Maybe (for starfinder) they are a digital being who's still insecure about having a physical presence or an Android awoken from a Renewal and still discovering the world. The whole ERP aspect could evolve naturally through play with your fellows if you form a connection with them. That said, knowing it's another dude you're doing it with even if it's just your characters interacting could be off putting I guess but who knows! The fun is in the journey!

That said, what are some key aspects both prospective players and gms are to be held to if that's the right way of putting it. What is expected of the GM wanting to run a game and what is the general consensus on what is expected of the PCs? perhaps having a quick doc with this could go a long way to smooth the process out.

That can work for some long lived races, but it only really works well if it's a race that can grow up in near complete isolation from shorter lived societies (eg. elves that rarely interact with humans and where children would never get that option). If I ever have a long lived character that grows up in or around human settlements I go with what >>53573029 does, just because it makes the whole thing much less alien. Their parent culture might consider them still a child, but humans will treat them like full blown adults (and they usually behave somewhere in the middle)

Look at it this way, anon.

Sometimes you take a feat for a build, sometimes you take a feat for fun. The Rough n' Ready feat (the one that removes the -4 penalty to improvised weapons) is a feat for fun. You won't go the distance with it, but you'll certainly punctuate bar-room brawls with laughs and snorts.

Old 3.5 dm here, I'm about to start a pf campaign and my party has a very high baseline skill bonuses. How do you guys scale DCs in pathfinder? The classic 5-10-15/18-20 distribution from 3.5 loses its meaning when your wood elf monk has +5 bonus on knowledge(history) at level 1... and that's his lowest bonus

Man, the choreography in that fight is so good. You can tell right from the start who the better fighter is, even if you don't have any sort of background in fencing. It's similar to the old Bruce Lee movies and how every fight was as much an action scene as a dialogue.

This is a rare sort of thing. The vast majority of fight scenes these days are just spectacles, but this was great.

Well, I definitely feel you need to get better at drawing, but the character the drawing represents looks fun. you're doing well with perspective, but the curve of her hip extends down oddly - you have it as a flat plan rather than the natural curve it feels like it should have. It also seems to extend further down than it should, at least to me.

Her hands look kind of like blocks of flesh, but that's understandable, as hands are difficult at the best of times.

Face is very well done, though. the head's a bit large for my tastes, but that's understandable given she's a halfling.

The easy, answer? Longbow with generic longbow feats every time. You don't even need to bother with clustered shots, because you can just make all your damage the same type as your pulse to bypass any reductions, and nothing's preventing Rapid Shot from giving you full pulse dice. You'll be a bit less accurate and you'll need to not dump Strength, but it's damn worth it I'd say.

If you can somehow get dex-to-damage with a crossbow as a feat, then it might be worthwhile, as the 2nd rank seems to imply it completely skips the need to reload. Guns are a fucking mess that will either be worthless (a gorrillion prereqs and restrictions due to touch) or totally broken (touch attack deadly aim w/no reloads lmao), so I wouldn't really look into it too much.
