It's pretty much a straight upgrade for animal companions, truth be told. Get a lion/tiger companion and give it Kinetic Fist and watch the tears be shed. You can also end up with such shenanigans as taking Interweave Composite Blast and ending up getting composite blasts as early as level 3 (if human).

I mean, it depends what you're looking to get out of an MMO, but Wildstar hits the marks for me:
1. Super fun skatepark-like movement that lets you do insane shit once you get good with it
2. Fucking AWESOME player housing that's only getting better
3. Frequent updates with new content

I mean, if you fundamentally don't like some of their core mechanics, like non-targeted aiming and constantly having to move during fights, you're not gonna enjoy it, but I know plenty of people who love pretty much everything about that game.

The majority of pfg people I'm playing or have played with are really big on roleplay.
So much so that it can wrap around into a problem when sessions achieve so little in plot terms because of how much character chat and interaction there is between events, making the DM wait because they don't want to interrupt things.

It's become such a pickle for some GM's, that they opted to open up freeform channels in the group discords so people could get the fluffy RP out of their system off-session so the plot could advance during scheduled time. Players are usually pretty good about their mechanics and turns, but sometimes it really depends on how awake they manage to be and how experienced they are.

Honestly pfg acts like any character interaction is good interaction and pads sessions with pointless shit to the point nothing ever gets done. I've seen this happy multiple times where games move at absolute snails paces.

Most of pfg isn't great at characters either or character acting.

Going from 12 (+1 mod), then equipping a belt of giant's strength +2 will bring your strength score to 14, which brings your mod to +2. Thus, your melee attacks would go from having a +1 bonus to a +2 bonus instead.

People do a fairly good job roleplaying. I think sometimes we get bogged down in too much fluffy crap durring sessions that could be handle off session, but that's not a big deal. The one thing I like about being in /pfg/ games is that most everybody is finding their mechanical niches of their builds. Really there's only one person that I play with that I'd say went out of their way to over-optimize their character.

Archdevils are the Dukes of Hell with Asmodeus as the King, very structured and organized.

Demon Lords are basically petty tyrants who control their slice of the Abyss through personal magnetism, power, or sheet brute strength.

The Horsemen and Daemon Lords aren't so much rulers as they are agents of chaos. They don't rule, they don't scheme, they sow strife and ruin upon the Material Plane.

Also Lamashtu doesn't give a FUCK about her children, if her baby can't survive against a pack of adventurers than it deserves to die.

I'm told that whip-wielding warpriests are super fun but are they hindered by going strength instead of dex?

Do types of vision ever come up in your games? 90% of the time I wind up with a table full of Darkvision races, because that gets handed out like candy. And I've literally never seen a situation where Low-Light vision was significant, in anyone's games.

Dark environments and light sources just feel like a waste of time when I integrate them and run the game.

Well first, I'd homebrew that anyone with Martial Weapon Training can use them as if they had Rapid Reload. Then I'd have options where you can have money spent to autment them to increase the poundage of the drawstring, as well as give them dozens of other modular upgrades you can spend money one, like scopes, dampeners, bayonets, quicker reloading mechanisms, and the like.

Well, they ran into a chick with a crossbow that wants to kill Thorfinn, because he killed her dad back when he was a little edgelord.

The war in the Baltic Sea is beginning to boil up, and Canute is planning on using it to get all the Vikings and Jommsvikings to kill eachother

That loser son of the guy who Thorfinn made a deal with is still chasing them, that was until he got captured by some raiders, was made a slave, and is now working for Thorkell

Thorkell is begging for a war to fight in, as he's been bored out of his goard since being made a governer

Floki, the guy who paid for Thors to get killed is making a power play to make his son Baldyr the next head of Jommsborg, even though he's just a child and doesn't want to.

There's some psycho Sami kid with a spear that wants to fight Thorfin.

Thorfin bodies a bunch of Jomsvikings with just his fists, without killing a single one, and finds out Floki was the one who had Askeladd kill his dad

Thorfinn doesn't want anything to do with any of this, and wants to leave the Baltic ASAP. Which is a problem since Floki has ordered a hit on him for being Thors's son.

That Sami kid has kidnapped Leif and the crew, in order to bait Thorfinn into a fight.

Basically everything is SNAFU, and Thorfinn is doing his best to keep a level head and protect everyone he can, even some unrelated female slaves that he rescued for reasons. And basically it seems the running theme here is that Baltic people are all violent fuckwits who need to kill each other off.

Oh, and before I forget, said crossbow chick is now following the group, because Thorfinn promised that his life belongs to her, and after he fulfills his goal, or if he ever strays from his path, she has the right to murder him on the spot. Also said girl spends most of the time being brooding and acting like Thorfinn did at the beginning of the story.

That's exactly why I would do it. Betraying their expectations and using cliches and meta-knowledge against them would be amazing. Although I'd do my best to have a fun time with everyone, as I mostly like character building and giving player characters a good tale to tell. When your sorcerer is impaled by a centaur dual-wielding greatswords after charging through his two Wall of Flame spells and pinning him against an altar in a not!Egyptian pyramid, you don't mind your character just died because you had a fun time with him and he went out in the most metal way. I'm sure the GM has some nifty ideas but it's written as a horrible mush. Given the intro itself is confusing and can't paint a proper picture in the mind's eye, I doubt the game itself will be any better.

I *think* it's meant to be a modern setting using pathfinder rules and retro concepts are made new (like laser swords and such) in a world where dimensional reality fucked off and now there are blurred lines between worlds, but that's just a complete guess.
