That's not how gestalt works. When you have two class features that overlap, you take the higher one, not add them together. You'd get 4 skill ranks -1 from your int modifier from your druid side, and nothing from the sorcerer side.

You can only have as many skill ranks in one skill as you have hit dice. Please see http://www.d20pfsrd.com/skills/ and look at "acquiring skills" section.

One of the adjustments I've already made was the distance that they can target touch AC. 1-2 increments for most weapons, 3 for scoped rifles. Anyone else have any device, even just theoretical?

Also keep in mind that this isn't just for possible gunslinger PCs, I intend for enemies to use a few of these as well if I go through with this.

There's a lot of nobles but honestly this is probably the one with the best motivation. Most of the others, besides Sinh, are basically lesser nobles that are seeking revenge for this or that, but this one has a legitimate claim to the throne and is pressing the claim. His personality is fun although basic; there's a lot of room for development now or later. All around he's a solid character, I'd like to hear a little more about his personality but that's about it. There could be some fun developments with Kyron having to figure out how the commoners do things, although knowing Overlewd's plot they're not going to be commoners for long, I expect Kingdom Building rules to be soon.


Backstory [ 7 / 10 ] - Solid, but nothing exceptional.
Ambition [ 8 / 10 ] - Taking over an empire is pretty ambitious.
Villainy [ 4 / 10 ] - I mean he's a bit of a dick but it's not like he doesn't have a legitimate claim to the throne, it's a weak one but it still exists. If the party includes anyone who's good at management and so on, then Kyron is more of an antagonist-type than a straight up villain.
Party Value [ 7 / 10 ] - A midget with 17 STR. He works as a face although certainly not as well as a Succubus, and he can deal some reasonable damage with UC Monk, using Sorcerer to buff himself apparently. Garbage saves for now though, despite being a Monk.
Sexy [ 5 / 10 ] - /ss/ bait and not much else here.

I'm building a Hidden Blade and wondering if Eldritch Scoundrel is really worth it? No rogue talents, half sneak attack, half skill ranks/level and no uncanny dodge.

All for Magus casting using the Wizard list? It seems...underwhelming. Especially since Hidden Blade doesn't get access to the really good damage disciplines, and it synergizes poorly with one of its base disciplines (Mithral Current).

I know utility is king, but is sacrificing basically everything the Rogue does well actually worth it?

I'm a huge fan of her setup and concept, but we run into the very real problem of Crytha just not fitting with the concept of Overlewd. She's not a villain. She's not an Overlord. The worst part about her person is her slight misandry and being a Gnoll. Either pump up her villainy or pump up her ambition, as it is she's more of a good but desperate tribe leader who has a case of might makes right. Like, seriously, she feels almost like some sort of vassal, not a main character. As far as her backstory it makes sense but suffers because it's too cursory to let its uniqueness take hold, you should expand on this. She's workable as a concept, but the execution stops her from working, imo, in Overlewd.

Concept [ 9 / 10 ] - I like the concept but...
Backstory [ 6 / 10 ] - The backstory is workable but should be expanded.
Ambition [ 3 / 10 ] - She wants to make sure her tribe survives, but that could easily just mean a merger with other surrounding tribes. It doesn't mean she goes full Genseric.
Villainy [ 2 / 10 ] - I mean being a Gnoll gives her free points because they're ALWAYS cunts but she's not even a mean Gnoll. Combined with her lack of ambition I'm not seeing her as a villain.
Party Value [ 7 / 10 ] - She works as a party member, Triple Goddess is hardly ever not useful.
Sexy [ ??? / 10 ] - I'll let you decide on this one.

Like Crytha, the concept is unique and in this case funny, but also like Crytha, he's just not a goddamn villain, he's like, the comic relief vizier or something who just wants to eat strawberry shortcake all day - and in this case it looks almost like that's actually what he wants. He needs more ambition. His backstory is hard to judge because this is a pretty unique concept after all, but expanding on what he actually wants and his experiences with humans and shunning by kittens will probably help.

Okay so shitposting aside, this guy has issues. Why are there elves and half-orcs in a gnomish tribe? Elves are [accepted] by the Empire, not driven out, and I imagine the same goes for half-orcs. Why is his childhood friend an elf? HOW did he even trade places with an ELF? Why in the world did his grandfather leave him the inheritance when tribes don't generally use primogeniture succession with kid leaders? How is he CN when he 'takes his responsibilities very seriously'? How is he even taking those responsibilities seriously when he fucked off?
Beyond that, his ambition is pretty big since it amounts to turning back the clock, but much like the last two apps, he's not actually evil, at all. He's on the wrong side of history but that's it.

Concept [ 6 / 10 ] - While the concept itself isn't bad, it meshes [horribly] with most other contenders, especially almost every noble.
Backstory [ 4 / 10 ] - So many questions.
Ambition [ 8 / 10 ] - More details would bump up the score even more. We hardly even know what the 'old days' are even like.
Villainy [ 2 / 10 ] - Much like Kyron, he doesn't actually seem to be evil at all and isn't even an asshole to make up for it. In fact, you could easily have him as a sympathetic NPC in other campaigns.
Party Value [ 2 / 10 ] - As a druid it's hard for him to be completely useless but he manages to get close. Kevin, swallow your pride and take the general's advice, this guy's build is horrible.

Garret is pretty weird. He's probably one of the only people applying who made a legit psychopath, yet made a psychopath who [isn't] just doing it for the giggles. If I had suggestions, I'd ask for an expansion on his future plans and personality; otherwise he's solid, if extremely fucking evil. How willing is he to cooperate with lawbreakers? Consider that your party is likely to be lawbreakers, monsters, and traitors.

Concept [ 6 / 10 ] - An interesting take on the LE "necessary evil" type. He doesn't want to be the guy on top running shit, he just wants to be feared as a boogeyman that will come for you in the night if you commit a crime or fail to punish criminals.
Backstory [ 6.5 / 10 ] - Edgy, but somehow still believeable and gives a solid-yet-flimsy reason for his action.
Ambition [ 3 / 10 ] - His ambition isn't actually small, but it isn't overlord-ish.
Villainy [ 8 / 10 ] - Yeah, this guy is capital "E" Evil and a stepford smiler on top for extra creep. I'm taking off points for being too over the top and almost unbelieveable, but keep in mind that in real life, psychopaths and sociopaths are capable of much much worse for no reason at all.
Party Value [ 7 / 10 ] - Nothing to complain about, fits his intended roles well.
Sexy [ 6 / 10 ] - He's an edgy prettyboy, which means while men might not like him, girls sure do.

Umbranae's appeal to me comes from her absurdity. In this sense she actually gets bonus points for her otherwise ridiculous backstory of 'this is how I became a dragon'. Her personality is weird - while I get that the ritual warped her and turned her a little more evil, how much is left of Vernessa? How much did the ritual warp her and how much did it simply give her a confidence boost? I can easily see Vernessa, the downtrodden and the shunned, turning vengeful, bitter, and mean towards her former bullies if only she were given a little confidence to back it up - it doesn't need to be really warped, so consider doing that instead of magically changing up her person. Even her excitability can be covered by giving her more confidence and self-respect.

Concept [ 7 / 10 ] - Funny yet passably reasonable.
Backstory [ 7 / 10 ] - "What the fuck". Besides the dragon bit, it's actually pretty stock bullying stuff - but that's okay, because it works.
Ambition [ 8 / 10 ] - From executing her bullies to (apparently) raping her old crush to taking over the empire, what's not to like?
Villainy [ 6 / 10 ] - She's self-centered and interested in petty revenge that is unlikely to turn out to be petty, so she's okay, but she doesn't come off as serious. Or determined.
Party Value [ 6 / 10 ] - I mean, she's not useless but she's not exactly the most useful. I think she should focus on getting the most out of either healing / support or direct damage, and not try too hard to get both.

Oh hey, Kyron's player here, thanks a bunch for the review! Concerning his personality, I've always been one to develop and show off personality in actual play rather than trying to describe every aspect of their personality at chargen, but I think Kyron's got a fun frame for his personality. I like the idea of him kinda stumbling to figure out how commoners do things though, thanks for that idea.

Yeah, Kyron's not meant to be like a hands-rubbing maniacal laughter type of villain, he's primarily just selfish and willing to do whatever if it's for his benefit. That said, he's definitely far from good, and he takes it a step too far to really be considered neutral either. I mentioned the little bit in his backstory about how he sometimes entertained the idea of organizing some sort of "accident" for some of his brother, not because it'd move him up the list of inheritors though but because he just -really- can't handle being looked down on. He's the type of person that, if he was ruler, would probably call for someone's execution over an insult. Or else arrange for some unfortunate accident to happen to them that -totally- has nothing to do with him.

Eh, I don't think they're -so- bad for a level 1 character, but they certainly are lower than you'd expect for a monk. Can't do much about that though due to MAD, but between monk bonus feats and bloodline feats, I should be able to pick up a couple feats to help with my saves. Draconic bloodline has Great Fortitude, for example, and there's plenty of spells that can help with saves.

Alright, everything else aside, the Duke has a severe problem - he's not level 1. In fact his backstory makes him sound like he's level 10+ and suitable for being a midboss. Other than that his personality and backstory amount to memes - funny memes to be sure, and being a literal tentacle monster helps, but memes nonetheless, *with little else to back them up*. Expand on his backstory and personality so he's not just hungry for redheads, as it is the man is a walking magical realm.

Concept [ ? / 10 ] - This is literally tentacles and redhead fetish the character.
Backstory [ 4 / 10 ] - He's not level 1, and his backstory, while otheriwse passable, is otherwise just that - passable.
Ambition [ 7 / 10 ] - He wants to take over the Empire like any other noble but his reason for doing so seems to be more about capturing all the redheads.
Villainy [ 9 / 10 ] - He's a card-carrying villain. Fuck if this were a campaign he'd probably show up to the final boss fight in a burst of black flames with past NPCs and minibosses (all redheads) mindbroken and impaled on his tentacles while laughing evilly.
Party Value [ 8 / 10 ] - Oh yeah he works all right, very very solid DEX frontliner with grapple and endurance capabilities due to ridiculous AC and solid saves.
Sexy [ 9 / 10 ] - I have a thing for tentacles.

It's shit. Readied actions are usually shit, because it's almost always better to do something now than to do something later. There are some decent uses of readied actions, usually involving spells, but they're the minority. Bracing against a charge is especially shit, because it basically requires GM pity to work. You could just ready an action to attack when they enter your reach, and sacrifice damage for a way more reliable trigger.

Lucius doesn't want to take over the Empire. Strangely enough, he's probably the only noble who's more than willing to 100% let the Empire stay as it is. What he wants is to set up a 'safehouse' kingdom where his family can run off to, all because he wants to keep his sister pure. It might be interesting if his sister is ambitious and doesn't want to fuck off to a peaceful little kingdom with little prospect for expansion. I think he should be given a little more on his feelings on what amounts to RNGesus fucking his shit up - I get he's supposed to be stoic, but stoicism means he doesn't let emotions show - not that he doesn't have emotions.

Concept [ 6 / 10 ] - It's a fairly normal concept, so there's not much to say here.
Backstory [ 8 / 10 ] - The backstory is generic but it works. Expanding on his relationship with his sister and his sister's personality (just a little) might help to add depth to the relationship that's central to his person.
Ambition [ 9 / 10 ] - As I said, he's interesting because he DOESN'T want to topple the Empire. He wants to make a new one nearby, which is arguably harder.
Villainy [ 0 / 10 ] - Lucius is a big old softy.
Party Value [ 7 / 10 ] - Makes himself useful as a frontliner and likely flier later while not leaving many glaring holes.
Sexy [ 10 / 10 ] - "Yes".

Well, it went pretty badly, GM didn't kill me but I lost hard.
It went like this:

>Because I'm flatfooted my defenses are lower and he gets to grapple
>Due being Dex based the grapple condition fucks me harder than to a Str based monk
>I'm my turn I attack and try to Stun but he passes the DC 16 easily (Girallon has +9 Fort) and due penalties don't hit as much as I should

>In my turn I do the same as my first turn with similar outcome (I didn't even hit with the Stun fist nor with the Elbow Smash)
