My first order of business is to trace out the town's sewer system/underground cave network and set up a campsite somewhere comfortable preferably near a fresh water source, the first season will be spent mapping out the entirety of the sewer system, finding out where the drain pipes start and end, killing level 3 threat and lower monsters with my arcane lightning bolt enchanted gun and my arcane magic spells and getting trained and healed when necessary.

Once I have established a safe perimeter and camp, its time to set up my piss bomb making workshop. Buy all the equipment described from the alchemy shop and market. Main bomb making reagents are nitric acid/aqua fortis, mercury/quicksilver. ethanol/rectified spirits from the bar and aluminum shavings and promptly get to work.

My daily routine will be setting up large cauldrons underneath the drain pipes from men washroom urinals, let the cauldrons collect piss as I go about hunting to meet my quotas, at around the evening when the cauldrons are full, start boiling the piss down, do some training on the side, as well as study at the library researching ways to extract and store monster souls in arcane binding traps, practice sniping and etc. At night filter the boiling piss through a hopper lined with fine linen cloth, let the filtered piss cool and then slowly pour in nitric acid, urea nitrate will precipitate out as yellowish/whitish crystals due to being poorly soluble in water solutions, wash the crystals with cold water and filter again, collecting and storing the crystals away in my pock dimension in waterskins. Once every week I make a trip to the town, to buy more reagents and supplies.

A couple a seasons in, start making mercury fulminate to act as my explosive primer, dissolve mercury with nitric acid in a large flask and slowly pour in ethanol, do this in the open air with a lot of ventilation if possible, the poison resistance will mitigate a lot of the harmful effects of the toxic fumes. Let the reaction cool down and wash with water, mercury fulminate will precipitate out as pinkish crystals, filter with a linen clothed hopper, extract and store wet.

In the season leading up to the culling is when I start manufacturing my bombs, the visitor perk is going to be extremely useful in this regard, I can pop into a public library, access the internet and memorize the public domain and free publications on improvised explosive devises and explosively formed perpetrators, thanks to recall and relatively good int I should be able to retain and write down all the information with constant back and forth trips.

Head to the blacksmith and use whatever tributes I have collected to commission containers, bowls and brass caps to be made. The basic pipe bomb will be filled with a 4:1 mixture of urea nitrate to aluminum shavings, sealed with candle/bee wax with a brass percussion cap filled with mercury fulminate affixed inside each bomb through a narrow tube with a spring loaded striker pin held in place by a firing pin needled above the primer. I can rig up trip wire landmines or throw them like grenades or set them off manually with my gun.

EFP traps are just going to be metal drums filled with the urea nitrate and aluminum explosive mixture packed in and sealed with a inverted copper bowl with the same mercury fulminate primer and detonating mechanism.

This build only makes the following assumptions which I think are very reasonable;

1) That enchanting your weapons with magical properties allows them to somewhat scale in damage with intelligence.
2) A single stat point represents peak human conditioning of that respective attribute, a stat of say 5 in defense means you 5x more healthy and durable than the peak human conditioning would allow.
3) It is possible to capture monster souls in magical binding traps for long term storage as long as you have high enough intelligence, magical finesse and have put in the research time at the library to make it work.
4) Arcane lightning bolts behave like real lightning bolts.

During the culling I plan to set up a entrenched position, dig a small tunnel network with emergency escape routes and set up non magical explosive traps in a large perimeter in the shortest time possible and sit and wait. The plan is to use my situational awareness from all seeing eye's 360 degree vision and telescoping sight, killer instinct's Xray/night/blood vision and improved tracking, detect magic's arcane eyes as well as wurm soul's vibration detection to identify and track enemy threats before they find me.

If its a single alone and weak hunter from days of careful observation, I can probably pick them off very quickly with two shots from my arcane lightning bolt gun, one shot from pulling the trigger and a simultaneous followup shot from release, my rational is lightning travels at 1/3rd the speed of light, meaning it takes ~10 microseconds for a bolt to travel 1 km, the peak human reaction time is probably about ~20-12 milliseconds, someone with 10+ speed can reduce that down to 1-2 milliseconds which is still a hundred fold slower then the lightning bolt shot, thus if I have the preemptive strike, the enemy hunter literally cannot react to my attack because my attack is faster then the speed of thought.

If its a group of hunters or an exceptionally strong hunter, I immediately pack up my bags and move to a different location and set up a defensive position again.

I opted to reduce my defense down to 5 in order to take indomitable for the mind corruption illusion resistance and rearranged my skills so I can take hybrid. Hybrid is just too damn versatile not to take and very very configurable for the situation at hand and according to whatever monster souls I manage to capture. I also dropped recall for finesse to just squeeze a little bit more efficiency out my spellcasting as well as to improve the accuracy and precision for long range sniping.

The standard hybrid configuration would probably be wurm soul for the seismic detection and improved digging ability, cerberus for the extra arcane limbs so I can shoot my gun as well as cast spells and throw bombs at the same time and basilisk for the petrifying gaze, to slow down and paralyze threats to continually bombard them with explosives and arcane lighting bolt shots.

The logistical soul loadout would probably be spider soul for the magic conducting silk which I can thread around my bombs and enchant to amp their explosive power or to act as trip wires, fox soul to slowly replenish mana and of course wurm soul for digging out tunnels and trenches.

All of these monster souls should be very easily acquired and its only a question of killing and acquiring souls of the highest possible quality before the culling begins.

I envy people like Beri that can make multiple CYOA's at even a relatively quick pace. I'm on revision number like 6 because I get a new idea that requires a slight change in tone, and have to redo a bunch of the content I thought I was good on because it's now too dark.

I've gone from "grim low fantasy" to "Saturday morning cartoon" and the brightness train hasn't pulled the breaks yet. I just wanted to make something dark-ish, man.

It started as "retired dude has to come out of retirement to do a thing." Then I ended up focusing on one small part of it (Being able to take an apprentice) and it turned into "Being the badass old mentor guy that probably dies at the end."

Rather then a Jazz & Coffee house outside city limits that has Irish Coffee on the hidden menu it's a private yacht party for the rich, powerful and important.
I didn't mean to choose the same team as last time but they seem like the best combination for an entertainer build, Tanya and Billy preform whilst Katie is hospitality face.

Having a boat means Great Awakening effects me less, those I pander to are less likely to be swayed by the little people whilst being a private function out at sea, potential to be spied on is further reduced.
That guy goes to show that either Luna or I haven't been as quiet as we thought.
