Prossh is not a "worse" Tazri, while both need Food Chain to go off, one goes off with cast-from-exile creatures and the other goes off with Prossh (but still needs a damage trigger to make it a win). So it's a game of "Get cast-from-exile + food chain vs get damage trigger + food chain". While the latter is easier, the prior has access to 5 colors which does make it stronger and more consistent.

The idea is that you are building a competitive deck that has a win condition (go infinite mana, win with commander), but there already exists many decks with that exact win condition, but with far more available colors and thus reliability and power. Your choice of commander offers no strengths to make up for this weakness.
Not to mention how milling is FAR from a guaranteed win.

I usually only play 4-5 in my blue "control" lists. It seems like enough to get 1 or 2 over the course of a game to stop a player from winning outright.

My meta is pretty light on combo wins though, so if you see more of it, I'd jam closer to 6-7 counters.

For some additons, Negate and Arcane Denial are solid and for my group, Disdainful Stroke has worked well as it stops wraths and most "I win" cards.

I think 36-37 lands, 7-9 signets and other cheap rocks, 9-12 removal spells and/or board wipes, 8-10 card draw effects like Phyrexian arena or wheel of fortune (wheel is also great with reanimation spells), 5-7 reanimation and/or sneak attack type effects, 20-25 angels demons and dragons, some of which can pad your other categories like bloodgift demon draws cards or karmic guide reanimates, which would leave you about 5-9 slots to do whatever with, MLD and other land hate like winter orb is pretty popular, it goes well with mana rocks and kaalia, you can also run like a Stoneforge equipment package to get your greaves for kaalia, and then your sword of feast and famine to go with your flying attackers

I think that the Kozileks are the two best colorless generals. I run the newer one because he can draw more cards and doesn't have annihilator. Drawing cards is one of the harder things to do in colorless so having a general that does it on-demand is a huge benefit. You're also not going to be taking great advantage of Emrakul's ability because you'll never get an enchantment in the graveyard, All is Dust is probably the only sorcery, and there's only one or two playable instants.

Don't know the power level of your meta but in most metas I play in and the matches I play on MTGO Purph is almost ALWAYS the first target at a table because of how quick that deck can fish. Unless I am hold a Song of Dryad type effect that I know will immobilize them for a while they are high on my threat assessment.

What I like best about Kozilek the Ceaseless Hunger is that he rewards you for playing tons of fast mana. I even run LED in the deck which is like a Black Lotus in the deck and guarantees you a full new 7-card hand. My Kozilek deck can pretty often cast him by turn 4 and reload with a whole new hand. It's super fun.

Yeah, new Kozilek. Now that we have 6 of these titles I keep getting them mixed up.

I like the newer ones better in general because annihilator is a brutal mechanic. I know most opponents don't appreciate my colorless deck because it's a little fast for casual players but annihilating people on turn 5 made them very unhappy. I'd rather just kill them with the new titans and draw more cards or exile more targetted permanents to get through.

Clock of Omens is one of the absolute all stars in colorless EDH so make sure you have that. LED is good for casting a Kozilek but not that good otherwise and yeah, it's very expensive. Clock of Omens costs less than a dollar though and will ramp like crazy as all of your thopters or myrs or non-mana rock artifacts into mana rocks.

That Amonkhet card looks decent and I've got to try it out.

There are a lot of good artifacts that don't produce mana by tapping. I use Clock of Omens with stuff like itself, Rings of Brighthearth, Unwinding Clock, Defense Grid, Blinkmoth Urn, Crucible of Worlds, Swiftfoot Boots, and Lightning Greaves. Myr Battlesphere or Thopter Assembly work fantastic too.

Evolving Wilds. The sac cost kills the panoramas for me. Say you start out with an Evolving Wilds and an Island versus a Panorama and an Island. I'd rather spend turn-1 getting the land rather than turn-2 since a lot of times you're more likely to have a 2 drop than a 1 drop.

Evolving Wilds. You can play them early on and they can search for a land on their own. The panoramas can make colorless mana, but in the decks where you play lands like that you need colored mana. So it's downside is really annoying because you have to spend extra mana on it and it's upside is pretty useless. I don't play the panorama lands.

Actually, now that I think about it, all the shard colors have 4 budget dual lands (Amonkhet and BFZ), and their downside of ETB tapped doesn't matter with panoramas. So maybe use panoramas if you want to use the duals, but otherwise I'm still fond of Evolving Wilds/ Terramorphic Expanse

very good points.
Panoramas only fetch basics, but I'm running the three "real" fetches, shocks and the two BFZ lands, so I should pick up the Amonkhet ones. I think I started to build this deck before they were spoiled?
