Inquisitorial Black Ships typically have hangers containing Thunderhawks to carry personnel to a planet and might include Thunderhawk transports which can carry Rhino sized vehicles (which includes all of the Sororitas vehicles other than the gunships which can fly themselves).

The ships are a type of strike cruiser so it does have the capacity to deploy drop pods and could potentially have the SoB version of them considering it is a Sororitas vessel.


I am not the jumpmaker and am not sure if the ship the jump offers has any of these, you might need to figure out landings on your own.

I try to match threat for threat, mostly because a lot of the time I only want to alter world events in a specific way, if there's any aim to at all. Being all flashy and such makes derailment a lot more likely, and even when it doesn't, so much fame usually isn't worth the trouble.

Besides, some places have some really scary things hiding in them, and I'd rather not step on toes unknowingly.

I don't take full powerloss drawbacks because I'm a paranoid fuck. Gauntlets are okay, but then, those generally have the caveat "by the way, if you die, you don't lose the game", so maybe I just have some horrifying memories by the end of it.

But I do tend to take "You're absolutely hideous!" drawbacks for freebie points, which is KINDOF a power loss? Because it shuts off all my cute perks and attraction perks and all that. Which is kindof a big deal for... most jumpers, I think.
And for those, usually what I do is either wear some kind of full encompassing armour of some kind, or else use some kind of hologram/glamour thing to disguise myself. So depending on the jump I might look like freaking Schwarzwald from Big O, or the Black Knight from Fire Emblem, or I might be stealing Tsunade's schtick from Naruto.

Unless I'm, like, purposefully rockin' the hideous look, like I did in God of War. I took that drawback and then turned into a Jabberwock from Through The Looking Glass, just so I'd look extra fucked up.

To be clear, though, I wouldn't advocate becoming an Archmage. As powerful as they are in their parent setting, they still take stupidly dangerous risks becoming one and using their archmage tier magic when it comes to horrific paradox concequences. And that's not even talking about Imperial Rites.
Frankly, it's better and makes more sense to stay, not an archmage, and just ignore the Gnosis limt of 5, and take it all the way to 10; it gives you the next best thing to completeion, for those who care about such things, and it makes more sense, since the jump seems to confuse high-Gnosis and Archmages.

Me personally, I'd be happy just finding a way to get Gnosis 10 and mastery in all 10 Arcana, bumping the Gnosis limit of mastery for one of the Arcana, which may be possible with a spirit pact (I'll have to look into that). Becoming an Archmage can wait til post-spark. Although, given the risks involved, I would have like a fiat guarantee or insurance to make it easier to become one post-spark.

I really don't understand how the jumpmaker got so confused about Gnosis, maybe I am misunderstanding them, but either way, I am personally fanwanking the limit away. If you want to criticise me for that, go ahead, I know I deserve some, but that is what I'm going to do anyway.

Still, it's difficult to beat D&D magic for versatility, or Harry Potter magic for that matter. Wheel of Time channelling is really versatile and pretty powerful even for a novice.

Bolt weapons are actually rarer than power weapons, lowish level IG officers can get a power weapon if they are lucky but have almost no chance of a bolt weapon of any kind (unless the commissar dies near them but even then it is at most a bolt pistol). As for plasma you couldn't pay me to use an imperial plasma weapon, melta might not be quite as effective but at least it (probably) won't blow up.

Again it is a minimally impactful restriction power wise but a big one fun wise.

But Mage magic is very flavourless. It's "pure imagination can do anything, but nonmages are shitheads" - and all the flavour comes from making it kinda-fit with real-life-ish traditions.

You could make your own magic system that has the same scope, but is much more interesting.

For example: all magic comes from repeating and recombining the First Words, the perfect description of the universe that the gods spoke when they came into being (each having their own verse). Thus, mages are all linguists and singers. A group of mages is a Choir, a ritual chant can involve nonmages.

Anything can be done through clever combination of the First Words, but the Final Words are forbidden - for they describe the ruination of all things.

The Isekai Protagonist Bullshit comes from this magic working even if you don't have any vocal talent - it's just weaker. So whip out your computer and code a program that chants a thousand times faster than a human with digitally-perfect repetition, that never tires and can take advantage of acoustics in ways mortal voices never could.

You want magic immunity - so Negima or Dresden. That'll keep you safe from the majority of spellcasters.

Psychic immunity would be helpful, but is less important.

Something that can stop you losing abilities - at least one of the Pillars of Souls can strip them away permanently.

All-around resilience against status effects is important, as there are some very nasty poisons and suchlike.

That should be enough really. RWBY physical feats are mid-range for Anima, which is generally going to be a good enough baseline.

I'd recommend an instant escape ability, and something like Mind Blank to avoid divinations. Some kind of technomancy/technopathy would help dealing with Solomon relics and Imperium magitech.

The single best jump would be Negima. Twilight Imperium and any of the tech/magic/punch capstones, and assuming end of series competency, you could well be coming into Anima equivalent to a level 13+ character before the bonuses from the jump.

The magic system relies upon charisma and desire.

Reality is composed of an infinite number of spirits, overlapping and consuming each other - so at any moment, a table's spirit could be three or four or one individual minds. Powerful spirits have continuity even when they're made of millions of individuals - they're called gods or demons.

Magic based on a straightforward physical outcome comes from asking a spirit to alter part of its domain. Powerful spirits do this by using the magician as a conduit to negotiate with the spirit that governs whatever portion of reality describes the effect. Thus, a table walks or a tree explodes.

Conceptual magic is usually much trickier to get a spirit to agree too - and so generally comes from the magician themself altering the spirit's perception of its own reality. This can be done by communing while under the effects of drugs or powerful meditations, but many spirits are loath to touch a magician they think might get them high. They're very conservative like that.

But, they still enjoy the sensation of being embodied in a mortal host - more than they fear being controlled. Seducing a spirit to enter your body, or temporarily creating it a body, allows for the mage to exert their will upon the spirit while it is distracted by the extremes of sensation. Failing to make this exchange "fun enough" will generally end badly, but a magician with a silver tongue and a whore's tenacity can assemble themselves a regular slew of spiritual patrons willing to grant them powerful magical effects.

The bullshit comes from the lingering effects of regularly "becoming one" with so many powerful spirits. The magician finds that a few of their component minds remain behind, stuck or fused with their own soul. Eventually they become capable of magic in their own right, and can directly "negotiate" with disembodied spirits.

You're basically saying 'look at this totally different thing that isn't actually what you want but is still pretty neat, will this satisfy you?' which I've got to say no to. If I really wanted to come up with a totally unique and interesting magic system to use BBS to give myself, I'd do it, because it's not like I lack imagination. Depends on what you mean by 'best'. It's basically a Jumper's personal Driver that can use the forms of other Kamen Riders, and you even get the canonical Ride Form cards if you pursue the gauntlet to its final conclusion, which includes two Riders there are no jumps for yet. It also lets you save on belt imports if you get Kamen Rider Strongest, as well as slapping on other 'transformation' devices to combine them, or Deep Breath to have them function as altforms (thus letting you sandwich them together with That One Perk).

It's a fun and neat tool, but it being 'best' depends on what you're going for. If you want utility, any of the Neo-Heisei Drivers work. If you want speed, Zecters are some of the fastest things available. If you want power, Kamen Rider Black (the full version) and Kamen Rider Kuuga are pretty fantastic.

It lets Decade transform into any other Rider's non-Ultimate forms, empower other Riders by turning them into stronger monster forms (though something like half of them just turn into weapons for him to use, kind of selfish) and with the upgraded form summon a copy of any Rider's Ultimate form to perform combo attacks with him. It also gives him the ability to permanently kill things which are normally immortal. There's a reason Decade is called the Destroyer of Worlds, he single-handedly defeated every Rider in existence at one point. Granted, that was eight years ago and he hasn't updated his arsenal since W, so the current Riders might be able to stop him. They've got nearly twice as many Riders as he does, now, could work.

By and large whenever a jumpmaker tries to get artsy with font and color combinations people complain, and with cause. If you jump is so bland that it needs whimsical text and speshul color combinations in order to get attention then likely as not it's not as fantastic as you think.

Everything in the world has it's place; a Context to which it belongs, a reality for which that thing holds valid. The gods are beings which inherently lack context, and in order to exist or do anything meaningful, they must reduce themselves by contextualizing themselves, confirming their existence and in turn, validating the existence of that which they use as a means of contextualizing their own existence. Demons are beings naturally contrary to the context of the world.

Sapient beings, naturally having context, are capable of self-affirmation, recognizing that they and other people exist in-and-of themselves. This gives them a soul, a part of their existence which is naturally associated with the various parts of world which other people and they themselves believe them to be connected to, and an image of what they believe themselves to be.

Magic is, in a sense, nothing more than removing something from it's proper context or connecting two or more ideas or concepts irregardless of where those things belong. It works in four parts; Association, Affirmation, Validation, and Confirmation, and each works roughly how you'd expect them too. Each part can be preceded by the one before it, or can be preformed in the absence of the others, but none can be preformed backwards in the sequence.

An example of its use; In the association step, one decides to write their name upon a simple stone, establishing an association with the name. In a continuation of the same step, one bleeds onto the rock to establish a second connection between the stone, the name, and the mage. Moving onto the Affirmation step, the mage them spends time contemplating the implications of the now established link, strengthening it while also developing it, and internalizes this as a part of their own Context.

Another magic system:

Magic relies on imagination. Not because it actually does, but because the Great Spirit that rules all things has the mentality of a magpie and a very short attention span.

The magician invents a magical system, codifying it in a series of essays with whatever historical basis or fantastical musings as they think works. If it's sufficiently amusing to the Great Spirit, then the Spirit starts playing along, and it is invested with power. When the Great Spirit becomes bored, the system stops working or loses most of its power.

Unfortunately, while this means that expanding a magic system's reach is as simple as inventing new justifications for why "immortality was actually very simple...", the Great Spirit doesn't keep good track of distinctions - two mages with systems that are too similar might find effects slipping between the cracks, and plagiarism carries a real risk (sometimes intended) of mutating the original author's magical system.

In order to cling to their power, upon realizing the truth behind all magic, the greatest archmages immediately suppressed the truth - but even though they succeeded, over time they lost most of their personal magical power, and rely on idea farms to try and spark the interest of a Great Spirit that is increasingly bored with their greed.

And in a modern society, it can be hard to deal with the readers of a fantasy series suddenly levitating upon saying the magic words...

The Affirmation step and the Confirmation steps are where the magic happens. In the Association step, you link concepts together in some way, and in the Validation step, you validate the connection by applying it, defining the boundaries of how deeply and how far the link extends and what it is capable of, while simultaneously limiting it in the same capacity. In the Affirmation step, the link is still flexible and undefined, you can apply it selectively and break it at any time.

The best way to frame it is as an argument. 'If I am like this stone, then ____ must be true.' being Affirmation, and 'Because I am like this stone, ____ should be true' being Validation. Confirmation by contrast, would simply be 'I am as to a stone as ____.' or 'A stone is to ____ as ____, thus I am ____.' it extends beyond simple Affirmation or Validation, as it takes for granted the basic reality of your connection with the stone to extend it into how the stone, and thus you, relates to other things, and carries it to its natural extreme of conceptual Olympics.
