Depends on interpretation but I think true love means love between equal and independent 'souls'. Everything else is artificial and/or different kind of love (like the one between parent and a child).

Not saying that artificial love is inherently bad though. My problem is that I would never forget that my perfect waifu loves me because she doesn't have free will in this matter. I want to be loved for being myself, not for making a choice.

Adobe Photoshop and Acrobat are good tools, Illustrator less so but still easily capable, but if you want something you don't need to get, then try:
Or just google "image to pdf" and try any of theh others that come up.

I use Illustrator for my main program, but I made my latest one in InDesign since it ended up at 76 pages due to the design.

This looks like fun! I miss being in school anyway.

Summer School CYOA

Classes
+Creative Writing
-Hell yeah. Love creative writing, and lord know's theres a million and a half writing prompts just here. Bird course. Teacher looks like she could use a 'friend' too ;)
+Psychology
-I'm great at getting inside peoples heads. Another bird course, and sounds like it'll hvae some interesting discussions and debates. Besides, it's good to see a Psych class teaching practicality and critical thinking over tradition.
+Physics
-Alright... Way too much math for my comfort BUT Nathan will be fun to talk to. A slacker teacher with an interest in the paranormal? I have some interesting theories on psychokinesis to share XD
+Music
-Always wish I'd tried harder at music in high school. Our teacher was awesome and despite being in keyboarding and guitar respectively, He let you futz around with any instrument and if you showed progress, he'd mark you accordingly. Crystal seems the same sort. Plus she's hot as hell.
+Sociology
-I can debate this topic well enough to engage with the teacher, and she's cute af.

Not bad. There's like, one and a half courses I have to actually try at. Physics, and I will have to apply myself at least a little to music.

Time of Day : 2-6pm
-Show up early, have lunch, and actually wind up at school on time as a matter of habit! That'll be a new experience. Plus when I get out I can hit up dinner. Maybe with someone. XD

Classrooms
Creative Writing : Small Classroom
-Honestly, Michaela looks like she'd be more comfortable with a small class. I want her to have a good summer, not get frazzled.
Psychology : Large Classroom
-Better suited to the group work, plus I get to show off to more people XD Plus, on days I feel like slacking, she'll probably pick on other students since I volunteer answers so often.
>>
>>53685163
money 1, health 3, ability 3, home 3, bodymorph 2
>>
>>53685626

Oh hey you specifically said you dont need to buy previous tiers. Lets redo that then.

Money 1 [11]
Health 3 [8]
Enjoyment 1 [7]
Home 1 [6]
Love 2 [4]
Soul 3 [1]

Powers 1.

Basically just added multiverse and power. Not to bad.
>>
>>53685661

Physics : Small Classroom
-All right... this is gonna be my ONE problem course... so I should probably pick the best environment for ensuring I pass. If its anything like high school, I can probably convince him to chat afterclass about paranormal crap. Maybe I can con him into buying me fast food in exchange for the discussion XD
Music : Outside
-Back when I was in highschool, our music classroom had soundproof(they lied, but it was half decent) rooms. I doubt this summer school's got that, so outside's the next best thing. We can spread out. Even if it >DOES< mean lugging a drumkit out and back in every week XD
Sociology : Lecture Hall
-Someitmes blending into the background with this one will be useful. I'm all for thought provoking sociological argument but... it's easy to get lost in the crowd in a lecture hall, and it'd be taxing to be at it all the time. This here's a good place to laze.

Goodies
+Backpack
-I don't care if it's a little girls backpack, BAG OF HOLDING! Yes!
+Sweater
-This'll be ideal for the end of the summer school term.
+Pencil
-I'm creative as fuck but no motivation or attention span, so hell yeah.

Friends
Creative Writing
+Analisa
+Ida
-I might be able to bring Ida out of her shell with creative writing, since it doesn't depend on vocal volume.
Psycology
+Analisa
+Nicole
-Eh, I could get behind more classes with Nicole.
Physics
+Nicole
+Analisa
-Okay I'm gonna need someone both devoted and smart to get through this class, so Nicole is a must.
Music
+Analisa
+Nicole
-Maybe I could get a small band going.
Sociology
+Analisa
+Erika
-Someone hoping to pass sociology with an interest in japanese culture. Can't really go wrong here.
-Analisa is joining me for every class cause.... that's sad! If I can help a lonely ghost girl pass on, I'll do it!

School Trip : Barbeque
-Yeah! Time to put that sweater to good use!

You can try any of the other sites, i just linked one. I would definitely try those before going to an actual program.

Sleepy Inu is obviously the best, "you need 30 minutes of sleep every day at least" isn't a bad thing, that's already less then we normally get.

Nothing wrong with it yet, who knows I could end up enjoying.

However.

I really did not enjoy Sun and Moon. You were dragged along a tedious story via unskippable cutscenes every five seconds, and had flat or straight up unlikable characters forced down your throat. The pokemon designs I weren't happy with, it was one of the few times I boxed my starter because I wasn't a fan of any of them. The max speed of almost every Alola mon is pitiful to the point where they're useless in competitive. Gyms were replaced with "puzzles" that were more just tedious fetch quests and provided no extra trainer battle experience. Z-moves are a little gimmicky, but they've grown on me.

Apparently USM is an alternate timeline, meaning it's probably going to be the exact same map and characters. Even the Japs hated the railroading, so hopefully they'll do something different.

I guess this post should go in here, I made a thread asking about this. There was a choice game I read a long time ago that was about an island, there were artifacts, one was a helmet and one was a piece of cake that as you at it helped you to learn more about the island. There were enemies like a general and a dryad-type woman.
There were a lot of cool resources I'd like to pull and use in my DnD adventure I am writing, any help would be appreciated

Not working on anything right now, but on the weekend I hope to crank out an expansion for the last CYOA I did.

I got a quasi promotion at work which means I have less time to dick around and brainstorm ideas for other CYOAs, but hopefully that'll cool down in a few weeks and I'll be able to do notes instead of working again.

Nature : Quiet Ability : Motor Drive
-Confusion
-Hypnosis
-Shadow Sky
-Shadow Panic
I can't outdps anyone with this body, so I'll act as a controller. First turn, Shadow Panic to confuse all opponents. If I survive, Shadow Sky to wear them down over time, or run. The ability is there for the obvious elec weakness, few enemies would waste rare Ice moves on a lowly birb such as myself(maybe remaining at this stage can act as misdirection?) and very few use Rock moves, last time I checked.

I could work Toxic there somewhere along the line.

The trick (in my opinion) to the island is that if you take enough predators and cryptids together, everything will be too busy killing each other off since they're more dangerous (and of larger size, so more meat to eat) than a single pesky human. (wolves and raptors fighting each other, wyverns eating great ravens and anything else really, etc.)

With the proper shelter and some well-picked artifacts, you should be able to lead a relatively peaceful life. Not as peaceful as sea-god mode however, but that choice seems even a bit too easy.

>>
>>53689391
No, the wisdom is this: if you cared about those things, you'd do them. The fact that you don't think eighty years is enough time means you won't. There will always be a better way to waste your time. Another anime to watch, or game to play, or argument to have online. But I do that already? Where exactly are you heading with this argument? See my original post
>But I am making money, I am enjoying media and I am practicing my skill in cooking.

Things like learning music or helping other people are, as mentioned, things I do NOT care about. But they are things I would eventually end up doing probably because of boredom given an infinite lifespan. That's why I didn't see much point to downright picking an option that fulfills that instantly for you. Immortality is a long time, why would I make it even worse for me by choosing to instantly become skilled in something I could already do with practice? (Instead of picking paranormal stuff that no amount of practice will fulfill.)

Of course that's just me. I'm not claiming they're bad options or that they should be removed, I'm just explaining why they're an easy choice to skip for me.

>My point is that you'll never be that bored, because you'll always have something to care about.

Not necessarily. 5 years is enough to be on a decent drawing level and actually become an artist worthy of commissions. (Speaking from experience.) 50 years is probably enough to make you one of the best artists currently living in the world, same for any other craft. After reaching that state, it's not far fetched to believe that one could feel his hobby growing stale and mixing it up by learning something else, something new and novel.

>Especially if you're going to spend that time bored and frustrated because you don't know how to do it and you have to incompetently struggle through the basics rather than diving into the fun parts while working on truly mastering your skill.

You speak like someone who doesn't know the joys of learning, or the satisfaction you get from succeeding after failing a hundred times. I am glad I am not like you then. For me the process of cooking is as worthwhile as the end meal itself. I don't want to push a button and receive already made food, I want to experience the journey before reaching the destination.

In my opinion, you need very good writing to pull off characters introducing themselves in first person. Writing of a quality which I've yet to see in these threads. Every time I've read first person descriptions here I cringed a bit but gritted my teeth moved on, at the end of the day I'm not reading charles dickens but mental masturbation material for my powertrips.
>>
>>53689688
If you have enough room, first. It's much more personal, and it lets you show their character through their own words. But it's probably useless if you're doing, like, a paragraph.
>>53690018
Don't be stupid. We don't get good writing in third person, either -- and yes, it does require good writing just as much as any other.

>Don't be stupid. We don't get good writing in third person, either -- and yes, it does require good writing just as much as any other.

No, we don't get "good writing". We get "not as bad" writing. It's just that bad writing is more apparent in first person, while third person writing quality is much easier to gloss over.
Of course maybe that's just me, but the type of first person writing I've seen on here reminded me of the roleplaying I was seeing and writing with other dumb teenagers on shitty forums back in 2005. You said it yourself, first person writing is a lot more personal, which by contrast makes third person writing less personal and thus less likely to be embarrassing. I don't cringe when reading the cold description of a product, but I would feel awkward a bit if the product had a description going "hello new owner I am mister TV, your newly bought television! Please treat me with care and don't hit me when I'm getting fuzzy and losing signal :( ".
>>
>>53690254
I prefer ham-fisted cringiness which attempts to show character to soulless coldness which scalpels out anything resembling character, personally. Plus, I think it's better to choose the option which is better if you're good, than to choose the option which sort-of covers your arse if you fucking suck. Better to be ambitious and fail miserably than to have no ambitions and fail miserably.

The idea was that if you chose the more impersonal approach you didn't fail as miserably. You didn't fail at all, since there was nothing to fail for. If you were willing and open to a different opinion you wouldn't have started your argument with "Don't be stupid". Perhaps if we knew each other and had countless hours of debate we might reach a consensus, but you're arguing with an internet stranger you look down upon, even if you were ever proven wrong you could easily bail or just mince words, move goalposts or whatever. And you know that.

>More like I tell them to learn Python and you tell them to get gamemaker and never ever stray from the drag n drop.

Don't see what's "dreaming big" in using that relic. The language I'd recommend to people is C# and the engine would be Godot. (If he really wants to use an engine, and doesn't want to use a simple 2D framework like SFML, Monogame, etc. which I also wouldn't mind recommending.)

Dreaming big is nice and all, but if you can do something to increase your chances of reaching that dream beforehand, then it's well worth doing. If you don't care that much about reaching it, then I suppose it wasn't that important of a dream to you to begin with.

Being widely used means it's well documented I suppose. It combines some of the good parts of Java and sepples together, and it has a garbage collector, making it a strong choice for beginners who want to jump straight into game dev. Personally I started with C++ but I became aware that not a lot of people enjoy autistically keeping track of pointers and the such so I stopped recommending it as a first language. If someone wanted to learn plain programming then I'd tell them to start with C.

If you want a decent quality partner you need to be of decent quality yourself. That means be in something resembling shape, have an at least slightly interesting personality and be confident. Getting in shape is on you; eat less, move more, etc; go to /fit for details. Personality can be improved on with practice - get a hobby or two (little girl cartoons and Mongolian basket-weaving forums don't count), then go and get some practice interacting with people. Confidence comes from experience and being worth a damn in life. Go out, deal with people, accomplish stuff.

TL;DR: Get your shit together. If you don't give a fuck about yourself, why should anyone else?

Love requires compromise. Both you and your partner need to make room for the other person. Sometimes that means giving part of yourself up. Sometimes that means they're giving part of themselves up for you.

That's part of being an adult in a relationship. Wishing for a magic faerie who loves everything you do and has no needs whatsoever is the selfishness of a child.
>>
>>53691362

>>53691416
If she wants you to change them, she surely has no love for them, anon.

You're essentially moving the goal posts. The argument is over having to change yourself. Yet now suddenly it's about going to a cooking class? Which is it? You don't get to narrow the scope of an argument then pretend that narrow scope was intended, or if it was, was clear to all parties involved from the start. If that's what you meant, you need to clarify in the interest of good conversation and not strawman over it to wank your dick.
>>
>>53691396
And again I'll say, we are talking about way past the minimum, we're talking about the most attractive people around. They don't just luck their way into that, they spend all their fucking time obsessing over their looks. That's why it's a hobby, they do it because they enjoy it, at least hopefully.

Anyways, being attractive is not just fitness, it's also about fashion and acting right in all sorts of ways.
>>

So if she wants you to try something new that she enjoys so that you can spend more time together, she doesn't love you?
eg. >>53691416 's example of a cooking class

If she disapproves of an addiction you have and wants to help you kick it, she doesn't love you?

Granted, she has to be willing to make the same compromises, as >>53691397 said. Love is a two way street, and it's not a fairy tale wonderland. You're not always going to agree, and that's okay. If you're unwilling to accept that you're either going to be unhappy or abusive.

Do you know what moderation is? My girlfriend has no problem with me playing video games sometimes, but if I play them all the time then we're not spending time together, and she feels neglected. So I cut down on the amount of time I spend on video games, and spend that time doing other things with her.

By your logic, that means she doesn't love me. If she did love me, she'd love sitting by my side while I game as much as I did while I was single.

All of this comes across like a bunch of anons talking about how hard life is and how they need to reinvent themselves and work out 24 hours a day to find a good woman, essentially whining and making it out to be a huge ordeal, attacking one or two guys telling them that exercise is actually easy and doesn't consume their lives, and to search for happiness with a compatible woman rather than chasing the prettiest asses.

In a roundabout way, I think they're trying to justify their misery by making happiness seem a more monumental task than it is.
>>
>>53691539
No, it's one anon who was never in a relationship whining about women wanting him to change because he never considered that being in a relationship is actually different than being single, and a bunch of anons telling him he's an idiot; and two anons arguing over the semantics of what "attractive" and "hobby" means.

Pretty much standard fare here.

>>53691490
I meant your assumptions about me. Hell, as far as I'm concerned, it's a mark of maturity to realize you should settle for someone who suits you rather than insisting you find the best looking or 'optimal' woman. It's moving away from the idealistic crushes of a teenager to the real world of adult relationships.

Again, you have never defined improvement.

>>53691507
Who said anything about moderation before you? This is just another example of a post trying to add a dimension or element to the argument that wasn't there before and pretend it was always present, just to try and win. That's not how you introduce another aspect to the debate.
>>
>>53691539
Some men will never get a compatible woman, and I imagine that can really mess them up.
>>
>>53691539
Oh, that's absolutely what they're doing. If they set up happiness as an insurmountable challenge, then it's not their fault they're not happy, it's this cruel and merciless world's fault. If they acknowledge it really isn't that hard, then they have to also acknowledge they are the architects of their own misfortune.
>>
>>53691509
No, you've just done an awful job at making an argument. What exactly do you think that's eating up all their time to be attractive? I've told you how it can't be exercise, because that doesn't take up much at all, not as much as you fatties think it does. So what is it? Eating well? Takes no more time than any sort of eating. Sleeping well? Only if you're getting less than you should already. So what do you think it takes, anon?
>>
>>53691623
Again, you're confusing the original premise, which was "the most attractive people", not "average people who are fit".

I think you're also confusing "hobby" with "time consuming activity" for some reason, but I'm not sure why.

And well, since you asked, there's also fashion, which is a really important part of it. And last but not least, just spending a shit ton of time around others to get your effort's worth out of it.
>>
>>53691603
But moderation is a form of change, and lack of moderation is a reason someone would hate your interests. It's rare for someone to outright hate an activity someone else enjoys. What's more likely is that they have a stereotype in their head of someone who devotes themselves to that activity at the exclusion of other things, or has been in some form of relationship (friendship and familial included) with someone who does so.

Even if someone doesn't like the activity themselves, as long as you're willing to moderate said activity, the vast majority of partners will let you do your own thing. My girlfriend watches shows I don't like or works on some crafting I have no interest in doing with her while I play my video games, and we're both happy when we come back together for some board games or a hike or some other activity we both enjoy.
>>
>>53691674
>Fashion
What do you think people in fashionable outfits do? You look up what's in fashion, you buy it, you wear it. It doesn't eat up too much time, though it could be called a hobby.

>Spending a lot of time around others to get your effort's worth
This isn't an element of attractiveness the way you've put it. This is something you think makes the effort 'worth it'.
>>

Altho, there doesn't seem to be anything that prevents you from shrinking your penis if you are a girl. Go hog wild.

This.
I desire peepee for my peepee.

tl;dr anon demands an exact clone of himself but it's a hot girl instead.

Yeah, but at this point I'm just thinking of things to humor you. Anon, in this conversation, the thing you took exception to was not something that I felt strongly about, it just took a while to realize we were miscommunicating. I wanted to point out that the people who are at the top of attractiveness are there because they devote themselves to it, meanwhile you wanted to talk about an everyday sort of attractiveness. Models versus cute girls next door basically.

>But moderation is a form of change
Only if you lacked it in the first place. Are you arguing in general or are you referring to a specific individual? The idea was the general concept of changing/reinventing yourself. Yet you seem to be trying to turn it into a narrower debate that seems to refer to some specific, imagined individual, without properly introducing that attempt or said 'individual'. Who are you referring to anon, and how you do you expect them to change? I will respond to something that stands out, though.

>We both enjoy.
See, the crux of the debate was the idea of making yourself do things you don't like, as a hobby, to impress women. Not letting your girlfriend do her own thing on her own, and not doing things you both like together, but actually trying to force yourself to change your interests and take up hobbies you think will impress women. I think you might have gotten confused as to what people were talking about at some point.

2 peepees don't go together

are gay people actually just victims of never having the game for infants that the square peg round hole idiom comes from?

shocking discovery!

I'd rather we drop a debate than keep it going just because.

I believe that the issue here is that you never told me what you think they do to be so damn attractive, so I just focused on the elements I know make people attractive. Unless you want to do that, and since you don't seem to really care that much, I don't think we can really go anywhere from here.

We probably want to go to the next thread at this point.

Someone make a throg.

It's kinda sad. I'd feel worse for them if they didn't get such a smug superiority complex though.

I do hope someone takes this advice to heart, though, and realizes they should look for compatible personalities first, rather than trying to adapt to some woman who they think looks the best. Also, that they should exercise because it really isn't that hard.

There's already a new thread. I like to leave old debates in old threads though.

Look for the 'Cheesy Yoghurt on Asian Goats' thread. We already have one.
