I dislike this notion to an extent. There are CYOAs that give lots of freedom to choices (Overlord, Domain Master, Magic Realm) but I feel like this route with concerns to CYOA creation is so directionless. Don't get me wrong, it's nice that these CYOAs let you do what you want and it's great we have them, but I dislike the notion that every CYOA has to follow that formula. It's worse when there are people here who label CYOAs with any notion of restriction as "badwrongfun" simply because they can't be the same edgemaster they build in every other CYOA.

I think the most important part of a CYOA being enjoyable is through immersion rather than wish-granting. Anything can be made good when written well enough.

SDA was talking about last thread how quality takes time. However, it seems to me that the quickest he makes the CYOA, the better it is. The part of the weapon CYOA that I guess was meant for Dark Souls CYOA and became stand-alone-ish wasn’t very fun for almost anyone, I guess, and while perhaps it wasn’t the one that took the most time, it probably took a lot of time for something that normally would be a single section of a CYOA. Roomate CYOA is better than StarDust/BattleMage CYOA and SDA himself said it was made to see how fast he could make a CYOA. Also, the first version of roommate was the best (best Azriel), and the updates, that had an increase of time to the CYOA making progress, were worse.

Battlemaster and resistance are there to give me a bit of a head start when first facing the abominations in the estate. Given some time I basically become Cell except actually immortal.

Form changing to something attractive along with charisma should solve my harem needs when I portal to Earth.
