Toying with the idea of making the Eidolan a walking encyclopedia, and I'm torn:

Standard Summoner gives great knowledge skill checks on all the monster ID skills, and universal translator capability kicks in at level 5. However, in combat It takes a standard action to dismiss the Eidolon so I can start summoning, so I lose a round before I can engage. I'd want to have it out at the start so I can use the knowledge skills to ID whatever we're fighting, so I can't run around with it put away.

Master Summoner on the other hand has far more anemic growth on the skills - knowledge skills would be under an average rogue/bard(+15 at best), but I can summon with the eidolan out and engage immediately. Also no additional languages until level 10, and even at 20 it won't have the full breadth of knowledge skills I'd like.

Okay, I was thinking about making this for Ensoulment. A Vigilante who stalks the night with weapon in hand, silently dispatching every enemy of the Crown and of the common people.

Also secretly a redheaded tomboy who is a duelist during the day, serving the princess in an attempt to restore her family's name. Generations ago, her ancestors rebelled against the king and were exiled for their treachery. She seeks to undo their shame by bringing the kingdom back to prosperity. Her philosophy is that it's possible for even the disgraced and the despised to redeem themselves, even if nobody wants to see them succeed. More than anything, she wants to help others who have lost everything to stand tall once more and regain their station.

~30 sessions, ~8 months of playing, and an entire campaign's worth of planning... Not exactly down the drain, but left down somewhere. I have fond memories of what was, but I'll always remain excited for what now will probably never be. I had such high hopes, but in hindsight I'm not really surprised at all. The signs were there that this was coming and I'd even given some small consideration to the thought of ending the game myself. I have this weird feeling that's not really sadness but isn't relief or emptiness. It's kinda like hope for what could come next mixed with uncertainty of what comes next mixed with disappointment that things had to turn out this way. I don't blame myself. I can't, at least not in full and not tonight. It's already 40 minutes past the time I normally try to go to sleep so I'm not one of the walking dead at work in the morning.

But the short of it is that my four player group has two players that have had some drama between them, which has finally driven away one of the other players who just can't deal with it anymore. The unfortunate timing of the situation is that the fourth player also had to drop out of the game, because they're moving, and I'm not sure I can recruit two new players for the game. Well, no, that's not it. I'm not sure I want to recruit two new players. In fact, the more I think about it, the more I'm sure I distinctly DON'T want to. I like my two remaining players, as friends, but I if I'm being perfectly honest I don't think they're particularly great players and I can't be sure that they drama between them wouldn't just make more problems down the line. Due to Complicated Stuff™ though, continuing with one of them but not the other is probably not possible.

Originally a tool for torture and gruesome execution, over time executioners on the war-front have adapted it to proper combat use. Unlike other Double weapons, this weapon does not have a second head, but rather functions as a double by spinning, pullings, and grinding the weapon against one's foes. As Such, you only need to pay for one set on enchantments on the weapon instead of separate enchantments for separate ends.
War-Wheels come in 2 varieties, studded/dull ones that deal bludgeoning damage, or wheels lined with spikes that deal piercing damage instead. Further, the weapon may be treated as a wheel for the purposes of using the Equipment Trick (Wheel) feat with it.
Characters not proficient with this weapon may instead wield it as a Greatclub of the appropriate damage type.
So, how I do? Is it any good? Or should the damage be different? Is the x4 crit modifier too much? I picked that due to it being a weapon of Executions, so it seemed apt.

I've been thinking of making a doc for compiling all my homebrew weapons in the future once I sit down to make them, and I have a few ideas for other weapons to put in. Should I pursue that, or am I unqualified to make fun and crazy weapons?

I can see this. The issue I had I think was with the initial round of edits. I added a great deal and did not take away much. What Jericho needs more than anything else is clarity. At the moment he is stuck between his sense of loss/hopelessness and a desire to uphold an ideal left to him by his father. I should do some cutting and clarify this struggle.

The loss/hopelessness/lack of purpose is supposed to be more the draw of his Uncle, his uncle directly calling it out in his call to arm. His father, similarly, should call him to seek the Princess to uphold the family's tradition, doing so on his death bed.

This would add a better contrast and make everything clearer and split Jericho neatly into two halves (he is a vigilante after all). The one who seeks heroes to find a new purpose, and the one who upholds his family's purpose. Jericho's main struggle should be to reconcile these two halves. The split occurs in "who am I?", with the social identity searching for his new self and the vigilante being defined by generations of tradition.

Been thinking about completely rewriting and reworking Niccolo for awhile. As much as I like the direction I had in mind for the character, I feel like he'll just be looked over for the other brainy characters. His conservative philosophy might also make him a bore around the other larger goal pcs.
