Looking to do more work on the Rings.
https://pastebin.com/1xnAZsvw
Its not completely up to date with the code I have. I'm interested in new content (your weird interests), spelling/typing mistakes, and balance issues. The big remaining project I was looking at before posting the new version is a rewrite of Strange World, expanded by its various flavors, I could use help figuring out what that should look like.

also I didn't appreciate how quickly this board moves, I stop looking at it for a day and two full threads cap.

I seriously hope not...
He was nice and really understanding about all of my mistakes in understanding his CYOA.
And it was a lot of fun...
Please don't disappear on us, D&D-san.
>>
>>54275190
If it was, I don't think off-topic threads from other boards would get moved there at all.
>>
>>54275253
from what I was told, it was made to house things removed from other boards to cut down on confusion of people who had their threads removed. However its also been over run with other people making actual threads there, since they started directing undesirables to that board officially, it looks even more suspicious. Its mostly failed at what it was for already

also only the paranoid survive and I'm not sure if my connection is static or not and I'm 6 months from relocating, I'd rather not risk it.

In response to the hunter cyoa

power level: great hunter
specialization: mariner
powers:
- improved lung rank 2
- beast eye rank 2
- strength rank 3 (11)
- regeneration rank 2 (8)
- endurance rank 2 (3)
- stealth rank 2 (0)
companions:
- megalodon x2
- babe
equipment:
- weapons rank 4 (electric trident) (8)
- net rank 3 (4)
- weight belt rank 2 (1)

I'm a GH in exile. I've got a small one man sailboat and I sail around where ever I want, being led by or leading my two megalodons. I'll make a point to visit all the coastal towns I can, helping clear out any monsters in the region and if any ships are traveling the same route I am, offer to escort them; however I don't want to stay anywhere too long lest I get into needless trouble with the local government for being an exile.

as an aside it seems to be very difficult to find a good water themed fantasy character online...

Nice interactive thing. I'm Feeling Lucky/Full Random needs some code work, since it's trivially easy to break the point tracking with those, but otherwise it's really effective.

Fixed Job seems to be missing (it's still referenced 3 times). I'm going to hate myself for saying this, but "Not By Myself" interacts with "Voyerism" and "Forced Reflex" in an exploitable way. The text of "Not By Myself" only excludes options that FORCE you to masturbate, not options that simply trigger WHEN you masturbate. By taking Forced Reflex on Not By Myself you cannot masturbate, and therefor any option that triggers when you masturbate (IE voyerism and its sub options) can never affect you.

I didn't write the baseline code or even half the things in it, it was pretty developed when I got it. The built in calculator is fucking cool though. Unfortunately its a piece of the code that I don't understand well so I'm not sure how I'd get it to say incorporate the extra points automatically, but its something I'd like to do.

Also the main thing I wanted to do, the strange world upgrade, this might be the better board for working that out since its a little more conventional of a cyoa thing
>>
>>54275922
>Text only CYOA
I strongly prefer CYOAs with pictures. There are some great text only CYOAs like Enchanted Rings, Handler, Altering History and Lavender, but the majority of text CYOAs are ultimately forgettable and very dry to read, there are a lot of text CYOAs which I have started making a build for and then just quieting half way, because it got boring.

I don't read them because if the author couldn't make himself find a dozen of pictures for his cyoa and combine them with his text in something as basic as paint net, he's probably a lazy fuck who didn't put a lot of effort into designing and writing his creation.

Thank you all for taking the time to answer. Also holy crap, Tokhaar Gol responded to me! This is a great day!

Ahem, anyhow, I guess that means I'll most likely end up using pictures for most of my cyoas (provided I actually have the motivation and creativity to make them, though they'll probably be pretty crappy, and it's possible I might not even make any.)

Thanks anyways though!
>>
>>54276077
>because you're not going to get very many responses related to your CYOA here.
Considering most people are probably too retarded to figure out how to save the paste as .html, plus the fact that most people will be looking for image posts here, I think it's a decent number of replies.

I'm aware finding pictures can be very time-consuming. When I see a cyoa with good-looking pictures (not just pretty, they have to fit the theme of the cyoa etc.), it makes me hopeful that the author put some effort into his work. A wall of text in pdf format doesn't achieve that.

When I make my own stuff I get frustrated when I waste hours on finding suitable pictures. I need to justify wasting that time somehow

Silly me, I posted this in the dying thread after New Thread links had been posted:

So, in the course of my work on my design document for my Yuri CYOA, I have realized that I have accidentally finished before I even knew it. With that in mind, I would like to report that I am about to start crafting the Companions section in secret and, then, working on actually assembling the thing with images in its final form.

Therefore, if you would like a sneak peek at what kind of things are going to be in it or you would like to make any suggestions at all (please, please, oh my gosh, for fuck's sake don't be afraid to make suggestions), please do so now before I begin slowly killing myself with image collection: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1jEIhgnDAVtiKR60HMK8smKhecnq5N9BmTyPaD_2LYeQ/edit?usp=sharing

Have a nice day, and thanks to those who voted for Gatcha in the recent Traveller poll. I greatly appreciate it.

Working on a CYOA.
Do you prefer statistics, even if they might be underutilized, or more elaborate descriptions, even if they may not be as easily quantified?
>>
>>54277305
You should honestly change it.
>>
>>54255021
First impression, it's really aesthetically fancy for an amateur.

Poor font choice though, and too many made up words.

Level five in both sorts of politics, since that's what I'll need to secure and hold my throne. I'll put my remaining classes into strategy, since this is broadly applicable. And the others, I'll take after becoming emperor. In the meanwhile, I can use my political acumen to, at the very least, ensure that the positions to which I delegate these duties are filled by loyal and competent individuals.

>>54255034
I'll betroth to both the Flame and the Cosmech. It's a bad deal by the numbers, but I hope to syncretize the two faiths and establish a modern religion of cosmech flame

Not gonna marry into the Crucibii, as satisfying their woman apparently requires a ton of personal combat skill, but I do hope to help them restore their worlds.

I don't think it's worth marrying into the Xernites, they're already pretty loyal and it would piss off too many.

Auxilios is an obvious no.

Qomani have a cute waifu but I don't yet meet her requirements. That said, they represent the empire's power. Supporting them in this symbolic way is a good start to get things rolling. She'll just have to wait until my skills pick up a bit before I can properly satisfy her. It shouldn't be too long.

I'm not going to give Renon the prestige of joining with them like this, but I am going to support Venhalia's actions surreptitiously. Once she's been successful, I'll take her to my side.

The unseen blades are super useful, but I'm not so sure about marrying into them. I'm afraid it would piss off too many. Well, looking at who it is though, I guess it's worth it.

I'm not at all sure that this is the right choice, but I'm not going to marry into Orion. At least, not now. If I can get a pledge from them to rejoin the empire, I can make a betrothal later. But I won't give them that legitimacy for nothing.
>>
>>54277457
Fuck off faggot.
>>
>>54277467
The Futurists already hate me, so there's not a lot to be gained by wooing them. I do sympathize with them, but their leadership seems fractious and anti-imperial, so I'd rather rob them of their support by granting the plebs increased power outside of Futurist control. Doing this will naturally put me up against the nobility, but I'll need to do that to restore Imperial authority anyway. Ensuring that Imperial authority benefits the plebs will help to ensure that I maintain plebian support even if I don't support the Futurists. Which I am not going to do. Swapping corrupt nobles for corrupt unions won't help anybody, and if they're not corrupt, they'll wind up supporting me anyway as long as I improve the lot of the pleb.

Solar Lords are already happy with me, and the people that would appreciate me marrying into them do not need further wooing either; they're either too pissed at me to bother with, or happy enough to be satisfied without such a marriage. But I intend to seat the reformed religion back in the Solar sector.

I'm going to keep in contact with Bassalia, but I don't think it's actually in the Empire's best interests to marry her.

And... What? No conclusion page? Surely there should be something where you can pick palaces, flagships, some initial military campaigns, or something?

Well, here's my final relations:

Flame: 8
Cosmech: 4
Crucibii: 4
Xern: 7
Auxilios: 0
Qomani: 11
Renon: 5
Blades: 8
Orion: 0
Futurists: -1
Solars: 10
Syntetica: 5
>>
>>54277476
Cosmech Church is decidedly less happy with me than I initially hoped, and it looks like whatever I do to restore the Crucibii will need to be things that don't directly increase their power. Unfortunate! But the blades and Qomani will help me deal with the nobility (whether Renon, Orion, or any other nails that stick out) and once they're removed from their overly authoritative positions, I'll be able to make concessions to the plebs, thereby weakening the footing of the Futurists and the Cosmech. Hopefully I can then institute a doctrinal reform with the Flame Temple and incorporate some Cosmech theology, as long as Christina and her minions are pacified in public, it may be a tumultuous revelation, but it should be able to work given my high stats in pleb and patrician politics, and as a nice added bonus, I can probably get myself named a prophet.

This may not be a perfect strategy, but the Unseen Blades will definitely be able to help ironing out a few little wrinkles, and if there's a point where it all goes to hell (and there will probably be a few such instances, though hopefully all small in scale) then the Legios Qomani can come in.

I would say that descriptions are always better.

If you have

>Sword
>attack speed 3
>Damage 6

and

>Battleaxe
>Attack speed 4
>Damage 4

The sword will be seen as better but if you give the descriptions such as;

Sword
>A fairly long, thin, sharp blade made of steel. The weapons ability to parry incoming enemy attacks as well as it's ability to chop a torso or arm in half makes it the weapon of choice for most soldiers.

and

Axe
>This small axe isn't made for cutting down great oaks, but what it loses in chopping down trees it gains in chopping down people. While the reach isn't long if you manage to close the gap between you and your opponent this quick and hard-hitting weapon with surely best most foes you'll come across.

I prefer descriptions, but stats have a few benefits. One is they normally take up much less space. They're also handy for baseline comparisons; humans are Str 4, ogres are Str 8, that kind of thing.

And of course if you're planning on specific mechanics stats may be necessary, even if it's just to qualify for perks or companions or the like.

He gazed up at the enormous face. Forty years it had taken him to learn what kind of smile was hidden beneath the dark moustache. O cruel, needless misunderstanding! O stubborn, self-willed exile from the loving breast! Two gin-scented tears trickled down the sides of his nose. But it was all right, everything was all right, the struggle was finished. He had won the victory over himself. He loved Big Black Cocks

>You're literally saying it's fine for the degenerate minority here to push their anti-waifu propaganda. It's the exact same thing. The minority does not need to be politically correct catered to.
Is this baiting? First of all, I'm not "literally" saying that. Second of all, I'm not even saying something along those lines. I'm saying that it's fine to try to make things accommodating for everyone. It's like ramps for people on wheelchairs, it doesn't really inconvenience the people without disabilities, but it makes things easier for people with them. That's the kind of thing I'm saying would be reasonable.

It'll really depend on how much you want to write for each mission, but I'd suggest trying to keep them around the same length to standardize it. Other than that it's not really overly important. The first two missions you have on the top that take all of their horizontal area look perfectly fine. It's Easy to read and understand, it's just when you start adding differing sizes, like the two bellow does it gt wonky.

It's an orgy.

Seriously, you people are so insecure and sensitive. It's not even the fact that you dislike the concept of swinging that makes me say this, but the fact that you're grossly uncomfortable at having other people bring it up and feel the need to voice your distaste, as if we'd all judge you if you didn't tell us all about how much you hate it and that you're disgusted by anons like the one you've been single-mindedly arguing with.

Then you go on to pick up your discount harems in this week's most popular waifu CYOA and talk about how you'd be the most amazing lover and hold hands with them.

I'm sure you're not unaware enough to act like that in real life, and certainly not when you're trying to get with an actual girl (if you've tried at all). But you're certainly quite pathetic and you should thankful that you're only allowed to act like this online where you can pretend that you're in the right instead of meekly accepting all the shit you deserve so much.
>>
>>54281362
>>54277419
What if the maul does bonus damage against armoured enemies? What if a certain mission requires you to fight a lot of said armoured enemies? What if the maul is cheaper to make than the sword and is more easily distributed to your party or army?

Context is important when considering mechanics like these because it will vary between each CYOA. You can't objectify these things on an ill-defined medium like CYOAs so easily.

Statistics can work and can work very well with descriptions. It comes down to a matter of discouraging minmaxing with the way you create the CYOA and encouraging what I like to call "fun optimization," where there is a variety of potential viable builds.

If you're into swinging, get some thicker skin.
This happens with literally everything. The only reason people into cuckoldry get constantly harassed is because they try to act like their fetish is somehow normal or respected. Fetishes deviating heavily from the norm are things that the majority normally finds disgusting and have absolutely no qualms about voicing their dislike. Trying to shame people into accepting some fringe fetish is pretty ridiculous and makes me think you don't experience much 'real life'. Or just live in a really strong echo chamber.

But every time theres content with those choices, or even a hint of them there is a dedicated contingent of cuckwatchers ready to scream about it and it just gets really old. Why do you people care about what some anon chooses to do with his choices?

Sure, and that would be irritating as fuck. But I literally cannot think of a time when it hasn't all started when a CYOA got posted and some anon started shrieking "IS THIS KEKOLDRY??! IS THIS KEKFETISHFUCKMATERIAL???" which draws out the (honestly from what I can see) very few pro cuck posters and then they all go back and forth for the rest of the thread.

You see one person whining 8 hours later, dragging the argument back up. So no, it's on him.

>>54282392

Yes it is. It's re-starting an argument, and thus the arguing lies on their heads.

This is some grade a delusional rambling.

I dunno man. Its not even this specific instance to be honest, it just seems to happen more and more often and its irritating.
>>
>>54282399
No, it's pretty obviously on the guys who started it.
Why does time even matter? It's clearly a guy who just started browsing the thread and came across the argument. It's no different than replying to it when it was happening.
>>
>>54282404
>people shit on everything!
>Just think for a second: Why do people only shit on cucks?
>>
>>54282396
Getting so triggered you need to argue that your fetish is 'normal' because other people hate it is more a signal of thin skin to me, anon. After all, one can be mocking you just because he thinks you're pathetic, rather than because you anger him.

I like how you've run yourself in circles, little cuck.
>>
>>54282399
>Yes it is. It's re-starting an argument, and thus the arguing lies on their heads.
Really not anon, this is a fairly slow thread on a slow board; if they were bringing up an argument from a dead thread you'd have something. Its hardly uncommon for people to reply for hours old posts.
>>
>>54282406
Re-starting a dead argument is like reopening an old wound. It's still a new injury.

Like I said though, you just seem oddly self-interested in defending the cuck.
>>
>>54282409
>well it FEELS like cucks are have thinner skin than me...I could never have thin skin...

>Like I said though
You didn't. Maybe you were talking to someone else?
And in any case, I've have already explained myself. I have equally niche and disgusting fetishes.
>>
>>54282420
I'd rather you explain why you think low-effort bait is gonna get replies. People get bored with you if you're just repeating yourself.
>>
>>54282434
You're all out of ideas, huh? Well, it was nice talking to you.
>>
>>54282430
>But it's not dead to them
Dead to everyone else. Who cares if it's new to the cuck? He should only reply if he's actually around when it starts up, so as not to cause more shit than necessary and so the people involved can actually defend themselves.
>>
>>54282396
If you think people need to be butthurt to tell you that they think it's disgusting, you don't have any clue what you're talking about. Disgust is not in any way related to feeling hurt.

People don't need 'thicker skin', they just need to be more accepting towards it and they have no obligation to do that.
>>
>>54282439
Just looking for an excuse to exit the conversation, eh? Whatever helps you feel better, anon.
>>
>>54282426
>you need to stop going to /v/

/vg/ more than anything, but you might be right. In any case, its still far from uncommon in these threads to reply to old posts; these threads are for most of the day.
>>
>>54282451
Yeah, but it's also considered the height of faggotry to reply to an argument almost half a day ago just to start it up again.
>>
>>54282440
>Dead to everyone else
Who cares if it's dead to everyone else? It's not dead to the cuck. Therefore, they aren't themselves starting anything. It's all on the baiting retards at the very beginning -- after all, no fish is going to avoid bait.
>He should only reply if he's actually around when it starts up, so as not to cause more shit than necessary and so the people involved can actually defend themselves.
That's dumb. That way nobody would ever reply to old posts.
>>
>>54282398
You leave me no choice, then. I will distribute your people as butt slaves across the empire.

I always wanted to make an army-builder CYOA. I may use this as a premise where you must lead humanity to victory against neighboring kingdoms of subhumans such as elves, kitsunes and bunnygirls.
>>
>>54282464
>Who cares if it's dead to everyone else?
Everyone else? I'm noticing a big discrepancy in numbers between the two, anon.

>That's dumb
It's stupid to concentrate shitposting over a single into a single event instead of ruining the entire thread?

>Nobody would ever reply to old posts
Good?
>>
>>54282447
No, my friend, I just understand that you already exited it. What kind of person deliberately argues with what they think is bait? Besides, it's pretty clear you only said it as one last defence.
>>

Just admit that's what you want and you can take it, jeez. Here, reply to this and you got the last word. You win the tendies.
>>
>>54282474
>Everyone else?
Then they should focus on the cause of it all.
>Discrepancy of numbers
I meant in terms of determining who is at fault. If someone truly did drag an old argument back from the dead, they would share some blame. Not when they just reply to what is, to them, a living argument.
>It's stupid to concentrate shitposting over a single into a single event instead of ruining the entire thread?
It's stupid to concentrate POSTING over an entire thread.
>Good?
No? Old posts still have as much value as newer ones.
>>54282487

>>
>>54282396
If the majority had thicker skin this wouldn't be an issue. The thing is, your rants about how people are committing injustice by shittalking your fetish won't do anything but convince people that they shouldn't respect your or your fetish.

>Implying that elves and kitsunes are not superior to humans
>>
>>54282457
I can't argue that anon. And it didn't even really add anything to the thread.

Cuckolding isn't my fetish. My fetish is transformation. I'm simply getting tired of wallowing through endless dredge of whining about cuck this and cuck that every time someone hints at anything but lifelong monogamy.

>This isn't a hugbox where everyone accepts one another.
This also isn't your safe space devoid of all content that might trigger you. If you are afraid nobody will settle for you if they try or have ever tried anyone else, or if your mother left when you were little, or whatever this is really about, man up and go see a therapist.

Given we're just throwing stuff back and forth in the spiral to page 11 now, in retrospect I think the Cookie one was fine as it was. I don't know why people just can't wrap their heads around the concept that maybe not all choices are for them? Like the snake (I think it was the snake) was way too flirty for my taste, so I just didn't pick her. I didn't think that meant "SHE SLEPT WITH THAT OLD MAN AND/OR WILL SLEEP WITH EVERYONE YOU MEET"; and hell, even if I did I would still just not pick her, I wouldn't post for 12 hours straight about her flaws and how ZBG was a cuckold.

I mean he is, but thats neither here nor there.

Now, some of the criticisms about writing and stuff were on point, but it was probably the best example of autists gets worked up about perceived imperfections in imaginary girls I've seen in a while.

The genie DLC arguments were actually fairly civil. Nobody was screaming, people were posting long, detailed complaints or just voiced disappointment. When the author asked for suggestions, people gave detailed descriptions of changes they'd want. And when implemented, the updated DLC was received decently.

If anything, the genie arguments are a model of how these arguments SHOULD go.
>>
>>54282711

Thats true. I'm willing to be there are at least a few hardcore autists that are determined to root out the cuck menace at all costs though.
>>
>>54282624
Honestly, I tried give reasonable critique, because it was pretty apparent that it was way more of a presentation issue than actually content wise. When he just completely ignored any post actually being critical and instead only reacted to the cuck shitposting, well, I realized at least I may gain some enjoyment from that.

>>54282620

I think it was also a bit of an aftershock from the Cookie arguments in a way, too many rattled autist anons getting riled up.
>>
>>54282768
I don't see it much. When you've been here a long time, you can notice the difference between legitimate complaint and shitposting. It's all in the phrasing and persistence, mainly. Shitposters are almost theatrical and have trouble voicing specific issues without copying other people, who are trying to complain legitimately.

Most of the time I spot posts I KNOW are serious, there was actual cuck shit. Sometimes someone is being paranoid, but they'll admit to that or just try and get the author to alter the wording rather than screaming all thread through the same few canned responses like a shitposter does. Conversely, when I see a non-cuck CYOA accused of it, it's almost always in the non-specific, grandiose, and canned way a shitposter does it.

The issue with your point is that it's an argument about leaving people alone to do what they want in private. But this thread isn't private, and people only complain when other people bring up their fetish in what's essentially public. See the problem? If cucks wouldn't post talking about their fetish nobody would even be able to criticize them.

Was it the dream of genie one? What happened?
>>
>>54282696
>a reasonable argument that if they and their partner are cool with it, its okay
The same goes for shitting dicknipples and literally every other fetish. It's purely about disgust, a primal feeling that is in no relation to somethings moral value.
Like, there is absolutely nothing morally wrong with scat. Doesn't mean I won't voice my displeasure if somebody would post a build including that here and I think there is no reasonable argument to be made as for why I should have to accept scat.
>>
>>54282806
>Most of the time I spot posts I KNOW are serious, there was actual cuck shit.

I guess I just can't wrap my ahead around people who can't do the same.
>>
>>54282676
If she's shit, you'll only get rees if people devil advocate for her. >>
>>54282830
>If cucks wouldn't post talking about their fetish nobody would even be able to criticize them.
Sure, I get that. I just don't get why that, of all things seems to derail a thread faster than any other fetish. If this discussion was about scat or whatever I'd feel the same way.

>>54282835
I guess like I said in >>54282842 I don't see the point in complaining about the stuff other people are getting off on. If these threads were inundated with scatcuckincest CYOAs it might be something, but if its a niche thing just ignore it and move on.

>>
>>54282792
>"You've RUINED THIS FOREVER"
Don't ignore the presentation issue. Anons brought up explicitly why the presentation bothered them. Specifically, it was complaints about how it reflected on your genie's feelings/role and made it seem like she didn't love you. That's a legitimate problem that you're dismissing here. I get you pitying the author, but that doesn't make criticism invalid, and to everyone's credit, those some people tried to help him adjust the wording instead of throwing the DLC out like he insisted at first.
>>
>>54282842
Some people feel the need to voice their opinions, even when uncalled for. The most obnoxious of these people like to pretend their opinions are facts. The beauty of anonymity is that, unless you're paying more attention than it deserves, you'll never keep track of who's doing it.

Nice thing about the discord, really. You have a few names to attach certain shitposting behavior too.

>>54282880
>The only ree posts I saw were when people felt he wasn't going to respond to criticism, after he indicated he was going to that all stopped
Responding to criticism is a fine line I think; just because an anon doesn't like something doesn't mean they know what the fuck they're talking about.
>>
>>54282867
>I just don't get why that, of all things seems to derail a thread faster than any other fetish.
Because it's a fetish that's essentially about betrayal. Instead of just doing something gross, you get off on the idea of your loved one betraying you and running around behind your back, which not only flies in the face of all of your instincts, but at the same time hurts you emotionally through the betrayal and revelation she doesn't actually care about or love you, and is just using you for money/security. It's far, far more personal a hurt than someone liking to eat shit, which is why people can be more comical/lighthearted about the later.

And cucks themselves are reviled because they go against the norm and actually are around by those feelings of betrayal and hurt. This makes them repulsive to other people.
>>
>>54282867
>I just don't get why that, of all things seems to derail a thread faster than any other fetish
It's been stated a bunch of time, but the thing is, people don't try to so desperately defend their fetishes like people into cuckoldry do. No incest/scat fetishist don't seriously go 'there's nothing inherently wrong with it, it's wrong for you to judge me'.

>>
>>54282907
>Some expressed it well, but there were several who acted like literal spoiled children.
You have to understand that people here aren't masters of social interaction. We're all weirdos and most of us are probably at least a little awkward. That much is expected. Intent is what matters here in this case. Did those people calm down and want to help when the author was looking for it? If so, then their intent was good, even if they didn't phrase themselves well.
>>

Just learn the differences in "controversy". As another anon said, if you've been here long enough you'll learn to tell the difference between actual criticism and shitposting.

Though, to be honest, plenty of anons attempting actual criticism sometimes boil down to "I personally don't like thing, please change"
>>
>>54282907
Issue is, that criticism was of presentation. That anon doesn't know what they're talking about, because the text isn't getting the idea across to them well. That's a major issue with CYOA composition, not merely a matter of taste.
>>
>>54282907
>Responding to criticism is a fine line I think; just because an anon doesn't like something doesn't mean they know what the fuck they're talking about.
Responding to criticism doesn't mean taking it as gospel. You can respond to criticism by saying why you don't think it's valid.
Not responding to criticism at all is just about the worst thing you could do.
>>
>>54282958
Cuck doesn't mean the same thing anymore. The way this site has evolved the word cuck is so far removed from the actual fetish it's hilarious.
>>
>>54282979
>You can respond to criticism by saying why you don't think it's valid.
Unfortunately, you know very well that can just lead to endless back and forth arguments, especially in a place like this. And there were plenty of things in the Cookie example that would have been better ignored.

Not all, mind you, there were plenty of good criticisms there as well.
>>
>>54282917
Everyone has always hated it. The only reason you're seeing it posted more often is because of a combination of there being an upswing of doujins featuring it (which is thankfully dying down) and because of a few public personalities in gaming, animation, politics, journalism or D-rank celebrities have tried to come out and claim that being a cuck is enlightened and superior and a legitimate lifestyle choice. This is why people have more cause to talk about and hate on it.
>>
>>54282984
Except everyone, or almost everyone here right now is talking about it in a pretty literal sense.
>>
>>54282952
Right. It's basically like getting your favorite meal but finding a cockroach in it right away. Maybe you should be more reasonable and get something else, or maybe it's not a big deal to not be able to eat, but you're still going to be pissed on an emotional level.
>>
>>54282943
A lot of it would depend on delivery.
>>
>>54283005
>>54283009
You know what? I went to google cuck to prove that 4chan is always using it wrong, but as it turns out I thought the term was way more specific than it actually is. My bad boys, carry on
>>
>>54282984
Cuck doesn't come from the fetish though. Even then, people basically just replaced 'ntr' with 'cuck'.
>>
>>54282966
Whining about people voicing criticism is pretty much going against site and thread culture in general. This isn't the place to hide what you're thinking.
>>
>>54283003
If an argument doesn't progress, it's fine to not continue it. I definitely think all reasonable attempts at criticism should at least get a response.
>>
>>54282943
Just post your update, it'll make some people happy. This discussion has very little to do with your CYOA in actuality.
>>
>>54283066
Eh, I'll wait till next thread. This one's practically dead.
>>
>>54283099
Not a bad call, try not to get banned before the new thread gets made, though.
>>
>>54282945
>what's irritating about your argument is just the complaining about complaining

The "don't complain about complaints" argument is normally code for "stop telling me to not be a faggot and shitting up the thread as is my god given right"
>>
>>54282943
If you're talking about the space emperor cyoa, '''''interesting''''' discussion. I think the cyoa is actually pretty neat, but as it stands I wouldn't repost it simply because it would derail the thread.
and because it spreads Christian propaganda

you wouldn't get close to spending even measly 1 billion dollar even if you spend that thousand fully for every day in century

Too true, my friend.

JULIAN WAS RIGHT

The people who're telling you your build is shit because it includes some cuck element or whatever, are at least tangentially talking about cyoas.

Christianity did nothing wrong.
>>

Sorry anon, cucking isnt my thing, I have just never seen the "dont complain about the complainers" argument used as anything but an attempted smokescreen for people who got called out on being a faggot.

Julian's only failure was dying before he accomplished his plans.

I think the problem is the fact that a lot of you faggots define almost anything as cucking. It probably wouldn't be too far fetched to say that some of you believe one-night-stands are 100% only for cuck fetishists.

I think that's the original guy's argument, which is not necessarily that he's into cuckoldry. Although I didn't really read any of the posts in the argument since most of it seemed to just be finger pointing.

>Spreading lies about Roman pagans seems pretty unchristian to me, anon.
Eh, those Romans were persecuting the Christians pretty hard. Can you blame them?

>Christianity did nothing wrong.
To be honest Christianity is a pretty shitty religion. It's all about self hatred and the hatred of sexuality. Like don't be proud over your achievements, don't feel lust, don't yearn after things, you are full of sin and should be ashamed and only though Gods mercy can you be redeemed.

If we compare Christianity with greek mythology. Greek mythology tells stories where men fight with monsters and achieve the impossible. These stories inspire and uplift men and tells them they can achieve greatness if they are ambitious enough. While christian stories tells use to be humble, to not think too much of yourself, that everyone is sinful and our sexuality is sinful by nature and the only time men achieve great and impossible things is when God helps them to do things. They tell us we should pray for things and not fight for them using our wit and our own strength. These stories really strives to domesticates the raw feelings and passion of mankind and turn him into some passionless automaton.
>>
>>54283369
Christianity started out as some secret underground cult. That and the whole refusing to bow to Caesar stuff, makes me understand why they got persecuted. Doesn't mean I'm going to excuse persecution.
Going 'oh, Roman pagans are so decadent, they constantly have orgies and are soo unvirtuos', when it's just completely made up doesn't become virtuous just because they were wronged previously.
>>
>>54282629
Everyone knows all elves are gay
>>
>>54283414
Greek religion didn't encourage you to act like their gods, though. Monogamy was encouraged and it was considered shameful to be a man-slut, though not a crime or anything. The only exception was that men were also expected to have a young boy as a lover in addition to their wife.
>>
>>54283414
Yeah greek mythology feels more like an attempt to understand how the world works by visualizing personifiications of it's various aspects (weather, time, love whatever), which is why the gods were not all supposed to be completely moral. Christianity is like anti-intellectualism telling yoou that everything is beyond your understanding anyway and telling you to just believe in god whose allegedly "good" nature is obviously at odds with the imperfect reality, no matter which clumsy excuse christians cook up.
>>
>>54283430
Their issue with the emperors was that they wanted to be worshiped as gods, and expected every province to do a few nominal prayers towards the Emperor and the patron gods of Rome. This wasn't a big deal to other polytheistic religions, but in Christianity obeying the law in this case would be a mortal sin and damn them to hell. Jews too, which is the source of all of Rome's problems with the Jews.

Speaking of lies, the Romans also had various myths about Christians. They thought that they were flesh-eating, blood-drinking vampires because of the eucharist
>>
>>54283613
They didn't intentionally spread that though. People just thought so, because they always did it in privacy.
>>
>>54283414
You obviously know nothing about the Bible.
>>
>>54283414
What's wrong with you. You sound like you read a few Nietzsche quotes and then read nothing else.

Greek religion isn't even a thing. Greek religions is literally for shitters who can't think. There's a reason we remember Greek philosophy, not religion. By contrast, Christianity combined the two.

Christianity teaches you to care for the important things: love, and those you love.
>>
>>54284516
Also, Christianity really popularised the whole idea of being a Good Person, as opposed to being an Honourable Person. In other words, you have Christianity to thank for our guilt culture -- MUCH better than some shitty shame culture. Suddenly, with Christianity, everything's on you. Society doesn't get to dictate whether you were good or bad any more.

The difference is huge.

Can people on 4chan go to heaven?

Can General Butt Naked go to heaven?
>>
>>54284674
With Jesus Christ, yes.
>>
>>54284715
Why?
>>
>>54284764
Through the Lord, anyone can be redeemed, so long as they truly accept Him. No matter how badly you screw up, no matter how horrible of a life you have led, when you accept the Lord into your life, the way to heaven is open to you.
>>
>>54284809
I don't think I want to go there. What are my options?
>>
>>54284816
Well, feel free to do whatever you want in life then. Although then your only option for the afterlife is Hell, which, by all accounts, isn't really a fun place. But maybe you'll find something you like there.

>>54284809
