I want to run a short campaign/one-off based on the legends novel "Death Troopers", does anyone have advice on how to run zombies?
Additionally does anyone have advice for running imperial characters? I already have the imperial duty chart and seem to recall someone saying that stormtroopers should start as human, have 30xp to spend on talents and receive basic combat training, physical training and coordinated assault for free. Anything else I should be aware of like which classes to disallow if any? I have all of the rulebooks.

Does anyone have any advice on how many credits a starting level 4 character should start with? I've done the Death Trooper thing before. If memory serves I gave them -30% on critical rolls against them, they pretty much ignored anything beyond destroyed/severed limbs and imposed an average fear test. I think I used the storm trooper stat block with +10 wounds and one extra green die to brawl checks. My players figured out what was going on pretty quick and resorted to thermal detonators and heavy repeating blasters shortly after.

The Enforcer is definately more of a "those're some nice knee caps you've got there, shame if something happened to them" kind of social character. In rewatching RotJ, I find that Kylo's anger in TFA is not at all dissimilar from Luke's in his duel against Vader. It's actually really interesting how well those two explosions of emotion (Luke's and Kylo's) sync up.

He's in a region of space that primarily exports raw materials to the Imp war machine, and the primary threat is piracy to the many convoys and rampant smuggling. Went 5-1 at a fairly major tourney last weekend with it. It absolutely rapes almost everything it goes up against. Multiple stress tokens against a SJ Phantom is just mean. Players today are mostly not prepared for Whisper. Bonus points for Expertise literally being dead weight against Rebel Captive, and people are starting to use that card a fair amount.

Ok, let's start with the obvious ones-

Biggs- R2-F2 is worse than just taking a focus action unless you are getting swarmed by 2-dice unmodified attacks. R2-F2 will not help you in the slightest against a list that focuses on a few incredibly mean attacks at the beginning. Focus also lets biggs' 3 attack dice hit harder.

Biggs really likes R4-D6, as it lets him live longer. He can use R2-D2 as well, but if he has that, some wingmen that can help keep damage off of him are needed (Kanan, etc). M9-G8 is another option there, as is R2-D6. He really wants to have Integrated Astromech.

For the B-wing, it's looking kind of oveloaded. B wings like to either be built to hunt down aces, brawl with big ships like falcons/decimators, or to go jousting. You have made a 40 point ship that can't really hold its own against 40 points of ships. Also, note on marksmanship- It's not worth it unless you can attack multiple times a round or if you can do something particularly impressive with a crit. If you want the consistent offense, Expertise exists. Marksmanship is for TIE/D Maarek Stele, Bossk with Cluster Missiles, etc. It's particularly redundant with proton torps.

Kyle's not bad, although he would benefit from a TLT. He can have biggs cover his deadzone, as biggs is a 3 attack ship.

I'm guessing by your lack of 0-point upgrades like Guidance chips that you are new.

What ships do you own? Is your group cool with proxying upgrade cards?

Four deployments is really pushing it, and E-Stormtroopers aren't nearly as good as they were before the scoring changes, etc.

I'm not really sure what good Imperial lists will look like after Heart of the Empire is released. Right now the meta is almost entirely focused scum Hunters. 15 of the top 16 at worlds were playing scum.

When I started as a filthy Rebel pilot Heroes of the Resistance and Rebel Aces were the best purchases for my early squads. Unfortunately I think with what you have you don't have enough firepower without the t-70 upgrades. I hate saying "just buy new ships" to a new player though, so I'm sure there are options with what you have. Like the other anon said, avoid loading too much on a ship. Have a reason for every upgrade on a ship. Kyle is a good support ship if you have other ships that can take the focus tokens and use them, like Norra Wexley and Jake Farrell. The HWK is a support ship, so try to use it as such. B Wings work well with one or two other B Wings, so rebel aces would be a great buy.

Anyways, for new players, it's semi-standard that newer players might have to print out some upgrade cards.

Here are some tips- of the B-wing pilots, each does a different thing. Ten Numb hunts aces with his Mangler Cannon or Bistan crew. Keyan abuses Stay on Target. Daggers use Adanced Sensors and their higher PS to take actions and bump into people to avoid getting shot. Blues take FCS and just roll the fuck into people's faces. Nera does shenanigans. with her torps. The issue with Ibtisam is that Keyan vastly outclasses her.

The HWK is an odd ship. Scum ones are a lot better, but Kyle can be maded to be pretty useful, and Jan isn't bad if you have some method of making an attack very accurate.

OT core gives you Biggs, the strongest pilot in the game. The rookie isn't inefficient either.

New T-70, only Blue Ace is underwhelming. It gives you a decent ship for efficiency lists with the Blue squadron, a potential elite on par with a Sabre squadron in the Red squadron, and it gives you Poe-8, a build-your-own dude.

Do you have a budget to work with? Any idea about other people in your area? Any other ships you plan on getting?

Norra in the ARC goes great with Kyle. Rebel Aces is a must have if you say you love B-Wings. It's a must have for any rebel player anyway. I highly recommend that you get integrated astromech for your X-Wings, as its basically the staple card on all pilots. Heroes of the Resistance has 2 copies and the best T-70 pilots.

Sabine's TIE is fun as fuck but the cards that come with it usually don't go with anything other than Sabine's TIE. Either way its a cool pack to get if you like fun. T-70s, Sabine's TIE, ARC-170s, and A-Wings are what I'd list as the most fun ships for rebels. Also worth noting that Ghost and HOTR are good for your wallet since you can easily build a decent squad out of either box.

I recently started getting more into X-Wing since I am not working. Got stuck as a stay at home dad while my wife got a great job making great money. So why not, right?

I didn't plan on getting a falcon anytime soon, was thinking of getting the 2400 for the heavy laser cannon. Would also like to get the rebel transport ship for HotAC. Especially since i get a new x wing along with it.

So far my only wins are when I went for a wham bam thank you ma'am kind of playstyle. Just go aggressively. I have been watching this years open matches, but until I can actually find a group to play with, I don't know.

I might be able to proxy cards, depends on if the 2017 tournament rules allow for that. I mostly play casually though.

It has completely different pilots than the original Falcon, but to be honest the stuff in HOTR kicks the old Falcon's ass, aside from engine upgrade. Rey and TFA Han get more play than any other Falcon pilot. I personally prefer the YT-2400 just because its a bit more fun playing Dash and just acting like a fool while blowing everyone away while doing barrel rolls everywhere.

For printing cards, just make a word document and scale them correctly at first. Print them on thicker paper.

For the falcon- The original falcon gives you some staple upgrade cards (ok, just Luke, VI, and Engine...) and for pilots, it has-

The HotR falcon gives you

List is done. It can be made almost entirely with HoTR, Rebel Aces, and what you already have.

General plan is that you use Black One to keep the locks off, flying in formation. Biggs takes Evade actions via Jan. This lets you go balls-to-the-wall offensive with the other 2.

The only card missing from your collection would be Push the Limit.

also, some commentary on the list that you made-

When the game was first made, Ordinance,
(missiles/torpedoes) was too weak, among other aspects of the game. Since then, various fix cards have been released to make underpowered stuff better.

The X-wing was one of those (Integrated Astromech), Ordinance had (Guidance Chips) and (Extra Munitions).

B-wings have no 'Fix' card, so if they are running munitions, they should be running Guidance Chips.

Advanced Proton Torps are good if and only if you can ensure you have a focus and a target lock on the turn you fire them. That usually means being able to focus and Target Lock in the same round.

Biggs already has a huge target on his back for being Biggs. He needs to be defensive as possible.

Also, if it wasn't clear earlier- I wasn't being sarcastic earlier when I said Biggs was the best pilot in the game. Keeping him alive for a turn longer can/will win you games.
