Yes, I forgot I took One in All when I entered A Song of Ice and Fire. It was pretty deep into my chain and I led an army of about 300 men, that I had already personally trained, against the Lannisters. Bit of a bloodbath, that one.

Nah, Cultivation itself is just expanding your spirit and chi, it can have inherent benefits but the actual abilities are something different. I left my students to invent their own techniques. As for how I'm teaching people, Generic Xianxia has a perk for it, appropriately enough.

Sir, as a professional technoshaman I must agree to disagree.

Because my DMT research-parties have conclusively proven they're actually hyperdimensional machine elves.

>>53897636
There's a perk from Nanoha that lets you summon friends betwen jumps. Since the "worm" bit is actually a sort of exotic matter construct, it's best to have the summon mods from Bayonetta and FF12: Revenant Wings to avoid the risk of massive reality glitches.

Though personally, I just hooked it up with my civ by mass producing fatima-magical girls and using the monstergirl technology from SS13 to improve innate empathy in the host-species stage of it's relationship.

So it just chills next to the Silicon Life, Electrofisher and Safeguards by subsuming a constituent species, instead of overwriting them directly.

>>53897729
I'm pretty sure Azathoth's pipe bois are the eldritch version of those free verse poetry hipsters people try to ignore on campus, actually.

At least use that pipe or guitar from Infernals if you're trying to serenade that special someone-who-will-be

>>53897612
I manage an elaborate magical girl system, when I need to mobilise a local militia but don't want to act openly.

Broadly speaking, there's two key components. There's the recruitment centers: https://pastebin.com/U3hE0V1v

And there's the "Shards", which only attach to adult graduates of the program: https://pastebin.com/97CY6uKc

We've lost too many jumps to time shenanigans, but it really cuts down on the weird drama, so I have mixed opinions on the matter.

Complication where you end up in the wild west and have to get back to the future traveling one second per second, without retgoning the plot point that made you exist and come to the past in the first place.

>>
>>53899478
I'm sorry, but enslaving the jumpmakers is economically unfeasible and you just have to accept that. We either end up with crappy jumps because the jumpmakers are overworked and don't have time to research properly on top of their sustaining existence, or we start paying them for jumps in real money. If they actually start spending the monopoly money we've been using they'll learn it's not real. If we don't do either production drops with the drop in labor.

Basically, it's sort of like the happy place Genii in Girl Genius go to in order to make weird things happen. Except Exalted being Exalted, much more literal.

Hey, you know how last thread there was the conversation about how to create Primordials, and someone suggested to use the First Magic? I thought about it, and came to the conclusion that it might be easier to just use the Fourth instead, since Pure Chaos is supposedly full of unlimited potential or something. If Primordials sprung out of a well spring of potential, wouldn't it make more sense to reign that potential in then to try and brute force it? Am I wrong on this front?

Oh, people were talking about creating Primordials? Like-the OG Primordials, not more Devil Tigers or getting Solars to learn better PPE-variants or somesuch?

Huh. I've only had one idea how to go about it, and it would involve a very, very specific build; mine lacks the impregnate anything-perk from Greek Mythology, and so probably can't do it. Because it would have to involve impregnating the Shinma.

Anyway, that's hard to answer because 1. as I'm sure people have pointed out, there isn't a 100% canon answer to where they came from, and 2. the Fourth itself is OC, so it's specifics are just as hard to nail down. All I know for certain is that the "no form of magic or technology could bring them back" part is either going to be the crippling limit or the only hope for pulling it off once you reach the "destroy concepts" level of mastery.

http://rathess.xi.co.nz/exalted/index.php/Ink_Monkeys,_vol._40:_The_Legend_of_the_Titans

http://nobilis.me/quotes:thoughts-on-yozi-origins

One of the few things we DO know about the Primordials' birth, is that they "sprang from their own dreams". Cytherea's awakening caused the Wyld to be "pushed infinitely in all directions" which allowed them to gain definition and grow.

http://nobilis.me/quotes:cytherea

This is important because, what little we know of Cytherea in canon DOES characterise her as an enabler. She was canonically the other Primordial who engineered Creation, and during the Daystar's creation Theion used her to create flames that surpassed his own.

So based on that, I...don't think that the Fourth would be useful because the original birth didn't just "reign in" the Wyld's potential-it directed and amplified it into a vast source of creative energy, like a spiritual particle accelerator. Whereas from what I can tell, the Fourth is first and foremost a reductive force so "destroying absence" or somesuch would probably be very unwieldly as wel as lacking the raw oomph needed to generate one.

Of the jumps? Minish Cap, IMO.

The 'generic' one doesn't actually cover a great deal of content and really annoys me, while the WW one feels really sparse and only has a couple of cool things. Maybe that BotW one that's in the works will be better though.

Out of the games, I'd say BotW and ALBW are the best.

Hmm. But that's also a special case, because literally all the Primordials that we know of were made at the same time, so it might be the case that at this late stage after all that stuff happened that a new primordial could appear at any moment from the Wyld.
I wasn't really thinking of any kind of 'destruction of absence' because I in general think that's pretty dumb, but I was also banking on the idea that because it happened once on its own, that it could happen again if you just...narrowed down the possibilities until it happening a second time became more likely. Maybe if you used the First as well to add more energy to the system it'd work out better, I don't know. I haven't taken Fate or Exalted in my chain yet, this is all theoretical.

I dunno, that sounds very risky when one of the defined concepts of "absence of things at this point in space" already exists. It's the Underworld. Actually, there's a Void Circle Necromancy that already enables teleportation by throwing you into the Maw of Oblivion and trusting the Neverborn to also throw the concept of your death in there so you reconstitute somewhere else. Call me pessimistic, but since the Primordials predate spatial constants while the Underworld doesn't it seems more likely to me that would inadvertantly tap into that bad juju instead.

Are you thinking about Oramus and The Dragon's Shadow? I know "non-standard" is a very, very tricky term to apply to them, but considering one literally defines the boundaries of possibility and the other is motivated by antagonism towards the fundamental constants of existence.

Assuming you somehow aim for their method of creation, there's one more hazily defined risk: During the first age, a Sidereal chasing a demon found a portal to temporary possible futures later called the Arch of Undreamt Eternities. It was found to react negatively to attempts to define it; the demon mistook it for the metaphorical Gates of Saigoth and apparently died from comprehension failure, whereas the Sidereal who "accepted it for what it was and opened her eyes to its transcendent reality" later started to suspect even naming it diminished it conceptually somehow.

...it's not directly connected to either Primordial, but it is technically an example of an impossible thing becoming partially possible. What I'm concerned by it's example is the possibility that Oramus and Ebby already hog too much conceptual space for a similar being to come into existence.

Might is the operative word, I suppose. It's just that it also happens to be the only example we have of it happening that doesn't involve Exaltations, and there's no information on whether or not it could reoccur.

If you do aim to achieve it via conceptual reoccurence then I think combining the First, Third and HSDW would be the most useful. But by using the Third as the energy supply not the First; what little we know of the First associates it with Ether Clumps. And Ether Clumps are the thing that creates Assassin's Zabaniya, so I would think the First would be more useful for generating whatever concepts or conditions led to the conditions that caused Primordials to spawn.

And HSDW (preferably EX Territory/Item Creation) would be needed simply because the level of concept reinforcement via magic the whole process would demand feats of power far beyond even Primate Murder's true ressurection of a human (which is apparently explicitly beyond True Magic), Goetia's universal hacking or Beast!Kiara's slaughter loop. At least, those are the closest I can think of to nonhuman True Magic users in the franchise and out of those only Beast!Kiara is confirmed using a 3rd offshoot for her attack.

>>53900807
Those lines were from the 4th's description in the F/SN update, but sorta. Basically the prime mover among the Shinma is Advaita Iraivan (a subdivision of Nirguna, the Shinma of Existence), which defines the concept of separation by interaction with the other Shinma. Allows for ideas like "Malfeas is bigger than a yeddim" to exist, basically.

So I thought anon's idea of utilising the 4th would be to indirectly manipulate it by attempting to destroy a sufficiently specific distinction about how it applies to a certain sector of the Wyld, in order to render it inseparable from the dream-state the Primordials occured within.

>>
>>53901054
Essentially, Link, Ganon, and Zelda are all tied to the same curse that keeps Ganon fighting the other two forever. Ganon is both the reincarnation of and a curse by the first great evil, Demise. And Link's bloodline was cursed by Demise to never find peace because of it. Zelda herself is the soul of the first goddess made Mortal, who also opposed Demise, so she's kinda trapped in this shitshow too.

>>
>>53901305
That happens in the Wind Waker timeline. The soul of the original hero has been lost, and Ganondorf is imprisoned under an entire fuckin ocean. Turns out that while there's still evil monsters in the world, none of them reach the same level of 'fucking everything' that Ganon does.

BotW however is an example of the cycle never breaking over a very, VERY long time, which eventually ends with Ganon becoming a primordial evil even more terrifying than his progenitor.
>>
>>53901379
I mean, yeah, shit is still going to happen because there needs to be a villain to be a game, but the spirit tracks timeline has two games without ganon, and no signs of him showing up again.

Granted, BotW's placement is all sorts of fuckery, so take that with a grain of salt. Specifically, the description for salt references wind waker.
>>
>>53901345
>>53901391
I don't think Demise's Curse is gone in the Wind Waker timeline just because Ganondorf is. I mean, all Demise said was that an incarnation of his hatred would follow Link and Zelda throughout all time, and attempt to destroy them. According to the timeline, there were other threats between when Demise cursed them and when Ganondorf first showed up. It's very possible that Vaati and other villains were previous incarnations of Demise's hatred, and that Ganondorf just stuck around because he was the most competent and dangerous incarnation and/or because he had the Triforce of Power.
>>
>>53900936
I don't actually think the dream state was a particularly unique state of being for the Wyld, so much as a lack of turbulence. I imagine if you dissolved all the Primordials into nothing and got rid of creation, eventually it'd go back to that state, since the trigger seems to be a Primordial gaining self-awareness and recognizing the existence of things which aren't itself or within the context of its own existence.

Like, within those links you provided, it seems to me that they were similar in nature to Fae, emergent properties of the interactions between Shinma and each other, and one day one of them realized that it existed within a greater context then the one of its own imagining. It's why I'm dubious of it being necessarily valuable to use the First Magic to add or change something, when I feel if you reduced things in a particular way you could get the same results through nothing but natural Shinmaic interactions.

That all said, if you did add the First Magic to the equation, I feel like you're just falling into the trap of creating Primordials Ex Nihilo, which would take significantly more effort than it's worth and be nothing but brute forcing the issue. Adding anything that wasn't there in the first place, destroyed accidentally as collateral and necessary, but not easily replaceable, I feel is messing with the equation.

I don't know, maybe it's my habit of treating observable patterns of interactions as dogma for whether or not something can happen and how, but when I see a rule I tend to conclude that it's consistent until I see otherwise.
>>
>>53901485
IIRC, ganon got meditative and balanced his soul out or something, so he died thinking 'this is fine' rather than 'curses, foiled again'.
>>
>>53901485
That, and he's just a good fan-favorite villain.
>>
>>53901485
The curse in its entirety probably isn't gone no, but I think Demise's soul is at least sealed now. Don't forget that they didn't kill Ganon, they imprisoned him at the bottom of the ocean, turned to stone, with the most holy weapon there is jammed in his head. At the very least the biggest problem has been taken care of.
>>
>>53900417

Hmm, reading both the old and new versions, you're told that the job is to kill Korosensei but as a jumper actually doing that job is the fail condition ("if you seriously harm or kill a student or teacher, you lose").

I'm mainly skeptical of that first part because the idea of irreversible change seems to be an ongoing theme in the setting: From Zen-Mu losing it's luster, to the formation of the Underworld, to the unprecedented Devil-Tiger occurence. Nothing concrete, but-given Primordials naturally un-dissolve without Ghost Eating Technique, I always got the impression doing so permanently was supposed to be one of those utter aberrations.

My mistake since I was talking about the thought experiment so much, but cards on the table: To start with, I'm COMPLETELY dubious about using the True Magics to create more Primodials as a concept because Primate Murder seems to be far weaker than one, and can do things TMs can't. I understand the risk of "messing with the equation", but from how I look at it the former would already be doing so even more than trying to recursively manifest the preconditional trends that gave rise to them with the First, as opposed to deconstructing an end product in the hopes the components will naturally reform in an atypical manner. Though beyond that-I admit to jumping to brute force via the Third/HSDW precisely because of my doubt in the thing's success, and since Cytherea and Oramus are already very unique for the purpose of the thought exercise overloaded concept reinforcement was the only thing I could imagine plausibly emulating their feats.

In the particular case of Primordial genesis, I actually agree with you fundamentally on that last sentence. It's just that because of that and what I said about change, I also think the operation is fundamentally flawed barring forcing the issue through with countless other relatvent buffing perks. I know that sort of thing's betting on a million in one chance, but the way I see it-it's that, or barring the other thing I thought of literally impossible because of the way Essence phenomena seems to work.

I might actually be able to come up with a couple alternative directions to take it, but pretty much every idea I have runs along the same general lines of 'create system where it it theoretically possible for something to occur, then somehow manipulate probability to make what could happen guaranteed to happen'.

That, or some kind of half-measure, like building a pseudo-Primordial manually out of a Shinma-like architecture, or actual Shinma if you're doing it in Exalted, using some kind of talecrafting to weave the interactions of concepts into a consistent being capable of recognizing itself like the Primordials do, with roughly the same abilities. Still a blunt force measure though, so I'm not entirely happy with it.

Wrong wrong wrong.

A male Gerudo is born every 100 odd years, he is made their king. Link and Zelda constantly reincarnate due to the Cycle, but Ganon doesn't.

Demise cursed Link and Zelda with his "evil" to eternally haunt them. It found a couple of hosts before it ended up in Ganon. Ganon has never actually died, or been reincarnated. He's mostly been sealed, exiled to another realm or "defeated". But he's never been killed and then reincarnated like Link and Zelda do. It's the same guy, he just keeps coming back. I don't get where you think that reversing change in Exalted is such a big deal when everything in the setting is a product of unchanging conceptual physics anyway. Wouldn't it be possible to bring everything back to those base inalienable functions of reality relatively easily? I don't think that there has ever been truly fundamental change in Exalted so much as there have been changes to Creation, which there is a difference I think.

I imagine you'd need bonafide Shinma to make something that operates on the same scope at similar levels of efficiency, since all the mix energy/power source substitute perks I can remember don't encompass abstract cosmic principles as far as I remember. I also imagine the major challenge of such a system would be determining where the system ends at the proto-Primordial begins since Inevitability Techniques mentions Yozis bending causality, and it's pointed out Yozis are Outside Fate but not Samsara. Though to be fair, that last part really says more about how relatively brittle "Fate" is in Exalted.

This train of thought does make me wonder about using Temple of Thought/Favor of Tashlan to improve the rate of creating Heretical Charms, though. 2e's stance that Primodials are the sum of their Charms, RotSE listing the core Charms that make up Ebby's selfhood, Ebby "downloading" all his Charms into his bride's wedding ring and the fact Heretical Charms are wholly new ones make me wonder what might happen if you fused two Cosmic Principles/associated general Charms, then stored them in a similar N/A rank artifact. Which would be the most resource exhaustive thing made since the Exaltations themselves.

And of course, prior to that you'd need a way to survive ego death by the frankenyozi you've started turning into long enough to scoop it out and put somewhere else-like, I dunno, whatever Theion had that turned his greatness into a nee-san and sprouted an imouto inside of him.

Anyway, I still think the activation mechanism is the big hurdle given even Oramus apparently still needed Cytherea's kaboom to fully come into being.

There isn't one, but it's probably more cost effective to use the Veritable cost option to take three 800 point races that are more palatable to you, since there's not actually a significant function difference between what the 1000 cp options give you and what you could find on the wiki that would only cost 800.

Ah, to be fair the psycho yandere part is actually from canon, where as in Duel Monsters: The Heroes, she just wants to show her love by putting you through immense suffering, because that's what she thinks love is. This is also canon, though she gets better.

That being said, I imagine the reason why she hasn't gone full YHVH is that she's too softhearted.

>>53902516
One of the Demon perks lets you. You pay full price for the most expensive race, half-price for the next most expensive race, and the least expensive one is free. This still applies if they're all the same price, with one being full price, one being discounted, and one being free.

Hmm.

This probably means you'd have to actually fuck with the Shinma until they go back to the way they were back before the Primordial woke up, since all other things standing equal, the Shinma have probably become different enough that even given an arbitrarily long period of time to develop, new Proto-Primordials might never appear in the same way because the system of interactions are different, and thus the resultant emergent properties would obviously also have changed.

At that point, you might as well just create a separate space with it's own Shinma that works out the same and use that as a base. Would probably work out better since you could probably carry it with you between jumps, which would be necessary to use it for anything or get anything meaningful done with it.

If nothing else, if Fair Folk and Raksha start appearing, you know that you did something right. The thing about Primordials, which differentiates them from everything else that comes from Pure Chaos, is that they're basically their own cosmic order defined less by their personal narrative and more about the context in which they exist. So, you will literally never know whether or not they'll appear or not until the second they show up, because they validate their own existence seemingly the same moment they show up.

Depends on what you mean by beasts? If you mean natural wildlife (which can look damn supernatural), then no. But there are gods/spirits that look animal-shaped and use Essence, artificially created lifeforms that use Essence and unique creatures called Behemoths (which is a catch-all term for big, scary lifeform created by serious supernatural mojo-usually Primordials, sometimes the Wyld) definitely use Essence.

And Raksha use Essence, yeah.

Essence very often behaves like chi in Dragonball-it's as much a life energy as a mana bar.

>The Shinma are so obscure I wouldn't know where to even begin creating new ones that function sufficiently alike the old ones to guarantee those conditions.
You could start by impregnating them, and then figure out how to create and mutilate concepts through the First and Fourth magic in combination, to make them artificially. That probably wouldn't work on its own though, so you'd have to rely on enormous amounts of magical oomph to carry through on the legwork, loath as I am to admit it. I honestly don't really hate doing things the hard way of stacking on bonuses forever, I just vastly prefer going the maximum efficiency and peak elegance route.
>Let alone a "space" to "store" them in given as a basic function they determine the parameters of such concepts in the first place.
That part's easy. You just solve it by making more Shinma to hold the other Shinma inside! And another layer of Shinma on the outside to isolate contact with the rest of the Shinma.

Demons? They're definitely sapient, where'd you hear that from? They do use Essence though.

Unfortunately the gameline treats Behemoths as unique encounters. There's one statted up in Infernals, there's at least one other in the Compass setting books; I THINK it's the West one? But there isn't a single catalogue for them.

Oh, and frustratingly Graceful Wicked Masques (the Raksha sourcebook) uses an entirely DIFFERENT definition of "behemoth" to denote "dream-crafted mostly unreal rampaging monster the fae use to attack each other's Valor" which strictly speaking has nothing to do with the former definition. Though the lone N/A rank example of the latter is much, much more powerful than any known surviving Behemoth in the Age of Sorrows. And yes, they too use Essence to work.

I...think that covers everything vaguely beastly. As a general rule, autonomous Essence usage tends to coincide with some degree of sapience.

>>53902876

I mean, in terms of magic, maybe, but a lot of my biggest 'oomphf' comes from phoning in bigger fish from other worlds and being able to do so with a blank cheque. In terms of physical power, I peter out around solar system level. That's just my estimate, though - if I went EVEN FURTHER BEYOND, please inform me. This chain got confusing. Eternity jobs way too much in-universe so I only use them in tight spots to avoid tempting fate. And I wasn't in any position to establish any kind of covenant with the Tribunal at the time of Marvel Magic.

That said, if the Great Will is willing to help this early in the timeline, that measure is fixed handily enough.

>Depends on what you mean by beasts? If you mean natural wildlife (which can look damn supernatural), then no.
That's not true at all. There are things like the Earth-Shattering Worms, Ash Devourers, Serpents of Colorless Fire, etc. And those are just the natural beings of Creation, if we're counting Wyld mutants than there are tons of magical creatures in Creation. It's just that they're not emphasized by the books. Exalted aren't D&D-style adventurers, random encounters with magical wildlife aren't what their stories are focused on.
>>
>>53903079
>Demons? They're definitely sapient, where'd you hear that from? They do use Essence though.
Incorrect. Many species of demon are sapient, but not all. There are plenty that are either bestial or just so alien that they can't be called sapient. Firmin, Hopping Puppeteers, Annules, Badiak, Radeken...plenty of non-sapient First Circle Demons.

There was a picture of a brass dragon (another metallic that normally has similar wings) who had more normal wings in official dragonlance art, since ravenloft is one of the settings connected to dragonlance you could use that jump to get a more normal looking gold dragon using whatever logic led to that brass having normal wings.

Well, going by SMT 1 and 2, we can measure that YHVH is at least two times stronger then Michael, the most powerful enemy in SMT 1, with a level of...116, I believe? In SMT 2, he's level 54, with YHVH being level 108. So, going by SMT 1, that would make him level 232. In other words, his stats might as well be "You Lose" compared to everyone else.

>But that's like trying to recreate your hometown by knocking down somebody else's buildings and pushing the rubble into the shape of your neighbourhood.

Are you saying that pile of rocks you cobbled together into a sofa doesn't bare a striking resemblance to the one in your neighbor's house?
More realistically though, it'd be like throwing meteors at a planet to try and move the tectonic plates and alter the atmosphere in just the right way for life on it to start evolving the way it did in ancient times.

>Also-that just leads to the question of how you're supposed to haul around the fattest Shinma that holds all the others inside itself.

Why would you need to move it? It defines spacial conditions in and of itself. You could also maybe literally place it inside your soul if you feel the need. The primary issue is making the Fat Shinma and getting the Pure Chaos inside to behave the way you want, and to produce Proto-Primordials. At that point, it's just a matter of waking them up.
>>
>>53903106
The Great Will seems to work behind the scenes, giving certain people the chance to become a Messiah in order to defy YHVH and the other major powers. Note, this is just a chance. We see in one of the DLCs of Apocalypse that the heroes actually DO fail, at least once, and have to be revived. This implies that, despite everyone talking about how YHVH is just an avatar of the Great Will, that He actually has a lot of control over it and it has to work in the background in order to even give humanity a chance to stop Him.
>>
>>53903106

Let's see, the Behemoths I can remember:

Arad the Hunter: Giant caveman who has powers for tracking and killing, and gains limited access to the powers of those he eats.

Mother Bog: Sapient ecosystem, moves very slowly but can overwhelm entire countries. Likes to reanimate corpses into weird fungal zombies.

The Redwood Mantis: A mobile redwood tree in the shape of a mantis, aside from being big there isn't much notable.

The Clay Man: The original prototype of humanity, a creature of living earth. In 2nd Edition was actually the prototype of the Jadeborn, and his current appearance is the result of the other Primordials taking him apart to study Autocthon's work to learn how to make humans and putting him back together wrong.

Mokrellus the Many-Handed: Physically unimpressive, just a guy with a dozen arms. But he's actually the hub for a huge hive-mind stretching across Creation, in theory any mortal can be inducted into Mokrellus's being. Has his fingers in a lot of pies.

Sayla: Dragon-looking thing with claws and teeth made of spirit-trapping crystal, uses this to enslave both elementals and the ghosts of those she slays. Reported to guard a horde of that crystal, as well.

Halkolem: A weird dragon made out of books. Hangs out in Malfeas most of the time, technically not bound and could leave whenever it wants. Knows everything anyone it eats ever knew.

Mount Mostath: Part glacier, part mammoth. Hangs out in the north and somehow herds the other mountains around.

Oliphem: Giant stone golem with a single giant glass eye. Guards the sea and guides ships to safe passage. Has been doing a poor job of this ever since a Solar Exalted by the name of Desus (Polyphemus and Odysseus, Oliphem and Desus, get it?) shattered his eye to keep him from aiding the Lintha. Hates Solars for this reason.

I completely forgot Nyarlathotep was a thing, and didn't know about Azathoth/Cthulhu at all. Those are some pretty good options, so thanks.

And yeah, the family part is kinda hard. Shub Niggurath would mesh nicely with the others, but that would require going into the spinoffs, which isn't strictly allowed.

Either way, I'll think of something. Thanks again!

Well...the defining spatial conditions thing would be an issue because by the same token, that'd be hard to bundle into the warehouse. Unless you made them INSIDE the Warehouse to start with, I guess? Still, your stuff's probably going to get super disorganized when suddenly Florp and Slood and Fat are as inseparable as time, space and identity in there.

Also something tells me putting experimental shinma in your souls is the concept version of gargling with pepsi and mentos, because you'd be effectively grafting brand new facets of existence in yourself with, realistically, very little means of predicting how they'd react to an existing reference point.

Timelessness ceasing to be already seems like a pretty danged big change.

>Also something tells me putting experimental shinma in your souls is the concept version of gargling with pepsi and mentos, because you'd be effectively grafting brand new facets of existence in yourself with, realistically, very little means of predicting how they'd react to an existing reference point.
Maybe I'm just a little bit crazy, or desensitized at this point from having so many precautionary measures and perks that make me immune to the consequences of my own actions, but that just sounds funny to me. It also probably isn't flattering that my next immediate thought was 'then I'll shove it in some other poor asshole's soul to see what happens first!'

On a related note, I'd probably not actually go through with it until I've spent a few centuries planning it out and deliberating on the consequences of my every action from inside frozen time, and would then try to make the system wholly self-contained and self-neutralizing so it recycles or disperse's into whatever it is that Shinma aren't.(because the Shinma are not universal entities as far as I understand)(There are also regions of the Wyld outside the range of the Shinma that defines existence and nonexistence, so there is definitely some wonky shit going on with these things, considering that there's obviously stuff over there.)

Anuhles and Radeken are sapient though.

Anuhles aren't any less sapient than other demons, and are actual pretty damn smart with 5/3/3 mental stats. This is spider discrimination.

Radeken are pretty stupid, granted, but they occasionally show sentiment/compassion and their usual goal if they manage to get to Creation is to purposefully set themselves up as petty tyrant-gods.

That said, there's also the infernal beasts as usually (there are exceptions there though, like the Unju) non-sapient demons considered below even the 1st Circles, like the Peghedu, Skittering Steeds or the Riwannon, Living Pavilions.

>>53904168
I was really tempted to go for them, since Fetichs are pretty awesome. But in the end I decided my 3rd Circles didn't really need the boost.

Anyway, the 3rd Circle who /would've/ been my Fetich is the one who takes the form of the aurora borealis lighting my inner world. He embodies my trickster-y themes and search for amusement, making him the 3rd Circle who most pushes for me to do FUN things. Also, probably a bit of vanity.

He's kind of annoying to be around for long periods of time, honest. Good in small doses though.

He doesn't appear a lot, since he mostly stays in my inner world like the rest of my 3rd Circles. Mostly he shows up for the occasional guest appearance or whenever I call all my 3rd Circles as backup.

Hm... I still need to give him a Domain after further elevating him the Marvel godhood with the Skyfather... not sure what'd fit...?

John, the Holy Voyager: Throughout my flames, a comet voyages. At least, it looks like a comet from a distance; up close it's fractal infinitude makes one realise it's the same version of /every/ conceivable comet, evolving and competing against itself. In it's wake it leaves plasmic trails that coaslesce into worlds, artifacts and other wonders. Atop it, a tall, laughing man with flowing locks of space for hair, finest marble for skin and supernovas for eyes hold his own reins; think Fabio by way of Kars.

John is my conviction and temperance, the drive that motivates me to keep jumping. He seems like the friendly, party kind of cosmic being-and plays up that impression so nobody figures out how machiavellian he can be. Off the clock he has an affinity for simpler hobbies like videogames, cooking and playing the guitar.

I see a lot of myself in him. It's like looking through my college photos.

Islinde, the Forsaken Nebula: Despite my best efforts, in every part of me that can be said to have a sky that sky is always a shimmering, splendid night. Colours beyond human perception shining as far as eye and scanner can see. The wisest astronomers will notice something else: That it is but shattered fragments. Because I didn't mean to have her, and tried to smash her when she first popped up.

Islinde's humanoid form's features shift constantly-but I've been told she personifies elegance and grace, like some "platonic ideal of DIsney princesses". For my sins, she embodies my compassion and valor. I keep her humanoid form chained up in a castle to minimise her influence upon my worldforms, but it's a convenient stand-in when I'm obliged to appear female for some reason.

...unfortunatley, my fetiches have an OBNOXIOUSLY healthy sibling affection. John keeps trying to sneak Islinde out to go carousing in the bits of me I pay less attention to. Or delivering her presents from his adventures.

Okay, but seriously though, are the Primordials just big and fancy Raksha or not? Because the more I read about them, both Raksha and Primordials, the less I can tell if there's any meaningful difference or if there's even a difference at all.

>>53904580
It's deliberately ambiguous. It's sometimes suggested as one possible origin story, but at least by the relevant eras Exalted takes place in they have a very glaring difference.

Raksha are inherently fickle and formless, while Primordials are inherently monomaniacal and naturally express and enforce certain consistent supernatural laws on everything around them-be it what we think of as "reality", or the formless chaos of the Wyld. If a Raksha spends too long in reality, it shatters. If a Primordial spends too long in reality, reality starts to resemble the Primordial. Raksha also universally have an affinity for narratives and dream logic, whereas Primordials tend to express themselves through more specific concepts like "kingship" or "darkness" or "strength".

And of course-finally, Raksha are much, much smaller on every level compared to Primordials.

The Unshaped come much closer to being Primordial-like than the Raksha, since they both tend to look like landscapes and have (far fewer) subsoul-like symbiotic beings as parts of themselves.
>>

Some items for Bastard, at least what we have done for the first 4 origins, the first set of origins. We'd really like some help for the missing 100 items from these four, because we're quite stuck here. Any suggestions are super duper welcome. Monster isn't getting a 400 item because of other things they get elsewhere in the jump.
>>
>>53904580
The main differences are that Primordials are vastly larger and more powerful... And more fundamentally, that they're constant and enforce their own reality.

Primordials have their themes, and they can't change those without mutilating themselves. Raksha, on the other hand, formlessly take and discard shapes, themes, and narratives as they like.

That said, it's deliberately left vague how much they have in common with Raksha/Unshaped, and there are contradictory stories on their origins, all of which are only meant as legends/tales.

I'm not very familiar with the setting, but I'll give it a shot;

>Dark Schneider

Some sort of powerful magical hair gel that gives your hair the same magnificent '80s glam rock look he has?

>Horseman

Fancy, pompous robes with huge pauldrons that somehow don't impede your movement and you always look sharp in?

>Kingdom

A piece of jewelry that symbolises you? Not as powerful as Satan's of course, but at least something that makes a strong impression that adds to your highness

>monster

Hidden lair to lurk around in?
>>
>>53904648
I actually have a running theory that the Primordials are really old Unshaped who grew so big and became so powerful because they merged with or ate a Shinma or something and partially became a defining part of reality. That or a Shinma coalesced inside them, causing them to become obviously more consistent and stable while also becoming the weird world bodies they always have, with all the weird meta-context that every one of them comes with.
>>
>>53904724
Those are pretty good. We might take advantage of all of that except the Horseman one, since that's already covered elsewhere. Thank you.
>>
>>53904652
The only one I know of is a SB exclusive jump.
>>
>>53904788
Primordials don't really define reality outside themselves though (at least not without actively messing with things), so I don't really think they're Shinma-like things.
>>
>>53904837
Shinma don't define reality outside themselves either. Shinma aren't universal beings, they're localized and they overlap but there are other regions of the Wyld with different Shinma. It's why I think it's possible that the Primordial's are just Unshaped that have a Shinma coalesced inside them.
>>
is kamen rider heisei still not complete yet?
>>
>>53904916
I meant more that the Shinma define things that aren't themselves.

Like, Nirguna makes it possible for things to exist, but these things are not Nirguna. And so on for each of them, they have a passive influence on things around them.

Primordials on the other hand only define themselves.

Sure, the Shinma have an "area" (or whatever passes for an area for these things, when you get outside Nirupadhika and thus don't have spatial relations anymore) within which they affect things, but that's the area of the influence they have on things, not anything physical like a Primordial's world-body.
>>
>>53905011
Except they define things other than themselves all the time. Like, what the heck is Oramus if he's not defining the world through defining himself? They may 'only define their own existences', but in doing so they contextualize everything around them because their existences extent beyond themselves into the things they associate themselves with.
>>
>>53905089
He's the Dragon Beyond? I don't really get what you mean here, Oramus doesn't seem to be defining anything else as far as I can see...?

What exactly are they supposed to contextualize?
>>
Jumpers, what's the most drastic change you've made to a world's canon storyline?
>>
>>53905266
I homeruled myself into Naruto earlier and completely boned the plot.
>>
Is there a jump that would let me harness memes for power?

Kinda like here but not badly animated?? https://youtu.be/BQ_23SGq3LQ
>>
>>53905132
Oramus literally retroactively created the Beyond. Like, you can pretend like it's always been there regardless of whether or not he defines it, and that he legitimately was around before there was anything, but he defines himself relative to the Beyond and has authority over it, it's a part of him as much as he is a part of it.

There's similar things for Ebby and others who define themselves relative to concepts, which are literally part of them to an extent, which they define in turn. They are solidly in line with certain themes, but they aren't just themes, they are interrelated to them physically. You can chose to just ignore this but you aren't offering any alternative interpretations of the information at hand.

The World Bodies and the Devas and their parallels with the Unshaped, the conceptual nature of their existences, the rigidity of their themes and their relationship their their forms, I take all that to mean that they were Unshaped which became both more structured and more metaphysically weighty.

>>
>>53901533
>>53901485
The Wind Waker timeline has Link and Zelda deal with new enemies, including Malladus and Bellum. It's possible BOTW is also in this timeline. Other evils follow the characters into the future even if Ganondorf as a person lets himself die.
>>
>>53905345
Except they don't define those concepts. They may have created them, but removing the Primordial responsible for it doesn't remove the concept.

Removing Theion/Malfeas would still leave kingship as a thing that exist, removing Ebby would still leave shadows, removing Oramus would still leave the beyond.

Mardukth's death didn't remove mountains and HUEG, Ta'akozoka's death didn't remove tentacles or commerce, Lykkennan's death didn't remove caverns, Jheel-Khan's death didn't remove blood or laughter (though I guess you could make a case for Adorjan taking up that mantle), Bright Shattered Ice's death (the primordial, not the Solar who then stole her name) didn't remove ice and frost.

But if you removed a Shinma? Their concept would cease to exist.
>>
>>53905396
It's questionable as to how much the curse does, the wording of the curse in english and japanese just implies conflict that will haunt the Hylian race as well as link and zelda in particular. Technically it doesn't mean Ganon's actions are dictated by the curse, it could just be that the curse manipulated things so as to empower Ganon's actions. But the curse itself is actually quite vague.
>>
>>53905430
I didn't say they were a Shinma though. I said that they either ate one, had one show up inside them, or they merged somehow, which lets them piggyback off the Shinma's nature while forcing them to endure a more structured existence. Even if you got rid of the primordial, you wouldn't get rid of the Shinma necessarily. Also, you deliberately ignore the fact that none of those guys are actually gone, they became Neverborn at worst, so your point is moot as no Primordial has ever truly died.
>>
>>53905442
BOTW makes the curse an actual mass of malevolent energy that Ganondorf had to expel to be able to pass on.
>>
Is the Dodgeball jump still in the drive?
>>
>>53905582
No it made ganon into a mass of malevolent energy, and that he became a curse himself, there isn't a mention of demise's curse. He also isn't anymore dead at the end of the game than he is at the end of any other.

So, I've got some questions for Cracker_Jack or anyone else who knows enough about Marvel to help me out.

Would it be possible to imbue an (intelligent) golem with a divine spark using the Skyfather thing from Marvel Magic? And would that give it anymore life-like characteristics or something?

Also, could I give the same domain to multiple people?

And somewhat relatedly to that... What settings have magic that would help me create giant golems? Besides D&D?
>>
>>53904168
I have yet to name mine. I was thinking on Oberon and Mab, but maybe I need to find more fitting names.

Basically Oberon is the King of Gods of my Inner World and of its adjacent dimensions. He is also in charge of all the demons that my companions have spawned. He embodies my leadership, charisma and happiness. His true form in the Inner World is that of a purple sea that covers around 80% of it.

He is usually pretty chill to be around, and although he can be a bit manipulative at times, he usually means well.

Mab would be his sister/partner/wife. Although while Oberon is a King, she is not exactly a queen. Oh, she has authority over everything, even a greater authority than Oberon, but she isn't interested in ruling. She represent the main drive of the Jumper: Power and pride. Pursuing, securing and improving power. Her brightness is not a result of her grace, but a side-effect of her power.

The Jumper finds pretty amusing when she has to be dragged by her brother/partner/husband to attend social meetings because she is 'too busy' training. She also constantly bullies my craftsman Third Circle soul to make her new weapons. Including goddamn battleships of the size of small countries.

As for my relationship with them... Well, Mab is basically a power-battery for me and a nuke to throw at my enemies at the same time, so we aren't very close and our-relationship is very business-like. For Oberon... Well, there are times that I send him to fulfill the role of 'Jumper' while I'm busy stealing some godly artifact or forging relationships with the local powers.

>>53906850
sorry, the civilization jump has something for that if memory serves.
>>
>>53906850
I'm pretty sure the answer is no, he cannot retype that.
>>
>>53906864
Well technically I didn't type it in the first place so you are correct.
>>
>>53906861
He was talking about people in-setting you moron.

Out-of-context powers don't count, Bancho, I already said that. No fanfics. If someone wants to laugh about killing dementors, let's see them do that with canon materials.
>>
>>53906814
Befriending blasts could probably do it.

Also lego harry potter killed one with happyness.
>>
>>53906890
then no I do not know how to kill or waifu A Dementor with just Cannon Harry Potter stuff.

>>53906890

>>53906929
I think The Lego games are an AU at the very least.

Has anyone tried avada kedavraing them? Or pushing them through deaths bedsheets?

Since patronus seem to harm them I wonder if it would be possible to overload them with good feelings to kill them.

>lego games au
Yeah probably.

Well technically the elder wand is COMPLETELY U N D E F E A T A B L E (tm), ergo it can super-kill dementors forever and dumbledore just never bothered because mumble mumble

For a non-HP fan, how are they even controlled? I just watched the movies and I don't remember it being mentioned. Are the smarter than animals?

Rough Anal Sex with the prisoners of Azkaban
>>
>>53907119
In all seriousness >>53907142. Except they call it the Dementor's Kiss, and instead of being fucked in the ass they just clamp their lips on them and suck out their soul.

But essentially, yes-the Ministry of Magic's solution to controlling the unkillable despair wraiths is to let them have their way with the prisoners.
