifications throughout, but the most notable changes are to the choice of fates on the second page; would adore feedback on that.

Adventure with group more than alone. I can use Healing, Barriers, and Bindings to help the party. For fighting I mostly spam arcane bolt type stuff from the air. I can also make potions at the alchemy to help party out or to sell and trade.

>see that 99.9% of the population has turn into zeds
>that's 7 billion zombies
>already see this as difficult
>don't know how leveling system works either and so it may take years before level 100
>even then what's the point
>get to the bottom
>second wave and third wave to fuck up my day even more
Why is this CYOA so difficult, zeds were hard enough, now I gotta deal with monsters and other factions that aren't even from Earth. I almost just want to destroy the whole world, but instead I've got to slay all non-earthlings.

To stay true to it gonna be Human.
I like Seer, Pond Scum, Slavemancer and Winner, but I'll have to go with Seer since even though the chance is low, there's still other people out there to meet even though they may betray me too.Fuck why are there so many blockades

All the perks feel really good, but perhaps faster growth so that I can reach immortality quicker along with multitasking for whatever. Wise Hunter so I can fuck up every other non-earthling. If I wasn't already full, I would have gotten gaping maw and ate every fucker who invaded Earth.

I'm wary on picking any of the shield generators because it doesn't mention how long they last or what kind of damage they can take, so skip those.

This isn't power armor CYOA, but I wanna take it so bad just to look cool, can't do that though. Honestly, all of these choices are quite odd, I guess it's more of a you spawn with them thing and you don't gotta go find them, but still. I'll just take an energy generator that's portable so if I ever meet up with people, bam, instant power for who knows how long although this shop is always accessible so it always feels like a it depends thing.

If there's one thing that could greatly enhance this CYOA, it's types of scenarios, I remember seeing those in other CYOAs and it helps kickstart the imagination.

Although man, everyone is pretty much a zed, what's even the point of living.

BBEG is an autist and doesn't see anything wrong with putting people to sleep forever or for what would ultimately be until most die from lack of water. No ones seems to realize this problem however. Meanwhile, surprise, having an entire population of super beings is a bad idea. Also, ancient evil consuming the world and nearly all the gods are petulant children who refuse to do their jobs. Do your job(s) and then GTFO ASP because shit will continue to be fucked regardless.

It's worth the read.
Almost all of the companions are interesting to read through and it's not that long when you ignore the Moves and Items pages.
But here's a super fucking short version with lots of stuff omitted.
>Long ago the world went to shit.
>"Definitely Not Arceus" summoned some asshole from Earth to make the world unshit.
>Said asshole succeeded in unfucking everything, had a dick ton of sex and children, caused two major political figures/gods to seperate because one was obsessed with his dick, but never got it and the other wanted to kill him because the first one was obsessed with his dick, started a bunch of traditions and social reforms, and then fucked off saying, "if you guys fuck everything up again, some other putz will probably come clean up your mess."
>Time passes, the major political powers of the world slowly become complacent and the military and/or law enforcement becomes gradually more corrupt.
>A bunch of gangsters and mind dominating sex slavers rise to power to the point of threatening the main government and basically start their own country
>A creepy apocalypse cult begins to gain power and spread its influence across a newly unfucked part of the world
>bunch of idiots form a guild (previous Asshole may actually have started it, I can't quite remember), call themselves adventures, and go do adventurer stuff in the recently unfucked part of the world
>and also there are beauty pagans/talent shows, but nobody really
cares because they're too busy with the fighting tournament that's way cooler
>finally, "Definitely Not Arceus" decides things are sufficiently fucked to summon the putz spoken of by the original asshole
>you are the putz
>you fall out of the sky one day and wake up next to some autistic amnesiac and/or mute, adorable girl (pic related) who imprints on you like a duckling
>proceed to do whatever the fuck you want
Seriously, just read it.
It's a lot of fun to piece everything together.

>Decadence is evil
Not really. She just does things for the shits and giggles. All you need to reform her is give her the Shaymin pussy and she'll be quiet.

>Genesis is behind everything bad thing
That is an exaggeration.

>He helped the First Kind capture and rape his sister
Amew surrendered herself and was visited by Meliorate, but refuse to tell him what was going on.

>>54381906
The irony in that pic is that Genesis form of utopia did work. The main problem with it, is that you get ass hats who want more than they already have.

Shota is the last of his kind because his people tried to usurp Genesis and take over the world despite already living in paradise.
>>
>>54381943
It makes sense for a character to be retconned in like the fifth version to be raped and full of drowsey cum and AIDS? Come off it, it's just your fetish.

>Sakura
Edgy for edginess' sake. I don't know how anyone can defend writing like that.

First she's full of rape worms. Then we realize that she's raped everyday by her adopted brother (while thinking of Shirou at that), then we learn that whenever her worms start acting up and Shinji isn't around to rape her, she'll go out into the streets and seduce the first old man she finds to fuck her. It's like someone was trying to invent triple cucking.
>>
>>54381960
>Not really
She just came out of prison for trying to destroy the world.

>That is an exaggeration.
This is a lie.

>Amew surrendered herself.
Sorry anon, but Genesis gave them the technology and helped them with their plan to capture and rape Amew in the first place. Granted he did it all with the purpose of backstabbing them so that they'd be genocided, but he did it.

Alchemist CYOA, one of the waifus is a woman being raped by her assistant while she slowly degenerates to the intelligence of a house pet.

The BBEG is Madara Uchiha.
>>
>>54382064

>>
>>54382021
Shota's people only got genocided because they literally tried to kill him and take control of time. Genesis literally left them alone in their paradise until they got greedy and betrayed him first.

According to the cyoa the paradise, Shota's people was living in was the type of paradise Genesis wanted for everyone. A still place in time with everyone united and was most likely an experiment on him trying to figure out if his idea would work.

The irony behind Genesis dream of utopia is that the Darkness gave him his utopia, but on the opposite side. It became a still place and everyone was united, but instead of it being peaceful it became a living hell.

Where's Kaguya?

If i'm not mistaken, the main reason the Great God summons you was to stop D. You wouldn't be summoned if the Great God was alright with D's plans. The Great God still cares about the inhabitants of Constellia to an extent.

>I mean being put to eternal sleep and living out your wildest fantasies can't fuck you up, I'm pretty sure D has a plan to stop people from dying in their sleep.
D failed before with the Darkness. This plan won't necessarily succeed. Besides, the idea of endless dreams doesn't necessarily imply lucid dreaming. It's possible you'd simply go through one good dream after another and lose your sense of self, which is basically death.

You also have the problem of a civil war breaking out because of retards in the desert worshiping their loli goddess and telling the government to fuck off and a criminal empire opposing the children of god with one of them wanting to rape one (Psychic Warlord and Amew) who has a plan to attack the capital city.

You also have the Imperial Police being the Gestapo and are zealots who might betray the Great God's children and committed incest for generation for super soldiers.

Considering that things like buildings collapsing on you or a truck hitting you can kill you dead without Impervious 3, I'm not really seeing the point of Figure of Legend. Mysterious Wanderer also has the issue that it basically requires high regeneration to deal with if you end up in a vegetative state on life support. Without some mechanism to heal back from that, then you could be stuck like that forever. No aging means that there's no maximum time after which you automatically die and reincarnate, and if your physical needs are met you will never die even if you didn't take stuff like diet.

They have those in most of the modern world though. Like in Chechnya, North Korea, or just think of Guantanamo Bay. Hell, in plenty of 1st world countries a parent can even send their kid to special camps to shock the gay away.

Fuck you, I'm back. With a much less powerful build, I suppose, given the new restrictions. I-if anyone remembers me from the last RP-shitshow, that is...
I have a different strategy this time, if this winds up becoming an RP (less immediately aggressive, keeps the story from centering around his antics immediately). I've also improved significantly writing-wise, at least as far as I can tell.

He's the same guy. I'm not sure how much I need to describe this build, really. He didn't have much character. If you were there for the last one, you would know what I mean.

I like the powerlevels, easily lets people go for the two build-types that this CYOA allows for, both the 'comfy' wanderer and the mover and shaker. I really don't like Deity Descended, but I understand that it has to be there for a powerfantasy option.
Now if only it didn't lock Impervious 3...

So what?

Don't you think political enemies are killed on Earth? Don't you think we have wars that span continents? Several nations have enough nuclear arms to blow up the world singlehandedly.

That's my point. The bad in PPP+ is "little baby" level compared to our own world. If a cyoa were to be made about Earth in PPP+ style it would be 10x worse.

Just imagine a cyoa like that mentioning the mexican cartels who kidnap people and make them eat their own genitals before they kill them.

No idea, it's just highly likely. What are the odds we would live in that infinitely miniscule fraction of time after mankind has developed basic technology and comfort but before we have expanded into the stars? How can a universe that has existed for billions of years be so relatively empty of life when we the idea of conquering and exploring it seems to be the most likely path an advanced species would take?

Honestly most Anglo philosophy is analytic, which is basically just seeing how autistic you can get while sucking up to STEM. Continental philosophy is both far superior and far more insufferable, but I guess that's the trade-off.

Some fags will pretend the continental/analytic divide doesn't exist, but this tends to come from people who mistake "continental" to literally mean "from continental Europe".

The very discussion of it constitutes "philosophy", you drooling nigger. The concept that things CAN be "true" or "false", or that the same thing can be both in the same time, is philosophy. That a 0 is a 0 and not a 1 is philosophy. That if 1+1=2 then 2-1=1 is philosophy. That a statement can be valid without being true but not true without being valid is philosophy.

And that's not even getting into morality and politics. Get your ABCs straight before you try talking about grownup stuff, you mumbling 9gag retard.

Hmm... I'm doing this from memory, but:

* Added a bunch of pictures, obviously.
* Removed some excessive verbiage in the beginning, such as removing the section where you choose your place in society and replacing it with a single sentence.
* Combined the Impervious and Temperature Tolerance trait into a single more expensive trait.
* Added Fates and Fate Modifiers (the biggest change)
* Several grammar fixes
* Moved SEP field into minor gifts rather than Mental Upgrades
* Renamed "minor gifts" (which included flight and things like that) to "supernatural gifts", and renamed "supernatural gifts" to "magical schools" for clarity
* Clarified in the section on buying companions that your companions get a bunch of free powers that you do
* Removed Shared World as a "drawback", and instead made a Multiplayer heading with bonus points.
* Fixed a loophole with the Dark God quest, where the "Stormbringer" and "Beastfoe" "drawbacks" could be used to your benefit.

Probably some other little things I'm forgetting.

Fun build, but a problem with it. To complete the Sorcerer Supreme quest you need to buy the ability to imbue at least one school, which you did not (you only bought the ability to use ALL magic yourself). So, you'd need to spend at least 5 points more on one school to be able to imbue it to others. And note that you only get the 10 points from Sorcerer Supreme *after* you complete the quest. So, you'd have to start without one of the schools. Even with Wizard, going for ALL the schools is pretty costly.

Be careful to control your rage and frustration when teaching your students in order to complete that quest :)

Space is real and Earth is hollow. The sudden popularity of the Flat Earth theory two years ago is a CIA psyop that is designed to hide the fact that Earth is actually hollow. This is a common technique that intelligence agencies use to deceive the masses (I call that technique 'conspiracy misdirection'): They promote a conspiracy theory that they KNOW is FALSE and want you to think you're red-pilled by believing that false conspiracy theory is TRUE while using that false conspiracy theory to hide a TRUE conspiracy theory related to it that has even MORE far-reaching implications than the false conspiracy theory. For example, the 'Moon landing hoax' conspiracy theory is being used to hide the TRUE conspiracy theory that we went to the Moon and found artificial objects there (or we knew there were artificial objects there all along and went to the Moon simply to bring some of those artificial objects back to Earth). The official account of the Moon landing AND the Moon landing hoax conspiracy theory are BOTH FALSE. NASA itself is covertly promoting the Moon landing hoax conspiracy theory.

Daily reminder that there was supposed to be a voyage to the North Pole in 2007 to find out if there's an opening at the North Pole that leads into the Inner Earth World (and thus prove once and for all that Earth is hollow). The leader of the expedition was Steve Currey and he suddenly died from a brain tumour shortly before the expedition began so all of the money they got from people who were going to join the expedition was refunded. The new leader of the expedition was Brooks Agnew and the new expedition was meant to be in 2013, but shortly after THAT expedition was about to begin, his film crew suddenly vanished without a trace so THAT expedition was cancelled too (and, once again, the money they got from people who wanted to join their expedition was refunded). The expedition was/is known as the 'North Pole Inner Earth Expedition'. Here's a link to the official North Pole Inner Earth Expedition page:

Do people like their CYOAs to be super specific?

Do I need to spell out everything? If I let you select a form for your body to take, and then powers to take, will people be satisfied with using their imagination as to how their powers and new form work in tandem?

I’m leaning heavily on the Wanderer’s reincarnation to leave the most points possible for magic. I’ve skipped all but a handful of physical upgrades, the most generally efficient mental upgrades, and the two books.

20,000 BC puts me right at the last glacial maximum. I'll need a millennium to reach full power, in the mean time I’ll study the book of knowledge and try to keep whatever stone-age hunter/gatherer tribe I’m a part of alive. Once my powers mature, I’ll travel the world collecting the best plants and animals for domestication to jump-start the agricultural revolution.

Sorcerer Supreme will be my best shot for completing a quest. A population boom from agriculture and other technologies plus imbuing blessed one and stormsage will help increase the population up to 100 million people. Teleportation will let me imbue a lot of people across a wide area and spread my reputation as a powerful sorcerer. I have until 8,000 BC before I start aging and I won’t hit 60 until 4,000 BC. I’m confident I can finish by then.

Divination and master of motion are my main ways to avoid danger, but if I somehow die I’ll be reborn. The areas that I influence will have larger populations thanks to food surpluses, better technology, and magic, so I’ll likely be reborn in an area that I controlled. Thus one of my priorities in adulthood will be keeping child mortality low so I’m more likely to live long enough to regain my memories. Then I can shapeshift into a likeness of my old body and reclaim my identity.

Jesus, it's like those strawman atheists in Jack Chick comics holding up science as their dogma. Do you realize that this utter, even prideful refusal to so much as consider alternative possibilities is literally, fundamentally, the complete opposite of scientific thought? It's the epitome of the very same subjectivity you claim to "disdain". You think something is stupid because you said so, refuse to learn anything about it, and keep your view because you've vadically arbitrarily decided it's correct. You're worse than the stupidest, shriekiest, hair-dyedest feminist AND the most backwards, primitive, goatfucking sandnigger. At least three guys don't have pretensions to the contrary.

I have the same problem with this as I do with the other conspiracy theories of this scale - For there to be any conspiracy theory at all, the conditions have to perfectly straddle the line between
>Secret government fails to force hundreds to millions of conspirators to keep secrets from populace; conspiracy is shattered and world radically changes
and
>Secret government is technologically able to detect and respond to any leaking of information; mentioning the concepts alerts secret police and traitorous conspirators/redpilled populace are dealt with swiftly and appropriately
For comparatively small stuff (like a lot of what the CIA has allegedly done), it's not fundamentally impossible, but a conspiracy theory about the entire nature of the earth (and, indeed, the universe and aliens) requires that the shadowy organization be both competent/technologically advanced enough to keep a secret of this magnitude, and incompetent/technologically defunct enough to let people actually talk about it.

Of course, you could also say that they intentionally allow a certain level of conspiracy theory to accumulate so as to 'innoculate' people against the truth, but that would require a level of surveillance and power over us that, simply put, is too great to break under any normal circumstances.

>>54385417
Fun, anon!

Thanks for not abusing the possible loophole with Mystic Wanderer and Temporally Lost; I realized that technically according to what I wrote Mystic Wanderer would keep you being reborn up to the present day even if you died of old age from Temporally Lost, but that is obviously not the intent, and something I intend to fix in the next one.

Yes, and I'll enjoy the CYOA regardless, but I also like to entertain people and for people to enjoy what I make, so I'm asking for input.
>>54385379
Well, let's say I have two forms you can take in the CYOA (there'll be more). I could either spell out, with the tentacle form you're able to have extra limbs; with the rainbow form you're able to shoot out damaging beams from your hands.

OR, I could give you an option of tentacle form and rainbow form, and give you a pick of extra limb powers and beam powers. It's up to your imagination to figure out how it works (rainbow light arms/beams come out of tentacles).

The first option is more specific, but gives you less options. The second is versatile, but vague in exact workings.

>Mysterious Wanderer
Ten years without my mind hurts in ways I'm not educated enough to describe.

I'd find ten years as a powerless child painful in a fun way, or even a shorter period of mental reconstitution. As much as I like my fucked up brain, getting reintroduced to my mind over a decade just sounds like torture.

Whatever. You probably don't want to change it now anyways, and I'll probably just take the horror as incentive to not die.

That sounded passive aggressive.
Sorry, I really don't mean it like that, I'm just bad at talking.

>>
>>54385496
>probably don't want to change it now anyways
I'm always willing to consider alternatives, even if it meant a fourth option, but what would I change it *to*?

I'm not giving your your memories at birth, if that's what you mean; that's weird.

I suppose I could add a *very* expensive option for Figures of Legend that would cause you to be reborn from the earth, fully formed if you were ever killed. Would that potentially satisfy you?

But, if you want the "exchange powers" option, you need to have another childhood, sorry.
>>
>>54385465
Ah this cyoa, I'm really looking forward to it. Personally I'd prefer to know my what I can do but also with enough left to imagination. For example with Rainbow Form, instead of specifying you can shoot light beams, make a general statement such as 'You can expend heat and light from your body' this allows the person choosing it to decide what they'll do with that light emission, like shooting death beams for example.
>>
>>54385518

>>54385562
I had forgotten that it doesn't outright do away with negative emotions. Existential issues are still something you can experience, without crumbling because of them.

Though, you wouldn't crumble under something little like that, would you?

>>
>>54385676
Heh.
>>
>>54385613
>Why? No judgement, I just want to understand where you're coming from.
Several reasons. I find it kind of horrific the idea of being an adult brain caught in the body of a baby that can't do anything. I find it cruel to the parents to deprive them of a child; as it is, I imagine the way it works is that your memories of your childhood remain, they are not "overwritten", so that you would feel love toward these parents (presuming they were not asshole parents) even as you regain your mantle as an immortal wanderer.

I'll try to come up with and balance an option for those who want the guaranteed re-do option without having second childhoods. I won't remove what's there, but try to add another choice.
>>
>>54385660
Yeah, I need to fix Temporally lost for Deity Descended and Mysterious Wanderer. Thanks for pointing that out.

Yes. I find that horror to somewhat fun, but I guess I'm just a little crazy.

It's not necessarily cruel. You don't need to be a naive child to feel affection towards people that have taken care of you when you're vulnerable.

That said, it's your decision. If sapient babies creep you out too much, I'm sure you can find a better alternative.

Inconsistent length text is kinda disgusting but if your text isn't too divergent in their length then you can put them all in text boxes big enough to fit the largest amount of text, plenty of authors do that. Rest of those problems are annoying but endurable.

Not going to repost the whole thing yet (limiting myself to no more than once per thread), but four options are now:

Master of the Cycle: 80 points. Can stop or start aging as desired. When you die, you are reborn, regaining your memories over childhood which combine with the memories of your new life. You are able to exchange 10 points each time.

Immortal Wanderer: 80 points. Fixed purchases, but if you die you are "reborn" fully grown at full power, one year later, in a random place.

Figure of Legend: 120 points. Same as before.

Deity Descended: 160 points. Same as before.

Hidden Valley & Mountain Fortress
>Minions
Covert, trustworthy, teamwork, more minions, tame beasts
>Allies
loyal regent, childhood friend, corrupt magistrate
>nemesis
rival sect, meddling monk, wulin crusade

The idea here is for the mountain fortress is going to be sacrificed along with most of my minions. Since it's location is so obvious, people should in theory think that's it. I'll take the fall with it, posing as a "kidnapped" child they believed to be their chosen one. My age, the magistrate (who knows I'll drag them down if I fall) and my virtuous childhood friend should help me escape the consequences of this.
I'll join a normal sect, or even a shaolin temple to pick up other martial arts and the weaknesses of the wulin as I grow into my full power.
The hidden valley will pose as a small martial sect until my return, lead by my loyal regent. Ideally that will be about once I hit twenty, and we'll slowly suborn or destroy nearby sects as I lead the forces of righteousness on a wild goose chase. Since I'm obviously a good guy now.

Good and evil are all about perception. Villains hide, honest men do not. Criminals spy and scheme, honest men merely listen and plan. It's such a shame that that poor monk was killed by mysterious mechanical assassins but I assure you that no man in my employ ever laid a finger on that man of the cloth.

Besides, it all happened miles from either my boats and manor. Oh I heard he was chasing after some horrible cult, perhaps they caught him first. Oh those puppeteers in the back? Don't be silly, this is a pleasure boat and they are entertainers! We have the paperwork to prove it.

Now shall I my Zither for you?

Probably gonna use my increased mental prowess to become an excellent writer or investor and just live off of that, all while waiting for this shit to wear off. All my other abilities will be used to act as a sort of vigilante; fighting drug dealers and taking their money.

You need a 1 point disadvantage if we are supposed to pick advantages without knowing disadvantages.

I chose a single 3-point option (refined digestion) to deal with a condition I have. This meant that, with the free 2 points, I am 1 in the hole and so the best I can do is have 1 point left over in the end.
