I take it you would still want to do that? If so, I would recommend the requirements to be something that can't actively be failed, but forces you to do something. Otherwise I think that the harsher requirements are just going to seem like a gamble as to whether you can uphold the conditions, which I don't think is going to be really effective.

It was never going to be blatantly "you must lose weight to befriend this cat", just that she prefers healthy lifestyles and would likely help you work your way towards being a cat-adventurer with her and her party. I mean, in this setting, there's going to be a lot of activity, swimming around. You have to be fit.

Also thinking of other "constraints", such as them needing your intelligence to help decipher the remains of human civilization, having the willpower to get off your ass and learn how they do things in their society, getting a job, etc. The overall tone is probably going to be loyal to whatever the setting's intended. So, comfy.

The same goes for something like deciphering ruins. Especially because it's set in another world, so it's hard to estimate what one is capable of.

There aren't many dangers apart from the natural. At most I'll give you stuff like magic coffee or something, and also probably some sort of way to survive the high-pressure of the depths.

Their surface sea-structures are relatively secure and safe to live in on the sea, but they also probably have basic vehicles to get you started on the adventuring, like electric-powered submarines. Even so, you're still in for a lot of swimming and walking/running (inside of abandoned, under-sea structures, etc). Also, some potential fighting against minor threats.

Either way, don't expect to get through the more adventurous stuff if you're not willing to become fit. I wouldn't feel comfortable going on a spelunk with a fat guy slowing us down.

That's exactly what I was worried about. I think it's pretty easy to underestimate natural dangers. I consider myself pretty fit and have done both some urban exploration as well as sailing (and almost died doing the latter) and that kind of adventuring just sounds like it would have a really high turnover rate. Though if you're fine with glossing over that bad luck can potentially be deadly, it's probably alright. It's just that it really doesn't fit my idea of comfy, though I may just be somewhat overwary.

I think for diving, I will have a focus on some special diving gear that's far beyond what we have today. A diving mask that essentially lets you breathe underwater for hours without needing a huge oxygen tank, for example (but maybe needs tiny capsules to keep going; something less intrusive but something you nonetheless have to pay some mind to).

Nimue and Empusa. Nimue because she seems like good company, and because I don't mind a broken dove to play with. Empusa because consuming souls seems like a nice power, and a motivated and (it seems) skilled businesswoman is an asset independent of other concerns. Plus, if I'm fused with enough souls, I could perhaps ask Nimue about the nature of God without being immediately destroyed by that knowledge. Mara could be useful for a lot more than money, but the most important things can be emulated with great care since I'm not well known to begin with.

Was gonna do form sculpting until I saw it was a one-time thing. If it can't be used to change myself according to my will, then it's only good for attaining physical majesty. And that can be done the old-fashioned way.
Magic seems the most useful ability since it's very open-ended. Magic to obscure my presence is the top priority. I can do a lot of that through mundane means, but if adventurers have some eldritch method of discerning draconism, I need to inhibit that. (8/25)
You know, with five points remaining I'll upgrade Form Change. I'd like strength and grace and better wings, but those mostly serve the purpose of a bugout option in case of adventurer, and a full dragon form does that too.

So, I'll live normally in human form most of the time, making use of Timeless and switching to half dragon form to work my secret sorceries. After I master the methods of seclusion, I'll turn to magically improving myself. In time I hope to purify my bloodline to the point that I become a true dragon, and further yet, taking each of these draconic abilities to their greatest strength.

The chill build was a hard choice, and I'm still not sure this is what I'm wanting. Mainly because Mara's powers are so ill-defined. Can I choose what things people remember? Or who remembers things? I have friends and family that I don't want forgetting about me. Will my boss forget to pay me? And as much as I actually do love creepywaifus, Nimue's eyes may be a tad much for me... on the other hand, it'd also be kinda cute to have her, well, acting cute. And I have a feeling there's a LOT I could do with her books. And Mara is fuckable and promises free stuff and allows me to be lazy.

You also have a point about the randomness, the dice can be brutal. I updated the opener to give 3 rolls, take the best.

I won't nerf Unnatural Selection, though. Otherwise people would just pick Mew instead. Unnatural Selection can be within 100 of any of your 3 rolls. That gives a good selection, but still leaves gaps.
