I guess it's more of a question then of how to undivided princes happen when you evidently have to have a god you're devoted to in order to ascend? I mean, yeah, it seems like it has only really been established as that way recently, but is it just that the gods/daemons think you're a cool enough dude in general that they let you join into the warp as a sentient entity like them, or is it all the gods coming together and deciding "Okay, let's make this guy a daemon."

Couldn't find everything and some of them I had to put in groups or couldn't be bought alone so it's rough. The dominions/retributors and bits also confused me, but I think it's almost 2000 dollars.

Itronstriders got buffed but I find dragoons to still be pretty nice since they're fairly tough in melee and can move 10" or you can take them with jezzails and have 2 shot snipers that can move and shoot, though at -1 to hit when they do so.

They're both viable so it just depends if you want a weapons platform or a melee screen/mobile sniper platform.

They buffed taser lances from only being S+3 on the charge to always being S+3 so they really aren't any more effective when they charge than when they are charged other than going first. They lost Dunestrider which always gave them an extra 3" on all movement but now they've got a 10" base movement and since you only only have to get within 1" to be in combat they really only lost 1" overall so they can reasonably get into combat. They've also got a 6++ now for what it's worth, along with T6 W6 they won't necessarily explode right away.

Also they've got 3 attacks base and hit on 3+, combined with the taser rule which makes their lances generate 3 hits so if you're lucky you can dump saves on whatever they're attacking. Though they're best being run with more than one in a unit, 2 or 3 isn't bad since you're dumping an assload of S8 AP0 hits on whatever they fight.

Arguably, you can use exclusively normal infantry squads. They are a +1 per model point increase for BS and WS4+, and that synergizes with re-roll 1s and stuff way better. Only real problem is the psychic power that lets you add +1 to saves and orders are harder to spam because of the max 10 in a squad thing.

You are confused. "gods" are not real in 40k anon. They are just powerful warp entities.
There are two types of "Daemons" in 40k. Born, and made. Made daemons are almost all the patron Big Four ones. They are made from the essence of that "god" and given independence.

Other daemons are like Drach'nyen...born from an event. Extreme emotions, mass killings, etc can all breed a warp entity from it. Souls of the dead can combine into something bigger. Imagine being a warp being that feeds off the base emotions of almost all sentient species...thats basically what the Chaos Gods are. Just huge, almost impossibly powerful, daemons. But they are warp beings just like any other.

It's a genuine choice; PKs still give you more flexibility since they can take on high-save stuff better than BCs can. On the other hand, BCs hit more often, are a lot cheaper and do fixed damage instead of random.

I do feel like units that are solely comprised of PKs, like MANZ, got a fair deal worse. Nobz on the other hand got a big boost, since a mix is pretty ideal; BCs supplement the more random PKs nicely by providing consistent damage, meaning that if the PKs go badly, the BCs can make up for it, but if the PKs go well, the BCs supplement that.

The exalted sorcerer metes out the most terrible and damning fate a thousand son could imagine and mutates the flesh of his enemies' bodies with baleful energies while stripping their souls and binding them to his will before ordering the technomancer to seal them within a helbrute's shell.

Concept of this list is clowns are fast.

Big unit of harlequins with Yvrain and shadowseer is the core of my army. Harlequins don't give a fuck about terrain or cover so they just charge up the middle. With the 4++ save and shadowseer's buff they are tougher than marines.

Shadowseer and Yvraine are act to speed boost my army. Turn 1 Solitaire can blitz (average 19" move) and then be word's of the phoenix for a total of 38". This can tie up a shooty unit or kill a character. Against tank spam scourge can come down and be word's of phoenix for double blaster shots.

Shadowseer can path of twilight jet bikes for a second 16" move, so they can hit infantry. Or she can path of twilight the fusion pistol starweaver so it can get within 3" of a tank (total move on turn 1 is ~32") Starweaver can charge that turn and if it dies unit inside pops out and soulbursts into combat or fires its fusion pistols (great for taking down knights and storm surges.)

Words of phoenix and twilight path can be combo'd on foot harlequins to make 3x8" moves. Good for surprise assault or late game capturing objectives.

Working with what I have already (Deathwing and Scouts I haven't assembled) I'm trying to figure out a way to run the Primaris. I'm just not sure about the Scout loadout, I feel like I need someone up the board doing something, but at the same time I feel dropping a few for sniper rifles would be better. The Terminator Company Master was just to free up a few points, otherwise I'd go with the Gravis guy.

Am I on to something? Or am I doing it wrong?

Basically anything that has a HUGE amount of wargear options is favoured well in Power Points. Especially if it's lots of relatively fragile models with multiple-dudes being able to take specialists.

Vanguard and Sternguard veterans are both able to abuse it fairly well, since they both can take squad-wide specialists, with both melee and shooting options. Same deal with most characters, and a lot of other Elite Choices.

So here's the general method for choosing a solid Power Points army.
> Get your 2 HQ's down, preferably ones with an option on Deep Strike.
> Get your 3 troops, favouring troops with more options.
> Max out your Elite options, with a preference for ones that Deep Strike.

Naturally even this has counters. Large-model count armies can just deal with it very easily by bubble wrapping to prevent deep strikers. As well as taking advantage of Elite Armies having strong-shooting but poor volume.

One thing the Stompa does have going for it is higher base strength. It can wound even the toughest stuff in the game on 2's, which admittedly the Naut can do too with its Str 16. The Stompa can wound T8 on 3's with its Smash attacks, though the Naut wounds them on 4's, which is still pretty decent, and has 2 more attacks base anyway, which means it's swinging 18 times to the Stompa's 12. So that would tend to even out.

The Stompa has some better shooting too, though once the Gattler runs out it's pretty ordinary, and the Deffkannon is only worth firing at units with 10 or more models, which is something of a contradiction on a Str 10 weapon with -4 AP and D6 damage; that's the sort of thing you should be shooting at the toughest shit on the table, and they don't tend to come in units of 10+.

Actually yeah, on closer inspection, I can't see anything this thing is actually good at.

Depends how easy it is to get things down under the limit. If it's a case of rejigging upgrades, maybe counts-as-ing a combiweapon as a basic bolter or a power sword as a basic chainsword say, I'd probably expect them to get their list under the limit. But for some armies that's difficult, necrons for example have fewer customisation options so tend to take their points in bigger chunks, so I'd be more forgiving with them.

Gonna try using a few new tactics for 8th.

Darkstrider and 9 breachers ride a shieldline and advance. Wall gets charged, they disembark within 5" and shit out 18 AP-2 shots at 2s to wound.

Strikes, Pulse drone, shadowsun and fireblade move in formation to provide a big wall of fire and overwatch to anyone who charges, along with carnivores and hounds as screens. Shaper and krootox ride together to help stealthsuits get shit done and smash something with gorillastrength. Pathfinders ride a shieldline as protection.

Eviscerator on Canoness is eh. Pretty expensive, eviscerators are 22 points vs power maul's 4 or axe's 5.

Haven't used a Hospitaller yet, who I assume will be with an Imagifier and Canoness on the bolter squad. Not sure how worth it healers can be, as much as I love Hospitallers.

Not clear where your second Imagifier is going. Everyone else has transports or is Seraphim. Doubling down on bolters?

Power Maul.
S5 AP-1 is the magic number in 8th. You will wound most things in 3+ and the hardest shit on a 5+. There is objectively no point to buy an Eviscerator with your Big Fat Cow. Maybe if it was 3 Damage or 2 Damage constantly.

Second imagifier will probably hang out in one of the flamer squads immolators, unless exorcists can use their AoF since the have the <ORDER> keyword, in which case it's double firing exorcists all day.
