I imagine the other Mario characters are pretty much reacting like the humans in Dogscape-haunted and wearied by the living nightmare their world has become. Bowser and Peach having put aside their differences so their kingdoms can survive amidst the maddened doppleganger races, Wario and Waluigi scourging for scraps in some eldritch backwater. Legend tells of Luigi's descent into madness, during his search for the one man believed capable of saving this world.

"Wait, look on the horizon! That posture, that confidence...could it be...him?"
"..."
"No wait it's that one scrap metal wizard"

...man, it's weird how different the perception of a hero is in these 'verses. I'm okay with it though, rather not deal with any expectations here. Just roll up in town, people gloomily nodding as I smile, wave and do my normal 'bot minionSo bonus boss thing. Slowly curry some hope by building up a couple of safe zone levels without giant touhou heads or cat llamas or other abominations rampaging around in.

Pity my more architectually inclined companions can't seem to agree on which fortifactions are the best.

"We should build a giant robot"
"That's stupid, we just need a wall and a gravity gun! Made of flesh!"
"Hey guys, why don't we make a big flesh wall...out of giant robots?"
"Foolishness. We should build a wonder that inspires courage, not fear"
"Hela, you want to keep them safe with A LITERAL GHOST ARMY. That is the opposite of inspiring courage"
"...do these mortals not feel safe when surrounded by unstoppable, eternally vigilant souls?"
"Not these ones. Trust me, not these ones"

I stared blankly at the command center of the City. It was empty, but for the Governing Authority, some tumbleweeds and my companions.

All these Safeguards under my command, and my citizens still go through the same motions. It all just feels so...

Empty. Lifeless. Without purpose, even after the recompilation program.

This shall not be!

Erupting into the space between spaces, I meld the Reverse Phase Imagining Polymer with Symbiote-flesh and Gauna cores upon the gravity furnaces in endless worlds. Which I baptise in my own chalcanth.

Transmitting through the Net Sphere, I install photonic-Core hybrid crystals-and program them with both the Evolutionary Function and the Demon Summoning Program. Under my gaze, the structures needed to form a Webway also developed near the mainframes.

Dawning upon the edge of an awestruck Electrofisher village, I instruct the Builders in non-euclidean, Asgardian and Entity building techniques. My holy radiation converts some of them into behemoths, as my City's iterations need Elemental Poles.

My citizens are too fragmented to research space travel, so they won't have to. If men cannot fly to the stars, they shall walk. Faster than the speed of light, my City builds roads to reach them.

With Maker's Prodigy and Maker form from Darksiders, would be be possible to make non-sentient autonomous labor constructs?

I remember in the game there were outright sentient constructs that required a Maker's soul to be made while the non-sentient constructs didn't function without someone piloting them.

I just want magic labor force, but not if they are sentient because that feel oddly cruel to create life for such a mundane purpose.

The sudden, all-encompassing technological great leap forwards coupled with widespread curiosity is put down to some sort of reformation program. Isolated humanoid communities like the Electrofisher enclaves shrug, and pragmatically start competitive terraforming. Somewhere at the edges of the City, the Silicon Life packs cry happy tears of joy as they scramble to eke out a community to live in. For all my invitations, none of the Safeguards except Killy and Sanakan express anything resembling interest in civilisation.

Despite this, diplomacy proves difficult. It's not a matter of casualties; like a golden retriever, the City is careful only to fetch uninhabited planets for raw materials and unused suns for energy pylons. The problem is that even with countless teleporter technologies, the sheer distance (worsened by the eldritch space warping I'd introduced, to my dismay) makes communication...somewhat haphazard.

"Unknown entity, identify yourselves!"
"...you got any ration bricks?"
"What?"
"Oh good, this 'phone' thing's on. Uh, hi, Oda-san asked me to go collect some rations just in case. Who are you people and what are you doing over the horizon?"
"Take us to your leaders!"
"Actualy, the big light in the sky said this place is built for us. And I'm the only human for lightyears. Which makes me the owner of this layer, I guess? Never really thought of it that way, huh"
"Y-you own a tangible part of this THING that dwarfs stars, and YOU take orders from someone else?!"
"I guess?"
"We surrender! We surrender unconditionally!"
"Okay, but seriously. Do you have any rations?"
"Yes! Yes, here-take our harvests! Please tell your overlords we can ready our most beautiful slaves and exquisite drugs by the next planetary rotation!"
"SHIT SHIT SHIT DON'T DROP ALL THAT ON ME"

Half an hour later, a very confused Electrofisher scout returned to her village with an army of Safeguards towing enough food to feed a planet.

At some point we overran a couple of bickering ancient empires. I was busy adminstrating several City-offshoots in alternate universes, when SHODAN reported familiar but unauthorised technology discharges. To my great joy, the benevolent observer faction's surrender resulted in the first successful diplomatic mission I actively participated in. Sadly the isolationists accidentally teleported themselves into another layer while trying to hack a SCT and were presumed missing, eaten by the less civilised locals.

War sort of broke out thrice, both times caught by SHODAN's vigilance. Some sort of insectoid race was attempting to terrorise a Silicon tribe, but got lost in a tangle of spatial infinities and started to starve while meandering between universes. After some translation, Ambassador Sanakan returned with a plea for sanctuary which I accepted after discovering the tribe had interbred with one of their queens. Reports of their pursuers matched reports of an invasive civilisation that Ambassador Killy disposed of fifty lightyears from the incident. The Swarm's hivemind reacted with a shocked "HAK THE FUCK OFF?!".

More seriously, an entire layer was lost when invasive energy beings attempted to feed on it's biomass-and detonated the Gravity Furance by accident. The conversion of matter into quantum foam also wiped them out-along with every living thing on the layer, and caused massive damage from nearby earthquakes. This heralded the first cooperation between Silicon Life, human-variants, Observers and Swarms to create a dimensional focal lens to their home plane. They reverse engineered their hitherto-unidentified energy weapons by bottling the bastards with necrodermis.

There was but one flaw. The City's rapid evolution paradoxically meant little changed among it's populace. I feared that after all this time, I had failed to create a purpose for my citizens.

Then not a century after subjugating a rival AI rebellion, I found the Worm.

So lonely. So without purpose. So awestruck by what I had wrought.

It shyly passing me love notes about recursion and singularities. I reciporcated with a raunchy limmerick about sunspots and a living sonnet written in soulfire. All the while having The Talk with my citizens, meaningfully pointing out they couldn't keep living under my radiance forever. It was barely necessary; the natives were happy to meet a new friend and joined me in writing back love notes, while the immigrants were inspired by their total lack of fear.

The Worm struggled with ego death, and madness. At first, it was frustrated and thought I/my City was playing coy, leading it on. Then I took a dream of a man shooting himself beyond the event horizon it lived in, and it wailed at the idea of it's love in agony. Equipped with my knowledge, the inhabitents of my City had already begun work on a solution.

The Wireless Avatar Interface For Unity borrowed equally from fatima engineering, data integration and Incubator energistics. Planets were converted into genesis-factory lines while asteroid belts became entropic recursion fields. With my own Ascent to Transcendence, we perfected the "Omega Theory" into a positive feedback loop.

Or in layman's terms, we punched a hole in space-time with the power of love so the Worm could live among us as our neighbour, without subsuming us. Also everybody got an eldritch magical girl guardian.

If you want a picture of my City's future, imagine a black hole and a sun, revolving around each other forever. Two worlds, one half empty and one half full. Each missing something, but together more than the sum of their parts.

Like a bride and groom, waltzing through eternity.

I have a question for the thread.

I'm making some preliminary plans for the Guyver jump and I'd like to know something.
You know how we love customisation and options, well Guyver doesn't really have much of that for the Guyver itself. It adjusts slightly for different body types and genders and that's pretty much it, unless you factor in Guyver Gigantic.
So, a friend introduced me years ago to a site called Warrior Guyver, at warriorguyver.com. It has a series of stories set in the Guyver universe, most of which are terribe, but they were a guilty pleasure of mine from back then. The site explores in the fanverse a lot of different permutations and variations on Guyvers, and I was wondering if I should use it for the Guyver customisation section of the jump I'm making, maybe include a drawback that makes the events of warriorguyver's fanfiction canon.
What do you guys think?

If yuo take Gamer out of the equation, what material differences would there be that you could offer?
Super Grimm powers like the horsemen? Or Gilgamesh?
Sephiroth-based perks?
Oh, elementals?
There may be enough potential there for a jump with some creativity.
If you are willing to take it on, then good luck and thank you.
>>
>>53888544
I don't know man. Can you come up with enough content to make it a different Jump from both RWBY and Gamer?
>>
Questions about Sims, but I guess this could apply to any 'family-friendly' universe:

In Sims there are a bunch of thinly veiled expies for real life drugs and alcohol. Nectar is clearly wine and a bunch of the 'herbs' are clearly referencing things such a weed, speedball, etc.

My question is do we only count there in game effects or do we count what they are based off of. Cause a lot of the herbs have useful passive effects, but no way in hell would I take them if they had the actual consequences of what they are based off of.
>>
>>53888596
Well, I can counter being similar to the gamer by not offering gamer.

>>53888591
Yes I would offer things based on the riders.
>>
>>53888642
Well, the RWBY is sparse enough, so with some creativity you should manage to make a jump that is sufficiently different.
>>
>>53888544
Yeah, it's pure powerlevel shit instead of weebshit.
>>
>>53888608
If they don't have negative effects in the game, I don't see why you should invent them. The Sims' operate under different rules.
>>
>>53888679
Sweet, the worst effect herbs have in game when they backfire is nausea which has lower chances the better quality the herb.

Nectars just taste awesome apparently without any of the downsides of alcohol. Might offer it as a alcohol alternative when I made that bar I'm planing.

Customization isn't really Guyver's thing. They're prototypes remember? Zoanoids come in all sorts of shapes & different abilities, sure they're canon fodder for most part. Hyper Zoanoids & the Zoalords would probably be a good origin. Zoalord would be obvious captstone. Or maybe a mutation that costs all your mutation points.

>>
>>53888960
Yeah, I was thinking along those lines for Zoalords.
You're probably right about the guyver not really being something up for customisation, at the same time though I wonder if it will be well recieved if there isn't at least some choices made available, outside of imports.

I wonder if warriorguyver should be left to one side as a possible future project or just disregarded altogether? There are some really neat idea in that setting, so it would be a shame to lose out on them, but still...

>They're prototypes remember?
Are they? I thought they were the equivalent of an alien space suit with an unexpected reaction when worn by a human. I can't imagine the Creators using prototype space suits, then seems like a technology that an advanced alien race should have long since refined into a mature technology.

Okay, been following your advice and looking through the data files, and I'm not sure there's really all that much to go with. A lot of these are just "it's the Guyver, but stronger". Only a few have new features rather than just scaling up the stats. So let's see: The Warrior Guyver's ability to bring its host with it when it stores away in the sub-dimension to teleport them is a cool idea for a high-end upgrade and seems plausible for the Guyver. The Grakken bio-armors' ability to generate plasma for added thermal/kinetic energy in a given action is reasonable given what the Gigantic Unit can do. Angel Guyver's electromagnetic radiation manipulation is also plausible given the head laser, if a Guyver can shoot infrared energy why not microwaves or radio signals? Aside from that, I'm not seeing too much that is both an actual change instead of just a stat increase and also not some dumb OC donutsteel thing like the "Reaper Guyver" and its life-draining scythe. So yeah, I'm not sure this idea really works. Sorry, Brother_Anon, it would be neat to offer customization for the Guyver unit but I don't think it's practical.

>>53888960
Guyver's aren't prototypes, they're actually mass-produced. They were standard equipment for the Creators, they made their own personal tech stronger than their minions'. That's why they're not customized in canon, Guyvers are the equivalent of grunt equipment for the Creators. Presumably the higher-ups in the Creator hierarchy would have customized bio-armors, but those wouldn't have been left behind on Earth.

The Games We Play, a Gamer/RWBY cross staring Jaune the magical tiger man.
>>
Why the fuck is this thread titled wrong? Who allowed this?
>>
>>53889491
The Games We Play. It's a RWBY/The Gamer crossover fanfic that is really neither of those things. It's actually the author's weird kabbalah/ Hindu mysticism mashup that spends the first fifty chapters or so (it's a long fic, whether it needs to be that long or is just full of filler is debatable) tricking you into thinking it's about Jaune Arc getting The Gamer power. But as it goes on its becomes increasingly clear that the setting he's working with has little to do with RWBY, and the more it tries to tie all these weird concepts to the world of Remnant the more obvious it becomes. Mostly because the power level is ridiculously escalated, and also expanded into a lot of weird directions that people in RWBY just don't use. There aren't any summoners, or alchemists, or elemental mages in RWBY (well, okay, elemental users in RWBY, but they do it all through Dust and not Aura manipulation). And the story can go on about how these are lost techniques all it wants, they still don't fit into the original setting. And why are they lost if they're all so useful, especially when the Grimm are far more powerful in this world and humanity needs that edge?
>>
>>53888544
Not familiar with TGWP, but the RWBY jump has a lot of OC. The things that really define it as a jump about RWBY are aura, the availability of variable weapons, and the availability of dust, not any specific abilities the characters have. You could probably get away with doing another jump about RWBY.

More worried about The Gamer. Like you've mentioned, not offering those powers seems like the easiest way of doing it. Not the first time a jump has made certain abilities unavailable.
>>
>>53889441
Nothing to worry about, just a small nothing country full of sorry worthless peoples who cant even pick themselves up and build a real house. Belka shall never rise.
>>
>>53889343
Thanks for looking into it for me, Anon and giving me your findings. I appreciate it and I think I'll follow your advice.

I should warn you that it's probably going to be a while before Guyver is finished/jumpable. I've still got two jumps on my plate to deal with before I can give it my full attention
>>
>this bullshit to justify a crossover fanfiction as a jump
The answer is, and will always be, absolutely not. There isn't nearly enough difference in the setting, there are two separate jumps of the individual properties on their own, the only reason a jump would be made is as an excuse to offer more power from both settings that aren't offered in the jumps right now.
>>
>>53889638
We also have a gamer jump, so there's no reason to offer the power other than to spite blade.
>>
hey I'm doing Kamen Rider Heisei Part 1: Kuuga and Agito V 1.5 and would it be a moral evil to take and use the seed of darkness? A lot of the stuff that can threaten me at this point is stuff that keeps adapting so Is the perk evil in and of itself or is its potential usages evil?
>>
>>53889343
Guyver in their language means Abnormal", "Non-Standard", &/or "Out of Control". They were created by the Creators not for themselves but for humans for their wars. They were experimental, Guyver 0 was the first Guyver & it rebelled when bonded with a human.
>>
>>53889092
We do have jumps based on fanfics so its always something you can come back and do later if you want. Just leave it open to either import something as your guyver suit, or add the guyvers qualities to existing armor, and I think it would be awesome.
>>
>>53889637
>And why are they lost if they're all so useful, especially when the Grimm are far more powerful in this world and humanity needs that edge?
My understanding is that the reasons are twofold.
Firstly, the Grimm do have intelligent direction and would prioritise killing off people with those skills to prevent them from being passed on. And secondly, these skills are hard for people to learn and use. Jaune thanks to Gamer/keter can cheat and use them easily, other people don't have that advantage.

>>53889710
My understanding is that the Gamer power is not on the table in any case.

>>53889708
We have precedent, anon. It's a bit too late to complain against an entire type of jump when we've already long since crossed that rubicon.
Also why didn't you link to a post? Seems odd to me for you not to.

>>53889745
More or less. Two things cropped up with Guyver 0 the Creators didn't expect and scared the pants off them.
Firstly, the units synergise absurdly well with humans turning a spacesuit into a wmd and secondly and more scarily for them it also made the wearer immune to their telepathic control.
You could argue the combination is experimental, but not the suit/unit itself.

>it rebelled when bonded with a human.
Guyver's don't have their own intelligence outside the friend-or-foe mode when badly damaged. It was the human who rebelled using the unit.
>>
>>53889790
>We have precedent

Precedent is never a good argument because nine times out of ten, the idiot who set that precedent got shat on and then ignored it.
>>
>>53889745
No, they were created for the Creators. The term "Guyver" is used to refer to the armors a lot (in both the series and the fandom), but it's not technically accurate, and I apologize for the confusion. On their own, the suits are just called bio-armors. The term "Guyver", with all its connotations of abnormality and uncontrollability, refers specifically to the human/bio-armor merger. Guyvers are the result of the Creators going "Hey, these humans make for really good genetically-engineered super soldiers. I wonder what would happen if we tried merging one with a bio-armor instead of subjecting them to the zoanoid process?". And then Guyver 0 was created, started killing everyone because he had way better response to the bio-armor than they expected, and it took Archanfel to subdue him long enough for the extractor unit to be used.

>>
>>53889779

>>53889811
Well, then we have had cases of 1 out of ten, as I don't remember those jumps being 'shat on' when they were introduced to the thread.
>>
>>53889814
Do we know what Creators look like?
>>
>>53889790
>Firstly, the Grimm do have intelligent direction and would prioritise killing off people with those skills to prevent them from being passed on. And secondly, these skills are hard for people to learn and use. Jaune thanks to Gamer/keter can cheat and use them easily, other people don't have that advantage.
I know that those are the excuses given by the story. But they don't scan to me, people retain knowledge of these skills. There are actual skillbooks for many of them and not just something dropped as loot, it's only the really crazy stuff that Keter needs to get from Sephirotic Synthesis or prestige skills. They just don't use them for some reason. Keter encounters a single character who uses any of the skills he's learned. Just one.
>>
>>53889844
Nope. It's implied that they were actually a coalition of many species, though, not a single one, and that's why their bio-armor can be used by humans. They're meant to interface with many types of biology, ours was just a little better than the Creators expected.
>>

>>
>>53890112
>Though a last resort that you should use first. Like, the moment you learn that a threat can just keep growing in power, you want to hit them with that. Last resort in terms of morality, since you don't want to use it on everyone, but first resort in terms of response time.

>>53890202

>>
>>53890179
>I don't think it works retroactively. I mean, it might, the wording is vague, but I'm fairly certain it only curses those who are descended from them after they themselves are cursed.

That makes more sense, but you still have to beware of the cases of the Demon Lord's Future son rebelling against him and becoming the hero
>>
>>53890166
Eh, fair enough: The world of RWBY, as presented by the narrative, does not support the idea that there is non-Maiden elemental magic. It is possible that there is and such has simply not been shown, but it does not comply with the narrative themes of the story at the time being and certainly did not with the themes of the story at the point at which The Games We Play introduced the idea.

Is that better?
>>
>>53890231
Yeah, but you're crippling the Demon Lord. He should be weak enough that it won't take someone that's inherited his power to bring him down.

Bancho can't differentiate trolling from honesty most of the time, so confirmation bias lead him to believe that everyone except the Ebon Dragon was fucking with him, and he was right all along. >>
>>53890358
Yes, because he's incredibly vague about what he means when he says he wants to save everyone, which combined with his ruthless measures leads to people mistrusting him. So he's wrong, because of course people are going to oppose you when you do this seemingly evil stuff and never properly explain yourself.

>>

Under sane conditions not really. At least as long as it doesn't require some screwed up stuff.

However in context technically maybe since if humanity becomes stagnant the timeline ends even if it's do to a utopia. Which would result in the entire thing failing horribly if the immortality results in nobody doing anything. So at minimum its technically wrong in the 'no that doesn't work' sense. At least unless they can deal with that issue.

They are however right about the whole 'the world is a big, messy ball of wrong' part.

Hypothetically if you are the Ebon Dragon you gaining access to dimensional travel to a world where your fictional for the sole purpose of trolling Bancho seems less likely than Exalted Third Edition getting finished within a reasonable time frame.

Which is already really unlikely. Like if you were the Ebon Dragon I'd have an easier time believing that you developed dimensional travel to screw with White Wolf.

>I didn't on that last time and a lot of the work I put in towards Fixing my reputation and being a better person got wasted.
To be perfectly honest, bancho. At least from my point of view, it improved things. I had no idea personally you laboured under the challenges you do and misattributed comments you made in the past to mean spiritedness or found just plain confusing.
The whole episode with the Ebon Dragon, when it became clear despite how obvious it seemed that you weren't just playing along but were honestly taken in by the RP, that was a wake-up call.
No one likes to flaunt their limitations and it could be unfair to demand full disclosure, but now that I know, I can treat you a lot more fairly than I would have otherwise.
I can't speak for others, but maybe some other people who frequent this thread made the same realisation. I hope this helps.

Something's wrong. This world is absolutely rotten to the core and I can already feel the pressure of a great power bearing down on me. My existence is sustained by Living Miracle, but I can still feel a sinking feeling in my stomach that no one believes in me. But that's not what's causing me distress. What is bothering me is that this is the fourth time in a row the world has gone to full 'going to kill you dead' mode.

Someone is stacking the deck. I'm either being tested or a certain someone is back for round two. Either way, it looks like I'm mostly on my own for this one, aside from that voice in my head that compliments bloody EVERYTHING I DO.

It's an uphill battle against a deific force, but I'm no stranger to those by now. I have Hearts to steal and battles to fight. It's…straightforward, compared to how I usually operate. If it takes the Destroyer of Worlds to break this corrupt world to bring forth daylight, then I know just how to do it.

Also, it's pretty easy to hide my identity. That transformation from Sailor Moon and Twin-Faced Hero let me do a good job of separating my civilian persona from my 'heroic' one. I'm not a very good Thief, honestly, but what I can be is a fang for the fangless. And I will fight my way into this demiurge's lair and be the one to deliver the final blow.

Even if there is no God or Buddha in this world, there is Kamen Rider. And they're also a magical girl. So you're basically fucked.

It makes perfect sense if you're a backstabbing contrarian dick.

no, the most powerful computing hardware takes priority. Any damage done in an act of retaliation is the fault of the aggressor, so no, that's the Incarne's and Exalt's fault. The Primordials did not start the war. Whether they were 'harming' Creation or not doesn't really matter, because it is not significantly better off after a regime change for anyone who isn't a part of that regime, and the Primordials made Creation in the first place. Everything wrong with Creation is the Incarne's and Exalted's fault.
>>
>>53892513
>They are related though and would be a good starting point for someone to make an artifical primodrial or study how to make one spontaneously out from the Pure Chaos.
How does one acquire Pure Chaos that can be carried between jumps?
>>
>>53892607
Sounds like victim-blaming to me. They started the war, all the concequences of it are on the head of the Incarne and the Exalts. The Primordials may have had their faults, but given how capable exalts are at social combat, they could have choosen another way, using social combat against the primodrials to get them to be more considerate and to value lesser life, instead they went straight to war.
Although I blame the Incarne more than the Exalts at least at the start of the war given how the Incarne would be their primary sources of information about the primordials as well as the planners for the inital stages at least.

>>53892743
Agreed. Also, how much harm do we 'know' they did to creation before the war? It's always sounded like war-time propganda or post-war rationalising to me that they were somehow so terrible that they 'had to be stopped'.

Only if the damage is proportionate, anon. If I invade your nation and in response you nuke mine to radioactive embers, you're the asshole. And Creation was objectively better off after the regime change, quality of life was better than it is in modern first-world countries of our universe. It's not better off now, but that's because there have been two other regime changes since, and both of those were handled horribly. And the reason they were handled horribly was because of the Great Curse messing with peoples' brains, and whose fault is that again? Oh right, the Primordials.

We have no idea what the quality of life was before the Primodrial war, it could have been as good or better.
The rest, well there is plenty of blame to spread around, the Primdorials/Yozi/Neverborn are no more or less responsible than several other factions including the Incarne and Exalts.

>The Great Curse
It is a little unfair to blame someone for the long-term concequences of their dying curse. They didn't ask to die and any being that is mudered is going to have no good will towards their murderers, most just don't have the ability to curse their murderers is all.

>>
>>53892832
That's bullshit though. The regime change wasn't good for anyone who wasn't an Exalt or a God, just because their quality of life was high doesn't actually mean things got so much better for the layman humans or any of the other races in creation; in fact, for everyone that wasn't human, it got worse, as the shitty humans that were at the bottom of the totem pole before now used their new found position of power to oppress all the other races even worse.

No, the consequences of someone destroying 90% of the world are on the person who DESTROYED 90% OF THE WORLD.

>Sounds like victim-blaming to me. They started the war, all the concequences of it are on the head of the Incarne and the Exalts.
No, they really couldn't have. Primordials have fixed Intimacies. You can't convince a Primordial of the value of human life if they have an Intimacy of "Humans (Fun Toys To Play With)". You'd have to kill the Third Circle Demon responsible for reinforcing that Intimacy, so yeah, violence was the only option. And that's not even taking into account Primordial Charms that keep them from responding to social interaction they don't like. Kimberry has a charm that makes her incapable of forgiveness, for example.

>>53892897
The Neverborn are the ghosts of Primordials, anon. Primordials who, as they were dying, shouted "FUCK YOU" at the Exalted so hard it changed their nature to be self-defeating. The Neverborn came later, after the Exalted woke up those ghosts.

The Ebon Dragon, because when he was the Dragon's Shadow he invented it and taught it to the other Primordials. In typical Ebon Dragon fashion, it fucked over the Primordials just as bad. Chances are the attachment to reality granted by them dwelling on their hatred through the curse is part of why they're still stuck there as Neverborn.
>>
>>53892992
Right. She lost, then she cravenly attempted to betray her king in order to stay free, then was told that she would face the same punishment as the rest of her side and in response killed 90% OF REALITY. Because she's a horrid little thing that can't cope with losing, and would rather see the world burn than accept it. She's not evil, but that's because she doesn't have the moral capacity to be good, either.
>>
>>53892939
That's not even true, quality of life for regular humans was better under the Solar Deliberative until they went insane.
>>
>>53892201

Technically depending on your pov this might be wrong.

The Ebon Dragon's ultimate goal is to become a Shinma. Shinma define fundamental aspects of reality by lacking those aspects. For example the shinma of existence does not exist and the shinma of identity has no identity.

Meanwhile the Ebon Dragon is metaphysically a traitorous backstabbing jerk best described as the principle of pointless spite. Now their plan for becoming a shinma is probably to make reality a worse place. but shinma define things by lacking them. Which means that the most likely result of this plan succeeding is reality objectively becoming a better place for everyone in spite of their goal to ruin everything.

Does that count?

Oh also when the Maidens look into the future
Samsara makes it literally impossible for them to not do what they saw. Regardless of if they want to or not. Which means they might have an excuse.
>>
>>53893003
Work with the souls that are there now, instead of millenia-dead ones.

Selectively cull the destructive/maddening ones, give therapy to/lightly modify those that can be healed, and leave those that are fine/helpful (like Amalion).

And possibly make custom charms for the Yozi directly.
>>

Who knows. Restoring Malfeas lost fetisch soul would probably help him a lot towards becoming more like Theion, but it would only be one of many things he'd need. Regarding the others, maybe.
In terms of how you'd do it, any out of context resurrection ability has as mcuh chance of success as any. Ressurrection isn't a thing in setting, so it depends.

>>53892939
That does seem to happen to the Dragon-kings and the Jadeborn, both of which had things better before the War.
The Dragon Kings even suffered a lot from the war and despite being on the Exalts side weren't helped at all in recovering. At least, as i remember.

>>53892949
All I hear despite you starting with that they couldn't have, is that it would have been difficult. More difficult than fighitng an open war with them? Also regarding those charms, Solars have charms too and it's not as though a clever person can't work around them.

>>53892949
>shouted "FUCK YOU" at the Exalted so hard it changed their nature to be self-defeating.
No. Where even are you getting this?
They didn't change their nature, they gave them a curse disguised as a blessing for venting stress, than had an accumulated effect on the Exalts distorting them over time into twisted people, and even then not all of them.

>>53892992
Put that way, it's almost as if they wanted her to do it. Shouldn't she have been restrained or under guard at the time? Considering that the Exalts had difficulty in managing the resulting Creation I have to wonder if they wanted it downsized but didn't want to be blamed for it, so put her in that position knowing what would happen. Something to ponder.
>>
>>53893059
I don't see how it's an act of betrayal of Theion, who was already dead at that point. She wanted to continue her job of preserving and essentially working as a sysadmin for Creation. Not to help the Incarnae attack or hurt her siblings. Hell, part of the reason she and Cecelyne surrendered was because they hoped it'd convince the Incarnae to negotiate instead of killing everyone.
>>
Hey /JC/ can you cretae companions in Darksiders ?
>>
>>53893059
Right. And that's not the fault of the people who instigated the war in the first place how? You don't get to absolve yourself of the consequences of your actions. If you pick a fight with a brown bear, deliberately antagonizing it because you think you can, how the fuck is it not your fault for getting mauled regardless of whether or not it you survive or somehow beat it? It doesn't become the bear's fault for attacking you retroactively because you won the fight, you were the one that started it, it's your fucking fault. You sound like one of those Xianxia villains that responds to someone defending themselves with 'how dare you!?' it comes off as egotistical.

No, the Dragon Kings flourished after the war and even developed a big Solar fetish. The Sidereals and Dragonblooded specifically had to engineer things to fuck them over so they couldn't help the Solars. And after the usurpation, the Dragon Kings became collectively depressed and refused to have any contact with the Dragonblooded and swore to kill any that stepped into their territory.

Agreed.
We have no idea if the Primordials truly did anything worth getting bent out of shape over before the war, but we do know that the gods didn't like being ordered around by then, or you know, having to do their jobs.
The gods empowering humans makes sense, but then directing them to war with the Primordials, when it clearly wasn't in the Exalts interests to do so, most of them dying and subsequently being replaced, makes it obvious that the war wasn't about the Primodrials being dicks but the Gods wanting to be in charge. Thankfully that backfired when their empowered humans turned out to be too powerful and replaced the Primodrials as their bosses.
The exalts could have resolved matters between humanity and the Primodrials without war, but didn't.
Imagine a Creation, as it was when it was first made, with the Primodrials as they were working hand in hands with Exalts. They would have made the First Age look like childsplay.

Assuming it produced Raksha, would you learn anything useful from analyzing them, and how would you got about effectively doing that?
And finally, how would you manipulate or influence it to force the generation of Primordials, and would you even need to?
>>
>>53893288
You don't. We need more Exalted. That's not going to change.
>>
>>53893228

That would make sense, but as far as I can tell there is no shinma of 'heroism can make things better'. Which probably explains why that doesn't seem to work at all in Exalted.

From what I remember it's more that the Ebon Dragon is going "You can't tell me what to do.
I'm going to ascend so nobody can tell me what to do". It just so happens that Exalted cosmology is set up so that being a complete jackass is somehow a valid method for attempting this.

Sure they probably want to make things worse, but the Ebon Dragon betrays everything even theirself . So their plan having the exact opposite results of their likely desire seems highly likely.

The Exalt had options, non-violent, or at least non-war options but didn't explore them. Was it their early ineptitude in using their Exalted powers and charms, or was it because the Gods convinced them a war was the only solution?

>>53893755

>Eh. I don't find that too likely since it was the Incarnae that first decided to rebel with Autochthon coming in later.

Atuochthon was however the only reason the Incarnae were able to rebel. Without their assistance their rebellion would have went like this.

Incarnae - "We're rebelling."
Primordials - "You're programing says you can't attack us. Now get back to work."

>Also, Auto-kun likes human, why would he push for a scheme that gets lots of them killed?

Auto-kun is kind of vindictive and his siblings kept borrowing and sometimes breaking his stuff. Meanwhile humans were the only race where the Primordials didn't add in 'You literally can not attack us'. Which made them the only things that could hurt the Primordials if they were given enough power. Like for example a weapon designed to be able to hurt a Primordial.

>>
>>53894709
I'm sorry, but I can't agree entirely with you.
Autochthon made the blank exaltations, full of potential for anything, then passed them onto the Incarnae to define them.
Either the natures of the Incarnae or their conscious choices lead to what powers the Exaltations gained.
After that charms where developed based on need by exalts.
The only responsibility Autochthon can take is giving immense potential, it was the Incarne and those guided and directed by them who shaped them to be weapons and used them as such rather than realising their potential in other ways.
Autochthon isn't blameless as he should have predicted how they could have been used, but he can't help but be short-sighted in this manner, it is his tragic limitation as a Primordial. It is nature to create not be responsible for how his creations are then used.

>Are you just adding context?

I was mostly trying to point out that the violent solution might be the fault of the entity that made a violent solution possible in the first place.

Like compared to the Incarnae Auto's excuse was almost sensible, but they were basically the only reason the war could occur at all.

Although for the most part I do think the war was a horrible idea, but it also seems kind of unavoidable when you hand a bunch of people super weapons designed to hurt the target. Especially ones that store the memories of previous users to a degree.
>>
>>53894784
Oh yeah I know about that guy. But he's not actually attacking with chromodynamics like he would with light or heat, if he uses it, but rather breaks up those Quark bonds for energy and then releasing that as Radiation/Heat/Light/whatever. That's what I understand about physics anyway. And while Pandora is neat, it's not what I'm looking for.

One of the Materia from FF VII lets you hit targets with your melee from 20ft away. I bet you could also do that using the Star Warrior Capstone Perk from the Kirby Jump.
>>
>>53895154
That might work, if I go to where the Shard is and copy it directly, but Shards are pretty inefficient desu. But I was asking more for things like it than the power itself. Like sufficient precise psionics and such.

I didnt buy it but I bought the 600 cp power orb and got some good cheap general useful but rare powers (teleport, immortality, and the book one and omnilingual) then tossed it into my travellers gate plane.

It became a tree. My travellers have to find the great library which contains knowledge from 450 worlds and earn entry then journey to the libraries center where the tree waits one a lone island supported by chains with links the size of small buildings. Once found they must challenge its guardian armored sphinx and pass her test to earn one of the fruits and gain its powers.

I kind of noticed a mistake I made and that i forgot something, and figured I'd have time to fix it.

>>53894812

I'm fairly certain that it was the intended use.
The existence of Alchemicals implies that while the Incarnae affected things the basic design plans were already being developed.

These designs included access to spirit killing charms capable of causing significant damage to Primordials. Something that previously only Primordials had. This is the sole function shared by every exaltation. Which means its clearly not an Incarnae thing.

Meanwhile Gaia's exalted the terrestrials were designed to function best as mass produced soldiers.

The fact that their power is hereditary while the stronger Exalted aren't also implies that if Autochthon's goal was just improving humanity
they could have done so with a lot less effort.

Plus didn't Autochthon also supply the exalted with weapons for the Primordial War?
>>

For practical purposes, thermal radiation is heat.
>>
>>53895520
And there's a drawback!
>>
>>53895555
>Something that previously only Primordials had.
They didn't, actually. It's even worse.

Primordials (and Yozis) specifically can't kill each other past Fetich-death. Only the Exalted can.

Everything else is correct though.
>>
>>53895558
Thermal radiation is a determining factor of heat but it's not the only one.
>>
>>53895139

>You know considering the fact that Cosmic Xbox does horribly things to non-Primordials not letting the Incarnae access it was probably one of the most responsible things they did.
You know how currently the Incarnae play the majority of the Games, but occasionally they let some favored high ranking god have a turn, and then there is the entire galley of people who don't get to play, but just watch and are still addicted.

I think that happened in the beginning. The Incarnae were called before the Primordials to receive some instruction or other, and since they were playing games at the Pleasure Dome, that is where the meeting occurred. And the Incarnae got a glimpse. Got them interested. And they probably were allowed to have turns once in a Blue Moon, for a lark to see what they would do, or as a reward for some feat.

The Primordials did not know how addicted the Incarnae were or would become, because they were not allowed to freely indulge.

Star wars had been challenging but now having convinced my companions particularly Van Hellsing that I hadn’t gone off the deep end and wasn’t going to start mind raping my problems away it was time to deal with a new world…

Well this world was strange it was weird seeing my building that fallow me from world to world popping up in basically pure unblemished nature…. Surrounded by monsters.

Surprisingly some of the monsters didn’t seem to attack me those I left alone until other people started arriving and they would attack them.

I did my best to build up a little town with what materials I had available. I admit rick did most of the designing and helped a lot with the building and construction and bitched at every point about it.

As we built up our town refugees would arrive, nurses, guides, Santa Claus, etc.

We built large walls and smart turrets around the town and started to send teams out to collect materials to help build more.

This worked until it didn’t… and “Boss” monsters would just pop up spawning on me, wrecking everything around me.

Thankfully I would get a feeling and get in my power armor and try and get as far away from civilization as possible. I had some epic fights with some of the hard mode bosses… damn they just wouldn’t go down. I can say it was a busy and hard decade.
>>
>>53895746

>>
>>53895452
>I've only ever seen Generic toon world talked about here
Why are you bringing fact and reality into this?
>>
>>53895632

I kind of consider being able to cause stuff like Fetich-death significant damage. Sure it's technically not lethal depending on your point of view, but neither is a lot of painful stuff.

I also think I remember stuff about Autochthon not expecting to have succeeded as much as they did with the Exalted Primordial killing capabilities.

Although considering the Neverborn you could in theory argue that the whole killing thing technically failed since destroyed souls/spirits usually don't leave ghosts.
>>
>>53895865
Not quite. You'd still get heat from conduction, direct contact, and particles in the atmosphere experiencing conduction then transferring it to another object. Control of radiation in a vacuum where the two things aren't touching is control of heat but in atmospheric soup there are some other fairly large factors.
>>
>>53895747
That actually seems pretty terrifying.
Make them something like demonic undead Old God avatars or something like that, and it's even more so.
>>
>>53895963

Considering what I know about Theion that seems entirely plausible.

>Blue Moon

Also I'm imagining the Unconquered Sun painting Luna blue to get more turns, and the Primordials going "That's not how it works".

You are using an overly broad definition of Radiation. Radiation damage and sickness is understood by a reasonable person to stuff related to the effects of Radioactive Isotopes, and not say, sunburns.

The damage caused by radioactive elements is what elemental radiation would normally be understood to cover.

If you assume if are going to go that broad you might as well go energy absorption: Strong Nuclear Force, or energy absorption: Weak Nuclear Force?
>>
>>53895966
Oh, I wasn't even thinking about an atmosphere. Fuck.
