Does anyone else find it strange that there is little actual adventure in most of these CYOAs? They are often collections of comfy benefits or character builders. I still enjoy them but they seem to not actually be CYOAs in the traditional sense.

I wanted to see how many wives you could take, and ultimately what the loyalty situation would be like. Nine is the final answer, and it includes everything but the Xernites and the Legios.

In terms of loyalty, the Xernites almost hate me so I will likely have to aid them soon to restore their fair. Orion, the Nobles, and the Crucibii barely tolerate me so they are next on the list, likely going with the Boundless Flame purge on them while protecting the Crucibii from their decadent chieftans.

The Boundless, Cosmech, Futurists, and Syntetica are largely neutral, I can placate them for now until I have time later. Eventually I want to have the Boundless be the religion of the nobility and the Cosmech be the religion of the plebians.

In terms of the most loyal, we have the Auxilios, Qumani, Blades, and Lords. The first three I can use to help get my house in order via military might, while the Lords can provide me conscripts and resources.

One of the things I think I failed to communicate with the CYOA was just how many external wars are going on (Xenos hordes sacking their way almost to Qoma itself before being barely pushed back). That might make people think twice about doing massive civil reform and sparking revolts.

But if I did that through listing enemies in an epilogue page, people would want to interact with them to defeat them. But how would you do that in an empire as fragmented as this one? You curry favor among the various factions - through betrothal. Furthermore, it'd be nearly impossible to quantify what level of success the player would see because their own skill and approach would be reliant on unquantifiable elements. Ultimately, I'm not sure if I would want to do it just because of how many things the average person would have to keep track of and how unappealing it could become. I might just make an epilogue page listing your enemies without the ability to interact with enemy factions.

Look up the problem of induction/black swan theory. No part of science is '100% proven'. It's just a theoretical impossibility. In the past people thought classical mechanics is absolutely true, but know it's just an approximation.

Death
Ageless Kingdom (Sure to be a nice place with wise people)
Master Necromancy (Skeletal Guards are neat and can die without qualms)
Death's Plateau (I imagine the grand city full of all sorts of different types of architecture from around the world (after all, everyone dies), and it twists and turns and its just amazing)
Geography
-Thick Forests (General spooky and holy atmosphere)
-Spectral Lands (I like the idea of some strange things and spirit journies in the kingdom of death)
-Thick Fog (Fits well for the idea of death, and I like that my citizens can navigate it with ease) [Non canon: I can control it in my power fantasy, as the ruler of the kingdom, making it appear and dissapear when needed]
-Mountain Range (Biggest mountain is right behind city so that the people of the city can build into it also)
Citizen Life (I got very basic here because I wanted my people to be well rounded happy)
-One Tier in everything for 12 points
-Tier two and Three in Craftmanship (You learn craft well when you don't age)
Garrisons
-1 Grand Dragon
-50 Empire's Hands
-100 Imperial Magus
-1000 Skeletons
-10 of Those Cast Out (Both Satan and God must bow to death, and he claims their fallen cuz he's cool like that)
Seals (I get three of these as death (: )
-Baby Eldrich Horror (Cutie, I can find a place for him to grow somewhere beneath the big city in the sewer system. There's plenty of room.
-Possessed Phone (Very useful to have great knowledge) [NON CANON: I want to replace her phone with a mystical being that can appear in any painting INCLUDING phones, really any image. In my mind she is bored and just wants a friend.]
-Unbound Train (Useful for transport and the Reaper Sword and everything else is shit) [NON CANON: In my mind he can shapeshift, the train, and is semi sentient. That way he can turn into a PALE HORSE, and be death's ultimate transport machine]

Royal Council
-Ophelia as Specalist. (Knows much about the land and would be a useful right hand little girl, plus very cute.)
-Owl Girl as Spymaster. (Needs a lot to learn about non animal spying to be sure, but if I have her use my 50 Hands as she does her owls she's a force to be reckoned with. Plus she'll be friends with Ophelia.)
-Christoph III as War Master. (Young but incredibly intelligent. Good for unique ideas and for general analysis. Persumably friends with Owl Girl and Ophelia as they're mostly young. Good man.)
-Bartholomew Esq as Diplomat. (He's dapper, charming, but not afraid to fight. The perfect head diplomat, he won't let our honor be tarnished or be walked over, but he is a charmer. Fatherly figure to kids and good friend to me.)
-Royal Bodyguard is Damien. (Wise monk to train me, lots of wisdom, good in a fight, good with the kids and with tempering the angrier members of the council. I like having him around.)
-T'lak The Wanderer as Bodyguard 2 (Gives wisdom from ALL over, brings femininity to the team, maybe sexual tension with Damien since they're both worldly. Trust her with my life.)
-Bodyguard Three: Gracelyn Morandi (An amazing wizard, will give a magical perspective on issues, intelligent. Bodyguard only in name, in reality I send her to war council with Christoph. She can temper his insanity and she can /ss/ him too.)
Waifu
-Nali and Fiyu Tilsane (Only good seeming wives. Multipurpose and pretty) [NON CANON: In my mind they can combine into one girl who would be a mix of the two of them, i.e a normal person. She keeps herself seperate as twins for public apperances though.)
DLC
-Crusaders Companion
-Hectate the Conquerer (Now I can scythe fight like nobodies business, plus I'm incredibly hard to injure. Combine this with great war council, dragon, demons and angels, eldritch horror and we're a good force)
-Yuki Onna the Stormbringer (I like magic and I want to learn to do it and so I take her too.)

You can't do Vancian Magic with Skill Tier 2: Math. But you could do bullshit like being able to throw things with perfect aim like Bullseye, becouse you can calculate exactly how to you need to throw shit to hit any target and similar stuff.
