>I dont waifu or daughteru jumpers.

Actually I was thinking the faery queen in maoyuu hero and demon king. That jump needs a canon companion option badly.
>>
So the strongest cultivators in World of Cultivation can only live till 1000 according to jump? That sucks, it is pretty short compared to others.

Unless it is only talking about the translated chapters at the time the jump was made?
>>
>>54298283
No.
>>
>>54298532
At the time it was made that was the top life span, since then we have seen a couple anomolies like an ancient undead man who is older than most countries and a few gravestone armors who are not quite as old, but they are spirits sealed in armor.

So far I have yet to see anything otherwise other than those few special cases.

Still at work hour 29 about to get off when my ride gets here so I can answer a few questions.
>>
Is it possible to become the warhammer fantasy equivalent of the beast in the orc jump?
>>
The Spirit Totem perk in the Shadowrun jump says it will teach you more about magic but in the game it just provides some bonuses to certain types of magic at the cost of some restriction or disadvantage.

Am I reading either the perk or the game book wrong?
>>
>>54298773
I dont know crap about shadowrun but that could it be the point of PERK itself rather than the totem? Otherwise there wouldn't be much of a reason to use CP to buy a totem when you could get in in universe.

That is literally a guess though, my only knowledge of shadowrun is from shadowrun returns:dragonfall

>>
>>54298811
>that could it be the point of PERK itself rather than the totem?
I figured that would be the case if I was actually reading it right, just hoping the jumpmaker or just someone who knows shadowrun could clarify.

>>
>>54298815
The Beast refers to the biggest baddest ork ever, there were actually several of them but the Imperium didn't figure that out I don't think. Think Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka but there are six of him.
>>
>>54298773
It gives you some bonusses to certain tupes of magic at the cost of some restriction or disadvantage, yes. It also means you've got a friendly spirit, which is probably the more useful part.

Mentor Spirits are supposed to guide and advice the mage in their practise of magic, beyond just granting the base bonusses.

So yeah, you seem to be reading the game book wrong, it certainly can help you learn more magic. Though it's probably not directly teaching.
>>
Did you know you could get so much shit done if you didn't have this pesky goddamn thing called sleep?

>>54296170
Please do, actually. I'm guaranteed to have missed something.

Just keep in mind I've intentionally left out stuff from WoD / Alternate-Draenor due to the... immense fuckery related to THAT alternate-timeline-bouncing-bullshit. Still trying to decide a decent approach.

>>54296181
Chuck it.

>>54295614
Basically it's like D&D in this regard, you have any imaginable spell in-verse (whereas the game focuses mostly on the big damage-dealing spells because MMOlogic) and people like the Kirin Tor keep developing new spells as time goes on.

http://wow.gamepedia.com/Magic_schools - I'd advise combing over this and the different links therein to get a decent feel for it.
>>
>>54298815
The Beast was an Ork so badass his badassery resulted in a WAAAGH several-times-greater than any that had existed till that point - controlled multiple systems and the Orks within that WAAAGH were even developing a better civilization, such that you had well-spoken non-football-hooligan-orks and tech rivalling the Eldar. Just from The Beast's existence.

Also he was fucking huge. Like - HUGE.
>>
>>54298368
Touhou Project fairies are generally good. At worst, they like playing pranks, but in an innocent, childish way that's more annoying than harmful.

To see what I mean, read some of the manga featuring the Three Mischievous Fairies of Light and their silly escapades.
>>
>>54298969
You had multiple Mini-Beasts, but there was one ork at the head of them that was the True Beast, huger than the rest.

So Im prolly going to buy more profession perks than necessary depending on how much I have left over after garrison; but cooking will be a must buy for me.

But Jumpers, what I want to know is what kind of food you make a serve? Do you just go for the kinds of food you like? Food that offers better benefits? Will you follow the recipes or make your own?

This isn't just a WoW question, any food counts.

>>54298997
>alternate-timeline-bouncing-bullshit
I still have no idea how that made any sense because it defies everything the bronze exist for.
>>
>>54298326
Sorry, I messed up on who to quote before, but anyway, if you're looking for good-hearted fairies, the ones from Touhou Project are a good pick.
>>
>>54298970
Thanks!
>>
>>54299059
The idea was they were splitting into factions after Cataclysm, one of those factions wanting to change history to make a better future. Course, the leader of that one got backstabbed by Garrosh.

I mean it contradicts everything they were taught and raised to know but whatchagonnado.
>>
>>54299149
I know they split factions, I didn't mean ideologically; but functionally they were created to curate the timeways because supposedly not following the true path would collapse time itself.

Except that inst true at all and time is more malleable then that. I realize its just another retcon but it pisses me off.

Like how demons have ressurective immortality in Legion, but they make a big deal about Velen's son's death despite him being a demonic Eredar.

WHATEVER fuck it all
>>
>>54299185
>spoilers

to be fair, demons die permanently in one of two ways - being killed in the Nether, or on sufficiently fel-tainted ground. The Exodar there hadn't been wholly tainted, but Rakeesh WAS at the epicenter of a giant fel reaver exploding. I mean we should still be running into him, especially as the Rakeeshi agents are still active, but who knows.

>WHATEVER fuck it all

That's been my general attitude with many a thing, don't worry.

They've retconned the resurrective immortality in 7.3 to be "Sargeras has enslaved the World-Soul of the planet Argus to make sure his armies keep resurrecting."
and somehow he has Aggramar and Eonar as raid bosses.

Argus had a world soul? Shouldn't the naaru have known about that and informed someone that there was a reason the demons were endless? Wouldn't that have been massively important information?

I should stop caring really. The only reason I care at all is old nostalgia, but Blizzard was always bad with ruining its own internal logic.

A yandere perk.

Now, here me out.

Nurgle is the chaos god of love and disease. It therefore stands to reason that his purview would also include diseases of the mind, or diseased love. What's more, his obsession over that goddess or whatever that he actually imprisoned because he loves her so much would absolutely be considered a possessive yandere move.
Therefore, I suggest a perk that either attracts yanderes to you, or allows you to attract people despite yandere tendencies.

>Simply put, Word Bearer/Black Legion stuff cranked up.
Huh, you should also keep in mind that Word Bearers are probably the ones who are most slaved to the Ruinous Powers and that hinders them a lot. Abaddon is a weird case.

You could also get something from Perturabo, who is a Daemon Primarch without having allied himself with any of the Chaos Gods. Although that's basically Abaddon but without becoming a Daemon. Maybe a Chaos-Fortress building perk?

>>54299883
As I said in some earlier thread, all the Chaos Gods can be considered as 'affection' to their followers. But their unique nature makes them demonstrate make some of them seem more openly hostile than the others. Nurgle granting demonhood to almost everyone, taking away the pain and being somewhat joyful (without rape involved) is what makes people consider him the most 'attractive' god to serve as a mortal.

>>54299858
Oh, I totally mixed the Plaguebearers and Nurglings. But yeah, they also come from his followers.

Also, being a demontologist should be enough to summon them on masse. Or a Daemon Prince of Nurgle. I don't really see the need of a specific perk for that task.

You just want to have something like pic related, don't you?

The reason Tzeentch sets up multple levels of plans is because his plans do fail.

Also for some stuff in a few threads before:

Gaze of the Magi:
-Old Kingdom jump has turning abilities into bloodline stuff, such as a lot of those "x improves y" things and the like. Abused it hardcore.
-Assassin's Creed for sharing bloodline things
-Noblesse, Warframe, and I'm sure there's other places that share things like beauty
-Worm, Aldnoah.Zero, and other places make it so anyone who's under you have crazy-ass learning/competency skills so they improve rapidly
-World of Cultivation lets you create a method to make someone stronger, more beautiful, smarter, that stuff.

Hire someone for a temp job, keep them around you, and be amused as hell when you see them shift and grow into something utterly superhuman and out of myth within a couple of months or sooner. Splice them with being a cat from Soul Eater if you want to make it worse with nine souls.

Crimson Paths:
-Monster Cat from Soul Eater (get nine souls)
-Inner Self from Demon's Souls (can gain abilities by assimilating stronger souls and can do it to others)
-Powerful Soul from Anima (do fucking anything to it, it'll eventually grow back)
-Inner World from Infernals (kind of obvious)
-Grove from World Seed (to have some more control)
-There's a perk from Old Kingdom which lets you link pocket worlds you have. We use this on the nine souls.

You train up the ability to have inner worlds in your primary soul, rip a piece of it off and plant it in another soul of yours. Train it up and let the original grow. Rinse. Repeat. Nine souls with worlds.

I really need to sit down and flesh it out hardcore, but it's mostly stuff like that.

Alright so, this appears to be another retcon, BUT - the night elves drew arcane energy from the Well of Eternity, aka the scab over the wound Y'Shaarj used to occupy full of titan blood. And it's also said that the Titans are pumped full of arcane power.

So, looking at ley-lines as well, it seems to be more that arcane energy is born from the world itself, and fel energy being the Language of Chaos and a horrifically corruptive force, the two are just incompatible.

It's why Sargeras was wholly corrupted from inside out when he first broke open Mardum.

Quick question as I currently have a demon at 4,100 CP. How're people's budgets looking right now?

I do think it'd be a good start - however, not quite sure Priestiness would do too much for her. You'd be better off going Druid or Shaman due to the Red Dragonflight's whole shpiel for LIFE.

Also, the jump starts Year 25 ADP, and WC3:TFT ended Year 22 ADP, so there's about a 3 year gap.

>>54300831
I'd say absolutely, yeah. The Warlock class hall campaign involves needing to use a bit of both disciplines. However I'd make doubly sure your arcane rituals are solid, sealed, and stabilized to avoid any mishaps. Illidan's not a good benchmark for anything sane.

And also, could I beg a person to quickly go through Mixed Discounts and tally up how many discounts there are between classes?

Basically I'm asking how people's builds are looking right now price-point wise.

Also as the first guy mentioned last thread, dragon would be kinda off-range in the racial section, however that is the idea behind Dragonkin modifier and Dragonsworn, to eventually become Dragon. Most Sworn don't reach that point beyond their body-part-manifestations, but it be possible if I read Dark Factions correctly.

I might have, but either way I got no problem if people decide to use either of those options to reach that point on their own.

On a sidenote: Any villain options people were hoping to see in the Path of Darkness section that I might've forgotten?

I'm at -200 CP, but I may change my build after I see the Order Hall effects.

Is the G'Hanir branch actually powered by Aviana's power?

For someone who's never played WoW, does the Bringer of Nightmares perk just make me a servant of the WoW gods?
When I spread the Nightmare in-jump and out of jump, am I actually giving them power?
Could I hijack the perk with out-of-jump stuff to spread my own Nightmare thing instead?
What are the mutations like? Are they physical mutations or soul/spirit mutations?
If I don't like the mutations, can I cure them on my own? (This may happen a lot depending on what the mutations are like.)
How is the age the mutations start calculated? If I'm immortal, am I just going to get the mutations every single year given that I've lived far beyond "human" life expectancy?
What is the perk capable of doing? Any examples of canon characters doing stuff with these powers?
>>
>>54301196
Honestly, I wouldn't mind if you just slapped a 1000CP price on it, but I know nothing about WoW, so they might be worth even more. Anyway, it would be nice if you could at least put that stuff about Dragonkin and Dragonsworn in the notes, otherwise I'd be just fanwanking shit.

>G'Hanir

Far as I'm aware it has it's own power, it's just that the original tree became so tied to Aviana that when she died, it didn't want to keep moving on.

>Nightmares questions
Yes for in-jump, up-to-you out of jump, for those first two questions.
It's your own power post-jump unless you decide otherwise.
Primarily physical mutations for the most part.
Yes, you may.
It didn't give me a straight fucking answer so, if immortal I'd say you start gaining them, yes.
Examples of canon characters? Xavius. Just, Xavius. Every other character related to the Nightmare was twisted and corrupted by Xavius into one of his tools.

A way to be a mini-Old god ourselves instead of just a prophet-priest agent and slave to them, no need to grow in power, just give us cosmic power at the price of many titan things not liking us (Don't forget resistance to outside corruption, because the corruptor being corrupted is stupid), maybe a race that we spawn (Somewhat slowly and the limit are the equivalent other races from the Black Empire era?).

Alternatively, old god husbando who starts of kuudere and becomes suprisingly sweet.

Probably everything relating to Carol's alchemy, given that she's probably gone until that time when the previous season's villain saves the heroes. We don't know if the Illuminati alchemy is different.

Regardless, I don't think it's necessary to know the full extent of a character's powers to include it in a jump. The new flashback of Fine shows her doing different stuff than she did in Season 1, and her stuff is still in the jump.

>Because the update, far as I know, is including most of the alcha-loli bullshit.

But how dies that help, really?
Inner World is the size of a small town, but can be expanded with the SHLiHN version of the Wyld shaping charm. But I thought you could chain cast that, MP permitting, and stacking it on one world or spreading it among many worlds won't make a difference in overall size, except the initial boost of 8 small town sized areas.

You could theoretically get those fairies who hang out with Yen Sid to make you your own set of Drive Clothes. But you'll need to get all the Drive Forms the hard way (Sora gets them throughout the game. Wisdom and Master shouldn't be too troublesome, but Final Form is basically random chance and might have only been possible due to Sora absorbing Roxas), and again, you'll need 1/2 people to "fuse" with when using any of the forms.

With how big of a boost they were for fighting in the games, I almost always pick them up, but your mileage may vary.
>>
>>54302862
>What/how much stuff did you bloodline?
-Soul's Grace/Refinement of Beauty/Cultivating Strength (Tales of Demons and Gods)

-Who I Was (My Past) and Who I Am (My Present) Will Guide Who I Will Become
(My Future) (German Hollow Quest)

Oh, that's just a myth that toxoplasma gondii does that. There's absolutely zero evidence that the parasitic spores in my brain are controlling my behavior. I'm not the primary host for toxoplasma, just a carrier, so it doesn't bother to control me. Worst thing that could happen is that I'd pass it on to my children and cause them horrible developmental problems in the womb.

>Necromancy is "Always evil" in WoW
You shouldn't base your condemnation of something on if it's considered evil in-setting, you should judge it on its own merits. Considering Necromancy here works by stuffing departed souls into their former bodies and basically mind-controlling them... Yeah, there's probably a reason it's considered evil.
>>
>>54304108
You probably do. Toxoplasma gondii effects over thirty percent of the human population.
>>
>>54304140
That was actually my point. Necromancy isn't well regarded in most settings, but there's only a couple where it's "always evil", which is entirely due to the mechanics behind it.
>>
>>54303999

>>
>>54304199
Oh, I don't treat Companion CP purchases as automatic buys or total obedience collars. For my Chains they're generally just, "You'll definitely meet these people and the situation will probably be friendly." From there it's on me to actually befriend them and convince them to come along.

In the Restarted Chain the success rate for it was actually rather low. Over the course of thirty-ish Jumps I probably wasted about a thousand CP on Companions who didn't end up coming along in the end.

I just really like OAA's OC Companions. They're neat and flavorful.

Oh, sure, I've read those studies you're thinking of, but I can cite just as many (and from the current day, not outdated ones) indicating the opposite. People just want to imagine there being some crazy mind control brain parasite, because it's a dramatic idea.

>>54304186
Yeah, sure, in rats. Because those are the intended host. But humans? Nah. Thirty percent of humanity has it, do you think that thirty percent of all people on the planet are not bothered by cat waste?

http://wow.gamepedia.com/Chromatus

Literally the only sapient Chromatic, and he's got hydra syndrome.

As well:
>The chromatic dragonflight of Blackrock Spire was created by Nefarian's magical experiments, using the blood of dragons from the other dragonflights.[1] These experiments were largely considered failures; many whelps died before hatching, and those that survived were unstable, short-lived, volatile, and/or deformed

If people want them, sure I'll add them. But I sincerely doubted anybody wanted something like this when Twilights are essentially a better / more successful variation of the Chromatic.

Hrmmmmmmm.

That is how Hobgoblins happened. At the same time though you'd need to delineate it due to there being a shit-ton of different possibilities for that. Nefarian's experiments were all alchemical and biological, the goblins' would be more tech-oriented, same with gnomes.

Too many options that, in-and-of-themselves, would be weird to arrange in a purchase.
>>
>>54301273
I like a lot of what you've written, but don't you think this is getting a little too big? I feel like, past a certain point, more options just become extra clutter. WoW has an absolutely colossal amount of material, and boiling all of that down to something more concise might just not be possible. When I opened the PDF and saw that it was 128 pages (and still had several obvious incomplete sections) it killed a lot of the excitement I had.

Some of that is probably filler that could be made a little less wordy, but the Artifact section in particular seems kind of extraneous.

Something that I noticed was missing was a possible timeline dice-roll (with a buyout option), maybe divided by expansion? Then artifacts could then just be rolled into a Legion-only scenario where you just get the one for your class. Dedicated jumpers can always make/steal/etc others in-setting, or you could just add a generic 'buy an artifact for x-hundred CP' option. That way they don't need an entire
24-page section.

I did like the assorted perks selection, particularly that some have multiple pre-reqs. Even if you prune some things out, this jump will always be huge and having some semblance of tech/talent trees gives it a bit of a unique flavor that most other jumps don't have.

Hey OAA, I have a question about The Lion From the North. Is the effect greater the more contact we have with whatever legacy we leave? For example, let's say I was a mentor figure for a young hero in training. What sort of effect would that have? Would I inspire a dynasty of heroes from that point, with my student's children and/or students leading the way? Or would the effect be lessened by how involved I am? Sort of a 'vague legend vs defined hero' kind of thing?
>>
>>54304270
Would you do the same for Companions that are explicitly the type of people (either from overwhelming loyalty, or just having a personality that plays perfectly with the Jumper, even if they're not a fawning Yes-Man) that you'd pretty much have to abuse to turn away from you?

Just curious.

>>
>>54305213
We have those? Kinky. I didn't know we had a Sunstone Jump.

>>54305272
Yeah, I treat all my Companion buys that way. I know some Companions say they're automatically loyal forever and ever, but that never seems very fun to write. So I usually downgrade that kind of thing to, "This person has a compelling reason/desire to hang around Jumper." and figure out what that might be based on their personality and history.

I just try to write things out naturally and use a little bit of common sense when planning things out. If that all makes sense.

Using A Night in the Woods as an example, Jumper!Me (in a self-insert chain) would totally shell out the CP to guarantee a meet-up on friendly terms with Mae. But I honestly doubt that I could convince her to come along on a chain without getting her some help and putting in some major work on my end. I'd still put up the CP for the shot though, even if by the end of my write-up I figure she wouldn't come with.

More can be better, and as I said a lot of it is good. And that should be encouraged, yes!

But more does not /equal/ better.

Not every element of a setting needs to be laid out in the Jump document. Some things may be better left for the inquisitive jumper to figure out on their own, or for jumpers familiar with the setting to capitalize on. Skyrim doesn't have an entry for every artifact, Pokemon doesn't have an entry for every single pokemon, gym, or even something as fundamental as type, etc.

Just because other jumps have less doesn't mean that this jump needs less, but it does show that you can make a good, fun jump for a setting without cataloging every aspect of that setting.

The specifics of how to do that are up to the jumpmaker. I'm not suggesting a minimalist, bare-bones jump. WoW has a large, well-defined class system and a very convoluted mythology behind everything, so it's already going to be a big document, and I really like the flavor of what is already there. But this is well on its way to 200 pages, which just seems excessive to me.

Don't be a Daemon Prince, anon. It involves a Chaos God ripping out your soul and replacing it with a creampie of raw Warp energy.
>>
>>54305523
I suggest you build a robot that can already do that and that Import it as your ACU

Since you made the jump I assume you know WoW better than I do. How do you think people are gonna react if an Undead takes on leadership of the Silverhand?

>My love of Necromancy draws me to this perk, the fact I know Necromancy is "Always evil" in WoW makes me shy away. WHAT DO I DO!?
>Considering Necromancy here works by stuffing departed souls into their former bodies and basically mind-controlling them... Yeah, there's probably a reason it's considered evil.

If the two of you would read the perk, you'd realise the The Graven One isn't the standard WoW necromancy where you stuff the souls of the dead into a corpse.

>but instead of merely shoving a mindless intelligence or the soul of the dead into the construct, the bone creature awakens it’s own intelligence. This new creature is from then on capable of learning and growing just as any living being would, with the Graven One to nurture it.

So, I wouldn't call this variant of it Always Evil.

Wait, this lets you permanently increase your magical power by absorbing a lot of raw magic? Neat! That's something I've wanted for a while.

Check if they float in water, there by being made out of wood, there by being a witch, there by needing to executed?

Also seconding changing Kobold.

What's the technology like in the Honorverse?
The wikipedia page only talks about space travel.
>>
>>54305891
Sorta standard space opera, except when it's retconned to be shit because non-protagonist factions aren't allowed to be anything other than literal fascist propaganda archetypes (strong but corrupt enemy that will collapse with one strong blow, secretive conspiracy that somehow has run everything forever but is also defeatable)

Medical technology's pretty good, most people on developed worlds live for hundreds of years. Gravity manipulation is a mature science, and used for just about everything, it seems. Computing is powerful, but there aren't really any AI. Manufacturing is advanced and quick rapid prototyping and 3D printing, but only the Freemasons...er, sorry, Free Mesans, have nanotech. They use it to mind control people.

Howdy all! Since activity is up I'll ask my question again. If I get Master Roshi from the beginning of Dragon Ball (Original Series) and give him a Potion of Youth (Sims 3) how powerful will the Three-Hundred and Nine year old be in his peak youth.

I made a Amnesic using Sufficiently Analysed (SCP) waters from the Greek River Lethe with some minor reworking done to make it so it only erases Emotional and Memetic Context and not the whole memory. Blend with the Targeted Amneiac formulas that I learned back in the Foundation and you've got a great targeted

They're gonna freak the fuck out, most of them will reject you out of hand, it's going to be madness in the Sanctum.

Yet if you prove yourself as the best among them, you'll earn acceptance and possibly an even more tight-knit amount of loyalty.

ACU's can self upgrade in game. They 'build' on themselves. Given that I think it would be a bit difficult and very redundant to cheat your way around the upgrade process by repairing your way into it. Just use the system already in place.

So, closer to Firefly than Eclipse Phase.

Could you answer this >>54305238?
>>
>>54306011
Yeah, the core worlds of Firefly aren't a terrible comparison for Honorverse tech.
>>
>>54306031
I've been trying to figure out an answer for it as actually, I hadn't thought about direct vs indirect influence.

Gimme a bit.
>>
>>54306006
They can? So if i have a better generator design I could upload a version of it that suits an ACU and have it replace it's existing generator? (Or other component)
>>
>>54306078
Oh, okay, sorry. Thanks for thinking it over.
>>
>>54306126
No problem man, my fault for not giving it thought sooner.
>>
>>54306080
In game they do have upgrades for things like their power and mass generating systems.

Pretty sure you can also get your engineers to help speed it up.

Even unaided, as long as you have the resources, I think it only takes a few minutes to do even the long upgrades.

About the only way to improve that would be to upgrade their whole system to build and repair things faster, and I don't know of any perks that just make your tech better. Plenty of magic boosters, haven't seen any tech boosters.

>Here you go.
...I suppose this is me being an uneducated heathen, but none of this really sticks out at me as must haves. I like the potion doc though.
>>
>>54306191
Supcom tech is already fast and I only need the upgrades to be possible, if major upgades can be done in minutes then even major overhauls should be doable on fairly short notice.
>>
>>54306249
Yeah, I was assuming you wanted it to go faster, but I don't know how you could make that happen.
>>
>>54306316
Nah, I just want to be able to upgrade my ACU with after each tech heavy jump. Possibly also make it bigger over time if that is possible. I wouldn't be all too bothered if it took longer.
>>
>>54305513
I kind of agree. I wish he'd break it up into Alliance and Horde jumps, or maybe into parts based on the expansions like Red did for MCU.
>>
>>54306384
Why not scan it with some kind of out of jump tech, feed it the blueprint and print another acu, then make a bigger one piece by piece?

the thing about making it bigger is that in between Each jump it goes into its bay,and the bay doesn't get bigger....
