Princess Anon:
So, if you take the Golem Knight as a rival, your first six Princesses (if you intend to rescue them all) are set in stone.

Incidentally, I'm going to prioritize rescuing "Name," you know the one with Fluff Text.
>>
>>54306414
Because then I couldn't carry the best version of it with me into future jumps. Sure I could just build the best version in each jump fairly easily but that also has issues.Better to just upgrade.

>>54306448
>the thing about making it bigger is that in between Each jump it goes into its bay,and the bay doesn't get bigger....
There are a number of reasons why that isn't a problem bancho.
Who says it doesn't get bigger? It says the ACU returns to it so if the ACU is bigger wouldn't it have to get bigger too?

If not I could import something that already has a hanger that grows with it or import it as the same.

Failing that it would be possible to import with something that doesn't need a hanger at all.

So can we agree on the WoW jump posted last thread being the "generic," and opening up individual faction jumps like Marvel vs individual Marvel IPs?

>>54306005

>>
>>54306914
>>54306384
Doing that will be easy. Making it bigger might be harder, only because of what >>54306448 said probably being true. You could put Pym particles in it though, letting it shrink down to always fit in the bay unless you get insanely huge, and since you can also use the particles to grow that shouldn't be needed.

I was Robert and Cersei's trueborn son, Joff's older brother by about a year. I used "big brother privileges" to knock sense into Joff whenever he did something stupid, or needlessly cruel. It went about as well as you might expect.

Joff lit my bedroom on fire, while I was in it, asleep.

I mean it's an option, but I don't see too many people being dissatisfied with it to the point of wanting to make faction jumps.

So I guess I'll ask again.

If I get Master Roshi from the beginning of Dragon Ball (Original Series) and give him a Potion of Youth (Sims 3) how powerful will the Three-Hundred and Nine year old be in his peak youth?

Huh. Hey, OAA... I noticed that two of the Drakes end up with pretty similar names.

Miragos takes the name Mari when he takes his human form, while there's also a Maridormi without humanoid name?

Not sure if that's a problem, or connection there?

I think someone said a weak freiza soldier a while ago?

So, maybe as strong as vegeta in his first appearance. Might be able to go a bit farther on skill than on power, but skill tends to drop of due to the escalation.

Unless he tries to hit freiza with the evil sealing wave technique or whatever, assuming it works.

desu, Westeros is one of those places where killing anyone who pisses you off is a legitimate solution to every problem. Everyone fails to understand it in the setting itself but it's obvious when people get killed off that there's basically no consequence for doing so.

>>
>>54307010
Sorry, I just posted the post I had tried to post last thread. Yes you can get around that, and if you do then the only theoretical limit to how big your ACU can get is an engineering one. Considering the size of the Galactic Colossus you've got a lot of room to play with just using SupCom, but eventually you'll need to find ways of dealing with your machines size. One of the easiest ways would be to have it stop being a robot suit and start being a spaceship, but I'm sure there are other options.
>>
>>54307089
That was just fucking stupid, and I only read it on the wiki.

How do you forget the second most important part of your evil sealing technique?
>>
>>54307029
Roshi doesn't do a whole lot, except when he does. He's been doing stuff in Super, and as far as we know he hasn't been training in any major way, but who knows if that translates to Original Dragon Ball? It's mostly up to fanwank.

He honestly doesn't seem like the kindof guy who fights a lot himself anyhow.
>>
>>54306924
I seized the Iron Throne with bolter and power sword, as well as a platoon with t-shirts and flashlights.

Holding it against less direct threats took a bit more work, as did reminding the rest of Westeros that they're supposed to kneel.
>>
>>54307111
Believe me, it was even more stupid in the show. There was all this buildup, with training and everything, to capture him, and it actually fucking WORKED. Zamasu's normally smug attitude vanished completely, and while he lost his shit Trunks and Mai ripped his arguments apart before sealing him away. It was an awesome scene...that quickly meant fucking nothing when it was revealed that the actual seal was still in the past. I don't know if it was supposed to be for cheap laughs or for the sake of continuing the story, but it was really lame.
>>
>>54306924
I just buggered off to Yi Ti, because what little we've heard of it sounds a lot more interesting than Westeros.

He does seem like the kind of guy who'll sit out any fight he can get out of. But I'm paying him for becoming a proto-Z Warrior by giving him his Youth back, so hopefully that'll work.

The pamphlet I've got, from way back during the Tree of Might movie says his power level is around 350. I see people saying that databooks put him at 120 to 150. Seems about right via Wiki diving. He's gotten insanely stronger in Super apparently able to take on over a hundred Freeza mooks who'd been training with Freeza.

>>54307197
Ah that /is/ dumb.
>>
>>54307202
Much lower, it is a completely separate world from the main one with all the bullshit so that is a major plus, with the servants being generally weaker but the magecraft being stronger the threats you'll end up facing are more in line with what you can buy compared to other fate jumps.

>>
>>54307833
ASoIaF.
>>
>>54307914
In general prisma's threats can be dealt with by servants with reduced capacity, the class cards are a lesser version of a servant's powers in card form for easy use by magical girls. The biggest threats you'll likely find are two watered down versions of Gilgamesh.

In the main fate universe there is so much scary shit going on that the grail wars, that are already more dangerous than anything you'll find in Illya, are the least of your worries.
>>
>>54307914
The cards basically allow you to either use the Servant's NP or to "become" the Servant. Mind you, Servants tend to be weaker here than in the other Fate worlds, but they're still "beyond human."

Doing either will drain someone quite a bit, as you might expect. Unless you're a bottomless font of prana or can borrow from parallel worlds.
>>
>>54307947
But Eldar armor is pretty good.
>>
>>54308014
Just looked it up on youtube. So the cards are like transformation devices that get you an outfit based on that servant, and lets you use their powers, and the threats in the setting are weaker Alter versions of F/SN servants?

I just ignored all the infighting, and set big, big chunks of the North on fire. Had to boot a few wildling tribes out of the way; Elodie and Medea didn't like that so we got delayed while they set up a magical elemental heat shield the tribes could evacuate behind. It was worth it in the end; unleashing a flaming zombie tree apocalypse on the Others got results much faster than Rolling Thundering the tundra.

Oh, and just for kicks I gave Tyrion a chip implant to control his own army of Iron Legion-style drones. Which also happened to be midgets. He, uh, reacted poorly at first when confronted with metal witchcraft. Took a week for the man to see the benefits of having an inexhaustible labour force that are effectively dragons. But hardier.

He pretty much took the Iron Throne by accident, after the major players wiped themselves out trying to attack him.

Debating on either route actually. if I go the first one, the Garrison initial purchase will be 100 CP while the different upgrades and shit are 50's, 100's, and 200's. If I go the builder having it's own points, it'll be about 400 or so for 1000 Garrison Resources.

You just make sure Ten doesn't die at all or have him come with you before he turns into Eleven. Given the screwey nature of time in Doctor Who, Ten could just have come with you while he doesn't have Amy around and then when your chain ends he just goes back to being The Doctor.

But then again that also brings up the question of any powers he might get from imports.

So DC is having a huge crossover, Dark Nights: Metal. Apparently Joker is immortal, we don't know if Batman is but it seems that his reincarnation trip around time wasn't part the Omega Beams.

Nth Metal is back, its actually the "Nineth metal" which is from what seems to be a dark Multiverse. Metahumans are folks with trace amounts of Nth metal in their blood. Or maybe its an alloy of Nth metal & another, but point still stands.

Batman had Joker locked up in his dungeon. Batman actually was killed, but came back to life with no memories of his past. He even created a machine that would restore his memories. Not only that it would make others Batman, aka transferring his memories onto them.

Hal Jordan jobs to Joker. Duke is a metahuman, his mom was offered a spot to join a group of Immortals. Who know of an impending universal/multiversal war is coming.

There's gonna be a Evil Batman Justice League. The first one that's coming up is BatFlash aka Red Death.

So /JC/ how would you face a Bruce Wayne version of your Jumper?
>>
>>54308268
I mean. You could keep the Doctor clone that Rose takes to the other universe.
>>
>>54308297
I'd personally prefer the second option if only because it'd be easier to budget but you do what you think is appropriate.

The main issue I have with the first option is that if you wanted a tier 3 sized garrison with even just tier 1 plots then to have a full garrison it'd cost 550 minimum (650 with the initial price) and that feels like a lot for what could prolly be built pretty cheaply for each Jump.

The problem with the second is then you'd have to balance another thing on its own and that'd prolly take a good chunk of time.
>>
>>54308393
>Batman had Joker locked up in his dungeon. Batman actually was killed, but came back to life with no memories of his past. He even created a machine that would restore his memories. Not only that it would make others Batman, aka transferring his memories onto them.

this is DC we are talking about, give it a year and it will never have had happened.
>>

>>
>>54308371
Screw that, go Grail Candidate, get the perk Wish Granting which can do any spell at all but it costs more, and the Emerald discounted to that background which gives you an endless reserve of magic to draw on. I think there's a limit to how much you can pull through it at once, but if you also take Jewel-craft then you can store lots of mana first and use it all on wishes of tremendous scale.
>>
>>54308413
Honestly? I'm prolly going with the second, purely because I'm already balancing a second table what with Steam Armor customization. No sense to have that kind of inconsistency.

Because most folks don't even acknowledge that Chi/Ki/Lifeforce effectively weakens sups in spite of Lex Luthor making the Feng Shui Cannon, and that dude knows Sups better than anyone in DC so if he's invested Multiple Billions of dollars into a weapon you better bet it'd work if he could get Clark hit by it. Hey, One-Armed, did you see >>54307030 ?

Also, is there any point to grabbing Demonic if you're already getting Fist of the Legion (and don't want the race-specific upgrades)?

How does the selling your soul bit of Fist of the Legion work if you don't get a history here?

Can you upgrade Artifacts from other Classes at your Order Hall's Forge?

Would a Demonic Warlock-Druid be only a few steps below Paladin-Warlock in weirdness?

If I decided to go Mixed Heritage with Worgen and something else, let's see Murlocks as an example... could I switch between normal Murloc and Worgen-Murloc forms, or would it be Human/Elf-Murloc to Worgen-Murloc?

Could a Druid take The Newborn companion's form?

>Caliburn is a large and beautiful bastard sword. Both its blade and its hilt are covered in golden engravings giving the sword the appearance of being made of gold. >>54308920
Elves don't look that way because they're elves, it's actually that their appearance is the result of magic. Using magic makes you drift towards that appearance. It's even noted that humans look the way they do because of an incomplete transition towards an 'elvish' appearance due to magic, and used to be more bestial. If dwarves or the not-orcs started using magic and riding dragons, then they too would start looking like elves.
>>

To use it on others, you have to have their soul. Odds are, they're dead.

Yes, I know that rule. What I'm saying is that, since the Golem Knight goes after princesses in a specific order - as noted at the end of the doc, you have to match that order in order to rescue all of them. Going after them out of order means you don't qualify to use the GK as a rival.

Overlord has a cheap items players get free that can have level one hundred if you do. It's one hundred levels of being a mount though, not fighting, but that's a damn good mount. You can design its form and give it some abilities.

Skyrim has that horses skull if you want a summonable skeleton horse that is also of fire... and purple.

Probably Death Note, Gravity Falls, Tales of Syphonia, or Exalted: Infernals since those give you flight as fast as you can run. Means they work with speedster perks and such.

Or one of the 'faster out of atmosphere' methods of flight, like Tamaranean (and I think a few other cape shit?).

Also, first experience with flight was trying to telekinetically levitate myself in Pokemon.

I never did go much higher than a few feet off the ground while I was there, because it turns out that getting a new healthy body doesn't mean you also lose things like acrophobia.
>>
>>54309455
I'm fond of perks like Lifeless Being that let you fly as fast as you can run. Which is actually kind of weird since "as fast as you can run" is predicated on a lot of factors, and doesn't really make sense from a physics perspective to have flight be limited by running speed, but reactionless thrust is always going to have weird physics so I just suck it up.

Apologies. I misunderstood the question. Yes, you are correct. Golem Knight is intended to be a bit unique as Rivals go. No single jump. More like several jumps worth of speed adding up, and a perk that lets fly as fast as you can run to stack land and air speeds.

In Chinese fantasy, having more chi makes you stronger. So if you want to be strong, you need to "cultivate" your chi by training, taking rare medicines, practicing secret meditation techniques, manipulating your chakras so that chi travels through your body more efficiently, etc. It's like taking steroids and lifting every day, but for your soul instead of your muscles.
>>
>>54309873
Pretty straightforward. It's a concept from Chinese fantasy stories (most prevalent in the "xianxia" genre) based on traditional practices of chi-based medicine. The idea is that you meditate, and you ingest rare herbs, and you train, and you have spiritual experiences, and over time your chi and all the things you can do with it grows stronger. Depending on the work, you may be able to specialize your chi, transform it into new types of super-chi. Often, there may be a ranking scale of qualitative changes as you strengthen, barriers that you need to break through in order to become more powerful instead of just develop greater reserves, and each rank up offers new capabilities that make you superior to lower ranks (unless you're fighting the protagonist, in which case it's likely he'll beat you despite being a lower rank than you). Basically it's a Chinese version of shonen power-ups, if you want the short and pithy description
>>
>>54309873
Take drugs, punch shit, meditate, take more drugs, spend hours doing power-up screams, take an assload of drugs, die and be reborn, and doing all this shit empowers your soul and/or chi and/or generic-lifeforce-energy.

When "T-Mobile Sidekick" from Def Jam says that it will "function as it does here in any world you go to" would that include "every one of the character's numbers" and yours, or is it just a phone you don't need to pay for?

Wait, what's this about trapping everyone in an eternal waking nightmare and enslaving them to do your bidding? I thought the Emerald Nightmare was just supposed to fuck with the minds of those dragged into it, can you actually merge it with reality and enslave everyone with it? Because that sounds like a cool evil plot to use in future jumps. Oh, uh, quick question first. Can this be stopped by outside forces? Because that's fairly important. Have to make sure my plan can actually be foiled, after all.

Yes, yes, and yes. There's an entire book where that plan is pretty much the primary conflict - Stormrage.

Entire world gets locked into a nightmare and there's an epic war in the Dream as Xavius tries to leak it out into the real world. Even gets stomped by Malfurion. The idea is, all sleeping beings pass through the Emerald Dream on dreaming and waking, even if temporarily.

The level of magic they have is several orders of magnitude more bullshit than even the Kirin Tor, is how I justified that price point.

Also, you mean the Scarlet Crusade? Here's the thing - despite the Scarlet Crusade's beliefs, they keep getting their asses kicked, and infiltrated by demons who manipulate them, and fucked over by the undead both sapient and non-sapient. You can wield the Light like they do, but if the Light itself - which is written to be a thinking, actual force in it's own right - wanted the Scarlet Crusade to win, it would've acted to do so.

600 - Replay Level
At any point in the jump, you can trigger a recording, which lasts for one hour. Afterwards, you can relive that recorded segment, of which you can store six at one time - more or less endlessly and at will. Sadly, you can't actually take anything out - if you broke an expensive vase, it stays broke in the real world, but information can be ridiculously valuable sometimes.

Good or bad? I'm getting rapestate flashbacks, for the record.

Is a Class selection mandatory? If so, it needs to be stated very clearly.
If I pay for a class, can I get around my abilities getting nerfed by the Jumper class?
The nerf, regardless of whether you can pay to opt out of it, should be stated on the first page, at least as a warning. Not everyone reads every single option in a jump.

Do you only get to choose one Sub-Class? If so, it should be stated at the start of the section.

Not sure if that qualifies as a claim.
>>
>>54312776
Uh, no, it's canon. This isn't really up for debate. Death's Head is and has been part of the main 616 continuity quite awhile, for example.
>>
>>54312782
Not him and I don't have strong feelings about the tech either way-but the Doctor is inconsistant as fuck. He doesn't really mind River Song or Rory or, you know, MISSY getting up to shenanigans.

Now that I think about it-it was mostly just that one smug nerd that one time.

Really it just comes across more as how much the Doctor likes you at any given moment. And to be fair, on paper Jumpers sound a lot like some of things that have tried to kill him.
>>
>>54312776
What about Star Trek?
It crossed over with the Doctor
>>

>>

I've always hated that particular fiat, I don't care how clever the Doctor is I've taken enough perks to make me the smartest man in 10 Universes, and that let's me understand and copy tech I've been around long enough, and that prevents my mind being fucked with, I should be able to figure out wierd alien future tech.
I mean I can understand if he kicks you out of the TARDIS if he catches you and you have to sit the rest of the jump out on some backwater planet somewhere, but to just say "No fuck you the Doctor is always and forever smarter than you even if you are like 8 times his age and a well traveled dimension hopper." is just insulting.
>>
>>54312925
>I've taken enough perks to make me the smartest man in 10 Universes

>>
>>54312610
Holy shit, I didn't know Godzilla's fire breath hit that large an area, or that he had laser spikes or an atomic tail beam.
>>
>>54312838
Yes, comics often take characters from non-canon iterations of their stories and work them into canon. Harley Quinn originated in the Batman animated series, for example. This does not mean that the animated series is canon to mainline DC.
>>
>>54312969
Evidently pretty stupidly if he's that stupid and can't invent better tech than the Doctor's.
>>
>>54312969
Not him, but eventually I end up either playing a late game jumper like an ultimate Sue, or as a sort of parody figure you could probably still call a Sue. The guy that either steamrolls settings and reveals his keikaku included your keikaku, or the guy that goes at a setting like a low rated (PG-M, rather than M-R) Deadpool if he had phenomenal cosmic power.
>>
>>54312991
Yes, and the Doctor Who crossovers /are/ literally canon to Marvel. Also, so are the animated series. And the MCU. Just in alternate realities. Like, this is a canon character, significant portions of his history reliant on another.
>>
>>54313014
I'm not saying you can't invent something better that isn't the point, the point is that the Doctor Who jump comes off as incredibly condescending to the people who jump it. It tries to plant you in the role of the stupid modern day human without even considering the possibility of the Jumper being anywhere near the equal of the Doctor

If I just wanted a time machine there are other jumps for that, if I just wanted something bigger on the inside there are other jumps for that, but it isn't about that it's about the fact that I think it is stupid to talk down to the people jumping this setting and trying to force them into a predetermined role

shin gojira tail.jpg
107KB, 1280x720px
>>54312977
Shin Gojira really wanted to bring home that Gojira was a monster, and therefore aimed to remind the audience that a giant radioactive lizard is something to fear, not love. Shin is scary. It doesn't help that he's some sort of constantly-mutating proto-organism with countless possible forms contained within his genome. The end of the movie shows that, before he was calcified, he was developing into a form that would spawn an army. His tail is sprouting out into this mass of humanoid figures, it's pretty freaky-looking. The artbook mentions that if left unchecked, Gojira would eventually develop into a form that would consume all life on Earth before taking off into space and becoming a scourge upon the universe.
>>
>>54312991
>>54313047
Also, this isn't an adaptation. It's the same character, who has gone through these events, and was not part of some random series that later has aspects of itself "incorporated". There was no separate continuity, it's the same fucking guy.
>>
>>54312977
The tail and back lasers are shown only by Shin. But yes, something called atomic breath tends to be pretty strong.
>>
>>54313065
It's a relic of the time it was made, though even then people didn't like the restrictions.

There's been plenty an argument about it, but the jumpmaker hasn't been around lately, so even though there seemed to be some progress made when people talked reasonably to him there's unlikely to be any change. What little goodwill people managed to make on that front almost always burned under someone coming in and being aggressive, which just made the author defensive, and suddenly nobody was getting anywhere.

Point is, unless there's a new jump it's unlikely there'll be any change.
>>
>>54312610
>>54312977
The only other Godzilla Shin is even remotely similar to is the one from the first movie, since they're both forged from the tormented and vengeful ghosts of the dead. Hell, Shin even can split them off into these freakish semi-human mutants under his control to kill people at a ground level. The original concept had these things commanded by fucking mutant semi-human 'angels' too.

>>54312969
That's a good question. I've accepted that at a certain point, I can't.

I try to play up the surreality of this pandimensional intellect that somehow also accidentally brainwashed himself to relate to a human, and is sometimes hurt by the dissonance. So he does inane things like chase butterflies around China because he knows which one's beating wings will eventually cause a hurricane on the east coast. Or cooks by dreaming of the best cake he can, and then trying to pull that cake into reality. Or has to carry around flashcards that say things like "do NOT address the local choir as COWER, BRIEF MORTALS" while wondering why people don't like traditional values.

But I'm probably far off the mark. It's hard to be realistic about someone to who's made a study of applied unrealism.

I'm fond of going along with plots I like and making adjustments here and there, but if things go bad, or canon leads to some horrible event or mass deaths or whatever suddenly something will happen to stop it. Sometimes its a "coincidence" and sometimes it's the prankster revealing that that thing he does where he steals something and nobody can find it is actually not just a joke, but a serious ability that can make bombs dissapear. Sometimes I just give up on following it and break out the big guns, but as your guns get bigger and bigger that becomes less and less fun, outside of settings either powerful enough, or with a big enough degree of scale that they can fight back.

>>54313301
That's probably going to be too much, at the very least for making anything else in the jump nearly as attractive a purchase.

((INT+WIL)/2)%

I guess I could make it scaling with your intelligence and experience, though those are a little difficult to quantify. Caps at a high value, but can't actually reach 100%

Around 25-50%
I think Skyrim has a perk that lets you absorb 100% for a few minutes but that is limited too once a day.

Maybe just appearance/voice? Possible letting you re-skin powers or make minor alterations to things you can already do to fit that character?
>>
>>54313301
Appearance and Themes only, with no increase in abstract "power"? So, stealing Superman's appearance wouldn't give you eye-lasers, but if you had lasers they could come out of your eyes. So, not body snatching per se?

>>54313349
Childish whining about how he's the King of Heroes, how dare this mongrel not submit. It's not fair, he's got all the Noble Phantasms ever, he's the best and coolest and definitely isn't a piece of shit who committed suicide when he saw he was too pathetic to even defeat moldy bread.

Skyrim will give you 50% passive as your free standing stone.

It's more then that, I think. It's supposed to be flat out omniscience, it's just that Gil is so fucking arrogant that he dismisses anything that would imply he would lose or that he wasn't strong enough or whatever. At least, that's what I heard.
>>
>>54313419
600 - Character Select
So here's a neat trick you can pull. After you beat someone in a mostly fair fight or if they just give consent, you can copy their shape. Not only that, but to a lesser extent you can also copy their powers. Now, beating Lego Palpatine won't make you a master of the force, nor will beating Lego Superman make you a Kryptonian, but if you already had the powers to fake it, you can push them all into one convenient alt form. Mind you, there is a bit of leeway. If you were only missing one or two small things, like being just a bit less stupidly durable than Lego Hulk, you can just go ahead and have that.

Does this work?
>>
Hey is SMTAnon still around?

Is he still working on that Killer Is Dead jump he previewed a while ago?
>>
>>54313523
Which just makes it feel pointless, and redundant, and completely unnecessary. And really little more than an excuse to powercreep Gil now that Karna and Arturia can solo fucking SEPHYR.

It has to be some kind of inside joke. Because the net effect is that if Gil has this overwhelming awareness AND still fucked up so hard in Fuyuki, then SN!Gil has less self awareness than Chris-Chan.

>>54313509
Also I'm not sure how this is relavent, unless you mean Saber is the bread. This thing's straight up a Noble Phantasm, he shouldn't logically be without it.

Wait, it's a NP? Not just a skill?
Well nevermind me then. That's fucking retarded.
>>
>>54313590
See, Strange Fake did adding new OP shit to old Servants right. SN had some offhand lines about Heracles being nerfed by the Berserker class, and it turns out this fuck called True Archer is basically Heracles as an Alter Archer, and his bow is so powerful he forces Gilgamesh to be on the defensive by sniping at his tiny native american girl of a Master. I'm not even sure if it's deliberate payback for the Illya incident but either way, it's a great shoutout that builds on old lore without stooping to fanservice. Which is a rarity in the franchise.
>>
>>54313522
And her other stats go up. Just because it's not all buffs doesn't mean it's not a buff.

Gilgamesh suffers from a classic weakness: he's so insanely arrogant that it almost nullifies his power. He keeps fucking around with his enemies, he refuses to see the possibility that he can be beaten, and he just brute forces his way through things, rather then actually using his head. Hell, wasn't his ego being his biggest obstacle a plot point in one of the F:GO events, where the heroes actually take him head on because they know he won't take a head on assault completely seriously?

>>54313643
The bad news is yes.

The good news is-if we're to take his track record of using(???) it across the Fate franchise seriously?

It probably doesn't matter, because unless you're powerful enough to make Angra Mainyu look like a hamster he's going to chuckle at the idea of you standing a chance. And dick around like usual.

I mean for fucks sake in the Fate route the manbimbo somehow underestimated an NP that can no sell True Magics.

>>54313649
I know what you mean, but what I'm saying is it makes this NP feel really, really out of place. Either he's so monumentally stupid he plain dropped the qualification of wisdom that let him attain it in the first place, or it's an impotent bauble that just exists to make him look more impressive. Even though when you think about it, it just makes him less.

And Extra, Extella and HA DO show he can be competant when he puts his mind to it. But still nowhere near Contessa-like absolute precision-competence.

>>54313691
Never said it didn't, I'm just saying he's having a much better showing against Gil than Berserkules.

I'm pretty sure Real, No Nonsense Heracles is going to be kept out of the spotlight for a long, long time while they hype up the other dudes. Until they need another Grand.

You are literally lying. You are taking a single word in the name of this ability and ignoring not only it's description but also all his uses of it.

Fate is shit, but it's solidly less shit than usual installment.

If it's an NP, that means he has to choose to use it. It's not a passive skill.

Even if it's an NP being directed at himself like Rider's use of Breaker Gorgon, it still has prerequisites to use.
>>
>>54313765
It's the big power of the final BBEG from Bleach. Yhwach has an ability called "The Almighty" and it essentially allows him to see all possible futures, meaning that he can see absolutely everything that can possibly happen across a span of what is implied to be at least thousands of years. Its actual power, as stated and displayed by Yhwach himself, is the ability to "transform" the future to make anything that he wants happen.

It's a power so bullshit that only a hilariously nonsensical Kubo-tier asspull allowed the MC to beat him.
>>
Is there a way to teach people to make a copy of one or two weapons per person if you have UBW?

Something like the perks to give magic systems, but for one 'conjuration', or whatever UBW replicating a weapon actually is.
>>
>>54313779
He can also do some weird causality nonsense with it. Like, the stuff that he modifies counts as being in the future even if it's happened by now. He gives Ichigo's sword the future of breaking, and as such Orihime is incapable of fixing it when it breaks because she changes things in the past. Even though once you get to the point in the timeline where the sword breaks the breaking should be in the past afterward. It's strange. I advise not going to Bleach unless you have powers to let you ignore time fuckery, like No Fate But What We Make from Terminator.
>>
>>54313796
>Has to choose to use Godhand
>Imperial Privilege is apparently a passive skill
That makes no sense. Neither of those are right. Godhand is a passive, always active NP. Imperial Privilege is an activated Skill.

You have no idea of what you are talking about.
>>
>>54313751
Also what even is the point of getting into a dickmeasuring contest with Gil?

Either he's too stupid to make use of his strengths, or YOU are deliberately emulating his mistakes because...what, you want a pat on the head for being the KING OF KING OF HEROES?

Why do people who hate Gil, respond to him by trying to be Gil?

All you have to do to own Gil is take an Unlimited Blade Works copy into battle and snipe his portals out of the air. That's it. With the amazing topic of "shoot faster with projectiles of comparable quality", an untrained teenager who can't even shoot from as many different angles can land some blows on the King of Heroes. Imagine what Archer could've done if Gil hadn't shot him in the back.

>>54313796
You sure that's all NPs? I'm pretty sure Herc's God Hand and the primary effects of Avalon didn't need any concentration.

Personally, I'm waiting on Grand Order to become the King of King of Demon Gods.

>>
>>54313814
>Untrained teenager
Nnnnot really accurate. Shirou was leeching years and years of knowledge and skill from Archer because of time fuckery and on top of that, due to how UBW works, Shirou can use the physical stats and skill and experience of the original wielders of whatever traced weapon he was holding.

It's still really simple to get the perfect counter to Gil but you do probably want to actually prepare, not just walk up to the guy from minute one.
>>
>>54313814
Yeah, don't get into dickmeasuring contests with Gil. That just makes you a hypocrite. Instead, make a custom spell that causes snakes to steal his Noble Phantasms out of the air before he can fire them. Much more satisfying.
>>
>>54313771
NPs are, for the most part, unique. They only apply to a single servant, unless another hero is strongly associated with the same item which is very very rare.
Skills on the other hand are just reflections of skills the Hero had, that any number of Servants can share. Skills also in-setting have less meta-physical weight than an NP. You have no idea what you're talking about.

Godhand is a reflection of the Twelve Labors of Hercules. No other servant will ever have that NP.

Imperial Privilege is a reflection of Nero's status as Emperor, and her own Ego and belief she can do anything because she is Emperor. Anyone with similar traits can have it. To be honest I'm surprised that Gilgamesh doesn't have Imperial Privilege.

I'm sure you could forge something else that could in turn manufacture a convincing replica or two with EX Item Creation.

If you have ways to grant magic, Inner Universe from Magical Girl Noir Quest lets you commit magical energy to make illusions real, but it'll probably cost a fair investment for those.

Oh, and the "Real Scientist" capstone in Genius: the Transgression as well as Sufficiently Advanced from SCP gives you a chance to figure out a way to make replicable the normally unreplicable. Probably safest to also take Anartist for the latter since anomalies can include means and processes as well as ends, though.
>>
>>54313846
You ignored what the conversation was about.

And so what? So what if Breaker Gorgon has some prereq? Godhand doesn't. Godhand doesn't have him need to wear something. It's an innate power he just has.
>>
>>54313846
I'm pretty sure he's just trying to start a fight for shits and giggles at this point. I'd recommend just ignoring him. He'll try and poke holes in anything you say or just lie and misrepresent you, like he just did.
>>
>>54313814
Well, >>54313643 was specifically talking about 'full power' Gil, which the drawbacks The King of Heroes in Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya and Class War in Fate/Stay Night both bring out - although the former also makes him target you in particular, while the latter doesn't unless you also take Centre Stage.

Finding out what that actually means seems to be difficult because while Fate's drawback is explicitly all of the Gilgameshes smashed together, the one in Kaleid Liner canon is less impressive, but the drawback buffs that without specifying what 'manifest[ing] with his full power' actually means.

>>

What UBW does is very definitely a separate thing to Gradient Air. There's a lot more bullshit to UBW than just making a copy of something.

Can someone familiar with Raildex answer a question I have that I'm having trouble figuring out from googling? I was looking at the wiki to see what the Science Side's actual science and technology were like, and I found a bomber plane that deploys an extendable ferrofluid sword as a weapon to cut things at Mach 8. What I'm having trouble telling is if it's just holding the sword out and flying at Mach 8 to cut that way, or if it can swing the sword around at Mach 8. The wiki entry mentions that the blade can turn and move for precise cuts, so I'm leaning towards the latter. But there's a Magic Side plane that does the former, so maybe this is just a hypertech counterpart to that.
>>
>>54313981
One. Sorry I don't honestly know.
Two. Either way that sounds metal as fuck!

>>
>>54313946
I've got the RM, I just want to be able to teach people how to copy specific weapons. I don't know if we have perks that can do that though.

>>54313928
The one I use is Magitek Mastery from FF6, alongside I Cheat from JLD. That lets me take a 'bits and pieces' approach to building a magic system, and then I imbue people with that bit. It takes a while for them to get the hang of it though since they have to integrate it and then grow into the full power of whatever you gave them.
>>
>>54313918
This would be ludicrously inefficient, but you could teach them to Trace things without the aid of Unlimited Blade Works. Regular Gradation Air just makes things, while Tracing replicates the entire history (the concept, base structure, materials, skill and excellence involved in its original forging and manufacture, along with sympathizing with its experience and reproducing everything it was subject to) of whatever is copied. Shirou and EMIYA do it so well because UBW naturally records all of that shit. They'd just have to extensively study items before remaking them, and they wouldn't have whatever benefits UBW might grant as a result of items effectively being taken from one's inner world instead of created wholesale.

I remember Batman Anon said the one thing it definitely doesn't include is the "unlocked Origin" power he used to fight with Kiara in CCC's true end, which lets him whizz across space and time.

And uh, yeah. Other than that, no idea barring from some Beast's Lair translations I dimly remember-it took Archer!Gil going all out to blast Beast 2 (Tiamat) in Ereshkigal's underworld with his weapons.

>>54313906
The difference is hazy over there-to make a long story short, it's a bit of both because prana circuits are a manifestation of the soul, but UBW is a unique phenomena normally outside the scope of conventional magecraft.

In that case it definitely does depends on exactly what perk you mean.

>>54313952
Pretty much! You could also go one step further, and use abilities or items that can control portals to disrupt the firing spree.

>>54313981
Huh. I can't seem to find the thing on the wiki. Not surprised, I lose pages all the time.

But yeah, I think it's the former too since I remember some jargon about how science is relatively new while magic is fairly entrenched.
>>
>>54314020
Oh, it was Trace, not Gradiation Air. Thank you.

If that's how Trace works then I don't need to do anything special, just teach them and have them study the weapon/s for them to later replicate, and build up their magic I suppose.

>>54313946
Shirou's projection is... odd. He essentially uses gradation air to create a body for the information stored in UBW. And even then, his version of Gradation Air is different.
Seriously different - Normal magi consider Gradation Air to be useless for a good reason. It can barely make a stable mundane object for a brief time. Shirou's version allows him to outright pull out Noble Phantasms, let alone Mystic Codes.

That said...
Nanoha jump, Blood of the Kings (Darkness) perk -> Gives you the innate abilities of the Book of Darkness/Tome of the Night Sky (Collect and Use) by which you can absorb the magic (including every "spell" they know) from a Mage. You probably couldn't Collect the reality marble, but you might be able to Collect Shirou's version of Gradation Air.
>>
>>54314049
Just make sure to stack them teaching perks. Learning literally everything that has ever happened to a sword from the moment it was a hunk of steel to the very last time it was wielded would be pretty tough to a normal person.
>>
>>54314074
You sure that was a special version of Gradient Air? I thought it was him using a more latent form of UBW
>>
>>54314009
Doesn't it? It also freezes the pilot's body solid while leaving him with a mental control interface, so that acceleration doesn't tear them apart. You're basically a living corpse when you fly this thing.

>>54314032
>Huh. I can't seem to find the thing on the wiki. Not surprised, I lose pages all the time.
It's this thing: http://toarumajutsunoindex.wikia.com/wiki/HsB

It says that it can cut out jigsaw shapes, which would suggest it's moving around independently since being able to do that being held static and the plane flying around would require the plane to be ridiculously maneuverable. But the page says the HsB isn't very maneuverable and is designed for pure speed, so...
>>
>>54314078
Ah. Yes, I suppose that would be...

Might have to get some good magic that can see the past and have the person studying the item use it extensively.

I think MtAw has that, so if I Cheat to get a better or more specifically focused version of that spell I can teach my companions and then they can study it in depth. They have perfect memory perks, thankfully, so it's just getting the information that will be time consuming.
>>
>>54314089
It's a weird version of Gradient Air. Brought about by Shirou not being taught Magecraft correctly, because Kerry didn't want him going down that path. He misunderstood what he was supposed to do for Gradient Air, and accidentally found Tracing.

He doesn't even know Gradation Air anon. He only knows structural analysis and reinforcement. All the tracing stuff comes directly from UBW. He's not using gradation air at all.

>>

In the case of his Projections, it could easily be a mystery that is entirely dependent on UBW creating the blade before he calls it into the real world.
Like I said, his projection is odd. Where Gradation Air stops and UBW steps in is unclear.
>>
>>54314126
...it seems quite clear. GA never comes into the bargain. They are similar technique but Shirou doesn't know GA and all his uses of tracing have come directly through UBW, pulling the stuff out of his inner world.
>>
>>54314115
>>54314140
Given that Rin calls what he does "Gradation Air", I'm inclined to call it that as well.

Given that Shirou didn't even know how to use his own circuits, all of his magecraft is screwed up to an absurd degree. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that his Reinforcement and Structural Grasping are also completely wrong.

...huh.

>The blade slicing through the air at that speed creates a destructive power from the wind currents, however, with the iron sand being accelerated to a speed over 10,000 kilometers per hour, the plane can create a blade of molten metal and heated gas that is is around 8,000 degrees Celsius
>can cause the earth to be superheated to resemble like magma

In that case it...DOES sound like it's swinging the sword around Mach 8 since it's talking about the blade composition specifically.

And I'm pretty sure 10,000 kilometers per hour is a little more than Mach 8...
>>
>>54314100
Clairvoyance from Railgun is the best for that. It gives you pretty strong postcognition. So it's entirely possible to instantly learn the entire history of any object that you can see. Then it's just a matter of using telepathy or memory control powers to pass that knowledge on.
>>
>>54314166
That's awesome.

Thanks for the tip, anon!
>>
>>54314155
Rin calls it that. Rin doesn't know everything. It may look like it to her but that doesn't mean it is. Her words against how we actually see it work and how we see him come to use it are pretty different.
>>
With all this talk of Shirou, here's a question for you Jumpers.
How much of a brain aneurysm would Shirou have if he saw the complete history of your favorite weapon?
>>
>>54314157
No it's pretty much exactly Mach 8. 10,000 km/h is 2,777 m/s which is 8.16 times the speed of sound.
>>
Honestly I'm convinced Projection, be it just an altered Gradient Air or an aspect of UBW, is Shirou grasping the the barest edges of the 1st Magic. No where near close to even understanding what he's doing, or expanding it to its' full potential. But grasping at it blindly.
>>
>>54314157
>And I'm pretty sure 10,000 kilometers per hour is a little more than Mach 8...
Yes it is. I wasn't really paying attention when I wrote that, just went for the first Mach number that came to mind. It's late, I'm not really doing my mental math. Okay, let me get it now...Mach 13, I think? Somewhere around there.

But yeah, okay, if the blade is swinging, I'm putting that thing on my mecha designs. Hypersonic blade is go.
>>
>>54314214
It's explicitly called out to be nearly on the level of True Magic, so it's possible.

Man, I know these weapons mainly exist to make fights look cool. But just imagine what sort of ballistics/ammunition/bombs you could build if you took apart that technology and applied it to something with more range than a blade?

>>54314214
Well, Cursed Arm Hassan's...cursed arm works by creating a simulacrum of someone's heart, then crushing it. And the clumps have something to do with the First Magic, while the other known Servant replicas/offshoots of magic don't really do anything similar. So, yeah-that sounds likely.

>>54314196
I'm pretty sure he'd mistake it for a weird sunrise or something, so his tracing wouldn't kick in unless he got a really good look. At least, I hope so. In the material realm, I usually wield it more like a giant magnifying lens worn behind my head as a halo and less like an actual scythe.
>>
>>54314296
I kind of like it that way. I mean, I know this isn't the narrative the series actually goes for, but the idea that the science side is shit at making superhumans but great at making tools is a nice little symbolic take on science. Science doesn't concentrate power in the hands of the sages and priests (well, it kind of does, but not like magic would), it lifts up the entire society and makes us stronger as an aggregate, because the free exchange of ideas that fuels science works better in large groups than secretive mystery cabals. You can't make a super-soldier that can stand up to a magician, but you can deploy an aircraft carrier to bomb the fuck out of him. Group effort, not individual triumph. Now if only the plot actually used that idea instead of having the wizards be insanely OP.
>>
>>54314296
My hundredfold lottery winnings and perfect academic record beg to differ loser. And also my ability to selectively see all pretty girls walking around stark naked at will.
>>
>>54314342
To add insult to injury, the only reason science is pulling a win is because of the super-wizard sponsoring it.
>>
>>54314296
>>54314342
Well, the entire "let's make Espers" bit is mostly to make a field to create a Science Angel.
A side effect is that it reduces the people who can use magic.
And there's the possibility for someone to reach a "Science God" state.

The first and second seem to be Crowley's primary purpose, given his apparent hate-on against other magic users.
>>
>>54314350
Using powers for completely mundane and boring things doesn't make them strong, anon.
>>
>>54314379

>>
>>54314386
No, it doesn't. But how often do you use your city destroying super magic? Now how often do you think I use my precognition to check if there's anything good on TV?

It might not have as much power but it wins in terms of mileage.

Looking at it as a Jumper, it really depends on what else you've done, and what power you end up with.

Looking at it from the science side, Espers are better than normal humans. Hell, Misaka could keep up with supersonic Saints with her iron sand.

Looking at it from the magic side, Espers are a threat because it means the science side can create artificial gemstones.

Nobody knows what Tsuchimikado's perspective is, because he's a double agent, Level 0 and Onmyouji. Who can only use magic because his level 0 ability just happens to let him recover. Possibly. Or he might die each time.

>>54314464

>Man, I know these weapons mainly exist to make fights look cool. But just imagine what sort of ballistics/ammunition/bombs you could build if you took apart that technology and applied it to something with more range than a blade?
Are you familiar with the series Heavy Object? I think the engineers of that world are in a competition to see who can make the craziest weapons to put on their war machines. The first person to say "But that's insane!" loses.

>Okay, so this combined offense/defense system you've made by looping particle beams around the hull is pretty great. And the acid nanoparticle sprayer you use to dissolve incoming artillery shells before they hit is pretty solid, too. But check this out: I took a pulsed laser-launch space elevator, turned it on its side, and replaced its rocket payloads with containers full of chlorine trifluoride. Now when it fires instead of launching projectiles by laser ablation it creates a giant sword of fire a hundred kilometers long. Top that.

Quenser is straight up more bullshit than the superweapons are though, that mother fucker can bypass a broken radio by literally just firing his gun in binary or some how kill people in power armor by exploding rocks in a way that causes them to ricochet inside the suit to kill the guy wearing it.
>>
>>54314604
Because they are afraid someone will fap to it otherwise.
>>
>>54314565
Level 5 isn't even that good. Misaka is currently busy confronting the fact that she's a useless hindrance when facing all these magical foes. So useless that she flipped shit and stole some weird tech from Crowley to try and make up for it.
>>
>>54314622
Sounds like they're the ones with the problem if it's always in their mind like that.
>>
What exactly is a Science God? As a counterpart to a Maijin, that is.
>>
>>54314591
>Magic is superior.
No it's not. Only a few individuals on the magic side can muster up the power to dwarf the top Espers, and all the others are middling at best ever with shittons of preparations. If you aren't Fiamma the Right or a Magic God, you can't justify that perspective, and nothing in the magic side jump offers that level of ability. The top end of the magic side is stronger than the science side but only because it's more established, and on every level below that, is weaker outright and takes longer to set up on top.

The reality of the situation is that both sides are preeminently populated by weaklings and jobbers who could probably be beaten by a mob of normal humans without training or organization. The difference is that the science side can potentially pump out mobs of superhumans that beat out the magic side's own mooks in numbers that dwarf theirs.
>>
>>54314640
>Level 5 isn't even that good.
Compared to what, magic gods? You don't have access to that level of power anyway, so you have no grounds to argue.
>>
>>54314640
That addresses a fraction of what I said. Multi-Skill, combined with the Level 5 coffin brains, would allow you to utilize a plethora of custom made level 5 powers. It is very much in your ability to at some point, create powers on par with Accelerator or Dark Matter with the help of Hard Science and thus use those powers with Multi Skill.
>>
>>54314688
Level 6, or SYSTEM, something which could theoretically be achieved and is the equivalent power level to Majin for the science side, but has never actually been achieved. Even getting a few percent down the track in that direction would turn anyone doing it into an unrecognizable monster, before shortly collapsing into a dwarf star and killing everyone nearby, if I remember correctly.
>>
>>54314746
Hmmm... any way of avoiding the omnipotence paradox as a Jumper?
>>
>>54314740
Dude, you're arguing with someone who would probably grumble at you about how those guys aren't that tough or powers aren't that good, then refuse to present any argument for why they aren't that strong.
